I love the merry go round antique mall they have such beautiful things there I bought a curio cabinet there it was solid oak such reasonable prices and the customer service was wonderful.

My daughter and granddaughter took me here and I loved it with very nice cashiers there and the atmosphere was great and great music 🎶 It was nice looking around and shopping 🛍

I used to love going to this antique shop because they have a decent selection sometimes but, I’ve notice they have began to run their store in a very ugly and unprofessional manner. From my understanding, they don’t “see color” but I witnessed the complete opposite. Some days ago, they repeatedly followed a woman around their store during her shopping. The caucasian man with the beard had the worst costumer service etiquette when it was brought to his attention & was very rude when this young lady tried to have a mature conversation. He yelled and created the biggest scene. White fragility at its finest. On the other hand, I’m glad their true colors are being shown because I will no longer b wasting my money here.

If youre going to Bakersfield for Antiques... your first stop would be across the street at the vintage Woolworths Store Front Antique Mall with an operating dining counter. But your second stop needs to be Merry Go Round Antique mall JUST across the street!This is respectable size as far as antique malls go... not too big, not too small, but it is filled with charm. One negative for me, which may be a positive to some is that this is only about half (if that) vintage antiques and has a lot of newer gifts mixed in. However, they have a lot of very cool items to see such as the vintage ticket booth that is right outside.But lets get to what makes this place a not-to-be-missed, must-see attraction! First off, it is built over a legit coal mine! We saw the sign this way to mine and thought it was a sign that was for sale until you go down the hall and see the elevator that goes down into the mine!!! Of course you cant go down there... but its amazing to see. Also there are some picture from when it was operational. And THATS NOT ALL!!! This place also used to be a vintage movie theater!!! And the projection room and the theater is STILL there! Sure you cant see a ton of it... but these things make this place a must seen for sure when you visit Bakersfield.I wanted to ask the owners more about these places, but my son needed a diaper change and we had to split in a hurry. Make sure you check this place out!

Loved it, some many treasures! Ill have to go back again to take it all in, there are so many rooms, upstairs and downstairs, and the ladies working there were so helpful to hold our treasures until we were finished shopping.

Weird. Just totally weird.. Scary is better suited to describe the place. Doesnt have good or safe vibes. Not going again and dont suggest going if you are going alone.

Oh boy, another of my favorites. Bakersfield has outdone itself with antique stores. The basement is fabulous. An old theatre transformed into a shopping mall. Lots & lots of great stuff on all floors. Very well organized & the staff is great & the prices are reasonable.

This antique store has such wonderful things to enjoy looking at. I always look forward to seeing this place.

Super unique store! I spent about an hour in here with my friend because there was so much to see. And about the biggest surprise was the theater they have down in the basement that lets you travel back in time to the 1950s for a few minutes. Some items were pricey, but this store deserves five stars for the overall experience. Definitely will be back soon!

Ive stopped in several times and am always amazed by the used and antique book selection. There are many, many things besides books sold here, but I always seem to walk away with books. Every nook, cranny, and crevice is filled with all sorts of vintage and handmade goods. I have spent an hour or two just wandering and looking at everything.

This place scared the chorro outta me and i was choking on dust throughout my experience there and was hearing weird noises in the basement.

Unique but yet would have tastes for every individual. Associates friendly with smiles and gave us a brief overview of business. We will certainly return and purchase again.

Great store has awesome finding however felt very dissapointed. Items on display had tags NFS which i couldnt understand why display items on such a huge store not for sale.. dissapointed drove 3 hours an items i wanted were NFS .. so pretty much not a happy camper

2 stories of lots of fun stuff to look at. Garden stuff in the basement, general antiques on the ground floor, and a second floor area for antique cloths. Quite a large selection with fair prices.

Always a treasure hunt for things of the past here. Helpful and friendly staff. Bruce and Paul have done a great job bringing old things new again.

My mom always forced me to go and iy is supper cute. Everything in there is so amazing. Thus place is the reason we r broke. (My mom has a shopping addiction)

Bought a hat there and one of the male employees broke the netting that was in good condition when he put the hat in the bag. Noticed it when I got home and took it out from the bag...

Disappointing experience. I was holding a couple of pez despensers while looking around and a short woman with dark hair working there came up to me and asked if she could hold the items up front for me, arm outstretched, more of a demand than a question, so I let her take them. It seemed very unusual to me, like she was discriminating against me, because I didn’t witness her do this with any other customer and I personally can’t think of a time that someone working in a store has ever asked me that when it wasn’t a huge or breakable item; she didn’t make me feel like she was doing it to help me out with her demanding attitude and the way she glared at me. It made me uncomfortable and I ended up not even showing my husband the pez despensers because of it. And we didn’t buy what he wanted to buy for our son because I didn’t want to bring her negative vibes home with us. Good thing there are plenty of other antique stores downtown! Farewell Merry Go Round, get a friendlier attitude!
