HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Purchased my 2022 AR250. Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable, and such a smooth process. John was very transparent during the waitlist process, did a thorough walk through with us upon delivery and has made himself available during our journey with our new boat. Kevin was very professional and got our financing done like a breeze. Mason helped us with all of our watersports questions, him and John both got us setup for Wakesurfing, and even explained the basics on setup, settings, and basic how-to, can definitely tell they are experts in their jobs. Thank you all for such a great experience.
I have bought a few boats from the ski dock. Always a great place to do business with. Whether, I’m buying a surfboard, boat parts or a boat they are always Texas friendly. I recommend giving this place a shot. They are super low pressure as well, which is nice.
Giving 2 stars since they actually exist. Other than that it’s next to impossible to do business with them.No one returns your calls. No one returns your emails. No one returns your inquiries via Yamaha. May try sending a letter to see if they’ll respond to that. Save yourself the time and take your business elsewhere
These guys were awesome and helpful. Was looking at a onewheel because I am impatient and wanted to shred like yesterday. Talked to them on the phone and were super helpful and visited the store later that afternoon. Got me all sorted out with great customer service!
Been having the same Yamaha dealer in the San Antonio area do my yearly PM services - they are also who I bought my 08 AR230HO new from. Due to several years of their lack of thoroughness and overcharging me for their PM services, I decided to look elsewhere this year. After researching for another authorized Yamaha Power Boat service provider within a couple of hours from me, I came across Ski Dock. From my first call to them late last year to my interactions with Winston and Charlie over the past couple of weeks - I cant be more happy with the service and fair price I was charged for this years PM and a few minor repairs.Bottom line, its worth my time and the drive from the South East side of Bexar county to Ski Dock in N.W. Austin.I dont mind paying a fair price for a job well done and on time. I know the importance, especially during these times of the Covid-19 pandemic, of paying folks a fair price for their services. However, you mix-n the great customer service along with the fair price...I dont mind driving almost 2 hours to have Ski Dock service my boat.I will be coming back to Ski Dock going forward. . .and even buying my next Yamaha jet boat from them as well.Have fun and safe boating!
Had an older model waverunner that had an oil pressure warning issue and wouldnt run. I was prepared for the worst. While it took some time for them to get to it (over a month), they did me right. Turned out to be a minor problem which they fixed. Charlie in service is the bomb! Kept me informed the whole way.
Bought a new boat from here at the beginning of summer and through the buying process everything was great. What they failed to mention is that the boats required maintenance would be done by the most professionally embarrassing department Ive ever dealt with. The service advisors seem to be nothing more than former salesman that that try and distract you from the present issues with a smile and an Im sorry but NEVER actually do what theyre supposed to. 1st incident was within 2wks of owning the boat it was required to have its first $400 maintenance but instead the technician decided to destroy my wake rack by flipping my racks out and allowing them to smash against the slip which inevitably snapped a welded joint right off. Instead of the technician notifying me immediately they cleaned up the mess and took the broken rack piece to the shop so we couldnt inspect it for ourselves and had the office call to notify me. Gets even better. For 3-4wks I had to battle the service team to even come up with a plan to get this fixed but to no avail. Eventually I talked to own of the owners and it was finally fixed about 6-8wks after the incident. Mind you I had a wrecked boat for roughly 75% of the first 3mos I owned it. They offered zero compensation zero genuine apologies and at the end of it made me feel as if I was the one who was putting them out and inconveniencing them. And just recently my next maintenance that was performed was a battle for 6wks as well. I was told it would be done 1-2 weeks after speaking and then got the run around for 4wks after that getting every lame excuse in the book as to why they continously drop the ball. Lastly spoke to the sevice manager and owner today but ultimately the result was the same and theyre not willing to fix the relationshipAt the end of the day i have been more than reasonable with them but their sheer lack of professionalism leaves me zero choice but to never do business with them again and for that reason I cant comfortably recommend an outfit that conducts business in this matter
We have had nothing but great service and attention from John prior to and after our boat purchase including anytime I pop in for equipment or accessories. Winston and Anthony have been extremely helpful so far for service for our boat as well. Always friendly and attentive and work completed as promised.
The people here are excellent. We had a few service issues, but they did a great job fixing things up and taking care of us.
Cannot recommend these folks enough. Their customer service is second to none, they work quickly and communicate extremely well. I’ll never get my boat serviced anywhere else. Thank you!
Amazing customer service! Had a tight budget, but they treated us like we bought the most expensive boat in the store. Steve and Sebastian went above and beyond for my family. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and customer focused. This is where you want to buy your boat!
