Ive heard good things, and yet I called and left messages and no one ever returned my calls. I asked my husband to call, because I thought he might get a return call..so my husband called too, and outlined the work we wanted to have done on my older Subaru in a voice mail, but he also never heard back. Maybe they dont work on Subarus? I thought they worked on Subarus..but I dont know for sure because they never called back. Ive heard they do good work, but I cant say for myself.
Friendly, honest and reasonable. Glad we chose them for our car repair.
Love Siskiyou Import Services.... Mark is so helpful and terrific. Their work is always top notch and the pricing reasonable and appropriate!
They do not get their hands dirty is what the owner told me, went in to have the check engine light to go off once the repair that it said it needed was done. The engine lite went off for one day and they never fixed anything but charged $300 to get the check engine off. Took it to another mechanic and there was a reason the lite was on $2,000 worth of work they lost out on cuz, they do not get their hands dirty............AVOID this mechanic!
I took my daughters Audi in for a check engine light and the car needed several repairs. After the repairs were completed the vehicle ran great and the problems where rectified. A week later the the check engine light came on again. The problem ( not related to the previous repairs) took over as hour to diagnose and fix. They did this at no charge. I’ve been in the automotive industry for over 30 years and know this was an act of kindness and this is how a business gets repeat customer and a five star rating. Thank you 👍
I would highly recommend Siskiyou Auto Repair to other people! They did an engine diagnostic, a tune up and replaced a coil for one of the cylinders for my Hyundai....and did an excellent job. Mark Hill was also very helpful and knowledgeable, and am very grateful I took my car to this repair shop! :))
Super nice and trustworthy... only needed a quart of oil in my 335i. Thank you for the honest service!
Road Trip - Car Care Needed & Received!I was getting ready for an 8+ hour drive and my car was surging every time I turned on the AC. Mark and team quickly figured out the problem, fixed it - for a lot less money than I anticipated - and got me on my way. I safely arrived at my destination, with cool air blowing and no surge occur! Happy traveler indeed.
A friend recommended Siskiyou Import, and Im glad he did. The inspection was done quickly, and the details of each repair or check-up was itemized and priced separately, so I could choose whether to have all or just some of them done. The total charge was reasonable, and the whole job took less than three hours.
A good honest auto repair shop.
Ive been meaning to write this review for sometime, but wanted to give it some time for reflection and consideration. In September 2020, I brought my 2004 Audi S4 to have a front radiator replaced due to a leak. Mark, who I presume runs the shop, was extremely courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of the mechanic who performed the service. While it appears that the radiator was properly installed (I have hardly driven the vehicle as I am planning on selling it), I discovered on picking up the car that not only had they broken the brackets that attached the fog light covers, but there was a brand new dashboard light indicating a problem with the dynamic headlights. When I brought it to their attention, the solution for the fog light cover (that was hanging off) was to use zip-ties. I was told this was because the screws were old and broken, which was not true, as they are not screws at all. Most offensive to me; however, was that their mechanic attempted to blame me for the new dashboard light. First he said it was probably already lit up when I brought the car then they changed the story to say that the battery was old and the light came on because they had to jump it. When I informed them that the battery was only replaced 1 month prior and had less than 3 miles on it, they told me that because it had a date on it from a year earlier, it was still the problem and not their fault or issue. There was never an issue starting the car, so, clearly, they ran the new battery out by leaving on a light, etc.Disturbingly, the mechanic (wish I knew his name) was EXTREMELY rude to me. I was wearing a mask, not only because of Covid but due to heavy smoke in the valley, and he said something to the tune of, you better make sure you wear your mask so you dont get any more smoke in your head. Meanwhile, he apparently thought it fit to wear his mask under his nose as part of the Covid mandate. As a physician in the valley, I wont even comment on his mask wearing issue, but to question my integrity about the dash light or the battery after I spent $1500 on a radiator for a 16 year old car? Its unconscionable! I informed them that I would be bringing in the car to Daves Import Service in Medford where I have been getting service for the last 10 years. As was expected, Daves was very diplomatic and quickly fixed the issue. I was told about the fog light screw issue and they were able to clear and reset the codes for the dynamic lights (Siskiyou told me I would need to go to an Audi dealer to get any more help).I have since discovered that the daughter of one of our medical assistants also had a terrible experience here. I would suggest that if you actually have an import vehicle, you reconsider any thought of visiting this auto shop. Perhaps they are capable of fixing a simple issue on a domestic car, but their mechanic is clearly not only inept but unable to accept responsibility for his mistakes or lack of knowledge. To say nothing of how he speaks to customers. I told them that I would have been fine if they had just made things right, but to deny culpability, pass blame and then act like a bratty child was ridiculous and beyond unprofessional. In the end, Daves fixed the issue free of charge and spoke with the shop to let them know about their problem.I can honestly say, as I began, that Mark was pleasant to work with, but should have, in the end, worked to resolve this issue rather than trusting the lies and ineptitude of his mechanic. I hope that if you are reading this whole review, you avoid this auto repair shop at all costs and take your vehicle to Daves Import Service in Medford instead where things are done correctly and they take responsibility for any issues that may arise.
