Super convenient hardware shop that usually has what I need.Customer service is ok, and sometimes stock is spotty. Its 50/50 if youll find someone to help you out in a timely manner.

Ace hardware on Galena is a great hardware store. The knowledge the workers have is greatly appreciated.

Much preferred over the big box stores. More personable. Always my go-to store. I recommend it.

Our Aurora Ace is THE PLACE when you need specialty, non-bulk stuff that the big box stores dont have and often arent knowledgeable about in even a general way. For fasteners, a superior selection of household LED bulbs, and other ACTUAL hardware, I dont even waste my time. I go straight to nearby Ace. Helpful, customer-focused associates and reasonable prices seal the deal.

What there to look for some weed control and my brother was looking for a grill. People we talked to were helpful and friendly. I like going to this Ace Hardware because its locally-owned.

Good to have an Ace Hardware with in a few minutes drive. Good friendly bunch of people working here. Be ready to get asked repeatedly if you need help. If they dont have it, it might be at the Lake St store. Nuts, bolts, plumbing, electrical, paint, bird house, gifts, you name it. They have it. Might see you there.

Normally helpful, and great. Today after waiting 5 minutes to get someone to make a key, thats after pressing the help button on the counter. When someone actually showed up he had to radio for help and was told to tell me to come back after 4pm. I wasnt not going to go back after 2 and half hour wait time for someone who knew how to make a key. Not likely to go back for anything. If they cant train their employees, whats the point.At least this time the grumpy old man wasnt there following me around like I was stealing.I purchased a piece of wood the charged me twice on and said I would be called in the morning. It never happened and Im out money but full of lies.

Had keys made for my car they got me in and out quickly and with a cheap price!

I go to sugar grove ace frequently and never had a problem. Staff is always helpful and has answered my questions whenever I need help. Never have to wait long to get what I need and back home.

Customer service exceeded expectations. Ordered a patio set over the phone at 11:20. It was scheduled for delivery 2 days later. But they were able to deliver earlier and was delivered within an hour of ordering.

Selection of tool bits for cordless hand tools is spotty at best. I have seen better outfitted Ace hardwares.

I love the place I bought a trimmer and a leaf blower then I got a gallon of paint they really helped me and very professional like the home town stores in remember

I am so happy to have this store in our neighborhood. It truly is a happy hardware store. Everyone is so friendly and always knows exactly where anything I need is located. Whether I have to buy galvanized nails, nuts and bolts, or a replacement cork for a piggy bank, etc., someone is always there to help me. Thank you for all your work in making a shopping trip to Ace an enjoyable experience.

I believe that this Ace has the worse customer service I have witnessed in many many years. I always have to ask for help, it is never offered. I am completely ignored. When I do ask for help, the staff acts as if I am bothering them. There have been several times in the last year that I have asked if they have an item and am told that they dont carry it. I have always ended up finding it on my own anyway. Today I intended on purchasing a drill and stood in the power tool section for twenty two minutes. Several employees walked past, looked at me and kept walking. I stood there so long because I was curious if anyone would actually help me. I ended up walking out without a drill. I purchased one at Home Depot, down the street, for less money. I will not be returning to this Ace Hardware ever again!

Nice place but lazy staff sometimes. I walked in and asked where I could find something and saw 3 people leaning on the counter in the back. One told me roughly where it was but none of them actually physically showed me while they were laughing and joking. They were not disrespectful or anything just could really have helped me out more. The Ace on Lake st is much better.

They have pretty much everything I need when I need it. What sets this place apart from big box stores is that the staff are helpful, knowledgeable and can give you great advice and suggestions if you need help

The staff was friendly and they had a wonderful sale for lawn care items. Dont forget about your local Ace Hardware stores we had them before those big box stores came into town. They were out of one item so I have to go back, but its ok. Ace you aced it.

Needs some cleaning. Salespeople didnt seem to want to be bothered. No worries; I shant return.

Paint lady Judie is terrible at her job, she sits in the paint section on her phone all day never bothers to ask anyone for help or even say hello. Definitely fire her.

Horrible customer service from the same older gentleman a few times. Dont know his name but he always gets mad when asked for help and never helps find anything.

AWESOME PLACE TO SHOP AND AWESOME PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE, TOM, DAVE AND A FEW OUTHERS THAT I CANT REMEMBER THERE NAMES, MAYBE NEXT TIME.

Great place, smaller inventory than some bigger hardware stores but a friendly environment for all.

Last time I will ever go to this store. Manager was very unprofessional when I asked for help. Prices are very high compared to Menards or Home Depot. They lost a customer at this store.

Great place to get what you need

Like most Ace hardware stores, they have a very large selection of hardware and home repair items. Normally the staff is very helpful, but on this Saturday afternoon that I visited most of the staff were preoccupied on their cell phones and idle conversation amongst themselves. I found what I needed and checked out. The next time I need something from Ace, Ill go to the store in Sugar Grove.

The man that cut my plexiglass doesn’t know about measurements I ask for 14 1/2” and he ended up cutting it 3/16” longer rather then expending time and gas to go back to the store I cut it myself
