This target is close to my house so Ive been to this target a dozen times. And unfortunately its one of the worst targets Ive been to. The employees are always in a bad mood and not very helpful. Which says more about the management then the employees. I cant say for certain but it seems like they arent treated very well there, which is a shame.The bathrooms are also dirty most of the time. Not to mention the stalls in the womens restroom are literally FALLING APART. Everything is rusty and the stalls wobble like theyre going to collapse its crazy they havent replaced them. Dont forget to hold your stall door closed as it will randomly swing open.Everything else about this target is great. Everything you would expect from a target. They just really need to redo the bathrooms and treat their employees better! The better you treat your employees the happier they will be. Which makes customers happier. Nobody wants to deal with people in a bad mood.Great place to go if you avoid the employees and dont need to go the bathroom.

I (we) had a great time shopping for birthday gifts. Out of Stock on a lot of toys. Clerk said they sell as quick as they get them, order more, sell more.

I understand some people may need to be watched but not EVERYONE. I have money,Im not going to steal so there is no need to follow me all the way till I leave the store. Im a human and I deserve to shop in peace like everyone else. Im tired of these stores, learn how to read people, their actions not appearance.

This is literally how they gave me the cereal box completely open and I noticed as the drive up employee handed it to me and I asked her if she could exchange it since it was completely open. Her response was “No because it would take to long to go back there and find the right one to swap it out”.LIKE WHAT?!!! Is this a joke??? Please keep in mind I was the only one at the drive up and it was early in the morning so target was not busy. I tried calling over and over to talk to a manager and no one EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. I have had a few other bad experiences in the past but this one was just to ridiculous not to share.

Easily the WORST Target in Bakersfield. The drive up at this store is EXTREMELY slow!! Especially compared to the other targets who are way quicker with their drive up and Ive literally been to all the other ones here in town. Hire new pickup people please, its definitely got worse the past several months Ive waited up to 30 minutes+ for my drive up orders even when I order literally only ONE thing.This target has also made mistakes on my orders, for example, Ive ordered $100 wireless buds for pickup and upon pickup my item was NOT in the bag, even the employee noticed and it was scanned as if the item was in the bag (the bag was empty) and it was charged to my bank account. Had to call customer service on the phone and got the run around, finally got my refund after 3 weeks smh !!! Have had many other problems like this at this Ming Target.

How fast they brought it to me

Ordered an item at Walmart. On the way to pick it up received a text saying it was no longer available. Found a similar item at your location. It was ready for pickup before the two hour time frame. Did not have to wait in a long line to pick up. Associate was friendly and chatty as we walked to pick up item. In and out in less than 5 minutes.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Ty this evening as I picked up my curbside pick up from the southwest location. If only the world had more people like Ty! Amazing attitude, great customer, so friendly and good vibes just spilling out! I will be placing a call to the manager in the morning because typically they are only called with complaints! I want them to know how lucky they are to have Ty on their team!

Probably the worst Target I’ve been to. Cashier named Oyon, snatched a hanger out of my 5 yr olds hand. And was rude to me while checking me out, he should not be a cashier if he can’t be friendly to the customers.

This target need to have someone picking up the shopping carts more often. Its been like this since they open. And I see this every time I come here

My experience was so easy to do.

Ordered online to do a pick up on Christmas eve, they charged my gift card and credit card for some items, when I went to pick my items up they only had one of the three things, which I understand, well they still took the money from both cards. So I went to the customer service desk and was told id get a refund on my gift card in 12 hours, so on Saturday (a day and half later still no money) I called the store and the person no spoke with said oh it takes a few days call back tomorrow (Sunday) if its not on there yet. So I waited and called today (Monday still no money) and now no one is answering or they are hanging nup on me.. which is irritating because they stole $25 dollars... I will not go to this store again...

Nice place to shop and kept pretty clean compared to other stores. Its all attached to the mall if you want more to shop for. Lines can be a bit long though but self checkouts help out a bit.

Had items in stock I needed at the moment. Lines are sometimes long, but goes quickly. Plus, have the best pretzel bites around. :) Just really started using Target Circle in my app, makes saving up change easy. Employees are always nice and helpful.

As of lately, they don’t have toilet paper and some other basic essentials. They still have not been able to fully recover from the pandemic buyers. Furthermore, they only have one line for paying which causes buyer to spend more time in line further spreading COVID-19. I have gave this store several attempts over the past few months, but it always comes short of what it used to be.

Just bought a video game and it didnt work and they didnt wnt to return the money or exchange the game... 🤬

I hate going to this target because some deaf lady that works there is so rude and gets mad because we’re shopping the last time I was there that lady told me to leave the kids area and that was the only reason I went don’t go there if you’re shopping for kids clothes

The cashier who helped me was so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time she helped me. I will be returning to the store very soon.

My only concerns are the long lines now becoming longer. Targets are doing amazing work to allow social distancing and sanitary controls to ensure cleanliness. Hopefully there are changes to being able to pick up toiletries.

Use the 5 items or less kiosk!!! Total time saver but they are a little hidden.