So let me begin by saying that these people were nice enough and helpful in the sale of my boat. 2016 Tige RZX with 111 hours on it. I bought the boat on April 1st after taking it our for a test drive. Great boat! Brought it back up to Texoma where I have a covered slip. I am now at 113 hours and according to the mechanic, my engine is a total loss. What was thought to be a fuel pressure issue (error code 94 pressure higher than expected @ 112 hours) turned into water in my oil and a massive failure to the engine. The oil filter was removed to expose milky white oil and water in the filter. I called Ski Dock with the fuel pressure issue and made sure that this boat was made ready for the season. They stated Thats done before we test drive the boat Ski Dock did state that there was a transferable engine warranty from Indmar/Tige but according to Tige that was never done. It should have been done at purchase I emailed Ski Dock about this issue with no reply so I felt compelled to leave this review. Buyer beware, lesson learned, have an independent mechanic look at the boat for you. Dont assume that because you are buying from a dealer, they will be trustworthy about the condition of the boat. I have had RVs, Jet Skis and a Calabria Pro V so I am familiar with care and maintenance.
Great from the first phone call!! I own a Centurion and there’s only two dealerships in Texas. I called Winston and let him know I was driving in from Houston, no problem. “Hey Winston, I maybe Running late, no problem - we’ll be here when you get here. Had issues finding it as my GPS, called the store spoke Jennifer she was even great over the phone. Arrived at SkiDock greeted immediately by the porters and Winston. Got me in and out in minutes. Went inside, note it’s after 5, they’ve closed - the lights are off, but Sebastian, the ProShop Sales Director, turned the lights back on, and took 5-10 minutes to explain a couple boards I was looking for for one of my kids. Great first experience, the boats in for service and warranty - stay tuned for more details! Great experience...so glad ySkiDock is coming to Lake CONROE!!
Nothing worse than taking your boat to be serviced in April of 2017 and being charged $772.51 for an annual service and and impeller part replacement. Last summer we only used our boat for about 10 hours because I had just had a baby. This past weekend we took our boat out on the lake and it started to overheat so we immediately took it back to the shop. The shop called us today to say that our impeller needed to be replaced. The same part that they charged us $299.99 plus labor for needed to be replaced AGAIN!!?? It leaves me wondering if they even actually did the replacement last year or just charge just for the replacement. To make matters worse they already replaced our impeller yesterday with out verifying that we actually wanted to have the service done at their shop. So we are left to pay an additional $260 for the New impeller that they already replaced. Had they called and told us it was the impeller and they were not going to replace the part that theyve already replaced less than a year ago for free we would have taken our business elsewhere, why would I give my business to the same shop that Im having issues with a part they already replaced once before! My husband is once again waiting for a call back from the shop to see what they can do but at this point I am not confidant in this business or the service they provide to people. Ill update my review as soon as we get our boat back and take it to another shop to have a full inspection of what they did and Ill also update my review after our final conversation with the shop. Until then beware of this shop!! There are way to many boat service facilities around Austin to pick one like this!Update: my husbands final conversation with the shop is that they are taking $75 off our total bill for this service. I will say we couldnt get their fast enough to get our boat back. They are giving us back the broken impeller so we can take it to be inspected at another shop. And on a customer service note: my husbands only point of contact this time was Tommy and my husband said Tommy was easy to talk to, not one time did he provide bad customer service or was rude. He was trying to see what they could do to make it right (since they were not replacing for free) and to keep us as a customer.Overall, I would not/will not take back our boat for service at this shop, just because of the issue we had. If you plan to go here just beware, this is our experience and could be a total fluke or not, we will never know!Happy Boating and thankfully we have our boat back!!My final update. I have updated my 1 star review to a 3 star because Tommy did all he could to make a bad experience the best it could be with a broken boat.
John helped me buy my boat and was friendly and knowledgeable. I got a fair price and some great knowledge from the pro shop guys. They made sure I knew everything about my boat before I left and knew all the safety features. Will buy from them again.
