Went to brunch to catch up with an old friend and I’m glad I drove all the way out for this hidden gem! Everyone was super kind and attentive. Food was fresh and healthy. Drinks were tasty and fun. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere and I really enjoy that low key vibe in a brunch spot. It’s kind of limited parking so be prepared to carpool! Overall, I would come back again for dinner and bring some friends as well

I took my lady friend on a date to this place because we enjoy breakfast restaurants we both enjoyed the meal. The environment is very relaxing and modern. The food was flavorful and different the Omelette had pretty crisp vegetables slight amount of cheese and a good amount of tomatoes to make it juicy. The macaroni and cheese is bold in flavor with hints of onion and peppers. The French toast had this Bavarian cream style topping with fruits berries interesting spices that was on top of the French toast. Nothing to write home about but I would definitely return and eat again.

It was good food but not amazing. It was really busy so we waited a while in the line. The food was presented attractively but it was ok. Not the best but nowhere close to the worst. French toast was the best thing today. Simple with fresh berries. The croque madem was a little dry and my eggs overcooked on the bottom and a little raw on top. My drink was delicious, Not too sweet, gin and passion fruit.

Sun in My Belly served as our caterers for our wedding and rehearsal dinner in Atlanta. They did a fantastic and professional job from start to finish. Planning a wedding is a lot of work, and the staff at SIMB felt at many points more like wedding planners than simply caterers due to the amount of planning and help they provided. We were able to work out a package to use their space for the rehearsal dinner, which was perfect. All of the food was fantastic and they were very accommodating with minor tweaks to their menu items according to our preferences. They are a well-oiled machine who will guide you through every step of the process and make your life easier. We highly recommend them.

I’m sorry but this place is trash. I love to support small businesses which is why my family and I went but there’s nothing I ordered that I couldn’t have made at home myself and better. The French toast was not sweet. The hash browns were flat and sausages weren’t good either. I asked for a substitute and got butter grits which were better. The drinks we ordered were flat too. I would not recommend the place.

We were so happy to have had the amazing service of Sun in My Belly as the caterers for our Piedmont Park wedding! After 2 reschedules from the pandemic, we finally celebrated with them this fall in our dream wedding. Since we live in Connecticut, everyone was so accommodating with scheduling for tastings and planning meetings, as well as keeping in contact over phone and email. Hilary in particular was wonderful, not only for her professionalism and phenomenal talent at her job, but also for being so genuine and understanding when we didnt know what was going on. The day of the wedding, the staff were awesome and improvised an additional vegan meal which we didnt account for (oops!) We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the lemon and lavender mini pies for dessert -- but you really cant go wrong with Sun in My Belly! We cannot wait to visit again the next time we are in Atlanta.

This place USED TO be my favorite brunch in Atlanta. But don’t let the amazing menu and food photos you see here deceive you. They have completely changed the menu into a simple diner like menu. All of their star items are gone. The food was not great. The potatoes were extremely dry. The eggs were average. The only bright side is they left their lavender biscuit on the menu. Those are good. They’ve also changed the service style. Before you would get a table and get served and, even though it would take a long time, you could hang out at your table with your coffee and drinks while you waited. Now you have to wait for over an hour in an insanely long (and crowded) line just to order and then try to snag a table (which may not happen). The food will come in disposable plates and plastic silverware. Your drinks will also be in plastic cups. The whole experience, including the environment AND the food, is completely destroyed. This place is not even remotely what it used to be. I do not recommend it over other brunch places in atl at all.

Most expensive avocado toast Ive ever ordered. The amount of avocado on the toast was soooo sparse I could literally see the bread underneath with ease. Separate point but related - I dont like cilantro or onions so I asked for both to be taken off. I feel like when you order a dish at a restaurant and ask for them to take away some key ingredients...they should give you a bit more of whats left over. Overall, I was really looking forward to trying SIMB bc I always hear such great things. Went to brunch with my dad and both of us were left seriously underwhelmed and dont plan on ever going back.Additionally...how are we in the middle of a pandemic but the coffee area is self serve...with no hand sanitizer in sight. Like...everyone was touching the mouth of the creamer and milk with their fingers and like...who knows if they were clean!? Pandemic aside - WHAAAAT?!

Apparently this place is one of the best brunch restaurants in ATL. I thought the food was okay. The eggs I ordered lacked salt and flavor. The grits were watery and just not good. We decided to sit outside and were attacked by lots and lots of flies then we noticed that the garbage cans are near the seating areas which may be why there were so many flies. I didnt really like that you had to stand in line to order then find seating afterwards. Its a bit confusing and takes a while to get to order then be lucky enough to find seating.

We visited here on a Sunday, maybe we had too high expectations, the reality is not very satisfactory. Maybe because too many people waiting, so almost no service at all, wait in line for about 50 mins and order in the order Windows (20% tips mandatory), sit wherever is available. Besides, the clean condition is a big issue, too many flies in the outside dining area. Except for all of those, at least Croquet madam and fried tomato are delicious, French toast is like so so.

The brioche french toast with bananas foster was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were firm and juicy with a nice and crispy breading. They were served sliced into bite-size pieces with melty pimento cheese on top. If you want a photogenic cheese pull, order the side of mac and cheese! Not sure what seasoning was in it, but we liked it. My friend liked their shrimp and grits and the pork sausage. The veggie sausage tasted like the MorningStar brand. Decent portions for the price. The staff was friendly and they wore masks. The inside is crowded for space if you wait in line to order vs the to-go counter, but the outdoor seating is nice. I hope they’ll make their indoor space more accessible! When we were standing in line, we had to move aside repeatedly for customers headed to the bathroom and employees headed to the kitchen (or to access the drink fridge). Everyone was polite, but it was a bit stressful to be blocking everyone’s way. I understand that space is limited, but I think that making everybody—including disabled people and those with mobility aids—feel welcome is important. Thanks for the food!

