Ive already posted a detailed review on this place after my first visit. Id like to follow up and say that the customer service is epic after several visits here. My special needs teenager has an abundance of random questions and the assistants are patient and friendly.

I visited this store one early afternoon and there was nobody else in the store. I believe there were 3 people behind the counter. One older man and a young woman and a young man. The store itself had a nice selection of items for sale and prices seemed reasonable but none of the employees seemed helpful or to care I was in the store. The only time one of them engaged with me was when I was making a purchase. I probably wont be back.

Its sad that today is their last day!! Most of the stuff is buy one get one 50% off. The Employees are Super Friendly and it will be Sad to see them go!! Hopefully they can come back to Bakersfield and open up shop again in the future!!

Nicely organized. Lots of variety and items are reasonably priced.Clean restroom if you need it as well. Bring your own toilet paper though as there wasnt any when I went.

100% satisfied with the work they did on my sons PS4. The gentleman that helped us was Alex. He was very informative and knew exactly what he was doing. The prompt and friendly service was awesome!

Great place to go to if you want ANY type of game you want. The staff is nice and if you need any game from N64 to Xbox One they’ll most likely have it. Their selection is humongous. HIGHLY recommend.

You tend to find some rare games here that is complete. In laymans terms, complete means that it comes with the complete package, so its the case with the book and the game. Games from the Atari era to modern games for the Xbox One and the PS4. This place is also great to connect with people who have interest in video games and their history. The prices are all over the place; however, if you are in terrible need of getting a game and would like to look and inspect what you want to buy, this is the place for you.This place is definitely recommended.

One of the last surviving game stores that isnt a GameStop. Awesome helpful staff. Amazing prices and deals. New and used games, systems and more. If they dont have what you are looking for theyll find it for you.I much prefer to shop here and help keep a mom and pop shop alive than a corporate money hungry store.Shop locally not corporately.

Great staff and convenient repair. Nice selection of retro things. When game stop refused to troubleshoot your consoles, this is the place to go. Staff was very helpful and found the solution best suited to my situation.

I am very satisfied with service. Unfortunately my ps4 fan burned out and seized up. With in an hour this shop cleaned and repaired my console. Priced fairly. Highly recommended.

Awesome, is I can say. I had gone to many game stores over the previous months looking for info on a racing wheel. I found Alex and he knew his stuff. This store took time to help me find the perfect racing wheel for my Xbox 1. This place is the best. Give them a try for any gaming question. Did I mention I got a great price too?

Took my game systems for diagnostics and repair. Technician worked on it and returned to me same day. Great pricing and the staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Will return for future business.

I walked in to fix my PlayStation 4, the dude looked at it for two seconds and said it’s because there is too much dust, I asked if he could fix it, maybe open the PS4. He explained to me it is a health hazard because of the dust.. and that he sells new ones for 200 something dollars (you can get them online for way cheaper new). To top it off he was very rude about the whole thing and I left feeling as tho it was very pointless to come in the first place.

A very well stocked inventory of used games. The prices are generally fair and comparable with eBay or other markets. I found Tales of Eternia for the PSP here, at a fair price, which was very surprising, since it is a PAL only game. The staff are nice, always friendly, and the stock is well organized.

I enjoy coming in here to find or buy merchandise i usually can find games that im looking for and the pricing here is top notch.

My husband and I stopped by here to see if they could figure out what was wrong with our ps4 console. We received awesome service!! Got our console fixed and cleaned for a really good price! We will be stopping by here again and definitely recommend this place to anyone in the gaming world :)

Probably the best game store in town. They have everything from NES to modern systems. They even have a pretty substantial Atari selection. They also have accessories like controllers as far back as n64. Theres a game room in the back that looks pretty impressive but I havent tried it yet. Any game you purchase will be resurfaced and given to you in like new condition. You really cannot beat this place.

Useful workers and always able to help you regardless of the era of your system.

Ive been going here for the last 4 years. Friendly staff, great prices on games, and the arcade cage is still awesome. Always clean, everythings in order, great place to test newish games too. Ive been able to play test for a bit, and buy the game without feeling surprised or that the publisher cheated me. :p

This place is awesome. Clean and its alphabetized. With games from atari 2600 all the way to the current gen. Its my first stop.