I am so appreciative of the advice that I receive from Jon and the staff at Siskiyou Imports when I need to maintain or repair my 2006 Toyota Avalon. They understand how important my car is to keeping my life, and my kids schedule, moving forward. The clear explanations that they give me have never felt pressured, and theyve always returned my car to me on time. Siskiyou Imports is a great asset to our community!
Great job replacing my headlamps!
Their maintenance service on my 2007 Mercedes convertible is always provided very competently and at a reasonable cost. And I have complete trust in Mark providing the service that is needed, but does not recommend service that is not needed yet. I have not hesitancy about recommending them to family and friends.
Willingness to accommodate -- stepping in quickly to get the job done, clear explanations.Very positive experience, as always. Good communication, friendly personnel, work started quickly and finished quickly, accurate estimates, fair charges.
My experience ha always been positive. They are efficient, personable, and very helpful. I mostly appreciate that they never try to create work that isnt truly necessary.
The guys at this place are beyond amazing! Customer service is clearly of utmost importance to them. What was destined to be a complete nightmare, was taken care of first thing and without a single problem. They were quick to work with my warranty company, one which the never worked with prior.. We are so grateful for both Mark and Matt.. Hats off to this Siskiyou Import Service.
After having a stressful time for weeks working with another garage, I came to Siskiyou Import Service looking for a second opinion. Mark is a courteous, genuine, professional who had my problem (an EVAP leak) solved in mere days and at a very reasonable rate. It is a releif to know such reliable assistance is just around the corner.
Im a new customer to Siskiyou auto and found them to be fair in their pricing, good communicators and very honest. Id gotten an estimate from the local VW dealership for twice the price that included unneeded repairs. Im new to the area and really glad to have found someone to look after my 89 VW Vanagon.
Siskiyou Imports does a great job, and their team is so friendly. I love the email reminders that help me to keep on schedule with my cars regular maintenance. I wish my doctor did that! They are really great at educating me about what needs to be done now to ensure my safety, and what can be planned for the future to ensure that I budget appropriately. Thanks for taking such great care of me and my car!
Bow and the team at Siskiyou Imports have been nothing but wonderful to me. Ive taken two cars there, even purchased a used car from there, and have felt that the service and attention were top notch at each visit. My dad is a mechanic as well, and Bow caught things in my car that HE didnt notice! Always willing to show you the cost of a part, always friendly, and a real asset to the community.
As always, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the work is done to a high standard.
They are conscientious, do the work right for a reasonable price, quickly. They noticed a burned out light. They dont sell things you dont need.
My daughter’s car overheated last week and as she is a college student in Ashland, I was not local to assist her. I called Siskiyou import services and talked to Mark. He was super friendly and their team diagnosed her issue. I found them to be very friendly, honest, and charged a very fair price for the services rendered. For a worried dad stuck three hours from their location; this meant a lot to me.
I was delighted with the work preformed. We werent quite sure what the procedure needed to be until the techs got into it. They determined what the problem was ... fixed it promptly and I was on my way. I will certainly use them again even though it means a drive from Grants Pass.
Mark and crew were really helpful and solved a electrical problem after returning from an off road desert adventure. This made the trip home safer. Thanks!
Was passing through when my 99 Audi began overheating on a Saturday night. Called, left a message, and they returned my call promptly Monday morning. Got the car in immediately upon arrival, even though their busy day had already started. A couple hours later, my temperature sensor is replaced, cooling system bled properly and Im on the road. Not only was there service good, but they charged less than estimated as the tech finished quicker than expected. All i can say is Thank You Thank You Thank You, A+++.
Dont get me wrong, the service was excellent, the work was fine, I never felt pressured by the staff, but they charge for repairs like a dealership. And I HATE dealerships. $50 in labor to replace a brake light? Really?
Ive recently started taking both of my Toyotas to Siskiyou Import Service, and the service has been thorough, prompt and fairly priced. I also appreciate that when particular items would have been expensive, they have offered alternatives that included the possibility of patronizing other businesses, particularly local ones. They have also been very accommodating and flexible when my schedule required it.
John one of the mechanics that I talk with their gave me very good info and easy to understand the work that needs done on my car hes a great guy to talk to you about car needs great mechanic thanks John
If you need an honest mechanic look no further. They are a great local resource and very knowledgeable and helpful.
I was so impressed with the patience and the additional suggestions and help I received. I love the integrity you find at Siskiyou Import Service.
Charged more than it should have cost and the work had to get redone before I got home. Better to go to the dealer.
