Took my small boat in for maintenance and a repair. Was able to drop it off on a Saturday and pick it up the next weekend. (This is a huge convenience for me). They even cleaned the hell out of my boat without me even asking them to. Havent got a chance to test it out yet, but as a business owner I can appreciate the quality of the service they provided!
My family recently purchased a Bennington pontoon boat from Kenneth Black at South Austin Marine, and I wanted to express that we had an amazing experience! Kenneth’s expertise in boats in general, and the Bennington line of pontoon boats specifically made for a smooth, honest, and transparent process. When our boat arrived, Kenneth delivered it to our marina, and spent several hours going over the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. In addition, his entire staff offers the type of second-mile service that my family appreciates. I highly recommend Kenneth and his team of professionals at South Austin Marine for your boating needs!Ken MasseyOwner/OperatorChick-fil-A South MoPacChick-fil-A I-35/Ben White Blvd.
What an incredible experience. All the teams at South Austin Marine were there at every step along the way. From the start of the build, answering any questions about the details of order and functionality, deliver dates, demo of new boat and availability post sale. Thanks to Kenneth Black, Melanie, Mike and the entire family, you all are the best!
Walked in after seeing a boat online. Met with Mike in sales and had the absolute best experience buying a vehicle I have ever had. He had gone above and beyond every step of the way. He had things fixed on the boat the dealership had no responsibility for, as well as helping set us up finding aftermarket parts we wanted and towables. He always responded immediately and followed up on our parts orders to make sure we were covered. Can not recommend this place, and Mike specifically, enough. 6 stars.
Couldnt be more pleased with the entire experience with South Austin Marine and especially Kenneth. I arrived on the Monday before Labor day with expectations I wouldnt be able to get a boat before the long weekend. I was greeted by Kenneth and we discussed what I intended to use the boat for. I use to have an older Sea Ray and enjoyed the boat but was looking for something with a little more power and a better ride on the choppy waters of Lake Travis. His expertise guided me towards a Bennington pontoon because it could accomplish everything I was looking to do; tube, relax, kneeboard, cruise, and ride soft on the rough Lake Travis water. We agreed on a price and he informed me I could pick the boat up on Wednesday two days later for the weekend. WOW was I pleased to be able to enjoy the weekend with the family and years to come. I had visited many other dealerships and found the experience of the salesman wasnt anything like what South Austin Marine had to offer. I am now a firm believer that the Bennington pontoons are the Cadilac of the waters. Thanks again to Kenneth and the entire SAM team!!
A phenomenal buying experience. From our salesperson, to finance, and even all the other people who helped us make this purchase, no pressure, lots of patience (even with us having the kids along). Very accomodating with our goofy schedule for when we were able to come in and look at the boats, and even the need to come in for paperwork on short notice due to other plans we had. They took time to walk us through the options available, helping us compare the 2 we had zeroed in on, and ultimately make what we felt was the best choice for our use case/needs.11/10 would recommend.
WELL!!!What can I say about this AMAZING boat dealership in beautiful Austin,Texas??Let’s start by saying I don’t think I have enough superlatives to use probably about Ken Black and his incredible staff.I flew in from California TWICE to see the new 2021 378SE I wanted. Both times they were so warm and welcoming. They took me and boat out on Lake Travis both times.Any time I text or emailed questions to Ken or Melanie they were always promptly returned.Abel was also great in showing us various features on the boat. Their tech Jeff also was outstanding and quick to answer my questions.I would up financing with them as well! Was going to do on my own and it would have taken weeks longer, but Melanie suggested going thru them to save money and time! You didn’t have to ask me twice!Loan process and funding took only a couple days! JUST WOWWW!Lastly, their Trucker SIMON that brought my new boat to California was beyond OUTSTANDING.Kept me posted throughout his 2 day trip. Sending me pictures of boat, telling me where he was, etc. BUT, this was the unbelievable part….his truck broke down 400 miles after leaving Austin. So what does he do?? He goes and buys a different truck just to complete the job!!He said “you were depending on me to deliver it today. I couldn’t let you down” I was speechless. In closing, if you don’t give Ken and his TEAM the opportunity to earn your business on any product they offer, you are doing your a MAJOR disservice.I am very grateful and will most definitely do business with them again!!
Had a great experience at South Austin Marine. Destin Miller gave first class service. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the boats and services. Im excited about my purchase and would highly recommend working with Destin to find the perfect boat for you at SAM.