Very surprised with the Game World and would definitely recommend shopping here! Perfect place to shop as a game collector.Before Game World moved into this building, it used to be a company called GameStor. At GameStor, they had a great selection, but my biggest complaint was their pricing was all over the place. Id often find multiple copies of a single game with several different prices.At Game World, this is not the case. I was looking through all of their games while comparing prices with GameStop and I can tell that their staff is constantly pricing games to stay competitive.The store is very clean and organized and the employees were very helpful and friendly. Support local companies and shop here for your gaming needs!

Not a bad choice for old school video games but I wouldnt trade in anything worthwhile in here. You wont get much for it. Better off selling elsewhere or on FB market.

Game World is great place to find older video games. They have games ranging from the Atari 2600, right up to the new systems from Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony. While the selection for the older systems is limited, they have plenty of Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2&3, Wii and DS games. The staff are always friendly.

Ask for Jacob. He helped me out with MK11 and a controller. Definitely will be back.

The employee is just amazing he will knock off game prices if you bring in old games not always but sometimes, the games are cheap, also the place is so clean it has a section for ps3 and Wii its just an amazing store the employee there is amazing i would recommend highly.

Lots of older games for all game platforms. They have a computer room. Good selection of gift ideas such as coffee mugs, mouse pads, slushies etc. Also Mangas. Go check them out! Not the same set up as the other game store that is located nearby on White Lane.

This place has such great deals on used games. They also are quick to refer you to their competition if they dont have what you need. Tgree of tge 5 games I got for xbox 360 were even cheaper than marked. Tgey also carry some manga and anime. Lots of collectables and gift ideas. I got these two pins.

This place is AWESOME. Best BEST game store in Bakersfield! Went there tonight with wife and kids and found an awesome game (brand new game, btw) that was CHEAPER than buying it from xbox market on the xbox one!!! I could browse for hours looking at the Atari, BOXED Genesis, and SNES games they have there. Some still sealed! WOW. So cool to see all of these classic games there plus the new ones. Everyone is so friendly there, also and very knowledgeable! Will be back soon!

Best place Ive ever set foot in. They have all the classics, and more contemporary games and consoles too! They have a HUGE selection of The Legend of Zelda, Pokèmon, and other various franchise collectables. Best service Ive ever had in a video game store. I went in to buy a used Wii so I could go back to playing all three awesome Wii games like Twilight Princess. It was on sale for $15 cheaper than it would have been at GameStop, and I got to view the parts before I paid for it. The games were cheap and the cashier was very friendly.

This place is great for repairing your games and buying some new ones. However, I had a bad experience when an employee told me I was allowed to return and Xbox 360 I had bought for a full refund as long as it was within 30 days. About 3 weeks, 21ish days, later my girlfriend and I brought the defective console back for a refund only to be told it was not store policy. Why tell us we could have a refund if its not store policy???

Just bought an xbox 1 from them and have always bought rare games and toys here!!! Number one in bakersfield for finding the best.

They have a very welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. Ive gotten a few old games from here and seen their gameboy consoles cartridges that just throws me back to when I was a little kid sneaking my gameboys to school.

Really hope business picks up for them; GREAT mom and Pop business and they deserve to remain open.

They have same old games over there man because when i call the game world people they said they dont have new games they have old games on PC and they dont even have a Nintendo switch too go to gamestop though its better man just go.

This store is a video game geeks one-stop shopping heaven. They stock all consoles from Atari to PS4, including games, accessories, controllers, etc. They also do console repairs and disc resurfacing. Their disc resurfacing is a bit pricey compared to other shops, but their machine does the best job I have ever seen. I trust no other store with my discs. Game World also sells amiibo, skylanders, and video game merchandise such as wall scrolls, wallets, plushies, players guides, collectible figurines - you name it, they have it. And if they dont have it their employees will diligently work to get it for you. I have never had a bad experience coming here and this store has become my go-to place for all things video game related.

This was a pretty cool game store. Its definitely better than GameStop. I went there looking for retro games and they had a very good selection and they were the same price (if not a bit cheaper) than resellers at the swap meet. They had around 50 NES games and a good stock of SNES and Genesis games as well. Their retro consoles are a bit pricey though.