These guys are really good! They diagnosed my Jetta TDI with having a clogged intake, and fixed it for me quickly. Now the Jetta can breath again. They seemed a little more expensive than a normal shop, but they do good work.
Great customer service. They were fast, efficient, and the price was very fair.
Bow and crew saved me a ton of money. Need I say more? Maybe not, but I will anyway.I have a 2000 Honda Accord. Its been a great car but had developed what seemed to be a transmission problem. The car lurched when changing gears. We took it to the dealer first and were told it needed a new transmission. Ugh!! I didnt feel that I wanted to put a new transmission in a 15 year old car so I was looking at getting a replacement and likely making payments again. I got the car home and parked it on the curb so I could think about my next move.In the meantime, my Subarus headlight burned out and I took it to Siskiyou Import Services. Ten minutes and $25 later I was on my way with the idea in mind to bring the Accord back for a second opinion.I did so and it wasnt long before I was taking a call from Siskiyou Import Services to tell me that they thought the transmission was okay. The problem was that the motor mounts were corroded and very loose. I guess it was a good thing the engine didnt drop out on the road!!Bottom line - for a whole lot less than I would have paid for either a new transmission or a new car, I drove my car home and it ran flawlessly.Ill never bring it back to the dealer again. I will only bring my cars to Siskiyou Import Services from now on. Theyve earned my loyalty and they deserve a chance to earn yours.Update 2015-12-19 - Next Accord issue solved by Bow and crew....we have had an intermittent problem with the car starting for several years. It will suddenly act as if its flooded and takes jumping through some hoops to get it started. Usually, it happened on hot days but this time was in the frigid cold of summer when my wife said it took five tries to start at work. We had taken it to the dealer on several occasions and spent hundreds of dollars adjusting valves, etc. This time, I took it to Siskiyou Import Services. They called to let me know they found a problem with a bad water temperature sensor that was telling the cars processor that it was minus 40 degrees outside and it was time to make the engine run rich...and it flooded it. They replaced the sensor for under $200 and it starts as if it was new. Thanks again guys!!!!
Always a pleasure to do work with Siskiyou. Fairly priced - knowledgeable and courteous.
Excellent customer service. I would recommend this place to everyone
My first service at this place, found them to be quick, efficient humble and honest. I will certainly be back!
Honest....Friendly....Fair. I really like these guys and would have them work on any of my cars!!!
When Ann and I arrived to pick up our serviced Camry, I mentioned to Jason I had just dented the rear plastic bumper on my new Toyota Rav 4. He went out to look at it and surprised me when he lay down to look beneath the dented area. He surprised me even more when he punched out the dent with his hand.Thats service. Thats caring.
My Prius stopped running on the road a few miles south of Ashland, and my call to roadside assistance got me a tow truck that took us to Siskiyou Import Service. Knowledgeable staff who just radiated a good feeling. Such nice service that i almost wish i lived in Ashland and could use them for my routine service.
I had my ignition lock cylinder fail, so I took it to Siskiyou Imports. This was my first visit to this business. I was told that it would cost around $680.00 to fix it, which included getting the new lock keyed to the existing keys. When the bill came it was $844.00. I was charged over $500 for the lock cylinder. You can get them on the internet for less than $200.00.Then I was told my front brakes were wore out and needed to be replaced and that it was going to cost $450 because he could not get aftermarket parts and also the rotors needed to be replaced. I did not have them work on the brakes. After I got the car back I took the vehicle to the brake guy that I have been working with for the last 12 years, and he said that the brakes did need to be replaced, then I watched him put a caliper on the rotor and he said that the rotors had very little wear on them and did NOT need to be replaced. This same guy had done the brake job on this car previously and had used Napa parts.....so its not true that you cant get aftermarket parts for this car (he charged me $215 for the previous brake job).I was also informed that I had a leaking strut and they all needed to be replaced. That was going to cost another $1100. Then there was the 90,000 mile service (which absolutely needs to be done) another $1800. These prices are extremely high.So how am I to feel about Siskiyou Imports? Well, I will not return to this business and will not recommend them to others.
I have an older Toyota Landcruiser (83 FJ60) that had a chronic problem with a front end shimmy and rear brake problem that a number of shops had been unable to solve. The folks at Siskyou solved both without a hitch! It’s great to be able to rely on real professionals!
Great service, very fast turn around and their 40 point inspection found things that my regular mechanic had missed. Ill be returning for sure.
Way over priced! will not work with you on prices and charges $50 a day to sit their. If you cant afford to pay that day then they charge you $50 a day! Thanks for screwing me!! You will never ever have our business again!
They know wassup for sure
Honest. Relaiable
Great service.
Very friendly guys. They charged about half what I was quoted for which was already 60 bucks cheaper than what the competitor quoted it for
