Walked in, greeted at the door, asked what I was looking for, they pointed me in the proper direction, said if I need help they will be glad to help. Oozing with customer service. Awesome experience. Also, they had in stock what I needed.

Dont take anything in for repair..They coudlnt fix chain saw or Field trimmer.

Love our own local hardware! People are friendly and very helpful. Prices may not be as low as the big places, but not that much, especially considering the service and better range of items than the big guys.

Had brought in our houses old screen and frame in for new screens. We chose the solar screens. They did a Fantastic job! Even cleaned and straighten the warped frames.

I always go to Ace before I consider Home Depot. It’s always a quick trip, the staff are super friendly and actually want to help you, and they have plenty of things Home Depot does not have—especially specialty hardware.

Amazing how much a store with such a modest footprint actually carries. I regularly find items here that I cant get at Home Depot. If it does need to be ordered, its generally a very quick turnaround. Small town hardware store feel and people who excel at serving customers with a smile.

I practically live there. They are helpful without being condescending and have a lot of knowledge to share. And they stock things that are not always easy to find. Think toilet paper and hand sanitizer when it was unavailable elsewhere. I love Auburn Ace.

Wells stock stores with very friendly helpful people. I enjoy these stores because associates generally know where items are and are willing to lead you to them instead of pointing.... and being wrong.

Sorry to say, nice people but poor knowledge, always end up going to Home Depot. I try to support the smaller stores but with small inventory and lack of knowledge on products I think I’m done.

I used to love this place and I always try to support our local stores and services, but I had a bad experience today. I waited in a fairly long line to get two keys made, but when I got to the cashier, with a snarly attitude, he had me stand in front of the key making machine while he handled other people in the line. I thought this was a very poor decision. He could have called another cashier, plenty were available, and came over to make my keys. I waited in line just like everyone else, but when it came to my turn, I had to let others through that were behind me. Fortunately, after 2-3 minutes, another cashier saw me at the key making machine and came up to help. Im not sure if I will continue going to Ace Hardware or go to Home Depot. Not pleased with the service.

I had called everyone in town and they were all going to charge me a whole bunch of money to get my broken glass replaced. I called ace to see what they could do and they were very welcoming and told me to come on in. I dealt with mike in the glass cutting department and he was soo nice!! I was having such a hard time getting my window in the frame and he helped me, best ace Ive ever been too. Amazing customer service and more than fair pricing!! Highly recommend

I am very happy with our local ACE Hardware store! I have no idea what anyone else expects, but I have always had very friendly service, and I know I can always count on someone to help me immediately! I feel very fortunate to still have an actual hardware store like them to count on! If youve ever gone to a Home Depot store looking for someone to help you, the employees all seem to scatter the minute they detect you may need some help. Not this ACE store!!! They are EXTREMELY helpful!!!

Well... Im done with this place. I literally live within walking distance and will go to home depot instead. They are just rude here. Walk in 15 minutes before they close and the employee says, what are you looking for, we close in 15 minutes. Last time. Wont go here again. Its terrible like most local businesses in Auburn. Sad really, I try to buy local but the service and hours are beyond horrible.Old review: First, the hours here are pretty terrible. Who expects to cater to typical working people but only stay open to 6 pm? Youre a retail store, you need to be open later on weekdays... but this is pretty typical of any small store in Auburn.So... I went here a couple weeks ago as its close to my house and all I needed was some sealant. Found my sealant which I expected to be more expensive than Home Depot... It was... then went to check out... The lady at the counter was chatting with other employees... barely said two words to me... handed me my receipt without even looking at me... I said thank you... didnt even acknowledge anything, no your welcome, or even a glance... When this store was TruValue I barely went because of the high prices. But when you dont even get typical customer service, why am I going to go here?

In my local ACE store (2 blocks from my home), products may cost a little more than the big guys, but I save more than the difference in gas. I love their sales and their clearances and it seems they always have the odd/hard to find product I need, and always with the more than happy to help employees. Great Variety for such a small store.and P.S. - my newly-cut KEYS always worked.

I had a horrible experience at the local Auburn Home Depot. Decided to give Ace Hardware a try. Not only was it better but I was IMPRESSED by how much it was better!I rented a chainsaw, a lady with glasses / a tattoo helped us. I wish I got her name because she was so helpful & Awesome! Nort was a name a did catch. He helped get the chainsaw out of the back with the awesome lady. He set me up with a gas can oil and everything offered to even teach me how to use it!I ended up needing a new blade a couple hours later, went back to Ace. That awesome Nort and another Male worker slapped a new one on there for me no problem so I could get back to work.I REALLY cannot say how much thier nice natured true customer service meant to me after a hard couple days of work, and a horrible experience else where. I would recommend Ace Hardware over anywhere else in town 10× over!

It feels dangerous going into Auburn Ace. Many customers and employees are not wearing masks or wearing them around their mouths or chins, leaving mouth and nose exposed. They are fools and a danger to public health.

I live in Meadow Vista & generally patronize the well stocked Ace H there, but occasionally when looking for an unusual fastener, or rental item not available in MV, you will find me here. I have found the staff at each to be very helpful with attentive, upbeat attitudes. I am sorry that apparently that wasn’t the experience of one reviewer, but having lived here since 1982, it has been my consistent experience. Do I ever go Home to shop? Yes, but normally I stop or call the Ace’s first, but if unavailable there, and then if I’m up for an experience of loneliness and some degree of frustration, I’ll go HomeD.

Ive been a regular at Auburn True Value for many, many years. We got a Home Depot a couple of years ago, but if I can get something here where they greet me by name when I walk in the door, why would I go wander that big-box?This little store has saved many a project for me over the years.Heck, they even stock the special filters for our Bunn coffee maker, and Im pretty sure thats just for me!

I am very disappointed with this store, their return policy is never explained nor is it displayed in BIG BOLD LETTERS anywhere in the store, so if you buy a few extra items and you need to return them 31 days after the purchase they will not even consider taking it.I get it, its the price you pay for shopping in small town stores like these.I have nothing against the employees, they are following instructions from the GENIUSES at Corporate.
