The worse place if you need lumber. Not enough workers in yard and have to wait a long time for loading. If your in a hurry you will lode yourself . And 30 minutes is too long to keep a customer waiting.

They have always had what I have needed and the price is reasonable as well. The employees have always been very nice and helped when needed.

Finding an employee can be a little challenging. But once you do you are very well taken care of. All employees are very friendly and helpful. They have a great variety and just about everything you could need.

Employees have always been very friendly here, greet me, and ask of I need help. The store is clean and well lit considering its like a warehouse, and garden center has well taken care of plants. Sometimes my partner and i go here just for fun to look around.

This is a story of the big company not doing as was told. On September 13th 2021 I was in contact with the so-called delivery coordinator she told me in an email that the delivery driver would call 30-40 minutes out from my house I did not receive a phone call until they arrived and I was not home at this time. So I told him to take the doors back but now I can not get my delivery fee refunded which is a 120 dollars because the 3rd party delivery driver did not call me ahead of time so now Im being robbed of 120 dollars. I contacted a manager and he said they could have left it outside sounds great Ill pay 1000 dollars for a set of doors so we can leave them outside for someone to steal ! So I will take my business elsewhere from now on. Thieves !

We needed to buy personal care products, odd groceries, and USB car chargers, but the first place we tried required masks and we were short two masks… but they didnt have any there and suggested Menards. Menards had EVERYTHING we needed, it turns out (including the masks), so we didnt even return to the first place.

Found my Shepards Hook for my hummingbird feeder its and matches my feeder perfectly.

Typically Menards get 5 stars but only 1 star for todays visit. Garden gloves on discount rack.. reduced from $2.99 to $1.99. They rang up at $2.99. The clerk said the price is 2.99 even after I showed a photo of the reduction. I took a pic as this happened previously. The manager(?) Came over and said the price is2.99. I paid the lousy extra buck each as I needed them.

Its like a Walmart and a Lowes had a love child. Super cool place that offers a wide variety of goods. From washers and dryers to Dr. Pepper Baked beans. Wasnt too impressed with their power tool section thought. Overall, I like the place 👍🏻

I gave them 3 stars, which I felt fair. For, I stayed outside in the car, as Im loyal to Lowes. So, I know nothing of their store or the way the store is run. Or what kind of things they carry in their store. Sorry!

Decent selection in home siding. I highly recommend calling before picking up special orders. I received emails stating my order has come in and would be ready to pick up. Ive been down three times now and they still dont have it all. Dont trust the emails. Call.

Very large store didnt get to explore much of it. But it was very clean & friendly service. Wish they would have gave me a receipt. Didnt notice till I was home . Just assumed it was handed to me with my change that I put into my purse.

Short staff in the departmenrs.workers in adjacent departments not willing or not knowledgable to help.spent an hour trying to return a 6 yr water heater that lasted a short 8 months with original reciept in hand and the store wasnt even busy. Nothing but delays and hassles.after speaking with a so called manager all i heard was excuses.store is full of kids who could care less about people let alone good customer service.ive spent near 20k in this store since its short existence but I will be going back down the street

A hardware store with everything you need to build a house. Clean and organized.

Absolutely horrible experience with this Menards, Athens Ohio. We spent several thousand dollars which included new appliances. They charged $169 for delivery then $20 each appliance to install. We waited a few days and 1 single delivery driver showed up by himself with no tools or means to carry a double door refrigerator in our home. My wife and I injured ourselves trying to assist this young man. Great you g man, but he was put in an impossible situation. My hardwood floors are scratched and fridge is dented due to the struggles getting in the home.Then we were stuck installing everything ourselves. After using the washer we discovered it was defective I called and spoke with Robert the store manager who asked me if my electrical outlet burned up the washer, then only wanted to refund me $40 of the delivery fee his words were “well we got them there”. He also blamed the problem on the outside deliver company. We returned our items to the store, and upon arrival received no help unloading them. The washer sat outside the front door of the store while raining. Also, I paid cash for this transaction and they refused to pay me cash back. I called Menards corporate and they refused to take a call, you have to submit complaints in writing.Horrible, I will never return when a company treats new customers like this!

The Athens Menards is very nice, and nothing like the ones I had been to in Omaha, 22 years ago.Exception: Lumber Yard! In order to open the gate, you have to have your receipt. I made the assumption that by scanning the receipt, it would transfer my info to the lady sitting at the exit, apparently that simple technology hasnt made it to Menards yet. The guy a in the lumber yard was friendly, the exit lady, not so much. She needed my receipt and it was online order, no paper. She had to scan the barcode and her handheld wouldnt scam my phone. An eternity later (kinda joking), I was on my way.Please fix this, Menards!

Well, that was more of an experience than I could recall from my last time in a Menards as a child. Updated. With a home improvement on steroids- there was something for everyone in our group of wayward shoppers!.Went above my expectations- will be a place I add to my revist list in Athens. Wish I hadnt waited so long to stop in.

