Were visiting from FL and stopped here for breakfast. Service was good and fast. Good coffee. Food was great and large portions! My challah french toast was thick and tasty. My husband ordered eggs with nova which came with all the needed condiments (onions, capers, tomato). Would come back if in the area.
Ordered online 5 salt sticks. 5 minutes later get an email confirmation and pick up time. Drive twenty miles to pick up the order. Arrive and they tell me they no longer make that item. No attempt to call or email me. Absolute garbage. Substituted 5 bagels which cost half of what I paid. Never again. You got me this time. Never again.
Three times I have ordered here, however, have been to the restaurant in person. Delivery is at ZERO concern for them. Somthing missing and wrong everytime. Im done after three on delivery. In person it was good the reason I ordered delivery during pandemic time. However, i will say currently went in person and thinga have changed. Just look at those sad biscuits and gravy. Sad like the love they have lost. HOW DO YOU DELIVER A DOZEN BAGELS AND FORGET THE CREAM CHEESE!! Employees breakfast ruined. Done. Last time we order from here.
I have never eaten here before but was perusing DoorDash looking for something light but tasty. I saw that they had Reuben Egg Rolls in the appetizer section and that intrigued me (love Reubens and love egg rolls). Ordered the Reuben Egg Rolls and a side of fresh fruit. It arrived complete and packaged well for delivery. The egg rolls (comes with 3) did not disappoint. Inside ingredients were cooked perfectly and the outside wrap had a nice crisp to them. The 1000 Island dressing was perfect too.The fruit cup was a standard fruit cup (cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple & red grapes) were indeed fresh and a delicious complement to the warm egg rolls.Overall it was really tasty brunch and I would certainly order that again.
Customer service is trash, called to let them know this is the second time they send me the Nova with onion incorrectly made- I received scrambled eggs w/o salmon. Cashier said there was nothing she could do and that was the kitchens fault. I asked to speak to the kitchen and she hung up the phone on me.
Would not come here for take out again. It took 25 minutes to get 2 breakfast sandwiches to go. People who ordered well after us had received their food, when we asked about ours the person behind the counter pulled our food out from behind the counter so it must have just been sitting there. She didnt even say a word.not very friendly there at all. Roswell road location is much more efficient.
Great customer service. The food is phenomenal and its close to my job.I feel welcomed every visit.
My husband and I decided to drop in to Goldbergs while I was waiting to get my retainer made from Wright Orthodontics next door! I knew from the moment we walked through the door that it was going to be a hit! We waited just a short time in line! Once we were seated, we were greeted right away by our waitress Jackie! She was awesome! She suggested the French toast stick! If you have never had them before THEY ARE A MUST!!! My husband had the friend chicken and waffle and I had the fried chicken Reuben! OMG!!! So delicious! The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! I most definitely recommend you stop in and try one of their many delicious selections! We will be back!!
OMG THE RUBEN. AMAZING! SERVICE AMAZING π. NIE DAT COLESLAW NEED A LIL HELP lol. BUT THE SANDWICHES ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. THE MENU IS VAST SO plenty to try.
Always good breakfast that is difficult to find at other places. Nice community place. Would be nice if restaurants post masks required then all employees should wear a mask.
Always on point!!! Got the White Chocolate Challa Bread pudding with Peach compote & powder sugar for later!!!
First time in today. I ordered the 1/2 soup and salad. Oven roasted turkey, fully loaded on Rye, with mushroom barley soup and potato salad. The soup could use some salt but itβs nice that you can salt it to taste. I will be back!
Ok I spent time in New York as close as you can get to a Jewish deli.
These are the best bagels in Atlanta. All of the traditional flavors (including Pumpernickel!!). The service is fast, and ALL of the workers are super super kind and friendly. Dont waste your time elsewhere. Viva Goldbergs!
While other Goldberg locations have been fantastic, this location historically (and with a recent take out order) has messed up meals, delivered cold / incomplete food, and similar. While a good brand, not the best run location.
Good food, friendly service. I think the prices are a bit high for some things and the fries are pretty lack luster but its a solid place for a meal.
Very good! Had the nova move onions plate with an everything bagel and tomato slices. All were perfect! Coffee was good. Staff was friendly and masked. Would recommend!
