Sales guys are nice, usually have most things available, good quality of lumber usually. But you cant pick out your lumber, and on peak times they dont add extra loaders. Expect to wait 30-40 minutes to get loaded on peak times.

Eastside is a great old-fashioned lumber yard. They have good prices but you have to know what you want and order it at the desk. They have guys to pick it all up and bring it out to you. Friendly staff, good products.

These guys are fantastic. I feel bad for the poor man who had to decipher the siding I was trying to describe. After about 5 minutes he knew exactly what I needed. Every person, from the first man who took my call, to the sales man who checked me out, to the delivery men - were all friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I cant sing their praises high enough. Thanks gentlemen! You have a customer for life.

My friend was repairing her grandmothers Eastside 1920s home which has been in the family for so long its starting to desperately need lots of attention. I called for information and advice and was able to send a photo over for help with identifying lumber we needed. We went to visit the next day and was helped by SO many folks! They were professional, friendly, patient, supportive and educational to us! Inventory was available and competitively prices! We even asked them for insight on who could advise us onsite, and they were able to recommend multiple folks for us too. Eastside lumber was God-sent for me and my friend during the repair. Exceptional service. Had a very small order for an add-on to an existing patio . . . they were helpful, the price was right, and they acted like they cared even though my total order was only around $200.

I was looking for #1 pressure treated 6x6x16 posts. They had just what I needed and they only cost about $3 more than the #2 wood the big box stores sell.I visited them on a Thursday to pick out the pieces I wanted and asked if they could deliver them before the weekend. They said sure and they were at my house in far south Austin less than 90 minutes later.

The way they loaded the pallets of wood onto my trailer was nerve-racking to say the least. But everything was safely loaded and I will be enjoying a new deck shortly.

Decided to try them after all the good reviews on Yelp. Very disappointing experience. Went to their location and paid for 27 pieces of 6 x10 x 5/4 cedar deck boards. Cost was ~$20/board. While this is over 30% higher than Lowes, I was assured they were much better quality than Lowes so I paid it willingly.WRONG! 20 minutes later they brought the boards out to my truck and the first 4 that I unloaded were probably the worst examples of cedar deck boards I have seen. Warped, cracked, scuffed, etc. Went back to order deck and his response was something like I dont know what I can do man. This is what we sell. Got a refund and went to Lowes where I bought much better boards for WAY less. Yes, its a pain to sort through them in the store to find the best boards, but at least you get to pick the best boards AND you save big $$.Not saying Eastside is bad, but for the average consumer looking for smaller quantities of cedar deck boards, I wouldnt waste my time. You pay much less and can get the same or better quality at Lowes.

We got some 8x8 cedar posts, all of which appeared to have mold growing on them. We tried to clean it off with oxyclean, but now just some discolored spots all over. Also, one of the posts had a large split running longitudinally through the post.