This is not my experience, but that of others. My daughter rented a carpet cleaner, was told to bring it back about the same time tomorrow.She returned it the following day, about the same time, only it was 15 minutes after the 24 hour mark. She was charged for a full extra day, and when she spoke to the manager, was asked dont you know what 24 hours means? Unkind!!Then my other daughter told of a friend who rented something from this store and had an equally negative experience.Manager, you should know that this is what is being said about you and your store

The sign on the propane enclosure indicates that a prefilled BBQ tank has only 15 pounds of propane but their refill has 18.5 pounds,  so refill your bottles at Menards! The hitch? When you go to buy the propane (you have to prepay) the only code they have in the book is for 20 pounds!! They dont have a correct code for 15 pounds OR 18.5 pounds, so one way or the other you are going to pay too much and get too little. Managements (and I use the term loosely) answer was Well, we can only charge whats in the book. Not a functional or effective answer. At the current per gallon price down the street at Tractor Supply of $2.85/ gallon and about 4.5 gallons per tank,  youd fill up two bottles for about $25. At Menards theyll overcharge you $38 dollars and change. Worse,  Tractor Supply has been out of gas for a couple of days so they RECOMMENDED Menards. What a shame to squander a good recommendation like that. Not a compelling customer experience that would keep me coming back at Menards. They may have a ton of selection but if they dont have good customer experience I wont be back.

Huge and has everything you could possibly need for building, home improvement, & even a few groceries. Very helpful floor workers in each dept. for advice. Was able to solve my electrical issue with a minimum of hassle. Good prices (same or lower) as compared to their competitors.

4 out of 5 stars. Customer service is much better than other Menards stores Ive been in. Only issue I have is sporadic locations of items. For instance, wood glue is no where near woodworking area. Its on the other side of the store with pain. Just one of many examples. Overall still a nice store.

I went over there to pickup 5 (only 5) bags of mulch. It shouldve been a simple thing to do. I got sent to 4 different ppl. Each one told me I needed to go somewhere else in the store. Needless to say I wasted a half hr just trying to pickup one thing. They have made it more difficult than what it needs to be. If somebody needs some mulch or whatever, make it so its in one location. Like, say, idk, in front of the store.

So many products, from kitchen cabinets to groceries. Friendly and helpful staff. Well definitely be back.

Went in to buy a dishwasher the young man that was helping us was really helping us! He came right over asked if needed help. We were looking at a price match for Lowes and he was trying to help us distinguish the difference in the washers because they looked identical but the model numbers were different, as he was helping us his manger Robert yelled for him and he told he he didnt need to spend 15 minutes on a price check (he used cuss words I wont post on Google) our salesman was humiliated in front of us, you could see it on his face and hear it in his voice, he was a very nice young man. I called the store when we left to compliment our salesman and complain about his manager Robert, I asked for the store manager, guess who came to the phone? Robert! I went ahead and told him I didnt appreciate how he talked to his employee in front of us and that he was helping us. He said he would speak to his employee, Im pretty sure he wont apologize like he said he would. Im also positive that the corporate office will get a call. Ive read the other comments on here and customer service seems to be the biggest complaint, but it is Athens and being from Athens I can say coming across nice people is few and far between! We will NOT be back!

Its a huge store with lots of stuff. I did most of my Christmas shopping there and actually saved some money (thats always good). Id recommend people check it out.

Menards offers a home improvement shopping experience. Think Ikea meets Lowes. They create places for you to visualize your home improvement projects right in the store.During a global pandemic, this Menards is particularly great about enforcing mask wearing in their store.

What can I say its the right place with the right stuff at the best price ! They have it big enough its not crowded with to many people or to much stuff in one area ! So that great for people with anxiety and panic attacks caused buy people or crowded places! It also isnt to big to find what youre looking for they have amazing variety and hard to pass up deals there regularly priced items seem like a deal to me so the deals are just great ! Also for a big store the customer service was friendly and seemed pretty personable compared to other large store staffing ive come across i probably wont shop anywhere else for the home and hardware this is my 2nd choice only because im in Nelsonville and saving hardware is extremely close they are really like a second family as well the Friendlys staff ive ever met i have bad panic attacks and they never make me feel anxious and its usually not ever to crowded if your in Nelsonville and need a hardware store I recommend them for close buy convince but a good deal is not going to show up like you see at Menards ! Its a toss up for me but id just go were ever is more convenient and close buy unless the price cant be beat ! Then its worth a little drive to the next town ! But these 2 hardware stores are my only choice for hardware and home products! Best cat be beat and verity at Menard is so great but still easy to find

Not a great experience. No dogs allowed and we were on vacation. We didnt want to leave the dog in the car and we were stopped immediately. They used to let dogs in.

Best place in the whole town. Even when the town was without power they still allowed us to shop. The payment processor runs on a different generator so using my bank card was not an issue.

Thought they had a larger grocery section but the rest of the store was amazing ... New to the area so was a bunus

I walked through waiting for husband to meet me at the store nice store but when my husband arrived he was not allowed in the store he is unable to wear a mask and greeter said his business was not welcome there oh well the $1000. + we were planning to spend on remodeling will go somewhere else. Let me also say as he was refused you could look around and half the customers had the mask around their neck on their chin or hanging off 1 ear but I guess that is acceptable.
