Ive been here a few times now and had consistently great service. Most recently Sam cut my hair and did a great job. She asked questions along the way, was very attentive, and overall made the experience great. The staff and owners have curated a very nice and inviting environment. They also always have great music playing.

Ryan listened to what I wanted, looked at the pictures I brought, and gave me a haircut I love!! All while being very entertaining! I will definitely be back! I have received so many compliments on this cut!

I got a scalp Dermabraision here, and I can’t describe how pleasant it was! Pleasant people, high-quality work, calm, fun atmosphere, and just a lovely experience overall. It smelled and felt like a day spa, and I am definitely coming back.

Bishop’s was a very pleasant experience from the start. The lady working the front desk was very nice and offered me a water or beer while I waited a (very) short minute for my stylist. I had a haircut with Ryan and he did a great job with the cut. He made sure to ask me questions as he went to ensure he was doing what I was looking for. He was also incredibly nice and conversation was pleasant. Price wasn’t too bad for a quality barber and facility ($30). Will definitely not hesitate to come back.

Sam did an amazing job. I was in town before a wedding and needed a quick trim, so just stopped somewhere nearby. Sam was incredibly attentive, asked lots of specific questions about what I wanted with my hair cut - what length, shaping, layers, face framing. Her attention to detail was more than I have gotten from many other stylists in the past. She also had some extra time at the end, and was able to give me a round brush blow out on the house. Unfortunately, I dont live in Austin full time, or she would definitely be my go-to hairstylist!The owner was also very sweet and attentive. Overall, loved the atmosphere of the store and everyone there. I might even consider making road trips to Austin for hair cuts in the future!

Love this place! Run by good people who really care about their employees. 2 of my daughters have gotten cuts and one didcolor. Nat did the cut and style for one. Seth did a cut and color for the other. Bothstylists were excellent and Seth really went above and beyond on the color for my daughter that wanted her hair half white blonde. Since her hair is naturally red we were not sure how whiteish she was going to be able to go but it was awesome! I also really like that they do their pricing à la cart which lets you pick and choose so you aren’t spending money that you don’t want to spend. They absolutely will be back!

Its always a fun time at Bishops. They always treat you like an old friend and ALL the stylists do a bang up job! My whole family uses them!

Everyone on staff is personable and cheery. I had Seth and Seth was great! So friendly and efficient. He gave me a great cut and told me what he why he was cutting it the way he did which made me feel like I got even more than what I paid for. Treat yourself to a shampoo after the cut...you deserve it.

I’ve gone here three times, and third time wasnt the charm. To be clear, the other two times have been great. This third time, I wasn’t a fan of the person I who cut my hair. They took off 2 inches, which is fine, but it only took 10 minutes. Usually this kind of cut takes 20-30 minutes, since they wet my hair with a spray bottle, recenter my part, cut in sections, then blow dry and maybe some oil. It’s $40 for 50 minutes of a long woman’s cut. So I paid $4/minute for this stylist who didn’t do any of this. All they did was spread my hair out and cut in a circle, then had me stand up and evened it out with clippers. I pay the $40 because I know the stylists are doing techniques that are beyond what I’m able to do, and the end result looks great. But why am I paying $40 for someone to spend the majority of time using clippers? And then not to mention I waited 15 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I don’t think I’ll come back anytime soon, which is a shame, I really liked this place.

Absolutely adore this local shop for cuts, coloring and styling!! The owners are both fantastic people and there are many talented stylists Ive worked with there. I most recently received a fiery all over coloring done by Seth, which turned out perfect! Hes truly an artist and cares about his work. Sam did my last cut and did flawlessly. This entire team makes you feel right at home and fabulous!

I had not one but two lovely stylists (Sam and Ryan) at Bishops this evening. They both far exceeded my highest expectations. I had fun, and loved every minute of their excellent customer service. I will be coming back to them for all my hair needs in the future. They made my wildest dreams come true!! They are very LGBTQIA+ inclusive and a safe space for anyone who wants to be in a supportive environment for their style decisions.

I always get my hair dyed the same way every time but I’ve always been disappointed and had to dye my hair back to my original color. However, this was the FIRST time I actually liked my hair and didn’t dye it back. I love the owner Alisa, the workers, Sam and Yadira. They were the ones who took care of me. There were also other workers too and they were all extremely nice. I’ve been to many places and this is the place you have to go!

This place is very cool and clean on the inside. Usually I dread getting a haircut but this place made it very easy. Sam was great!! It was like she read my mind on what I wanted.

Yadira is very professional and knows her way around curly hair. There are many barbers who unfortunately do not have a ton of experience cutting long styles for curly haired men. The last time I went to a barber it took 4 of them to brainstorm the best way to section and cut my hair and I was there for well over an hour. At Bishops all I had to do was show Yadira a picture of my hair and she knew exactly what to do, and was very fast! Im so pleased with my haircut, I think Ive found my stylist for the next couple years.

Ive been to bishops about 8 times since theyve opened getting mine and my 3 kids haircuts. I have always been impressed with the experience of going there, but recently our experience with Nat and Seth kicked it up a notch. Nat did a great job with several of my kids, and Seth recently knocked it out of the park for me-probably the best haircut Ive had in a decade. Ill would definitely recommend them for you haircare needs

I had a fantastic experience at Bishops! The staff was welcoming and took COVID-19 precautions (requiring masks, temperature check, limiting the number of people in the store, and having us wash our hands after entering). The space was very clean and they had a great ambiance. I decided to get over ten inches of hair cut off for a new look and was so pleased with the outcome! My stylist looked at my reference photos and listened to my concerns and ideas for the cut (I have thick curly hair). I will be returning when I’m back in town!

