Im not sure why anyone would buy a steak from Whole Foods or Fresh Market. A steak from Midtown is like eating a totally different food item. Soooooo Good!!! See whats left of my dry aged KC Strip. About to gnaw down on the bone to get every bit of goodness out of this unbelievable piece of meat. It is good to be a carnivore.

It seems finding a good butcher shop is a thing of the past until I found Midtown Butcher! The selection and quality of meats are outstanding. Tons of other offerings from Italian to all of the BBQ staples you need.The vidalia onion marinated chicken breasts are to die for. The chicken parm is also a great option for make at home.The staff are very nice and knowledgeable and will get you what you need and trim anything to your liking. Definitely the best place to get good meat in Atlanta.They also have a nice beer and wine selection available.

Awesome boutique butcher shop on the east side of Piedmont Park. Small batch sourced with a variety of meats. Bought a grass feed ribeye. Did not disappoint.

Probably the best butcher in town.They have a very impressive selection of non-meat items as well. Lots of sides, wine, vegetables, group dishes ready to heat up in aluminum containers; pretty much anything you would want for a steak dinner.If you want the good stuff, go here.

I ordered 4 prime filets for a special birthday celebration. Everyone commented on how flavorful and tender the steaks were. Very high quality product that made a special evening even more memorable!

This place has hooked me up so many times. They have a great selection, knowledgeable staff, and theyre usually willing, if they have the time, to go the extra mile and help me out with prep or selection or workarounds.Their pre-marinated selections are very well done, and my only note is that I wish they were open later. Love this spot.

Excellent service and products. I work for the Food Network and needed a large order of salmon, short ribs and specially prepared chicken for filming with a celebrity chef. Midtown butchers came to our rescue. Everything was prepared exactly to our unique specifications, exactly on time. Chef was thrilled at the excellent quality and preparation. Could not recommend more for both specialty orders and home cooks.

Great place for hard to find and prime meats. I was able to find prime tri-tips, duck legs, and picanha here. A true destination for carnivores.

I would never figure that a butcher shop would have such a good cheesecake but the chocolate cheesecake is some of the best cheesecake Ive ever had. I can only imagine the quality and deliciousness of the other things that they sell. I think Ill have to expand my horizons but Ill be back very soon for some chocolate cheesecake.

When you go there the dude says, “what do you need, what do you need, what do you need” from way across the store. He just keeps saying it over and over and over again. He looks like a dirty bum on the street. Then when you walk over to get closer to the bum because you don’t feel like yelling across the store they get all freaked out because you’re too close. So I left immediately and I will never go back.I’ve been there one time before. They always have a real A hole demeanor.Costco has very good prime steak!

Hands down the best meat! Fresh and frozen, the taste and texture are always amazing, juicy too. I feel like the quality is so good I cant screw it up and Im not great at cooking meat. Their frozen meals are great also.The guys behind the counter are friendly and courteous. I always feel good when I leave because supporting a family owned business. Try it. It just might end up being your favorite shopping spot!

Best beef I have found in Atlanta, plus sushi grade tuna, duck, lamb, veal, rabbit, boudin, pork, brisket, wagyu beef hot dogs, andoullie etc etc etc. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny for the quality.

We LOVE the Midtown Butcher Shoppe. They offer awesome meat packages so you can get an assortment of chicken, tri-trip, chuck roast, steaks, pork loin, and more for a very reasonable price - especially considering how good the quality is. We exclusively buy our meat here because the quality is so much better than at the grocery store.

Midtown! This place is a GEM. Thank goodness there is somewhere near to buy the things for “fancy” recipes that’s always good quality. No more wondering if Whole Foods will have the cut I need. The hanger steak! The duck breast! Everything we have purchased from this place has been the best quality and absolutely delicious. This is my go-to meat supplier now.

In search for better quality ribs, I came here. I bought one rack of baby back ribs just to try them out. They actually turned out awesome and was probably the best batch of ribs I’ve done in my life. My only complaint is the price. The ribs were $22.07 ($7.99 LB). I understand that you’re running a store in Midtown but I just can’t seem to justify the price. Having working in BBQ restaurants for several years, I was kind of shocked. Nonetheless, the meat was quality, however I don’t see myself coming back for a while.

Bought a boneless leg of lamb for Christmas dinner. Beautiful piece of meat. Not gamey and the texture was like a filet mignon. Ill be back.

This is my go to place for steaks. If youve only had steak from publix or kroger do yourself a favor and get one from here next time. You will never go back to super market steak, the quality is just head and shoulders above them.They have a good selection of beef and pork cuts and will take orders if they dont have what you are looking for. So if you are looking for something like brisket, short rib, or picanha, they have it.They also have a bunch of ready made family meals and other sides that are pretty good too.

I bought a Porterhouse steak at Midtown Butcher Shoppe for my 30th Anniversary and Wow! If it hadnt been for Covid we would have gone out to eat at a fancy steakhouse for dinner, so glad we didnt! Best steak that Ive had in Atlanta- home cooked or fancy steakhouse . Selection is great service is friendly I will definitely be coming back.(On a separate note: Costco blade tenderize their steaks, Yikes!!!)

