You can tell Landis really loves what he does. I came in because I had a problem with my input jack. When I left, I not only had a working guitar again, I also had more knowledge on how my guitar worked and how to fix small problems at home. This guy is very generous with his time and knowledge. I dont think Ill be going anywhere but here for guitar repair any time soon.

Highly recommended! :) My family needed a repair done on our Gretsch rather quickly and we were pleased with how genuine and polite Sam was. We are from Las Vegas so it was not only difficult to find someone new to trust but also reasonably priced and reliable. We recommended him to friends that are also moving to Austin, TX soon therefore we will come back to him anytime we need a repair done! Thank you so much, Sam!

Sam did a wonderful job working on my acoustic guitar. He was responsive, attentive, and his prices were more than reasonable for the excellent quality of his work. Ill definitely be taking my guitars to him again for any future work. A+ would recommend.

Support local business: My first teacher said, buy a cheaper guitar and take it to a luthier for a tune up. My Squier bass came from the factory with way too much action. Sam made it feel and sound like a true Fender. Check out the before and after...Delicious! It plays so much better. The before pic has the red thing in the background. Also, like the others said, its a quick turnaround, had the work done in one day.

I had Sam set up my acoustic and he did a great job and was very communicative about what he was doing. When it was done he even fine tuned it some more to my taste. Very happy with how the guitar plays now and with the experience of dealing with Sam, who is a first-rate good guy

Sam is super professional and has a great turnaround time. I came to him with a new guitar that needed a set up and where other local shops told me 3-5 days, he had it done within 24 hours. He is transparent in terms of work done and is happy to explain any details in laymans terms. Great convenient location on the east side too.

I called in to Landis Guitars looking for some help setting up an electric guitar. Sam had me come in to drop off my guitar that same day and I ended up getting a call a few hours later saying that it’s ready to go. I got it back playing buttery smooth, action and intonation were perfect. Sam came through when no other guitar repair in Austin could have provided service that promptly.

I had a great experience with Sam at Landis Guitars! I came to him requesting a customization for my guitar that seemed impossible without ordering custom parts. Much to my delight, he quickly came up with a creative solution and was able to turn the guitar around within 24 hours. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Had a fantastic experience with Sam at Landis! Not only did he immediately know what the problem was with my guitar, he went above and beyond to fix it at a great rate and walked me through the entire process so I knew what was going on. Sam is a great guy to go for me as a beginner guitarist because he made me feel welcome and was very open about his process, which is the opposite of how I feel in a lot of guitar shops. Highly recommended!

Excellent service. I recently took in two guitars to get set up the turn around was awesome, and they are sounding and playing better than ever. I strongly suggest anyone needing a luthier head over to Landis - probably the best in Austin.

Have taken a number of guitars to Sam at Landis over the last year or so - its a pleasure working with him every time. Hes super knowledgeable about guitar repair work and guitars in general (no surprise, as he worked at Collings guitars for years). Most recently, I had a poorly treated old Yamaha acoustic (one of their Martin copies from the 60s) overhauled by Sam and his work was top notch -- really brought that guitar back to life and its been a joy to play. Very reasonable rates and a good dude!