My worst nightmare is dealing with South Austin Marine. I purchased A BRAND NEW BOAT in May 2021. In August 2021, it sunk due to a small leak in a welding seam. Unfortunately, I was required to work with South Austin Marine for the repair. I knew it was going to be a horrible experience (because the buying experience was BAD). At this point, theyve had the boat for 9 days and I havent received any updates. When I call, they have no idea whats going on. Im still paying hella for a boat slip on Lake Travis (even though I have no boat...even though there has been no communication to tell me the repair time frame....even though I was sold a very expensive defective product).
My husband and I were out of state buyers. We worked with Joey on the purchase of our pontoon boat and had an amazing experience! He answered the phone right away, put the boat on hold for us and we made arrangements to drive out in just a few days. He had the boat cleaned and everything ready for us when we got there, including the payment arrangements. This helped us save time getting back on the road but we didn’t skimp on testing out the boat, which was just as expected and advertised. Melanie helped us get a quote for boat insurance in just a couple hours and was very cheerful and professional. Joey took us out onto the lake and showed us the boat in detail. He is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and very professional as well. The whole process was super seamless and stress free. He even had some great recommendations when we hit a snag with our hotel. Wonderful friendly, well run business- Would highly recommend!!
I bought my new Regal 2100 from Collin last year and he was awesome to work with! As a new boat owner I was really depending on someone to guide me through the buying process and he did just that. The rest of the staff has been great as well. Even the folks in the service department! Highly recommended for boat purchases and servicing!
They made buying a boat super easy! As it should be :) The entire process was very smooth and everyone was extremely nice. Brian helped so much with the delivery and the orientation. I really appreciated that he went above and beyond.
The parts guys was the most arrogant and pretentious a hole. He also refused to give me the part number for the pump I needed even though they were out of stock on it and he wasn’t sure he could order it or give a timeline when they may get it in. This means they’re clearly not competitive on pricing as they know it can easily be found elsewhere much cheaper. Get your parts somewhere else and save $.
Brian Gardner and South Austin Marine are the BEST!! Brian made our buying experience so much FUN! My wife and kids enjoyed the walkthrough of our new boat on the lake with Brian. He taught the entire family about everything on the boat and was quick to answer any and all of our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BRIAN GARDNER AND SOUTH AUSTIN MARINE!!!!
Could not have had a more pleasant experience buying a boat. Kenneth and his staff feel like old friends. They were genuine and honest and steered us away from things they knew better about. What more could you ask from any kind of dealership? This will not be the last boat we buy from South Austin Marine! Now if only we didn’t have to write that check.....
Colin was excellent to work with. We received our Bennington two days ago. Colin spent all the time we wanted going over the boat, it’s operation and the relationship with South Austin Marine. We couldn’t be happier with, and highly recommend, Collin and South Austin Marine!!!!
I huge thanks to David and the service crew on getting my X3 tuned up and back on the water. The service team at SW Austin marine is top notch and went the extra mile on helping me out along the way. Dave is extremely knowledgeable, and I highly recommend him if you have any work that needs to be done on a Evinrude motor. The entire team from sales and service were fantastic. If your looking for service or in the market for a new boat, this is the place to do business at.
Very good selection! Very knowledgeable sales group. No pressure sales!
Very helpful, found the part that 3 other dealerships were too busy to look up
Customer service is outstanding great people I highly recommend using them
Bought a Monterey Surf recently. The experience was awesome and the entire family loves the boat.
Bought a new Regal 35 SC from Kenneth Black. He was easy to work with and made the transaction go smoothly. The real testimony to their customer service was helping me resolve some outstanding issues with the boat. He worked with me and the manufacturer to get the repairs done. Great service. Would absolutely recommend buying from them.
Recently purchased a Supra SA22 400 from Ashley. This was our first experience with South Austin Marine and it was great! Ashley knew the boat inside and out and spent 3+ hours on the lake showing us how to operate it. Granted, we haven’t had a boat in 20 years and things have really changed...especially on the wakeboard/surf boats. Much to learn but Ashley was very patient and answered all of our questions. I may have even called her after hours while still on the lake with my family. :) I highly recommend SAM and especially Ashley. She delivered as promised!
Good people, dont hesitate to have any service work done with these guys.
Always great service in the parts department. Always have what I need.
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Larry Rogala and the rest of the staff at SAM were more than accommodating and pleasant to work with. I drove 3 hours from Houston to see the boat I wanted to buy and it far exceeded my expectations. The boat was detailed, trailered and ready for me the moment I arrived. Such an easy and smooth transaction that Captain Larry provided, Thank you South Austin Marine.