The jam with the lavender biscuit is really good. I would take this jam home. I ordered the PBLT with a fried egg. The sandwich needed more flavor and more pimento cheese. Really poor experience. The patio had food and stains under a lot of the tables that seemed as if they had been there a very long time. We spent our entire time shooing flies away from our table. We couldn’t take two bites of food or sip our coffee without having several flies swoop in. We ended up giving up and asking for to go containers, and we left. Also, the whole place is very wasteful. I understand they are taking precautions, but plastic utensils, paper plates with extra paper to cover them, to go cups for coffee, plastic cups for water. And if you need condiments or napkins, there’s a table for everyone to put all their grubby hands in one bowl and get them themselves. The community condiments and water station made me think of germs. It just doesn’t make much sense, and is really terrible for the environment. No one brings anything to the table except for your initial food delivery. If you need anything you have to get up and go wait in line or get it yourself. But if you get up, the flies get to your food. The food was good, and the staff was nice enough, but I definitely won’t go back. I felt really gross just sitting there.

I wish the food was as good as the restaurant name. Went for Friday brunch. They had no spiked Capri Suns made and were prepping some for the weekend. The potatoes were cold, and drier than they looked, no butter, no onions, no good. Replaced the potatoes with a side of cheese grits. Everything was ok with liberal amounts of salt and pepper. The pimento BLT was better without the bread . The toast was over-buttered, killing any flavor the fried green tomato may have had. The taste was all pimento cheese and buttered toast. I really wanted to like something, so I took a zucchini walnut loaf to go. Nothing I tasted inclines me to eat here again. This place gives great vibes though. I would only come back for the patio or living room area seating to get some quiet reading done. Atmosphere is the only redeeming quality here.

We had about a 5 minute wait outside the restaurant, then a ~20 minute wait working our way around the winding line inside, and finally a ~15 minute wait for our food. The menu- especially the breakfast menu- is quite eclectic, and Im sure anything I ordered would have been tasty. I had the omelet-of-the-day, which had roast beef, red peppers, and mushrooms in it, and a side of hashed potatoes and a cappuccino. I definitely enjoyed my meal, and my friends did too. The prices are very reasonable, and I did not mind the wait time- SIMB is a very popular place, and I understand why the lines are so long. It is definitely a restaurant where you go with friends and family. Parking was a hassle, but whats new in the greater Atlanta area? Pre-Covid this was one of my favorite places. While I appreciate they have new Covid measures in place, the food has gone down hill significantly. I had breakfast here this morning. As I see another reviewer has said, they fed me old French toast. It was extremely hard and cold. I think they really had made it the day before, threw it on the plate and then put some berries on top. They do not have maple syrup which is also a disappointment … not that I was able to use it anyways. No one bothers to check in on you so I had to bring my plate with my baby on my hip back to the front. They were more than willing to refund me but when I looked at my receipt after I was already outside I realized he only gave me six dollars back which was not the actual cost of the French toast. In addition to the French toast, we also had scrambled eggs and potatoes. I would say both are mediocre and they were served relatively cold as well. Everything was on paper plates and it just was not a pleasant experience.

Southern brunch food - grits and biscuits, benedicts, done cozy and well. Some cute little additions like a VHS projector showing disney VHS tapes, comfy sofa, cocktail bar, pâtisserie counter, big leafy ferns. Its busy on a weekend and its easy to see why: caters well to the luxuriant brunch crowd and to the lycra keto-eating crowd too.It bustles and the service is good - but theres as much on the staffs plate as the food plates. They make the food well, eggs poached perfectly, home made apple jelly has great flavour and spice, home made boursin, cakes, lavender biscuits, chipotle hollandaise...Its warm inside so prepare with layers if its cold out and the chairs are hard wood.

I enjoy coming to SIMB. I’ve been here several times. The decor is eclectic as is the entire place.I’ve had the eggs Benedict and that has been good. The potatoes are always good. This time I get the egg sandwich panini with egg whites. They give a nice amount of egg whites so it’s worth it.My friend got the savory French toast and from the outside it looked good but once you got into the actual toast it, which was a piece of challah bread, it was bland inside and not savory like the name suggest. Maybe stay away from the savory French toast. With all the other ingredients on the French toast, it makes up for it.Either way, I highly recommend trying out this place.

The ambience is awesome. The service was friendly and the food was superb. The crowd was quite diverse which was refreshing. The food was great!. This is the Savory French Toast. A interesting but delicious take on a normally overly sweet breakfast. The restaurant was kinda loud because the tables are packed kinda tight but still worth the money.

Eclectic place. Quiche was good. French toast was pretty loaf of Challah bread, would have preferred French Toast made from the bread instead. Nice place for brunch.

The shrimp and grits are amazing and this is coming from a Louisiana native who knows what it’s supposed to taste like! It’s really nice they offer veggie sausage along with pork and other meats. The iced coffee was delicious and the banana French toast was scrumptious. We went on a Tuesday at 10 am and there were plenty of available tables. There is parking in the back of the restaurant.
