This place gets a double WOW! The meals here are delicious and just outstanding, from wonderful breakfast dishes to scrumptious lunches, incredible ice cream and desserts. If you haven’t been here cruise on by, your tastebuds won’t regret it.They also have a bar.I ordered food to go today. Stephanie waited on me. She knows her stuff, she is pleasant, hard worker and took care of me during a busy lunch day.I ordered the Moo cheeseburger and it has to be one of the top 5 Burgers I’ve ever had. My partner had the brisket salad it was very good, house dressing was perfect, the brisket was cooked perfectly, it melted in your mouth.Outstanding food here, we will be back here very soon.
Moo Creamery is a real treat and well worth visiting even though its a bit off the beaten track. Youve got to try the alcoholic shakes - they are quite incredible on a hot summer day. We ordered the PB & B Burger and the Meatloaf Sandwich. Both meals were unique and outstanding. We arrived shortly after noon and although there was a wait to sit inside of about 20 mins, we were seated immediately outside. The patio is shaded and although a bit warm, not overly so - especially if you order one of them shakes!
The food is delicious. They have the best burgers and ice cream!! Great atmosphere and service. Probably the best place to take the family in Bakersfield.
Next time I ll spend half of my USA-visit in here. From breakfast over lunch, ice, dinner and evening. All we checked had been great.Thank of Guy F. we came over from GER and we stayed. Recommend this place and will be back! (Guy is a wise guy tnx)
Absolutely delicious food! It can be on the pricy side however the quality is top notch and you get what you pay for! Fun selection of ice cream but not too many options for a place called moo creamery ( was craving a banana split... but they didnt make it ) 😞 still highly recommended and super delicious! Give them a try if you havent!
My husband and I went to Moo Creamery for the first time last night. We were shopping in Bakersfield and Googled great restaurants nearby. We were so excited that indoor seating was available after months of outdoor dining in other places. There was an extensive menu including cocktails and a lot of different beers. We had some of the best fish and chips with tartar sauce that wed ever had. We also shared a PB and B burger with peanut butter and bacon jam that was delicious. The food was awesome but the best part is the ice cream selection! We took home salted caramel, chocolate and maple bacon....all were amazing, especially the maple bacon. Loved our service too and we cant wait to go back.
Quick SummaryOne of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING. Best sweet potato fries Ive had and the dipping sauces are phenomenal.Food- 5 starsI cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed those sweet potato fries. I thought I wouldve been blown away by the peanut butter burger (which was okay), but I will keep coming back to Moo because of those sweet potato friesService- 5 starsStaff members are very friendly and attentive. Very accommodating on drink and food recommendationsAtmosphere- 5 starsIts a cool old-school diner atmosphere. Its like Johnnie Rockets, but nicer.Value- 4 starsIts a bit pricier than other burger joints, but with the high quality of the food and the large portions, you definitely get a good value on itBottom LineYou have to get the sweet potato fries!! Its what keeps me coming back
Burgers are amazing and the ice cream is good too definitely recommend checking this place out
Great burgers and fries. The waitstaff members are all friendly, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Terrific ice cream as well, with a variety of tasty flavors. One visit and you will know why Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives featured them in an episode.
Amazing food and out of this world service. You can’t go wrong with any of the burgers. The sweet potato fries with marshmallow dip was a great touch.
The food is great in one way. The flavor is pretty good. However this is an extremely expensive burger and they dont even offer a side of fries with that you have to spend $7 for French fries outside of the 13 to $15 for the burger. If they offered french fries with your burger I might give it a higher star rating but right now I feel as though its a bit of a rip off
Definitely out of the way in a commercial area more likely to have a Dr. doctor office than a restaurant. Enjoyable location with a good atmosphere. My 4 stars is based on my comparison to other creamery concept locations in other states. The chocolate milk is milk with some syrup. The ice cream is good but I didnt love the flavors I tried. The food was solid and there are some ingredient choices on the menu that are not traditional so it makes for an interesting read. The burger was good. The chicken as well. The BBQ sauce wasnt my favorite but not bad. Overall definitely worth at least one visit.