Very nice place employees were great
Phenomenal team and buying experience!!! Brian Gardner and the team at both locations were great to work with. I purchased a boat this week and can not say enough great things about Brian, Kenneth, and Jeff from the North location along with the service department at the main location. Their team is accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, and able all “service” oriented. They are upfront and professional and appreciate people that still do business the right way!! Go see these guys for all water sport/boat needs, period!
From the moment I walked into south Austin marine they made buying our first boat a breeze. Cameron was super helpful from the start. He came out to deliver our boat on lake Travis and made sure we knew everything from lights to parking our boat! We are so grateful for him & the whole team! Would recommend this place any day!
Great place to buy a boat
These folks are great. Joey really gave us his full attention and wasnt pushy at all. The boat didnt work for our budget but they tried their best. Will definitely go back.
Avoid this place at all costsThe details:My normal service center was back logged and South Austin Marine said they could get it in quickly and they did.Same day diagnosis and parts ordered. A few days later I get a call ‘it’s running perfect come get it’(Replaced #5 injector and did a 300 hr service)Pick it up - greasy finger prints all over the motor - not very professional, but it was quick - I overlooked the poor workmanship.5 minutes after launching the boat I call them and tell them - it’s not right. I get yes it is it’s running perfect. I disagree numerous times and get told I am wrong.Call ends.I pull the engine cover and find 3 of the 6 spark plug wires not firmly pushed on the plug. It made no difference, but once again poor Workmanship!A few days go by and I have one of my regulars ask me what’s wrong with my boat, it’s not performing as usual.I call in a favor and have a friend of a friend come scan my motor. He finds #5 injector not working properly doing a drop test. Back to the shop it goes. After a day I get a call - it’s all fixed - it appears the mechanic didn’t tighten the injector bolt properly. I pick it up to find an oil spot on the decking immediately try to get that taken care of, still finger prints all over - mechanic tells he didn’t like me telling his manager that he does poor work - I leave.I get home and find when the motor was put back together the rubber grommets were pinched where the cooling water outlet is. I call back and get the service manager. He sends me an email stating he will come get the boat from my residence, fix it and return it ......... guess what nobody ever showed up so I will be taking the boat to another shop to have the poor workmanship corrected!Avoid this place like the plaguePaid over $1000 for horrible service!I have pictures/emails and invoices to prove all of this
Great Experience! Very quick in financing quicker than ever financing a car! Salesman was excellent explaining everything.
Very good first visit impression. Friendly, courteous, and professional attitude throughout our experience. I will recommend this establishment to anyone searching for marine based needs.C&R Sanchez
Best buying experience! Brian Gardner is amazing at customer service and understanding the client. The buying experience was awesome from reviewing the boat options in the sales process to Kenneth working with me on the trade and finance getting all the paperwork in place. There is no better place to buy a boat if you want great value and an outstanding customer service experience!
Brian and everyone at South Austin Marine were fantastic. The process was amazingly easy. Best part was the service. I bought the boat over the phone on Thursday - they had it ready for me on Saturday morning after just re-opening from Covid shut down. Thanks to the entire team for making it happen.
Awesome service. Johnathon was superb in his knowledge of boats. We were so impressed. Greg was also very nice and explained the services they provide for free and what charges were that are not included in the monthly plan. It was reasonable and affordable. He will be hearing from us soon.
There wuz no customers at the store only me and my wife and no one could help us out sad customer service
Dan in service provides the best customer support. Always kept me up to date.
Joey and Melanie were awesome! My wife and I bought our first boat last week. The team was patient with us and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend this location!
Caroline C. was a delight to work with at the Wakeshop. She was quick to respond to a voicemail (within minutes), wasted no time finding the right wake surf equipment for me, and provided extremely friendly customer service. I would recommend anyone call Caroline for quick/reliable answers to your boat-sport-needs.
We are super happy with our new Moomba Max! Cameron helped walk us through the sales process and get us out on the water. He dialed the boat in during our first few hours and we have had a solid wake to ride ever since.
I was in a bind, about to travel, and knew my board bag wouldn’t survive another flight. Caroline, in the pro shop at South Austin Marine, literally saved the day! She set me up with a new board bag from slingshot which has been my trusty travel steed ever since! Caroline’s product knowledge is mind blowing and she has always been more than willing and helpful to make sure my questions are answered and the products I’m buying are right for me! I would send anyone and everyone to South Austin Marine for all their boating and water fun needs! Thanks as always Caroline and the whole crew!