Update June 2020: Im really disappointed to update this review however Ive reached a breaking point.Service time is at an all time slow. Boats been in the shop for over a month now on a simple transmission oil leak and power issue. power issue was something new and was apparently a quick fix. The transmission leak started after I brought the boat in for annual service in Feb. I brought it back shortly after the first service for oil leak and was told it was just a spill from the service. Clearly not as I had a huge puddle of oil shortly after taking out the boat again. Dropper her off again mid May and here we are. I call every few days and get a new run around on why service hasnt been completed yet, if I can even get service on the phone. its next in line were pulling it into the garage right now the mechanic working on it called out sick today- these are all actual responses Ive gotten from the service team. Now I find out my transmission has been pulled out and shipped off to Houston for repair. I was not notified of this happening and can only assume this will add weeks to my repair time(along with a hefty expense). Only one mechanic seems to be employed full time at the moment and this shop can not handle the demand at the moment. Truly disappointed by the sharp decline in service this shop used to provide. (see below for original review)This place is awesome when it comes to fast service, done right. If you already own a boat, you know the service will be expensive so I wont comment on that. However Winston, Tommy, Anthony and Chad are all awesome guys that are available to help and answer questions at all times. Ive been coming here for over 4 years and these guys take care of me and get the job done in a timely manner. Taking your boat into the shop is never fun but these guys make the best of it.
We purchased a new 2014 Yamaha AR240 - the price was right, they found the add on speakers and amp, seat cushions, dual batteries, and made us an awesome deal on our trade in!We had an incredible purchasing experience. The knowledge level of the staff, the atmosphere of you are part of the Ski Dock family and serious commitment to getting me the best deal was appreciated.Do not buy a boat without calling Chase or Thad at The Ski Dock first! I am genuinely impressed with the professionalism of everyone at this company.
1st time to this place getting 1st time maintenance to our new boat ! So far the service dept was very nice and helpful. Let you know in a week how service was!
I was having an amazing time with all the answers i need as a first time boat buyer. john was courteous and knowledgeable. but at some point when we went outside through the used ones a guy from inside named Sebastian came at the door and he was totally unprofessionaland rude about leaving the door open. the worse way ever to talk to a costumer. Nice job Sebastian you just lost a sale. Sorry John.
Poor service, took my deposit on Saturday and told me they could have a waverunner ready on Tuesday. I drove an hour and a half on Tuesday just for them to tell me they cant have it ready that day. Save you time for a dealer that honors your time.
This place is great. I was on vacation and needed a pair of water skis and found these guys. Great variety and a lot of top brands. Check them out.
This is the best dealership I have been to for either Marine or Auto. These guys have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their customers are taken care of. I may be in Dallas but when its time to upgrade im coming back to Ski Dock.
Excellent customer service. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Love the fact they carry doomswell boards.
They are great people to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, and it is not just about the sale they want happy customers.
Friendly knowledgeable staffGood boat selections
Steve and everyone at the ski dock is absolutely phenomenal. We just purchased a new 2018 Centurion ri237 totally customize, my family and I needed the boat built in time to go to our 2 Day family reunions on Lake Texoma. Steve and the crew at ski dock worked diligently with excellent communication to me and with the factory to make sure we had our boat in time for a family reunions, everything down to transportation to the finest details were managed with the utmost integrity and Superior customer service! From start to finish not a detail was left out and we are more than happy with our brand new Centurion. Going above and beyond to make our request happen in time seems like a logistical nightmare, but they made it happen! The friendly atmosphere at the ski dock and willingness to make your boating dreams come true is a far cry from what we experienced with their competition there is no comparison. Special thanks to Steve for making it happen, everyone else at ski dock and of course all the wonderful people at the Centurion Factory for making our timeline happen. My boat is absolutely beautiful, we drove the Malibu, Mastercraft, nautique, and of course the Centurion we drove the Centurion last because we never considered it as an option until we met Steve at the boat show. There is a reason Centurion is the national wakesurf and wakeboard official tow boat, once we drove the Centurion we knew this was the boat for us from performance to the fit and finish Superior to its competition in every aspect! -Skylur L.
The Ski Dock has always taken great care of me. I own a 2013 Tige Z3 that gets a TON of hours put on it each year. We are at 1440 hours currently. Not only does the boat run amazingly, but Thad, Winston, and Steve are a pleasure to work with. Its the best boat I have ever owned. The convex hull not only throws one of the best surf wakes out there, but it does it at a measly 3.5 gph (gallons per hour). I can go all day without stopping and still go home with gas in the tank! I would recommend Tige and the Ski Dock to anyone looking to buy a boat or have one serviced.
My husband went in wearing his work cloths (he owns a drywall company) The sales people didnt even greet him when my husband said hi due to the way he looked and when he walk out we could see them pointing at him talking. Well too bad the owner they just lost a $30,000 sale because thier costumer service sucked. Nicole June 20th,2017
Very friendly place! They sell new and used boats, plus have a service area. If you buy boats from them you get a nice discount at the pro shop as well. Its right by Lakeline so a little difficult to get your boat off the lot when you buy one.
These guys are great.
Parts department very helpful
If you want a new or used boat this is the place to go. They will take care of you.
Winston is the man for sales and service 😎