Today my sister, my 8 yr. old nephew, my 5 year old niece and I visited this Target and as we were paying at the self check out, the woman in charge of monitoring the self check outs had security come and stand about 5 feet from our station over looking our specific transactions. My sister and I immediately felt targeted by this behavior when there were other people at the other stations. I paid for my items first, then my sister paid for hers and as she was finishing up her transaction the security walked away and the woman, mentioned above, then said thank you to the security as he walked away. Their actions made us feel uncomfortable and we believe this behavior was unnecessary because we gave them no reason to believe that we might steal or anything of that matter, seeing as we were already paying for our items. Targeting people is wrong.

I love this target, it’s my favourite location of the store in town. I’ve been there countless times and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s never been dirty on any of my visits, and the staff is as nice as can be and are VERY helpful. It can be busy from time to time, but not so much as to prevent you from buying what you needed. The prices are fair, and everything is very neat and organized. I’d highly recommend you come here for all your shopping needs

Well, Im very familiar with the layout of Target stores. This one is attached to the Valley Plaza in Bakersfield. Also Target will run the odd sale from time to time. By in large the workers are friendly and dont appear to bothered if asked for help.

Easy to pick up merchandise and not have to wait long time like other places will continue to shop here. Wish they put icecream for available pick up.

We tried to buy a toy on the shelf and could not find the price and the manager said it was discarded material and would not sell it to us. The manager said look for it at Goodwill! We could not believe our ears and they took the toy and would not sell it to us. I have never found a store who would not sell an item, the clerk said there was no charge for it????

It was a very good visit. I had been given a $25 gift card from my health insurance company. It was the 2nd card I have received and this time I went to the Target at Valley Plaza Mall. I really enjoyed the store as everyone was very friendly. The cashier Sabrina was excellent and I signed up for a Target Red Card.

Love this place. For those complaining tho, you shouldnt show up to any business two minutes before closing, just like everyone else, every worker wants to go home. Show up ten minutes before closing and thats still iffy. And for the carts complaint, pick them up if its such a big problem for you or go somewhere else. I have no complaints for this location. Great service and fast and very clean. Two thumbs up!

They are freindlyfor the most part easy access to what Im looking for with one one acception that is the Starbucks. This one is the worst one I go to, between the service being bad to the drinks taste wrong to the point that I mad a formal complaint with Starbuck regional manager. I am one of those that hate complaners but in this case I agree with every one on how bad it is.

Awesome store love target they carry quality stuff compared to any other stores. Target in valley plaza mall is very huge store with almost everything. Stating from Ladies handbags, watches, shoes section for all ages and genders, kids section, men’s and women’s clothing they also have separate youth clothing. This store have CVS pharmacy inside the store and also Starbucks. They also carry electronics, kitchenware, beauty care, veggies and many other household items. Staff are very very friendly and helpful, they have many billing counters so it’s real quick at checkout. Customer service desk staff are also very good and friendly, they make it easy for returns and exchanges.

Well to be honest? Shopping at this Target store was real good.But the prices? Were a little bit high.

Did a Return nice and easy with a receipt. Used self Check out there was an attendant assigned to keep the line moving made it so much easier. 😃

5 star ONLY because of Krystal. My experience at Target at the Valley Plaza was not good from the start but at the end was great. So walking up to the store there was trash everywhere, inside the store was a mess, clothes, shoes and all kinds of things thrown on the floor, trash in the carts, it was disgusting. I went in to order on line at the service desk and there was this associate named Dan, who seemed irritated, we werent greeted much less a smile, and showed no interest in helping me in other words like yes lets just hurry up and get this done. He was needed up at the registers so Krystal took over. Krystal totally turned my whole experience around. She was very patient, very helpful, her focus was only on my online ordering, I didnt feel rushed and she showed interest in making sure I was happy. Please acknowledge this employee she went above and beyond to make this customer whos experience from the beginning was very poor to leaving a happy customer.Thank you Krystal for a pleasant experience.

This Target location is very clean and well stocked, the customer service is great and I love the self checkout lines. Plus theres easy access to the Valley Plaza mall and the movie theater. Bonus, theres a Starbucks right as enter the store... so, Yay!

Worked at this location for a short time found another job so moved on to the next. But the staff are very customer friendly. Even now that I am just a customer I still get greeted kindly. Sometimes its a little messy but thats not the employees fault its at the mall and on the busy days such as holidays well customers make the mess that employees work hard to clean up after. I went in a few days ago to look for some work pants. I tried on at least 4 pairs and it was either too small or just uncomfortable jeans. So I go to the fitting room and the lady accuses me of stealing. If she would’ve been doing her job she would’ve seen me put the jeans on the table. Mind you I had my son with me, there’s a camera right on me, AND I work for Target. Not at that specific one but a different one in Bakersfield. I’ve always disliked this Target for the simple fact that the employees are rude.

This site is an hour away from me as I live in another town. I got there 2 minutes before close to get two things. they would not let me in even after I explained that I had driven an hour to be there and I only needed two things. they still had a couple minutes on the clock and didnt want to do their job. Dont post hours you cant keep!

This store is managed in the worst ways possible. The manager Melissa I believe this would be her name mocked my dear friend a professor last night based on hearsay. As a prosecutor of law I am taken a back as to how bad the treatment was. The manager was discriminatory and extremely condescending to my dear friend. When I listened to the conversation which was brought to my attention I wanted to find out whether the headquarters realize the damage these sub-par employees do the company`s bottom line.
