Stopped in this place while working in Medford. It had an excellent selection of so many things. I really appreciated the variety. The cleanliness and quality products they carry there. The staff was friendly and helpful with anything I asked.It was a little on the upper end of price so that’s why only 4 stars. I got a bunch of charcuterie car snacks and it was around $76 I posted pics.It’s my understanding though that you can buy in and get some co-op member perks if you’re a local and shop there regularly. This probably makes the higher pricing not so bad.I will for sure stop back in anytime in town though. I liked this place quite a bit.

Absolute amazing quality, there hit + salad bar is amazing. I dont live in Ashland bit I drive through often and will always stop here. Customer service is excellent as well

One of the best. A fantastic salad bar, including hot options to box up and take out. Fantastic produce, great selection of staple ingredients, and a kind staff. Truly a role model for other co-ops. The parking is rough, with a thin lot and a one way street to the east. Walk, or go when its mellow, but please do yourself a favor and go.

Why is Patricia, the cashier, telling me how high on my nose to place my mask? Patricia was almost left with my groceries. Arent co-ops supposed to be about unity? This one has become the virtuous place.

One of the best co-ops I’ve ever shopped in. Ashland Food Co-op seems well-run and always has healthy, interesting food as well as a robust produce section and grocery standards.I also think the prices are good compared to similar places. When I pass through Ashland, I usually stop for a quick, healthy meal and to stock up on staples.

If you want the best produce in town, look no further- coops the place.. however, as one familiar with wholesale costs of herbs and suppliments, I can say plainly that the markup they have is criminal. if youre hemorrhaging money, go for it. otherwise, if youve medical needs in natural health, go anywhere else.

Hands down, in the top three coops in the country. ashland food coop is easy to navigate, always kept clean, full of fantastic employees, and carries only the freshest and highest quality food. lots of local food too — this is one of my favorite parts. hot food deli has amazing selection, many gluten free options, soups. i love this place.

A true Ashland, I-5, and dare I say Oregon institution. I cant really recall atime Ive been driving North or South on I-5 and havent made a stop at the Ashland Food Co-op. Their selection of hot foods and deli sandwiches cant be beat for those long road-trips, and they have an exceptional offering of produce and every day grocery needs. The vibe here is really the true essence of the granola spirit of the Northwest, but their selection is sophisticated and capable of serving basically any grocery shopping needs! Dont miss this PNW gem!

Great selection of fresh produce and a deli with coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and soups. It can get a bit crowded during peak hours and it seems like the adjustments to covid have been a challenge. No more outside seating or self serve soup and salad. Prices are high for Oregon but that is pretty typical for Ashland on the whole. They have this Mt Shasta water that comes in a glass bottle...best on the planet.

Forced us to wear a facemask instead of our face shield. We already don’t shop for our normal grocery shopping here due to inflated prices. Other “healthy options” stores seem to be able to offer affordable prices. We won’t be coming back. (Other stores are relaxing mask rule altogether, so this was particularly frustrating today.)

Im actually the one that keeps people from backing into each other in the parking lot. But all the people there have been great. The food inside is all top-notch a little more expensive but very good quality

Groceries awesome. Terribly unclean recipes in deli... veggies all way over cooked, over oily, too spiced without any sense to the combination.

The selection is interesting. The parking lot is better now that they have a parking lot guide. Checking out is impossible every time. Expect to spend at least 10 minutes in line even when its not busy.

We always buy their Smart Chicken (the best) and fresh carrot juice.

Horrible customer service at the door. We all have to be safe and wear masks but that doesnt mean you have to treat people with disrespect and anger if they are not aware of all your changing policies. I will not shop at a store where they harass you BEFORE you even get in. If you dont like your job, dont take it out on people trying to support local businesses.

Feel like spending 11 bucks a pound for cooked rice...this is the place to be ripped off...they lie...nothing is fresh/organic in the deli...frozen meat, canned food on hot bar...Ive made it...its a rip-off...

In all my life living here in Oregon, I have never visited this place. Came here with a friend and I was thoroughly impressed! Loved everything about this place and everything was reasonably priced. Will have to visit again when I am in the area!

Excellent community food store that values and respects their customers, employees and local purveyors.

Really good producer helpful ample staff, nicely placed products, good prepped food, wearing masks consistantly and demand customers do the same.

Love the food! Love the selection!The staff is amazing, helpful and cheery.However I have had many experiences at the coop where other customers were cursing up a storm and being so ungodly rude to the wonderful people working there and the manager or shift lead didnt do anything about it. With how hateful I’ve seen some people be, its surprising they weren’t escorted out. I work in customer service as well so I understand this struggle but nothing seems to be done. Its concerning as I dont feel safe or comfortable going back when I see other customers make bigoted comments to the undeserving staff and met with no consequences. As a LGBTQ person it makes me feel unsafe to go. If the ones in charge wont stand up for their own staff then why would they stand up for me?I truly hope the coop listens to their staff and watches their back because I’m sure they arent paid enough to endure such abuse.