First time using this place and I had a great experience! Being pregnant during a pandemic, I have been very wary about going to get my hair done. I decided to give it a try since I finally got vaccinated. I called up, had an appointment within 45 minutes, and was out in another 25! Called in to make a VERY last minute appointment with a lovely stylist whose name escapes me currently— not only was my call answered promptly and invitingly, I was able to make a same day appointment to get a pretty detailed haircut. I arrived (late) and was greeted by the same friendly individual I spoke with over the phone, promptly shown to a chair after a mandatory hand washing (COVID procedure, highly appreciated) and enjoyed a pleasant conversation while receiving a timely trim. I admit I was worried the haircut and style I needed done was not something I expected to get done before my shift that evening, but my $35 appointment was finished in about 35 minutes, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My stylist was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my questions about maintaining my new style and super patient with my lack of help in defining what I was looking for, and I want to say it was Oz? Anyway, loved the decor and the staff, highly recommended 👏🏽

I have been going to Bishops Buro for over a year. The hair salon is chill and has great music. They are super friendly and they always offer you a drink (beer, wine, great coffee…) The stylist are awesome! I have had my blonde hair color and roots done there, a Brazilian out and several haircuts. My favorite is Yadira… she is a great hairstylist and so warm.I would recommend it 100%!!

Ive been going to the same salon in Cedar Park for about 5 years now. I recently took a chance on this place because my salon had not yet reopened from the pandemic shut-down. The interior of this salon is pretty wild, somewhat different from that of my suburban soccer-mom hair shop :). However, let me assure you that the cut you get here will exceed your expectations. Ash did a fantastic job...literally the best cut Ive had in years. The layers, well, LAY just right, and Ash removed just the right amount of weight from my bangs, something that my other stylists at the posh place have often struggled with. I will definitely forgo the bells and whistles of my previous salon and return to Bishops Austin Buro. Thank you for a great experience!

I have always been a brunette and loved my hair, but this summer I really wanted something different. I have been wanting that cool ice-blonde hair for a while, but Ive seen so many of my friends get their hair fried or get that ugly brassy tone that ti do not like, that I was skeptical to try it out. I tried Bishops Buro because I read all the great reviews. I loved the place, the music and my stylist really listened to all my questions and asked a lot of questions too. After two sessions, I have the perfect baby blonde hair; love my haircut too and the price was super fair. This might be the best hair salon in Austin right now.

I made a reservation for a fade haircut on Friday evening (04/23/2021). The stylist was very friendly and gave great customer service, but unfortunately he was unsuccessful with the fade I requested. I even provided him with a picture of the fade I wanted so he would have a clear understanding on what I expected to be. After he said he was finished, I informed him how noticeable the line looked from the back, and asked him if he could fade it more. Unfortunately, he was not able to remove the line. I will not be returning here again.

So this may be a little cheesy, but I loooove the color of my sweet Rosies hair, so thats what I wanted plus a few shimmers of rose blonde. The stylist at Bishops Buro didnt laugh at my request. She was a super talented colorist and the results were excellent. I love this hair salon; its right on Burnet Road, has a super cool look and everybody is is really friendly. The price was great too.

I finished my third visit with Bishop’s and I’ll keep coming back. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Ash and Andrea have cut my hair and both did a fantastic job! I don’t think you can go wrong with picking anyone here to take care of your hair.They take necessary precautions as well during COVID. Temperature checks are performed upon entering followed by hand washing. The number of people they see are limited with ample spacing as well. Everyone wears a mask too.Thank you Bishops for taking care of my hair and for the safe and fun environment you foster!

Five stars for the ambiance and cleanliness of the place. My stylist and I were the only ones in the salon so that was a plus too. I went into Bishops with high expectations considering the extremely positive reviews. The stylist Ash was very sweet but I only went in for a trim to remove 6-months of dead ends and she did try without compromising on the length much, but once my hair dried, there were still a bunch of split ends, although my hair is pretty healthy in general. And also, the minimum default tip option on the card machine is 18%. I will be trying another place next time.

For much of the appointment we were the only people in the room, with another stylist joining at a distance for the last part. Overall I felt safe and got a great haircut!

Love that theyre making everyone wash their hands before the haircut and theyre cleaning the workstations before each cut. Definitely made me feel more secure about getting my hair cut during this pandemic. Prices were reasonable too. Will definitely come back.

Great experience! The salon is really spacious, open and nicely decorated, everyone is very friendly and professional. The haircut I got was really well done, and for a very affordable price. They are also great at keeping the place safe and clean for customers as well as observing all anti-covid guidelines (masks, social distancing, periodic cleaning and disinfecting, etc). This place was amazing! I had an appointment booked for the next day and they squeezed me in a day early! It was just me and the hairstylist there and she did an amazing job. I have long thick hair and wanted it above my shoulders. It was the first time my hair was actually thinner at the end of the cut. I am definitely going back!

We ended up at Bishops Buro because we couldn’t get an appointment and I heard from a friend that they had no wait and that they were being super careful with covid safety. They only see 2 clients at one time!The place is awesome! Great music, covered parking, everybody is super nice. Apparently they normally served beer, but not right now because of the masks...I had to do a color overhaul for my hair because I had used some supermarket stuff and Ashley made it look the best it’s ever looked! My husband got a great short cut... his stylist really took her time...I don’t think there’s a better and more reasonably priced hair salon in Austin!