Was going in to get some Bimini top brackets because mine broke...well while exiting the hwy I notice my boat trailer tire smoking and I limped it into the south Austin marine and was like well I’m done there goes the boating day..I asked the guys if they sold hubs and bearings and they had mine in stock well Turns out the Spindle was damage to but the guys helped me sand it down and get burrs off the spindle so the bearing would slide on..I was not expecting all the help so big shout out to the guys there. Especially the parts guy Dwayne. Oh and still made it to the lake for a fun day
Had a great experience with Joey and Melanie at South Austin Marine. Bought our first bass boat. Very knowledgeable and an easy transaction.
The people over there at South Austin Marine are some of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever dealt with. Able and eager to provide power sport service and sales of watercraft.Youll be lucky to hire them.Keep smiling...
Made an appointment to look at purchasing a boat and after driving 3 hours, salesman was a no show. No call to apologize or offer an explanation...nothing! Not a way to conduct business.
This place has a lot to offer the boater. They have the goods to meet people that fish, ski, or just play on the water. The prices were within reason, some better than online. I really liked the staff I met. They were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about what I really needed for my boat. Also a lot of eye candy for boaters.
This was my first time purchasing a Boat out of state. Being in California while the boat I wanted was in Austin Texas was originallyuncomfortable at best, however working with South Austn Marine and partnering with Kennith Black was an extreme pleasure. When spending hard earned money, trust, honestly and Customer Service is critical. Feeling good about your sizable purchase, and comfortable with the entire process, from my questions, to returning calls, to follow-up, to financing questions. Both Kenneth and Melanie both were thier. Customer service, follow-up, yes honesty and feeling good about purchasing from store in Texas, from my home in California is exactly what happened. And it happend right through the delivery to my boats new marina home. Thank you for keeping my faith in purchasing a boat, not just from someone up the street, but from across the country.
Got 2020 Supra SA400 from Brian in Lakeway. Love this boat so much. Glad I went to South Austin Marine.
These are the most pleasant people to work with. Caring, respectful and understanding. I highly recommend!
Just picked up a new boat from These guysGreat Customer service professional all the way highly recommended
Dwayne is your man in parts.. place is always clean and helpful every time I go in ..
My husband and I went into South Austin Marine on Saturday, July 11th determined to find a boat. We met Michael Pempsell, who showed us all of their boats. We found a 2015 Byrant Spreranza that we loved. We started the buying process that day.On Monday, July 13th, I met with Michael to finalize buyers agreement and give him our $500 deposit. Michael said he would contact me later that day with a time to do a test drive and familiarize us with the boat.I reached out on Tuesday, July 14th, as I had not yet heard from Michael. He responded saying We had a mix up on deposits on this particular boat, Im in the process of getting to the bottom of it and was going to relay back to you after. We never heard from Michael again. On August 1st, I reached out to the CFO, Wayne Black, to tell him about our experience and to help mend the relationship before I left a 1-star review. It has been over 48 hours with zero response. While our initial experience with South Austin Marine started off well, it has ended most poorly. To have a boat (I put a deposit on) be sold out from under me, is one thing. But to have the company provide zero communication, essentially stonewalling me, is appalling and infuriating. While I will not be doing any business with them, hopefully this will allow the staff at South Austin Marine to learn a valuable lesson - communication, even when delivering bad news, is important. The total silence reveals a lack of integrity that I will never support.
Larry over at South Austin was so knowledgeable he made my experience very easy and stress free. He even spent half of the day with me on the lake to make sure I was confident and secure about my purchase. I love my boat thanks again Larry.
I have been going here for a few years to get parts for my outboard as well as some miscellaneous items for the boat, and the guys here have been great to deal with. Very helpful whether I have called on phone or dropped by in person. Any parts not in stock have always arrived very quickly. And the biggest thing for me is that I like to ask questions, and they have always had time to explain and go over anything with me. If I ever need any work done on the boat, engine, I will definitely bring it here for how honest they have been. Its a hard thing to come by these days with boat dealers in my experience.
Paid $350 for a starter that only lasted 2 days & then snapped. Contacted the parts department about a replacement and they told me it would have to be sent back to Mercury so Mercury could examine it before they would give me a replacement. Dont sell a part if you are not willing to stand behind it! The parts department was awesome but the policy from South Austin marine is horrible. I will never buy anything from this store again if they wont even stand behind the products they sell.