Just wanted to say we came in on Sunday to get food for dinners this week. We ate the dry aged KC strips last night and they were delicious!!! Amazing marbling and such a different kind of funky flavor! We’d only had dry aged beef from fancy steakhouses, so it was nice to have it at home (and not at $75+/person) Made for a really special dinner on an otherwise regular/mundane Monday night. Had the with some roasted broccoli and garlic bread I made with whole roasted gloves. We ate at the dining room table with a nice bottle of wine - rather than in front of the television like we so often default to. great way to start off our week!!

We love this place. It is a traditional butcher shop with most cuts you might want. They also gave fresh seafood and awesome crab cakes along with salads, and a few prepared heat em and eat em meals. A good selection of wine and draft beer sold in growlers too. One of the few places you can buy prime beef to cook at home.

My daughter and I were looking for a meat butcher. We were hungry but wanted something that would appease the tastebud Gods. We went to two other butchers first. Idk what they were selling. So Midtown Butcher he we come. First the ambiance nice. Two staff friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Let me tell you we got two bone-in USDA Prime rib steaks, cut like butter. Oooh wee yes sir. I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine from college. Needless to say, it beats every single expectation. Extremely clean, very friendly staff, AWESOME rewards program and an unbelievable selection of meats. Never been the one to buy a piece of meat pre-marinated but the peach flavored Cheshire pork chop was fantastic! The sides, wine and growlers they offer are amazing as well. I recommend this place to everyone I know! These guys know exactly what theyre doing and hope they are here for a long time. Cheers guys!

I have to say I was quite disappointed with my first visit to Midtown Butcher yesterday. I am a passionate cook whod always driven by and live on the other side of the park. After I saw the great reviews, I had to check it out. I was so excited to try them so I ordered over $100 worth of meats. I was particularly looking forward to some expert advice on how to best prepare and grill the various cuts so I asked the younger butcher when I was checking out. Instead of giving any great tips like a quick sear and indirect heat, he didnt offer anything and instead gave me a sheet on how to bake pot roast, which I didnt even order. As I was home and researching methods for each cut of steak, I couldnt quite tell the difference between the rib-eye and NY strip, so I called back to give him a second chance. After a few attempts at describing, he recommended that I just Google it. Of course I could have Googled it, but I chose to call for some local expert advice. All I needed to know is that the ribeye is known for a marble pattern. This was an overall disappointing service experience that was surprising based on prior reviews.

Everything we have had from this butcher shop is delicious - from the meats to all of their prepared items! They also have wine and beer. Everything you need to bring home for a meal!

It is hard to find beef this good. The prime strips were perfectly marbled and when grilled, were of the melt in your mouth variety. This may be the best place in Atlanta to buy quality steaks.

The quality and selection of meats, prepared meals, produce, etc. exceeded our expectations. We were like kids in a candy shop. It took us years, but now we have been there two days in a row! This place is funny! I went here one day asking for a shoulder steak butterflied and pounded. No problem! A year later I returned and asked for the exact same thing. They looked at me like I was from Mars! Fortunately I did find another butcher that knows exactly how to do this more than once !!Greg: I have no idea who I talked to. One guy was on his phone looking up my request. I now go to the kosher butcher on La vista. I call them and its waiting for me when I get there. Great service.

Their marinated chicken is so amazing. Ive tried every kind they have and theyre all top notch. I also really enjoy their sides such as their loaded baked potatoes, mac & cheese, or Parmesan crusted potatoes. Props for having growlers as well. Cant wait for grilling season to pick back up!

Greg and his crew at Midtown Butcher Shoppe were awesome in helping me out. I didnt know exactly what I wanted to get, so I asked for suggestions and got honest opinions on the different cuts of meat. I ended up getting the prime ribeyes and the hot Italian sausage and it did not disappoint.They also have a pretty cool wine and beer growler selection, so I highly suggest checking it out asap.

After being told by another butcher shop that they couldnt source me picanha, and that they didnt cut T-Bones, I decided to drop into Midtown Butcher. Their selection is excellent. For example, I wanted to get a bone in ribeye steak and they had BOTH a nice marbled corn fed and a more lean grass fed variety as well. They had the picanha I was looking for, and were happy to leave it whole or cut it for me. They were not annoyed at wanting a particular steak, in fact the opposite. Each time I requested an item I was asked do you have your eye on one in particular? In addition to the fine selction of meats there was also an ample selection of game meats and seafood, from whole pheasants to lobster tails that looked excellent. I took home a jar of prepared marinara and it was very nice. Overall this is my type of shop, I dont mind paying a little more for excellent service and products, and I think everybody should pause before buying meats at chain grocers and examine their other options.

Very rude to me when I asked if they deboned meat, the guy who was working there looked at me as if I asked him the stupidest question. Last time I checked they call themselves a butcher shoppe. If thats not the case then why are you doing business? I also emailed them a week ago asking about ordering and never heard back. A big disappointment from start to finish!!!!
