Absolutely horrible customer service, no one makes you feel welcome. My boyfriend went in there jsut to grab a donut and he got harassed and embarrassed in front of the whole store for stealing when he was so obviously doing nothing of the sort. And then afterwards they had to audacity to tell him he was overreacting and getting too upset. Horrible horrible place, i would never go back and anyone visiting baker city i will be telling to avoid this store. No one deserves that treatment.

Sarah in the deli is one of the nicest people who works there. They need to hire some more help for the deli though.

Waited in line for 29 minutes. We were 3rd in line. This Cashier had no idea what she was doing. Sad for her. I left the line to speak to Mgr BRANDON he said sorry and walled off....Worst customer service...Clearly Mmgt doesnt care one way or the other!! Never again!!

No room in the store. Very long lines. But I always love shopping Safeway and Albertsons. Great product and supply. I was writing about Grants pass, Or Store. The Baker city store is a very nice store. And plenty of room. And people were very friendly.

The setting reminded me of Albertsons...It was a nice store..The cashier..I think his name was Tyler?...He was very nice and personable..Someone you want to see in a grocery store or somewhere people skills are needed..Very nice kid...

No masks, or masks worn on the chin, and even more fun trying to get management to enforce the mask mandate.

Very run-down place!

I was disappointed. I hadnt been in to the Safeway store since Albertsons open back up. It seemed dark and kind of dingy. They were very low on stock. I dont know if its because of the fires on the west side of the state or what but there seem to be vagrants sitting out in front of the store which I had never seen here in Baker before. I usually shop at Albertsons because of the wider Isles and more openness. There was way too many people so I went to Safeway because of less people be it in the store. I dont think I will do that again

You can pick up a case of Covid-19 at our local Safeway. Dirty carts, no hand sanitizer or disposable masks, and no enforcement of the mask mandate. Today, approximately 50% of shoppers were NOT wearing masks or were wearing them over their chin. Be careful, Safeway shoppers.

Always been my favorite store great produce great meat counter including fish of all kinds nice bakery & deli with pleasant employees& Starbucks !! Great all the way around...

Safeway is Safeway. Here in Baker city we havent had it as hard as other places but our Safeway has always tried to keep stocked the things we need. The people who work at our Safeway are nice, helpful and friendly.

This was a friendly clean store with fresh produce! The clerk was so helpful in getting me started with a discount card! What a warm welcome to Oregon!

Good grocery in Baker City

As a dude who travels a lot....i can honestly say that I love this place....the staff is very friendly ...it has a very nice selection of groceries....it has a Starbucks and it couldnt be located in a nicer town!

This Safeway is garbage. Worst grocery store in town. Really no need for it. Shop at Albertsons. Same company but way better.

Love the delicatessen, fresh meats and cheeses plus fresh baked hoagie rolls.

Had problems getting into the Safeway app. Taylor at customer service in Baker City Safeways fixed it for me. Now I can get the low prices on food there with The Just For You app. Thanks Taylor.

Im able to stock up on groceries before going up into the mountains whilst traveling through Baker City. With most of the population of Baker Country being in Baker City it can be quite challenging, even impossible, to resupply at other places. Thusly I enjoy being able to get stuff here.

Very clean store and helpful people that work there. Everyone was in masks while I was there and observing the 6ft rule.

Only one checker and a line. Not one employee spoke. I hardly ever go in that store. Albertsons is cleaner and friendlier. I know they are one in the same but there is a difference.

Fresh produce. Well organized aisles. Enough lanes open to keep wait times short.

There was a nice young men in the deli that helped me I forgot his name but he was very pleasant and very polite.. When I go back to the deli I want him to do my order. If he is there I will Brandon the manager that he is very polite and very helpful.

Everyone was very helpful. Store decorated for the holiday was a nice touch to the atmosphere.Deli clerk & register clerk were considerate and friendly. Starbucks staff gets an extra shout out, as they were informative and sweet.

Need an intercom or alert button on can and bottle machines. Ive yet to use them without one being out of order. And one or both of other two needing attention. (Full or Jamed)

Safeway, Baker City is the place to go for all your grocery lists. The checker I always find PEGGY SUE, she is courteous, friendly, & respectful. Adding to this is her smile. An example Peggy Sue would ask if we found everything we needed . This is what you call EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.. Thank you

Nice store. Better than Albertsons by far. Alan is very nice and helpful in the butcher shop. The ribs on the grill out front smelled delicious.

Good for cashing checks as long as has hand written signature on it. They switched up that rule after Id been cashing my payroll check from TLC there several times a week.

The dyed red hair girl I dealt with at checkout (she works around other parts of the store too) needs to learn some respect and how to talk to people, I was surprised how rude she was. Some people don’t care about there job at all, nobody wants to deal with you getting their groceries.

Good variety, good bakery, deli meat department... The staff is always friendly, and if you cant find what youre looking for, try the other Safeway(Albertsons) across the street.

Not as good and clean as it was when it was a real Safeway store. But it gets the job done

I havent shopped at Safeway for about a year, but thought Id give it another try. Same, grouchy lady waited on me. I wasnt sure it was the same one until she treated me just as rudely as I remember. I cant understand why this clerk, Norma, still has a job!? Waiting for me in my car, my neighbor agreed and knew exactly whom I was talking about. Ill be back to shop across the street where they are much friendlier.

I never said I dislike Safeway. I am completely discusted with the prices in grocery stores!

The staff try and over charge on your products and get an attitude when you bring it to their attention and make you feel as if your not wanted there terrible experiences when I go there I just go across the street to Albertsons. They do have a store policy that if they overcharge you then you get that item for free!!!

The staff shined here and made this store worth revisiting! Decent prices and product options. Not near the high traffic areas, but fairly easy to access.

Acts like to pharmacies completely lost you got one Person County the counter And I to go to the register to find out where the hot chocolate was Normally pretty good dont know whats going on Today Doing a good about it is The woman

Pretty decent if you can figure out how to use the app. Thats the only way youre going to save money. If not you can spend $250 for one cart full of groceries. :-)

Great variety at a reasonable price with awesome deals. Although they have a grumpy checker or two, the customer service desk and management is wonderful. Plus a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo.

Not bad for a 5.00 friday however only 2 checkers opened. 2 other people an my self had less then 6 items. We had a bit of a wait!

Generally a good selection of products, meats and produce to choose from of good quality. Problem is not always enough staff at the checkout stands and to much Gabby talk there.