I was finally able to get a bagel with lox and a smear! It was delicious, but huge! Enough lox to share. So if you are with someone else who wants it, just one. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I didnβt take a picture of my good but I did get this cool photo that was in my sight line while eating and Iβm a huge Beatles fan.
Did a business deal here.Great atmosphere.Delicious food.Highly recommended.
Fantastic Jewish deli. Their bagels are phenomenal and they have excellent smoked salmon and corned beef and other options. Their frozen prepared meals are also excellent!
Goldbergs has very friendly service. However, as a Jewish deli is more -ish than Jew. They do have Kugels, but not a variety, nor knishs,.The Bagels are well textured, though the yeast balance could be better.Wi-Fi is free and there is plenty of Parking, though its busy.Goldbergs is not Kosher but it sure is fun.
Awesome bagels, my new go-to and favorite of a New York relative who visits. They put together a huge order for me with les than 24 hours notice, great service.
Its unfortunate that there are so few places to get decent bagels in the perimeter. Goldbergs is set up like a new york deli with none of the efficiency.
Food is good but ordering ahead was a mess. Took 45 minutes past when was supposed to be ready then was missing many items. Tried to call and their phone is disconnected. Very poor service.
This is the best Goldbergs. Staff is wonderful!! Food is good, they try too hard to be a NY deli in Atlanta. If you want the real thing donβt go here. Go here for good basic food and great service. Not βJewish styleβ not New York either. But itβs good. We go back over and over.
I had ordered food for my husband and I for carryout. The fries was crispy, but overcooked with burnt and dry spots throughout the wedges. I am disappointed in the consistency of quality, especially since I have ordered from Doordash delivery from time to time with this same location.
I love this location and the food. Itβs my go to when I eat breakfast. Highly recommend.
Fantastic corned beef, pastrami, onion rings, rye bread, onion bagel... honestly, everything we had was great! Was worth the ride over and look forward to being in this part of town again so we can drop in.
I came to a somewhat busy takeout area, ordered 2 of the same egg, cheese, meat on toasted everything bagel and a side of chive cream cheese take out. It took at least 20 min before I had to ask them where my sandwiches were before they made them. They didnβt even get the sandwiches right and they were not hot, most likely they were sitting there.People were also not wearing masks and walking in and making orders. The staff didnβt seem to mind that they were maskless.Iβve been to Goldbergβs elsewhere and theyβre usually fine and do not have any issues. Will not come to this one again.
Always good/efficient
This place is amazing! Great food and service.
Waited 40 minutes for 4 bagel sandwiches for take-out
Best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches!
I have already ordered takeout from here multiple times. The food has been great. The tall person behind the counter has excellent cusromer service skills. The bagels here are the best I could find so far since Ive been in Atlanta.
For dine in: the servers were NOT wearing masks.
This is my favorite Sunday morning spot. The staff at both locations are amazing!! Different atmosphere at both locations but always great food and a good time! Shout out to Britney this am she was fun awesome and had a gorgeous mask!
Wonderful authentic bagels. Great breakfast.
Good quality, variety and friendly staff π
The only reason for the 1 star rating was pur server who was pleasant and tried her best to make our visit better. My wife and I ordered a lean corned beef sandwich, French fries and a beverage. We usually split deli sandwiches because they are so large. It took around 10 minutes for our order to be brought to us and we were both astonished. For 11.95 we got a warmed over, skimpy sandwich on toasted, packaged, seeded rye bread. The meat was slightly warmer than room temperature and it was very fatty. My first bite was all I needed to know that I was going to be very disappointed with the meal. The meat was very tough. I asked our server how the meat was warmed and she said that the meat was sliced once a week and divided into sandwich portions. The result was an extremely mediocre sandwich. Our waitress offered to get us another sandwich but we declined the offer.
Ordered biscuits and gravy via uber eats 4 biscuits 4 oz of gravy not nearly enough gravy for the biscuits one small piece of meat in the gravy no flavor definitely not worth Uber eats cost I wont even pay for the regular price in the store
It was ok, the food was good, the omelet was overcooked and the bagel was just warm not toasted. The server was a little absent. But the only really bad thing where the people eating their favorite being nasty to other customers each other and the servers. I guess the people in that area are just nasty mean people by the way they were acting in the restaurant.