I would give them Neg 10 stars if it were a choice. These guys are crooks and liars. Greg in service will lie to your face and then blame it on you. Was quoted $900 for service work and then charged $1500. Then when I discovered that they failed to reinstall my engine cover I was told by Darrell the service manager that I couldnt prove it was ever on the boat. Gave them a chance to make it right and they blew it. Update. I got fired as a customer after I posted the negative review. After using the boat for two hours the cable connecting to the transmission came loose because a cotter pin was left off by what the service manager assured me was his best tech. Lol I believe it because they all suck. $227 dollars later Ski and Sail took care of me washed the boat and checked all the work done by South Austin Marine. I would highly recommend Ski and Sail / Marine Max Stay clear South Austin marine lots of other choices in the Austin area.
They took very good care of me at a very reasonable price. And got it back to me before it was promised. Great group of people. Thanks again
Great people! Great help! Made me feel so comfortable!
I had a wonderful purchasing experience with South Austin Marine, so much so I’m soon heading that way to get a second!
Brought in boat for repair. Was making some bad noises when put in gear. Greg asked if I had reservation and I said No. he said they had 8 boats brought in that morning and 7 boats the day before. He still took in my boat and said they’d get to it later in week. 4 hrs after I left he called and said boat was ready for pick up. It only needed small adjustment and nothing major. Also had them replace impeller on water pump. All done and complete for $350. Thanks SAM for a job well done. I’m back on the water fishing.
I had been interested in acquiring a pontoon boat for some time; but, did not really know what I wanted. Larry Rogala did a great job educating me about various pontoon options and spending time on the water test driving several boats. I am happy to report that South Austin Marine made me an offer that I could not refuse and I can’t wait to get my new boat out on the water!
Great expertise! Helpful sales team.
We purchased our boat from Brian Gardner in June 2018. If you are looking for a new boat, ask for Brian! He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for his clients. We called him during the floods in October 2018 and he was able to get our boat out for us just as they were opening the 4 floodgates. We live right near Mansfield Dam on Lake Austin near the low water crossing. Our boat dock flooded and he saved our boat! When we are ready to upgrade, we will go straight to Brian.
Very friendly and helpful.
I always enjoy the professional hospitality. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend you visit them for your next boating needs.
Larry Rogala is a awesome boat sales guy. There was no high pressure sales tack ticks just detailed information about the boats. I bought a new Moomba Helix took 30 to 45 minutes going threw the boat foot by foot. After I purchased the boat he took me and my new boat to a area lake and walked me threw the whole process from Trailer, Wake Surf Systems, Ballast, Surf Setup, Safety, Driving, and much more. I have been on the water for 40 years but that 2 hours sure made it easy the first time out with the family! Thanks Larry
I had a great experience at South Austin Marine purchasing a new Formula. Highly recommend.
Great place, we store our boat there, very secure, and the staff is exceptional in helping and taking care of maintenance on your boat.
Such a terrible sales department. They dropped the ball constantly and I will take my business elsewhere.
It wasnt cheap but it also was quick and done right, unlike other smaller outfits around town.
Dan, in parts, was a great help. Very patient and friendly.
Buying a boat, have questions?? Larry has all of the answers! We like to call Larry our boat genie he makes boat magic happen... when we could not find what we wanted within our price range, he made some moves and made it happen! Your boat wish is Larrys command.
I purchased a new Supra launch 21V from Brian Gardner at South Austin Marine and had the best experience. Brian goes out of his way to show you the features of the boat not only in the store but on the lake. Brian focuses on the customer relations by understanding their wants and needs, while providing excellent customer service. If you are going to buy a boat in or around Austin call Brian Gardner at South Austin Marine he is truly an exceptional salesman.
These guys re very competent, the issue is the price gouging. The markup is out of this world ridiculous. The worst issue however, is the fact you can call parts and service any time of any day and you wil never get an answer. Leave a message and they will never call back. Good luck, make the drive to Waco.
Always very helpful. The parts department is great.
We were in the store on Saturday July 15, 2016, walk around, no customer relations.POOR rating for customer approach or relations, maybe no one wanted to sell a boat.We walk around the two building for 40 minutes, not one of three persons sitting at desk approach us.We did get a great smile from the back corner office from a nice lady.Customer relationship poor,To bad I thought we could bring a boat home to south Texas, but it did not happen.
Top of the line service all around. I rented a house on Lake Austin for the weekend and had to do a last minute repair on my boat but couldnt get the drive shaft to align and get the outdrive back on. I had a bunch of friends coming up that day to go out on the lake so I was in panic mode trying to get everything fixed but the drive just wouldnt seem to go on. Needless to say, John & Charlie were phenomenal to work with and fixed me right up in no time. Charlie (the mechanic) even let me watch him work on my boat and helped explain everything to me so I could do it myself next time. Definitely recommend working with these guys if youre in need of a boat or repairs in Austin!