Always have the things you are looking for in a grocery store plus a little more. The staff is very helpful and polite. Have never had a bad experience here.

This cooperation is like Whole Foods where its your whole paycheck. However it is the only local place I can get the female tonic Masala chai concentrate so I only go once or twice a year.

The checkout was great and the staff were wonderful. The rest of the store is far too crowded to support any kind of social distancing. There doesnt seem to be a limit on how many people are allowed in at once.There is little concern for safety.

Good prices, though the store is a bit of a maze with the current COVID restrictions. Great staff though, never hard to get help.

The very best place in the region to shop for groceries, but not the least expensive. Parking is really not quite the issue, but it is often tighter -- but a modicum of patience is all that is needed. Even if you are not a member, the feeling you likely to have at the co-op is family, hip, health, clean, positive, and yes, love.

It really depends here, so be careful with your selection and the time you get there...also if you’re a lowlander, bring cash rather than card.

Good standard of food quality

This store is very fun to visit because the often have samples. Also, the fruit always seems to taste better than when you buy it anywhere else. If you go to the back corner of the store there is a fun little souvenir section with some really cute things as well.

Biggest natural food store south of Eugene, so theres a great selection. Friendly staff. Good hot bar. Snooty rich customer quotient is rather high, so be prepared for that.

Ashland food co-op is one of the best food co-ops around. Certainly for Ashland, it is your best bet to find the organics and hard to find items that arent at Safeway. It can tend to be a little bit crowded on the busy days, and parking is almost always a hassle. But it is definitely worth it, the people are amazing, and everyone I know in Ashland loves the co-op. Best produce in town.

Foods fresh, the employees are super helpful. You can tell how much the community enjoys this place and Benefits from it being there . I got some stuff from the hot kitchen and stuff to cook at camp . It was all of great quality and fairly priced .

Outdoor line is long and inconvenient during rush times. Avoid if in a hurry.

I went there last night because everybody told me after 8:00 p.m. the stuff at the buffet is awesome and discounted. Well by 1:00 a.m. I was so violently ill from food poisoning and i still feel horrible.. Perhaps you probably shouldnt serve food thats been left out all day long, my entire party got violently ill from your gross buffet. Might wanna re think that one..

I love this place! Beautiful produce and unique foods. I always go to the co-op as soon as I get to Ashland to get some fresh fruit (especially fresh figs!) and snacks to have in my room. Good prices on the produce as well. Nice cheese selection too.

This place has everything you need if you are looking for a hot meal, a light snack, or just grocery shopping for the essentials. They carry all of the items that anyone needs to avoid all the destructive toxins found in all of the products you find at chain grocery stores. Plus, the produce is high quality and inexpensive.

I was just blown away from the moment I parked. Every little detail of this place is amazing from the selections and variety to the customer service. The prepared food bar offered delicious and fresh sandwiches with some of the best sprouts Ive ever tasted. The prices are super decent. I was even impressed that they made their own coupons. This is definitely a co-op like no other. Cant wait to visit again.

I love the fresh veggies and fruit and greens selection but honestly it’s way too overpriced. This place is for the rich retirees. Young people can not afford shipping here. Head to shop n kart instead! But the energy here is great. Love love the energy. You can tell People who work here are happy and treated well and that is a great thing to see in a store. I also love the cooking classes they offer and the selection is wonderful especially the ethnic classes

Ashland Co-op is the place to meet up with your friends if you are a local in Ashland. This is where most of us hang out. We are members of the Ashland Co-op and we shop here frequently. It has the largest selection of vegan, organic, gluten free food in the area and the prices are decent. You can get 10 percent off your favorite foods if you become a member and order one case of the product you wish. The atmosphere is very friendly and the cashiers all familiar. In the summer we spend many an hour sitting outside, listening to buskers and talking to our friends while enjoying the food. This is really the hub of where it is all happening.

If I could, I would give this place 3.5 stars.It would have earned my 4 stars if they had kept in some raw vegan food like they used to have.Sadly, its the same old story with this place.The same old hippies. The same over cooked steam and salad bar.The same people speaking about the same stuff even while no one really changes.A plus, was the nice local produce and there was a local raw foods company and quite a few vegan items.Customer service was friendly but not very well informed or educated on their menus.Ashland is a beautiful place, but the co op still needs more light, variety & better customers.
