We consider ourselves to be donut snobs… This place is a hidden gem! We stopped on our way to FL this year for vacation and had to make sure we stopped again on our way back home. The donuts are all amazing! We had glazed, chocolate iced glazed, blueberry, pumpkin and one that looked like a fritter. 4 dozen in all to be exact! They were all perfection. The price was awesome and the service was the best we had our whole trip! We will make this a permanent stop every year on our way to and from the beach for sure. If you are lucky enough to be in or near Athens, AL, do yourself a favor and support this incredible donut shop and it’s owners/staff!!! You will not regret it!

Me and my boyfriend ordered 2 ham egg & cheese croissants and 1 apple fritter. The guy charged us 9.52 which is the exact math for those 3 items plus tax.. the guy left the fritter out we came back to get the left out item & he claimed thats how much 2 croissants plus tax equals which is completely wrong. There is 9 cent tax on a dollar. The customer service needs evaluated because you can have a great business and make it terrible by your customer service. Very disappointed. To say the least we bought another fritter .... But dont think we will be returning.

Do yourself a favor and get the sour cream donut. It has a beautiful crust but was still soft and cakey in the middle, topped with the perfect amount of glaze.I don’t live in Athens, I was just passing through but I would go out of my way for these donuts.The customer service was also great, so that was a nice bonus! The person at the counter was friendly even though I was there as they were cleaning up to close. (I didn’t realize they were only open until 1 and rolled up at 12:40 looking for some sweet baked goods).

Quality alone is levels above Krispy Kreme, not to mention they are significantly cheaper and will gladly fill donuts to order with whatever you desire.. K May is a beautiful example that small local businesses can not only compete with corporations but can even offer higher quality products at lower prices at times.

This is the spot for doughnuts in the Athens, AL area. The doughnuts are super airy and delicious. They have breakfast sandwiches and kolaches as well. If you go in there be prepared to want to buy one of everything. Three things that make this place so awesome. The couple that own and run it, the fantastically amazing food, and the price. Walked out this morning with a dozen if blueberry cake doughnuts, 2 bags of doughnut holes, 2 kolaches, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel for $23. If you are in the are stop in and try them, you wont be disappointed.

This place has the best donuts and service around. Always have such a large variety, too. Last time I was there to get donuts, I was headed out of town to help my friends family move her things out of her apartment. It had been a long few weeks as she has been unresponsive in the hospital after an unexpected medical emergency. When I went to check out my dozen donuts, the woman working that day kept piling on free donuts she wanted me to try! And they were DEVOURED! I let everyone moving that day know...So if youre reading this, your act of kindness that day meant a lot to a lot of people who needed a little pick-me-up. Side note, a large donut chain we had tried the day before (closer to my friends apartment) was out of donuts?! Support local, yall!!!

Had there donuts 2 years ago and still think about them! No joke! The lady behind the counter was so nice she gave he a whole donut just to try out a flavor. We are headed that way this summer for vacation and the first thing my wife asked was, can we stop at the donut place on the way down. Cant wait to have again. The cashier told me she makes that donuts by hand every morning starting 2 am and when they are out they are out!

Super nice people & AWESOME donuts! Fresh! So fresh they feel like theyre melting in your mouth! Amazing food and their food score was 97! Totally satisfied with our donuts & we will DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN & AGAIN! I wish they stayed open later though. :)

Classic hole in the wall (see photo) but the donuts ARE tasty .I went at a non busy time Friday morning after 9am. So you have to decide, I would say try it at least once. The place just didnt look clean. Sorry, I used to be in pest control so Im very particular.I ordered glazed, chocolate glazed, cake and Boston Creme. ALL were good. And I luvvv a good donut and have the stomach to prove it!😄Needs to be cleaned up and a simple remodel. Invest the money back into the store.