Ive been fighting a sick outboard on my workboat. Not my toy, this is my livelihood! I came in for some fuel filters and brought my injectors with me to ask some questions about them. Mechanic David Beliveau happened to overhear my conversation with Gregg at the parts counter and told me to bring my injectors over to the shop for cleaning. He got right on it and even shared some iced tea and watermelon with me while showing me how the injector cleaning machine worked as he got them all fixed up. I went home and completed my shade tree mechanics and was back to work on beautiful Lake Travis with my boat running great! A small amount of money well spent! Thanks Dave and everyone else that helped me. You guys got me back to work. Thanks again,Your newest customer,Jeff Sheffield
Super positive and professional parts staff
Dwyane and Mike in the parrs department will find what you need!
Great people. Did not try to sell me something that I did not need. Just educated me on what I wanted to know.
The service department has had our pontoon for almost 2 months now. I Ive had them tell me different information almost every time I call and their communication is terrible. They have definitely lost the trust of this customer and I would gladly drive my boat 2 hours some place else to have it serviced or wherever the closest Bennington approved boat shop is.
Saved by the parts dept......needed a tilt/trim wiring harness with relays for a 21 yr old Mercury...in and out in 15 min...left with relays in hand and harness ordered. Kudos to Duane in the parts dept...
I have been coming to this place for 13 years and have been very satisfied with the service. Today I went in to purchase a brand new motor because mine was previously stolen and the person helping me refuse to give me a price and started being very rude. I have gone quotes from two other stores but wanted to give this one the business because I am familiar with it and dont understand the need for rudeness. I will no longer be bringing my boat here nor recommended store.
We just purchased our second boat from South Austin Marine & enjoyed another great experience. The last boat we bought was in 1996. Kenneth Black is a great guy to work with. No BS from this dealer. They do exactly what they promise ! They even give you a walk thru before you sign.I cannot say enough about how all the folks there make you feel at home.THIS IS A GREAT DEALER !!Richard & Sherri Floores
Awesome very friendly and super helpful 100%
True American Business!! Highly recommend this place!
Rude and disrespectful told to call the people that made the boat not impressed nor my Wealthy friend
Worse experience Ive ever had buying a boat. It took over two weeks to finalize the purchase, their excuse was we are so busy. After I secured funds for the boat and ready to wire funds they told me they sold the boat to someone else...what? Another buyer stepped in and offered more money, I was told by the salesman $1500. Over my $86,000. Wow, they really needed that to be so unethical. Dont they have any intrigity? The manager Kenneths excuse was I was dealing with a new salesman Cody and he didnt know what was going on? What? Kenneth said it happens sometimes, two buyers buying the same boat. OMG, after going through two weeks of emails back and forth. I absolutely hate the way I was treated. Beware, they intentionally hide information until the day before your final purchase. I received several cracks in the Fiberglass, they told me easy fix for $2500-$3500. I still trusted them and accepted it anyway. This was a long distance purchase so again your trusting what they tell you. I hope the buyer of their boat is happy with the purchase but I extremely think they wont be.
Brian Gardner has provided an excellent experience @ South Austin Marine. I purchased a new Moomba Craz from him a few months ago. He has gone above and beyond to get my boat delivered and to show me how to get the most out of it. Brian has made himself available to answer my questions and help me through any issues. He has made this a great experience. Thanks Brian!!!
Service department sucks and i will never try to use again. Boat was in the shop for a month to fix 3 exhaust bolts and after one trip boat started acting up again. I called the service department and asked about getting the mobile mechanic out due to the fact I have 8 hours into taking boat into shop and they told me it was going to be another month before that was available for a repair that took less than one hour. Service department was rude and a Joke. Remember its the service after the sale that counts.
The employees and service are Awesome
On May 11, 2018, called to get service on my boat, needing to have a bilge pump changed. I had heard bad things about South Austin Marine, but thought that no one could be that bad...I was elerong! The jerk I talked to in service was extremely rude, talking to me like I was an idiot. He refused to give me any information when I asked for a cost and time allotted to do it. He was abrupt and demeaning, talking to me like I am stupid.Needless to say, I drove 30 mikes to another dealer to get my bilge pump fixed. I’ll never go back to South Austin Marine...for any reason.