Moo Creamery has the best sweet potato fries Ive ever had. I dont know how they do it! Service was quick and friendly. Their Moo Burger is really stellar, fresh and delicious ice cream, and they even have healthy options. Tried the Grains and Greens with Salmon. Yum! Will visit if we pass through Bakersfield again.
The burgers are amazing! The ice cream is amazing! My server was pretty good at his job too. I would definitely recommend, Im definitely going to do a second visit.Note: anyone going here for the first time dont be dissuaded by the location. As you approach this place it seems like an only corporate area. I almost turned around. Lol
Moo was recommended by several people. Sunday brunch was Fantastic. Glad we got there early.
Busy but everyone was still attentive. Ice cream was great and they somehow made cauliflower taste good. If Im ever in town again this will be a stop. FYI theyre located in a very random industrial area.
The service and food were AMAZING! Bacon gravy fries, baked French toast.... delicious! We came here for brunch dining in the restaurant and then ordered ice cream to go as we were traveling through. She packed ice packs with our ice cream to ensure it wouldnt melt. When we ate it almost 2 hours later, it was prefect! Thank you!
Food is phenomenal, takes a little while to get food, but definitely worth the wait. Our server was one of the sweetest women you could meet. Very friendly environment.Highly recommend!
Everything homemade. Excellent food and ice cream. The homemade pickles served with the burger were enough of a reason to go there. Burgers and moo fries were the bomb. Also ordered a rum ice cream drink that was equally fabulous
We liked everything!! From brisket salad to a cheese burger and chocolate shake with homemade sweet potato fries. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived too!!
Always bomb. Got the Bleu cheese and bacon burger. Very tasty.
Loved it. We were passing through and looking for a restaurant that was family friendly, casual and better than fast food. Moo was perfect. The interior is a kind of contemporary 50s diner decor which is both fun and cute. They offer all kinds of craft beer and have a retro video game table. The menu could be described as upgraded American favorites, with gourmet touches. We went with a very picky 6 year old who devoured the kids grilled cheese while the less picky adults enjoyed everything we ordered. Of course three ice cream was delicious. The restaurant is located in a warehouse area so theres plenty of parking. They were pretty steady when we arrived but took care of us quickly and the restaurantbwas very clean.
I have been here before a few years ago and had the Bacon Love ice cream, but this time I tried the PB&B burger. It has homemade Peanut butter, bacon jam and a chili jam. I had them add bacon too. Cheddar cheese and even potato chips. I know you might be thinking yuck. I never did, but wow it was one of the best and unique burgers Ive ever had. Of course they apologized for running out of the Bacon Love ice cream and explained it was a little soft and they didnt mix in the bacon, they just put it on top along with Butterscotch and salted caramel sauce that I asked for. No apology was needed. It was incredible. Wonderful meal. Both times I have been I loved it. They have a lot of options on their menu. Im sure they have something for everyone.
Its fantastic that all their food is made in-house. The brisket/Tri tip sandwich is to die for. Its also served with homemade potato chips. You also need to try their fried cauliflower, its the best.If youre cruising down through Bakersfield this is the place to go.
Gray spot kind of tricky to locate it in the business park but totally worth it. Great ice cream and burgers. I recommend the Moo burger personally.
This place has amazing food with great burgers and amazing desserts! The service was great too. Highly recommend this place if youre in the area!
This used to be a favorite of our families, but it seems to have changed. I am giving it a 4 stars hoping that it was just this one time that the food was jusy so so and bland. Normally the Chilaquiles is spicy and delicious. This past week though it was not very flavorful at all. Our sweet potatoe fries are usually supurb with the best spicy ketchup and an amazing cinnamon flavored marshmellow sauce, but neither was like it used to be. Hoping next time we drive for it they will be back to normal.
The food was excellent and the waitress was great. The hostess and other workers looked like they did not want to be there. No smiles and frumpy faces.
This place has all the trappings of a good haven!! Their flavor combinations are incredible. The jalapeno cream cheese ice cream and breakfast tacos are two strong recommendations!!
