Great place to buy most of your lumber. This place has cheap lumber. Cheaper than Lowes except for the plywood. The people are great to deal with.

I could not ask for better service and products. When dealing with people everyone has a bad day, fewer of these at Flanagan. Love to do business with them. Pam is an excellent resource and has always been extremely professional.

After a few mishaps trying to order doors for our house, Pam fixed us up! I had nine million questions and couldnt decide on a style for the front door, must less the rest of the house. However, after sitting down with her and going over my options she made the job super simple! Thanks again for all your patience and help!

First trip out here went well. Decent quality wood, but second trip about 25% of my lumber was unusable and the picker I was stuck with had a horrible attitude. Third trip I had the same guy, and the lumber was almost entirely bark. He said you get what I pick so I told him my business is going elsewhere. Best bet is to go somewhere like Ace and get quality materials.

I am building an 18 x 20 deck and was tipped off that their prices on lumber and deck blocks ( concrete piers) were cheaper than Lowes. Information was valid. Saving several hundred $ and living within city limits, delivery was free. More than pleased.

Not a good experience. I felt tolerated, not appreciated, like I interrupted their day. They delivered the wrong materials (wrong sizes, wrong colors). When I called to ask, they said they would accept returns if I brought the stuff back to the store. I rented a truck and took it all back. Then, Im told there is a 25 percent re-stock fee on all returns. Fine, I say, except that you sent me the wrong materials. Can you please waive the 25% return fee? No, we never do that, Flanagan says, We sent you exactly what you asked for. So I paid full price, plus an extra 25% plus the cost of a rental truck to haul the returns back to them--all for the privilege of doing buz with the Flanagan Bros. Also, they would not issue a refund in the store, I had to wait for it to come by check in the mail (which they did send promptly). Ive since purchased at Lowes in Athens and really enjoyed lower prices plus a much improved attitude.

Flanagan Lumber Company is a company whose time has past. They are apparently geared to doing business with a few contractors and absolutely have no interest in selling to homeowners. They are stubborn, self-serving, inflexible--often downright hostile to homeowner customers. They have a terrible return policy. In their minds, they or any of their employees never make mistakes. Flanagans is perfect. If a mistake was made, it was always the customers fault. If they deliver the wrong materials, and you haul it back to the store, they will charge you a 25 percent restocking fee to take it back. Makes Lowes and the Home Depot look look really good. When you complain, they will tell you that they have been around a long time and theyve always done it this way: the maxim of a company unwilling to change to serve their customers or the times. You cant continue in the past. The future will catch up with you. I avoid Flanagans at all costs.

Came in close to closing with big order forklift guy had @$$ on shoulders tried to talk to to management and owner and they didnt resolve the issue either they just want to sell us curled wood at #2 prices or charge us for 15% for getting straight wood

OK if you enjoy grumpy people who act like they have no interest in your business and if you never have to return anything. They need a remedial course in customer service. Take your lawyer with you if you ever need to return anything bought at Flanagans.
