After being given a defective accordion, Mr Fry fixed it all. Great work on fixing the reed box, and my reeds. He turned my old broke accordion into sounding like it was brand new. The man knows his stuff. And I can only recommend him for all my accordion needs.

I have had a broke reed replaced and tuned on a diatonic accordion by Mr. Fry and been to his shop a couple of times and bought small parts from him. I am very satisfied with his work and do recommend his services as an accordion specialist. Thank you Ruchard.

Richard replaced reeds on my Hohner Corona II accordion. The tuning was very good. They make the musette sound like with the new Corona. Also I got the shoulder traps for my Corona.

I brought Richard 2 of my Les Pauls as well as a newly acquired Mockingbird for service. He went above and beyond what I had asked him to do and expertly filed my frets, adjusted a very stubborn and precarious Les Paul truss rod amongst other things. They play wonderfully now. He installed active pickups in my Mockingbird and set it up how I like it. He had it finished when he said he would, kept the price right, and was very professional and personable the whole time. I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone and will return when any of my guitars are in need of work.

If youre looking for someone to work on those old style wooden Helikon Accordions, Richard does a pretty good job.

I really dont ever get into the nasty habit of writing a negative reviews online, but I feel as though it is my civic duty to share what I had experienced at AccordionWorks several years back. I had a guitar that needed to be fixed. The High E string would mute on frets 19, 20 & 21. I thought it may be the Truss Rod needed to be adjusted or perhaps the action had to be tweaked a bit. If Richard is the man playing the accordion in the picture, then Richard was the one who had looked at my guitar and came up with the estimate cost of $214 to repair my guitar after he examined it. He said he was going file or even shave down some of my frets, which I never heard of before. I really thought that quote was pretty high, but I had to trust him and take his word for it, because he is the professional repairman who should have a good moral compass and an ethical approach to daily business practices. Some may say that is a naive way of thinking. Unfortunately for him, I had the instinctual fortitude to gather a second option. I then took it to the Soulless Corporate Retail Giant Guitar Center to have a look at my muted fret issue. The Tech on duty looked at it for about 20 seconds, took out a micro screw driver and proceeded to lower my front humbucker which was the true reason why my E string was muting on certain frets. My guitar was completely fixed! The mute problem was solved in less than a minute. The Guitar Center Tech then told me, Free of Charge! What a drastic range in service from both Merchants

I have owned several guitars over the past 20 years and dealt with many different repair people. Richard gave me the worst (and most expensive) fret level job I have ever seen. The frets were uneven, unpolished and very rough, and there was buzzing all over that area. In addition to the fret work, he also damaged the finish on my guitar (custom Carvin) and did not bother to clean off the sticky residue left from the fret mask he used. He did give me my money back for the repair work. However, he refused to pay for the damage he caused to my guitar, and he did not respond to the BBB complaint.