Used the online order feature to pick up my food. Order was incorrect. Tried calling restaurant and no one answered.I asked for a plan bagel with cinnamon raisin cream cheese. They gave me strawberry cream cheese. In addition, I ordered a waffle but the description didnβt say it came with melon. My friend has a melon allergy so could not eat it.JalapeΓ±o cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese was fine.
Delicious bagels and our waiter was very nice.
Bad service. The person was irritated with us while taking our order. We went back to ask a question and she responded with a curse word. The coffee was cold. The person making the food took our order with her gloves on and didnt change them before making the food. Didnt have her hair in a net. The order was wrong when they brought it to us. Wrong meat on one of the two sandwiches. It was not worth the money. I feel like I should go back next week just to see if it was a fluke.
The food and the coffeet are great, that goes without saying, but what stands out to me about this location is the service..... my to go order is always perfect,.... they do things the way I like, I dont even have to ask them to do, they just know.... great service with a friendly attitude makes all the difference
The value wasnt present in the items that we received. In particular the cold roast beef sandwich the roast beef was almost well done. I expected it to be medium rare like the picture outside of store. Ill probably go back and check out some of their hot sandwich items, but not the roast beef
Everything was great . Kelcey, Carrie & Ms Anne was wonderful !!!!!! I would recommend to come here .. food was fresh too !!!
Goldbergs USED to be my go to bagel spot. Today, it took over 25m for me to get a dozen bagels and some cream cheese. They were sold out of cinnamon raisin. They forgot a half pound of cream cheese and I had to go back... Then, when I got home my bagel assortment wasnt even correct and the bagel quality was lacking. They were obviously struggling trying to meet Door dash, Uber Eats and ChowNow orders, forget just trying to walk in the door. Management would be wise to not over commit, you guys just lost a long time customer.
We had a great time ask for Erica she is a gives great service! My wife loves their coffee β. We will be back soon.
Killer bagels and breakfast food with classic vibes. Visiting is an absolute must!
Not the Jewish deli you remember, hoped for the Bagel Palace of yesterday. Not worth your time.
Today I stumbled on this gem. As soon as I walked in I smiled. It felt right and I knew the food was going to be amazing. Theres a counter to place to go orders and large cases so that you can see the meats and bagels. As soon as I walked to the area to be seated, I was created immediately by two smiling faces and seated instantly. I wanted grits, eggs and bacon. I places my order and my food arrived immediately. I was impressed to say the least. The young who took my order was efficient and attentive. My food was prepared beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed my grits. They were very creamy like just like I like them. The art on the walls intrigued me. I was blown away that there are several locations around Atlanta. I will definitely be back and Im telling all of my friends. Kudos on a job well done!!
I was disappointed with my visit to Goldbergs/Toco Hills today for lunch. The hostess directed my party to a dirty table that was uncleaned and not properly sanitized by prior patrons. Before I could explain the situation to the hostess, she left to attend other business. After waiting over five minutes for any waitress to stop by our table, we got up and left. The restaurant was clearly not exercising proper social distancing because the booths were seated with patrons, back to back. I wont be back!
The bagels are delicious and plenty of bread and spread types to choose from. A nice place for Jewish staples, though admittedly I donβt have the most knowledge on that subject. Thereβs also a nice lunch/dinner menu, but I personally always go for brunch. Thereβs usually a short wait to be seated on the weekends, and occasionally the service takes a while to get back to you, but thatβs to be expected for weekend brunch. It would be great if they had an extra server on the weekends though, the staff seems a bit stressed.
Bad pickup car experience. Ordered online when we arrived they said their location doesnβt have the food we ordered and that they tried to contact us. They never called or attempted to contact.
The staff were nice but the food was not up to standards. I went here for years and loved it but today, despite the short line, was disappointed. My locks and bagel had a long brown hair in the cream cheese ( similar to the lady who took my order, her hair was down and long brown). The salmon was a very small amount and for the price, should have been plentiful. The plain bagel it came with was good though. I ordered a basic chocolate chip bagel for my kids but they couldnt eat it well since it was hard. This was my favorite place for breakfast when I lived in Atlanta, too bad their standards changed.
We love our Goldbergs at Toco Hill! The staff is awesome, the food delicious, and is the most authentic NY deli Ive found in the 30 plus years Ive been living here! It feels like family there. Tia, Kristin, Jill, Lonnie and Shawn are the best!