The food was great, the environment is good. But watching the male server touch everyones food with his bare hands is absolutely disgusting. Unfortunately wont be going here again due to health concerns. Real shame.
Just great food and ice cream. We purposely drove there last summer and sat outside in the parking lot (due to COVID19) in 116 degree heat and had lunch. That’s just how good the food is!
The lady was very kind and generous in her sample sizes of the ice cream flavors. All of the ice creams were delicious. They even had 3 flavors of dairy free sorbet.
Fantastic food and service, its a little slow if you are on your lunch hour... so be careful.
The entrees are delicious! There was about a 20 minute wait, and our mouths were watering as we looked at all the plates going by us! You will be beyond satisfied!
After 13 years I personally believe this place has found its stride and earned a solid place in the hearts of the Bakersfield citizens. The food is fantastic and the service even with all the chaos was always spot on. It may not be to your specific pallet but it totally worth a try and a pleasure to eat there as they do stand out from the crowd.
Great food alittle pricey but hey its quality
Always a great experience. Great food. Rotating specials so always something new to try.
Plug the address into your sat-nav. It can be a challenge to find if youre not sure exactly where it is. Went for breakfast. Nice little place and service was prompt. I had the breakfast burrito. It was flavorful and filling. For the price youd think it might come with something besides a tablespoon of green sauce (Which is tasty. Ask for more!). It looked a bit lonely on the plate. But it is what it is.They have a great looking menu and some decadent desserts. Well try it again for sure.
Moo Creamery was delicious..staff took care of us. Food was great.
Loved it! I had the Eggs Benedict and my husband had the Chillaqules. Both were delicious. Best eggs benedict in town. We also had thr moo chibatta with jam. Bread is freshly baked, so its a must to order. You have to go check it out.
If you are thinking about going here, stop thinking and go. One of the best burgers I have ever had. All the food was phenomenal!!! I had the El Fuedo and it was great. My son had the 24 hours burger and loved it. Also got the cookie monster and bacon lovers shake which were both awesome!!! You must come here is if is on your way!! Even if it is out of your way come here!!!
Food was delicious. Our group had a good time.
Every time I pass through Bakersfield I have to come here. they are exemplary artisans of Americana cuisine, the best burger of my life and the best ice cream of my life Ive had here. great atmosphere, dogs allowed outside, a litany of sweets, hearty breakfasts and satisfying lunches make this a great restaurant for your pit stop between San Francisco and SoCal but their ice cream is beyond phenomenal. they have new goodies every time I walk in the door, and even the flavors that Im sure are going to be strange turn out pretty decent, like jalapeno popper. the brown sugar ice cream, despite seeming relatively simple, has such a richness and dramatic depth of character and flavor below the surface of each bite that I would lick it off the floor if I spilled it.Moo Creamery has ruined American food for me. no burgers are as unique, subtlety spicy, sweet and melty, tender and satisfying as moo creamerys signature burgers. where can you get sweet potato fries with melted marshmallow topping like Thanksgiving? no ice cream shop has such delicate and refined flavors, lust for adventure, and dedication to the craft as moo creamery. no bar but here can get you a flight of beers to pair with a flight of ice cream. no hole in the wall is so welcoming and friendly. They are the platonic ideal of the Scooby Doo maltshop; so emblematic of how the 50s must have felt, distilled, topped with whipped cream, and hidden away in a business plaza across from a dentist for some reason.I cant get burgers, fries, shakes, ice cream, or cakes anywhere else without thinking of how much better moo creamery is than every other Americana restaurant. they have defined the genre, theyve set the bar and the bar is in space and made of solid gold. go here, 50 stars
Let me start by saying this low review is entirely due to zero consideration for social distance. Im begging the management, please consider the safety of your staff! We came here for breakfast and noticed they were seating people inside, not a big deal on its own if you actually space them out and dont cramp a ton of people in. So we stayed, and then they sat a party of 15 next to us. No exaggeration. And as if they were doing it on purpose, the group loudly yelled that they were at a work meeting So make sure everybody sits up close to someone you dont know! I kidd you not. No one wore masks at all. If you wanted to show an example specifically on how to get people sick, it would be this. Its a shame because our server Salvador was great, really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We tried the breakfast tacos and sweet potato waffle and they were both filling and very tasty. They even make good coffee. I wish theyd think about the safety of their staff having to deal with these big groups, for this reason we wont be coming back and will tell our extensive family in town to avoid it unless the practice stops.
