Did walk-in first time to go there... very nice stylist... a bit higher in price, but very outcome... I love it...

My son and I just visited the store and found out that the manager was Gwen she was super nice and super intelligent and knowledgeable. . Do you enjoy that. I will be shopping there again

Literally had three employees follow me and my roommate around like hawks then they refused to give me a bag like profile a little less next time yall

One of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I came in for one thing and wanted to keep looking for more but they made us feel so strange I just bought the one thing I needed and left. I almost just put down my stuff and left without purchasing anything at all. The lady with purple hair literally followed us around pretending to “look” at items near us, staring at us and listening to our conversation. Just in general made my brother and I feel very odd and unwelcome. Not sure if lurking over your customers is the best thing for business because it definitely discouraged my brother and I both from buying anything from this store. If I didn’t need the product I would’ve just waited and bought something similar somewhere else. I absolutely will not be returning to this store, which sucks because I like Sally’s usually

Dark hair lady is very pushy and is rude if you don’t like her suggestions. I refuse to even go in his location if she is there. Gwen Makes It a uncomfortable and tense shopping experience to put it as nice as possible. Definitely does NOT make you feel welcomed or even like a person unless you buy in to her pushy sales pitch. Who is upper management? I’d love to fill them in... worst customer service I’ve had in my lifetime. Will never return, and I’ve let my friends know so they can save the head ache of going there as well! That lady is NUTS save yourself a trip and buy online or travel to a different location. BE WARNED!!

Having had her own beauty salon, the store manager, Gwen, has both an extensive knowledge of the products offered and the ability to tailor then to a customers needs so that they get the best results at a fair price. She goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are taken care of and are satisfied with the service they receive from all the stores employees. She is a great asset to the business. Doing business there is a pleasure, not a chore.

I absolutely love going to my local Sally Beauty. The staff is always giving wonderful recommendations. Gwen is amazing she has always been great to me and helped me whenever I have questions. Hands down my favorite Sally Beauty!

Store manager Gwen is RUDE, FAKE, and will say anything to get a sale then trash talk you as soon as you walk out the door. Overbearing and pushy to say the least. Not real impressed at all by service or employees.I will never shop at this location again, horrible experience.

I have shopped at Sally Beauty stores in Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit, Arlington, VA, Cleveland and Athens, OH. In all, but one Sally Beauty store, the Athens, Ohio store, I did NOT feel as if I was just a dollar amount as opposed to a VIP and valued customer. The reason I felt like a VIP customer in the Athens Ohio Store was because of it’s Store Manager, Gwendolyn Torres. The moment I walked into the store, I was warmly greeted and treated as though I was the ONLY person in a very busy store. She is always exceptionally friendly, extremely professional, and her product recommendations are A+. To this day I can happily say that whenever I am in the area and Gwendolyn is working, I give her and Sally Beauty my business.Without hesitation I can highly recommend to future Sally Beauty clients who visit the Athens Ohio store to ask for Gwendolyn Torres’ assistance to help find beauty products that meet their needs.

The Athens, Oh Sally Beauty is unlike any Sally I have been in. The employees working there are kind, welcoming and incredibly helpful! Brandon always goes out of his way to make sure I’m finding everything that I need, and always offers suggestions for products while always feeling genuine and not like he’s trying to coerce me into buying things I don’t need. The Store manager, Gwen, is always so knowledgeable about products and actually takes the time to explain how things work rather than just pushing a sale. She clearly has strong leadership qualities as reflected by the employees who work for her! I strongly recommend anyone in the surrounding area travel to this Sally over any other!

I have been a frequent shopper at the Athens Sally’s beauty store and I have to say they are the best!! Kacie always points me in the right direction! She’s my go to associate, whenever I need a color or toner she’s spot on! The newer girl Victoria has been a great asset as well and she helped me pick out a great pedicure treatment for my girlfriend

This place is literally amazing! Every time I go in there I find extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist with anything I need! The store manager also has one of the highest degrees of professionalism that I have ever seen. 10/10 check this place out!

I usually dont write ratings. But I have to give a Big shout out to Cory and Tori for being incredibly helpful during my first trip to the new Athens OH store. Immediately I felt welcomed. They were outgoing but not to the point where conversation felt forced or unorganic. They both deserve promotions. Not only were they helpful they definitely expressed a great deal of cultural sensitivity to my unique hair and make up needs. I will definitely come back in the future.

I drove from Parkersburg, WV just to visit this new store, and it was so worth the 30 minute drive. I am African American and have found it is becoming more and more difficult to find ethnic hair care products in my local Sallys Beauty Supply stores...Or any stores for that matter. I am constantly being told that our community does not have enough diversity to warrant carrying such products and that I should just order it online. I like knowing that I can run to the store to grab a needed item and not have to wait 3-4 days for it to be delivered. And also have to pay shipping costs.Anyway, I couldnt have asked for better customer service when I walked through those doors. The 2 store clerks were very knowledgeable and helpful. They pointed me to their ethnic section and I was just blown away! They pretty much had every item I have ever wanted to try on my hair...and then some! I purchased exactly what I was looking for and also a couple items I didnt know existed. I am excited about this new Sallys and thankful to the powers that be who fought for the much needed ethnic products. Kudos to you!

The friendly service doesnt stop when you walk through these doors! As soon as you open the door with the million of questions about my beauty concerns I am instantly greeted by the amazing staff. Not only are they extremely friendly, but also so engaged and willing to help you no matter the question! I really appreciate that if and when they arent 100% positive (which is rare) they will ask the other employees their thoughts and views to guarantee that all my needs are met. The savings are ALWAYS outstanding as well. Cant wait to come back!

I have gone to the Sallys Beauty store in Athens, Ohio, a few times and the experience each time has been wonderful.Sometimes I have come in knowing what I want to do but I cannot quite find what might be best to use. The associates have delivered some of the best customer service I have experienced--theyve helped me find the right products I have been looking for. I once came in looking for purple shampoo for blonde hair but I did not remember what the brand was--the employees spent the time with me going over various bottles until they found the one I remembered seeing. They have even helped me find a product or two which I might have forgotten about until the moment I needed it!They have also helped me think of new ideas which would be better than what I was thinking about. A few weeks ago I walked in looking for shampoo and conditioner. I thought I would just go look for something basic. They suggested a wonderful White Tea Ginger shampoo and conditioner. They were even able to help me find it in larger bottles so I could use the shampoo and conditioner for a longer period of time instead of coming back to get more in a couple of weeks. Not only did they help me make the right decision but they helped me get the most for my money. Coming from me, thats a high compliment.Overall, the employees could not be more helpful, relatable, friendly, and easy to connect to. You feel supported regardless of how much, or sometimes in my case, how little knowledge you might have. I could not recommend Sallys more if I tried!

There are new employees that work there and are extremely rude compared to the other Sally’s I’ve been in. The lady with darkish hair stalks you like a hawk & felt very opinionated with what I was wanting to use on my hair. Not good for business. Thanks.

They have a trend of closing before the posted time. Very annoying, especially for people who do not live in town. Probably will not be shopping here again, I will be taking my business to another location.

Service was awesome both times Ive been in, staff is friendly and helpful. So excited to have a Sallys in the area, the only other places to buy hair product are Walmart, the drugstore, or salon, none of which have the great pricing, quality, and selection Sallys offers.