If you say you are open for dine in until 3 pm then that means you can come in and order and eat. We were told to sit where ever we want There was a man eating in the dining room. Then we were told that if we ordered we would have to take it with us. Also when you post new times of operation you show cover the old sign. Restaurants are there for the customers not for the convenience of the waitersThis is not the only place in townWe will. It be back
I brought some out of town family here for brunch today. The food is always delicious and I wanted to impress them; however the service was disappointing. At first our server was great with taking our orders and the food came quickly. Its been many years since weve seen our family so we took our time talking and visiting. We ordered coffee and dessert after our meal and were enjoying each others company. The longer we stayed the more dirty looks were directed our way. The waitress eventually stopped coming over to us to ask if we needed anything. As we finished up and were walking out one of the waitresses said time is money very loudly. We tipped very well even though we were treated disrespectfully. I understand waitresses need their tables to get in and get to make money, but we still deserved proper service. I wont be bringing my out of town family here ever again.
I expected so much from the salmon burger but unfortunately... I was disappointed beyond measure. I hope we can collaborate on a solution relating to my displeasure with you allβs menu item. Thanks.
Excellent food and service, good hygiene too. Havent been here since March, glad to be back.
Always great bagels! I find them the best in the north side of the perimeter. Its a great brunch spot for all the culturally Jewish breakfast and lunch foods. And a meal is never complete without a regular sized Black & White cookie.
Love the bagel with lox. Its my favorite! Had good selection of bagels even though it was late in the morning when we went. Love the asiago bagel and the blueberry bagel. Atmosphere was nice. Staff was nice.
Chownow said pickup would be 11:18. 20 minutes later I got my order. In the meantime very lax social distancing with Uber eats and Doordash crowding the entrance. Also witnessed an order dispute in which the employee was not friendly.
Wonderful place great people excellent food
Pretty good place for quick bite or a brunch. I always have a hard time choosing something from their menu as they have many great options.
Excellent Reuben and delightful waitress.
Being from New York Goldbergs remind me a lot like Katz Deli no idea on Delancey Street Superior Meats and nice ambience
Not happy, will not ever give this place a second chance. A better alternative would be Einstein Bros. I ordered take out and got the bagel and Nova sandwich with fruit, side of grits, Reuben sandwich with coleslaw and a bagel with cream cheese. I did not receive my bagel but did get the cream cheese, so what now? The bread on the reauben was soaked, like one notch above soggy. The meat was chewy, and the side of slaw was also really bad tasting. The Nova sandwich advertises that it comes with red onion, tomato and pickled capers. I asked for extra capers, and was happy to be charged for it. But instead of onions, tomato and extra capers, I got no capers, onion or tomato, but instead for some reason a generous handful of raw broccoli on my sandwich. Why!?!? The portion size for my side of fruit was a small ramakin. And finally, the grits tasted like boxed insta grits. They were gray and tasted like stale cardboard. Everything I ordered was perfectly bad. So it seems like lack of quality is consistent.
Always great food and usually great service with bright and cheerful servers. This time our waitress seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Not sure why. Thats the reason my star rating is 4/5.
I called in my to go order. When I got there to pick up the food both cashiers were incredibly grim and bordered on rude. They never smiled and exchanged zero pleasantries. This continued while they ascertained that my order had been screwed up. No apologies, no acknowledgment of the delay. I felt I was inconveniencing them by visiting their establishment. The food was fine.
I love their menu and food options. Everything from classic old time diner breakfast and lunch choices to the best deli sandwiches to bagel and desert options that are second to none. Great service and deli self seating as well as standard restaurant style waiter service. Goldbergs is something different every time you visit. I love it!
Went here for years as this used to be a great place to get bagel sandwiches to go, but our last two experiences have been poor.Last time, our nova lox bagels each had only a tiny scrap of salmon and they tried to either hide or compensate by putting three times the normal amount of cream cheese. I never thought I would say this, but it was way too much cream cheese. We thought one bad experience after years of good ones was a fluke and went back. My nova lox on a βjalapeΓ±oβ cheddar bagel with everything on it completely lacked jalapeΓ±os and they forgot the capers. My wifeβs had capers, but also included the red onions that were supposed to be held.Maybe two bad experiences in a row was a fluke. But there have been other changes recently βnot bad ones, just things weβve noticedβ that make us think something has fundamentally changed and this place just isnβt what it used to be.