Had the macaroni and cheese appetizer, and a burger. Both were great. Plus I saw the meat was from a local farm where the cows are grass fed and grass finished. Service was good as well
So good! Turkey tostada salad is outstanding! I got the lavender vanilla ice cream for dessert...so good!
Man this place is good! We picked up some ice cream to go for the fam, and all were hits. Strawberry was super delicious and had a more strawberry essence than strawberries themselves! Coffee flavor also super solid. My husband got the peppermint oreo, very minty and delicious!
We had brunch. The Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict was very good. Great ice cream as well. Google Maps does not take you all the way to the location. Took a few more minutes to find it. It is in an unusual commercial/professional office area away from other eateries. The diner has a more modern theme and was very full Sunday at noon. We sat at the bar. Otherwise there would have been a 25 minute wait for inside or outside seating. They serve beer as well.
Drove two hours to try it out! This is great food at a decent price! The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is bc this isnt change my world good! But it is Ill come back good.Basil lemonade: Basil was strong and it was tart but just slightly over sweetened, nothing a little water cant fix.PB&B Burger: This is their peanut butter burger. It was good, the Patty was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The peanut butter didnt overwhelms the burger but complemented the burger perfectly.Asian pork burger: My favorite of the two burgers. The pork was nice and juicy. Again this was seasoned very well and the pickled veggies paired very well with the flavor profiles of the Patty.Gravy fries: these were ok, the gravy was a bit bland. Probably wouldnt get these again. But it wasnt a total loss.Ice cream: delicious is all I have to say!
Food came fast and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Best breakfast place in Bakersfield . However, it may be the best breakfast, lunch dinner place in Bakersfield. I came here for breakfast and it was amazing.
Great food, we had the lamb burger, good atmosphere and the ice cream is excellent. Customer service was also right on. Go!
Absolutely horrible service. Great food tho. Took forever for food refills orders and bill. Really just about anything. Looked like they were way under staffed!.
If you go (AND YOU TOTALLY SHOULD) I highly recommend the brisket rolled tacos and the spiked basil lemonade! Best rolled tacos I ever had and that cocktail is so refreshing and fresh.
My favorite creamery ❤️ friendly service and delicious food. A must stop in Bakersfield the milkshakes are the best in the world. SAL Is awesome!
It had been a long time since wed been to Moo Creamery. My 16 year old picked where we were going for a late lunch and wanted their sweet potato fries with the Marshmallow dip. When we got there it was quite busy inside. We were told it was going to be about a 20 min wait (by a young hostess who was kinda rude and not friendly at all). We also had a 20 month old grandbaby with us. We waited outside in the 105 degree heat and after about 15 minutes the baby was getting restless. A male waiter tending to outside eaters, who i could tell was wondering why we were waiting so long asked if we were waiting on a pick up order. I said no, were waiting for a table. He said ge would check on a table for us and he did so quickly. He came back out and said they were clearing a table for us (by this time we saw at least 3 different groups leave) We finally were called and seated right in the middle. The not so friendly hostess brought a high chair but left the 4th chair there, in the way. I had to remove the chair and take it to her. We sat at our table with menus for 20 minutes without being asked about drinks or food. There was a family seated about 10 minutes after us and the waitress went to them to take their drinks and food order.I flagged down a bus boy and asked him if we could get our waitress to take our drink order and that weve been waiting for awhile. He said hed take our drink order. He brought out our drinks (got 1 wrong but at this point we didnt care, we were glad to have something to drink)we waited awhile longer..still no waitress. I flagged the busser down again..he seemed to be the only person on the floor working for the last 15 minutes. we asked him if he could please find our waitress that we still hadnt seen her at all. He went to the back. FINALLY SHE CAME. We explained that wed been waiting and the only reason we had drinks was because the busser and that shed had taken the other tables orders long ago, even tho we were there waiting before them. She did apologize and gave some excuse. But she did seem genuinely sorry. From that point on everything went smoothly. we got our food, everything was great and we had ice cream. food was good, ice cream was even better. Just frustrated for all the issues prior to ordering.
