We loved everything about this shop! We even went twice on our trip! Its very unique and the staff are fantastic. Super friendly. Would most definitely return!!

Very very kind staff. So many things to look at and take in but overall a pleasant experience. I dont know what CD was playing in the store but i loved every track. Would definitely come back here

It was very strange to me how this store sells Hispanic art and things related to the culture, but every single person working there is white??? I mean its expected in Austin, but this store seemed worse than others. Not only was the staff not welcoming whatsoever, but I also overheard a white manager FIRING the ONLY brown worker there because she apparently wasnt a good fit and this REEKED of colorism to me. The situation was handled VERY unprofessionally, as that conversation should have been held in private and not so loudly that all customers on the floor could hear how badly this store doesnt want brown people working for them. My heart goes out to the girl who was disrespected and embarrassed like that. As for Mi Casa Gallery, I would never recommend this place to ANYONE.

Dont waste your time looking for Mi Casa. It is gone. Something called Prototype and a boot store in its place.

Amazing Hispanic artwork, pieces, bags, etc.. theres so many unique items and the guy at the counter was really cool. If you want a little bit of Austin and Hispanic culture this is the place to go.

Really enjoyed my time at Mi Casa Gallery. They have an eclectic mix of many items that can entertain you for sometime. Plenty of brilliant colors accent many of the items for sale. A great place to add to the home/apartment decor. I wish I had more space in my luggage as I would have walked away with many items.

Beautiful handmade Mexican and Latin American decor and artwork. Found some great pieces for moms bday - hand painted owl and wall cross, unique finds! Very happy to have found it online so I could stop by.

Great shop with beautiful items

This store has to have my most favorite eclectic mix of treasures Ive seen in some time. Beautiful authentic, old artwork, furniture, and collectibles from all over the world, but mainly Mexico and parts of Central America. The owner was super nice and has a great personal story. Such a fun place to walk through!

Best Austiny gift shop, especially if you talk with AJ.

Fun to browse, prices were midrange, customer service somewhat friendly; owner didnt remember us even though we made multiple purchases over a 3 day period.

Swanky little gift shop perfect for people visiting south congress

Nice little shop to stop through if youre shopping in the SoCo area. Street parking outside and theyre open odd hours, but its a cool place to check out. When we went the girl working at the counter was super helpful and friendly.

Beyond the usual chotchkes for millennials that a lot of the places on South Congress have, Mi Casa has a good selection of artisanal objects from Mexico, notably the famous Dia de los muertos objects from Oaxaca.At the same time, it also had some fantastic antique religious art, mostly from Mexico, but with some Russian pieces thrown in. And more.