Very tasty bagel and food! An amazing breakfast. I ordered take out (1 bagel sandwich and a bagel with cream cheese) and it took 30 minutes for them to get me my order. Very tasty food but if you do takeout, just be prepared to wait.
Marie at the Toco Hills Goldbergs was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. She was a joy to work with during our lunch.
My first visit. Very trendy breakfast and brunch place. Had a meeting with a professional associate and no one made us feel like we stayed too long. Will make it a place to meet others. Good food and friendly service.
Not entirely sure what some of the hype is about. Came for brunch/lunch on a Saturday morning and left thinking well that is exactly what I expected it to be.I got chicken salad on a sesame bagel with a side of cole slaw. The bagel was good but not great--it had okay color and decent texture but not quite the same size or color as a good NY-style bagel. Emerald City has better bagels. The chicken salad was good as well and wasnt dressed up in any special way.Service was okay and relatively speedy. The sandwich costed about $11.50 which felt a little bit high for the size and quality.Goldbergs was just fine--nothing too special but certainly nothing to make me never want to come again.
Awesome deli! Great people to meet and chat with while your there.
Always a great Saturday morning/ brunch place. A lot of options from breakfast items to lunch items. Try salmon and bagel or the California Ruben! Friendly staff.
This is my go to place when Iβm at The Battery.
Great experience at Goldbergs with a large order placed for company annual meeting breakfast during the holidays. The best bagels and coffee and extra friendly service.
Fabuloso DELI - wonderful breakfasts and lunches! My most favorite: The Georgia Rubin with a side of potato salad. You have to try it to know what I mean! YUM, YUM!
0 if I could. I call in to place an order and the rudest hostess answers. Making the order complicated . I want brisket and matzo ball soup. She apologizes to other customers and says she has other customers and she is waiting on me. Now in itself words not a problem but her tone is so rude. So me: please donβt let me interrupt you serving other customersπ. I guess I am not a customer. I mean how completely inept and the attitude on this person. I would never eat there. The General Muir is waaaaaaay more professional.
Fantastic breakfast. The bagels are awesome. Service is excellent. Pastries are also very good but limited variety. Lunch sandwiches are the best anywhere on this side of town. Im so glad they are now on my side of town.
Goldbergs is an excellent restaurant! I have been going to Goldbergs in Toco Hills since we moved here in 2010. Luckily, they opened right after we moved here. The atmosphere is super friendly and the waiters and waitresses are efficient. There are a variety of entrees where you can include their marvelous, large bagels. There is usually a very short wait for your food while they fill your coffee cup as much as you like. In addition, all of their portions are generous.
White Fish Salad Done WellFinding a good bagel in Atlanta is challenging, at best. The bagels at Goldbergs are good. Are they as good as the bagels from New York and New Jersey? No. But they are a good placeholder. Their whitefish salad is delicious and that is why I give them five stars. If you grew up with lox, bagels, and whitefish salad, Goldbergs will satisfy that long-lost memory. They also have black and white cookies and they are NOT the best I have ever had, but they are good. Also, they make amazing Hamentashen. Hamentashen is a seasonal cookie so catch them when you can.
Not good. 1st time ordering there was bad, but I thought maybe it was just a fluke since all the ratings were so high. 2nd time ordering there today and it was just as bad. They donβt know how to make proper sandwiches and itβs all over priced. I paid $15 for a sandwich with 2 slices of bread and plain meat between with a little bit of mustard.. what kinda nonsense is that. Glad I got a refund though
The service at this place is absolutely horrible! Every time I come it takes over an hour to get my food and half the time it is cold! The staff always has an attitude. I keep hoping theyβll get better but every time it is a didsapointment! The food isnβt even worth the hassle of trying to get it. Their phone number doesnβt even work and ordering online isnβt any faster! They quoted me a 2 hour wait for a bagel. This place needs some serious help.
The food is good...if you can get it. I just ordered via UberEats and half of my order arrived. When I called I was offered a refund or told I could pick it up. The girl on the phone apologized but was going to hang up when I said, wouldnt you like to take my name? And when I clicked on the website to contact someone online I was redirected to some kind of sleazy spam. Strange.