I love this place so much! I could write paragraphs about how awesome it is, but Ill keep it short... Flights and Bites on Wednesday is amazing. The food and beer selection is amazing (and always rotating!)... If youre fortunate enough to get Sierra on the counter, everything will be PERFECT! Tell me Im wrong...
If you have not tried this place yet, you are missing out! Great service to begin with. Offered my son a hot chocolate that he absolutely loved and he is addicted to hot chocolate from Starbucks. I ordered the breakfast tacos. Thought it would be simple and plain because I wasnt too hungry. I cannot believe how amazing they were. Pulled bbq pork with scrambled eggs and guacamole!!! I ate past full. My youngest, the picky one, got classic Benedict eggs. I thought he wouldnt like it, but he left nothing on his plate! Well worth the journey and price. I cant wait to go back and take friends.
If you’re local or just passing through this is a must stop. The food is very unique. Always fresh, healthy and great quality products. They have a special menu daily on top of their regular menu. A variety of beers a deserts. I’ve been here multiple times over the years and they never disappoint.
All we can say is WOW!!! Burgers and all our food and their service was off the charts. Take the time to go find this place!
Its been a while since I was there...but they had this salad that was so delish blue cheese chicken. Bomb!! And the ice cream 😋
The food was amazing, everything tasted deliciously fresh. My family were very satisfied with there choice of food. Chilaquiles were prfect, my kid devour his tuna melt sandwich and i had the Spanish chorizo burger with date spread great combination of flavors. I gave it a 4 stars only because our server was not attentive.
When people are willing to wait outside in 91 degrees under every available tree in sight, you dont have to ask Is it Good?
Very nice atmosphere. Food was great. Service was quick.. Very friendly staff. Loved the malt.
Loved this place just like the show said Bacon ice cream is by far the best
Highly recommend this place, can anyone say freedom! Great food, creative creations, not just another burger place. And you wont want to miss out on the homade ice cream. Bacon lovers this is for you too!
Off the beaten path, creative dining, where everything is homemade. We arrived at 5:15ish and the place was almost empty. By the time we ordered, they were PACKED! Not a seat was available inside or out ... 😂 Three of us had the famous PB&B burger, while our other guest thoroughly enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich. The flavors were a complex treat for our taste buds. Ice-cream was nothing short of amazing... The Somemore sundae is velvety Belgium chocolate ice-cream covered by a blanket of toasted homemade fluff, which is topped off with their own ginger graham crackers. Other flavors enjoyed were: bacon lovers, lemon ginger, and Madagascar vanilla cherry. What an adventure in dining. Service was great and the prices are affordable. Please dont change that! A big shout out to the owner and the creative design chef!!
Love the atmosphere! Its like youre sitting in an old time diner with character! Food is all locally sourced and fresh. I had a PB+B burger and I was not disappointed. Fries are well seasoned and crispy! Service was excellent! Our drinks were never empty and all of our needs were taken care of the whole visit. I will definitely be back soon! 10/10 recommend.
Came in at 12:00pm & was told it was a 10 min wait and they would call my cell when my table was available. Currently 2:30 pm and no call .. when I called the hostess had crossed me out - very rude and judgy I would say. Don’t recommend this spot.
Amazing ice cream and awesome Basil lemonade! 10/10 would recommend- also pretty cheap prices for food and drinks. Will definitely be coming back here! Good customer service too. Very friendly staff and also kid- friendly
Amazing ice cream. They make it in house. One of the few restaurants listed on California Best Milk Recipes
I live near San Diego. The gf said next time were here, shes getting the same thing. This must mean well be back next yosemite trip. Great food.
The food was really good and the service was even better 👍👍👍
