JCPenneys is great its having lots of sale and I bought quite a few things quite a few items love JCPenneys

Im so disappointed in this store. It is nothing like how it used to be. Although the staff is friendly, good luck finding a sales associate if you need help. There were only 2 registers open in the entire store. The sales floor was a disaster. The merchandise was scattered about the displays. Maybe that was so it looked like there was more stuff in the store. Actually there was very little selection. So very disappointing.

Shopping was Great !!# Hardly anyone their .Parking lot was dang neer Empty...cashier was very Friendly helped me get all MY coupons Bath rooms. Were Clean n well stocked ...only BAD !## was it was to.Hot in the store..

I love shopping at Pennys they usually have a good selection of clothes at a reasonable price. However on this visit there wasnt much left on the displays to choose from. Also the cashier was not aware of the posted discount, and needed to be reminded.

I was impressed with the selection on mens clothes. The prices were great.

They have limited entry and exit points and have sanitizer available, as well as reminders to distance. Employees are all masked. Found just what we wanted for back to school, great sales.

Drove an hour and a half to return some packages that I got on internet which kind of sucked LOL but when I got there the guy was very nice and gave me my money back for everything so I appreciate that. I dont appreciate having to drive an hour and a half though

This is a very well organized conveniently located penny store. I love the fact that it has also the back entrance which makes it easy if you need to run in and out. Services wonderful and sales are great as always!

I always find what I am looking for and more at JCPenney. The staff are always friendly and helpful!

Store and dressing rooms smell like urine. Low inventory and clothes cater to the elderly community.

The death of the department store. No stock, no sales associates. Very sad. My Uncle worked for JC Pennys for over 30 years in NYC & Texas (VP of Corporate Communications) & he would be disheartened to see what has happened to this once great store. Will not return.

The staff there are always so professional and kind and will take the time to help find someone with me...this one manager I believe her name was Jennifer is an awesome employee there..she goes above and beyond to help the guest the some in and shop...she looks and sounds like a hard worker who loves her job...she needs to be promoted the GM or something...look out for her she is on her way up the ladder...awesome job hiring her...

Poor selection of just about everything. Inventory was low. Many departments were messy.

I went in to return an item and was unable to return items or even exchange items at JCPenney, so I will never return for another visit this store again. Their customer service in store and over the phone was also really bad.

Brandy at JCP Asheville Mall made my shopping experience exceptional. During the shutdown I have gained weight and was trying to pick up several pairs of jeans to accommodate! I had total knee replacement and with my jacket, face mask, and purse, I was having a difficult time navigating the store. Brandy noticed I was struggling and brought me a buggy. She also gave me the totally awesome news that a dressing room was open to try clothing on! When I was ready to check out, I got in Brandys line. She explained how much I could save by opening JCP account which I did. During the past year it has been hard to find a clerk who was friendly much less go out of their way to make shopping experience fun again. Brandy is like a breathe of fresh air.

It was ok.The store wasnt packed at all when we went there. It actually looked very deserted almost as though they were closing down. They still had alot of stuff though. They had a few good sales going at the time and the cashier was kind enough to help us while checking out.

They have some nice stuff. Best part to me is Sephora has little spot at this one.

JC Penny has some of the highest prices Ive ever seen!You can tell they are falling out of the public spotlight.

So sad to see the barren store. It breaks my heart to see a store that I have shopped at for more than 45 years go down the tubes! Corporate should have stayed with what worked best and not have brought in so much emphasis on appliances and furniture. Home decor and apparel should have been the emphasis as it had been for years!! You were once a staple in Asheville even when you were located in downtown! Sad to see the demise of a great company!! Thanks for all the years of shopping pleasure. I hope you can pull it back together!! Best wishes and good luck!!!

My local JCPenney always has great deals and selection. People are helpful and friendly. Parking is a breeze.

Great sanitation and social distancing steps taken in this hair salon. I love my stylist, Tatiana. Sparse store staff but usual availability of merchandise. Use main entrance unless youre expected at the salon.

The store was not well stocked. Had not been to the mall in many months. Maybe in between seasons or just due to on- going pandemic? Sad.

Very nice, not crowded. The mall itself was not covid compliant. I will go back when covid is not an issue.

The store was uncomfortably warm temp wise and a small number of people there, both shoppers or cashiers. Very limited merchandise and lots of empty spaces where clothing once was. I expect to hear soon that its closing to be honest.

Its wonderful to go into a box store and speak with the representatives who are there to help you. I do order certain items online simply because I cant seem to find what Im looking for in stores and the store doesnt actually have it. I think its a shame thats so many of our small businesses are closing due to online ordering, so thank you for the experience I had just walking around looking at items as opposed to scrolling on a screen

JC Penny is a nice store for great bargains. I found the employees at this particular store to be very helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find wide widths on the womens shoe section! Go for it. Give them a visit.

Fix your escalator or least let people walk up them. Its been over 2 months since Ive noticed it so no telling how long its been broken.

Couldn’t find anyone to help me in clothing... luckily the jewelry lady was nice to look something up for me. Also there were no shopping carts available for my mother to use. She has back problems and couldn’t carry everything. This is not even a busy day to be here.

JCPenney used to be my go to store in California. The variety of products is not that great here in Asheville location. They have tried to improve the looks of the store especially the section for skin care products. The prices are not that competitive when it comes to the quality of the product. The men section needs attention especially pricing and quality. Belk store on the other hand has good pricing and quality.

Clean. Uncluttered aisles and floors. Clerk was very helpful in finding the type and size of shoes that I needed. Clerk was very nice.

Please dont put a man at the lingerie dept. He refused to ask over his handheld radio what the best support bra would be.He called for assistance and the wait was longer than I had available.

This store looks like its about to shut down. Still some good buys here if you can find what youre looking for. Also youll notice few employees now and even fewer registers to check out at.

Had to have emergency repair of hair color I put on myself they did a color correction at there salon for me they all helped out with the consult n I sent pics to Julie the manager n they discussed my best options.... they were all nice, got me in right away the nice ladies that work here really r a team, they hug there clients, n everybody is so sweet I would so work here if I could its a great environment the ppl r great thanx Sara for saving my hair its great yall r the best

I had an issue with some jewelry that wed bought at JC Penney - after speaking with the manager, she took amazing care of us! When you think Big Box stores - you think customer service is pretty non-existent. Im happy to say that THIS JC Penneys has an amazing store manager and customer service people! Theyve got my business for life!

JCPenny has the slowest shipping of any other company. I made a order a week ago tomorrow My order is not scheduled for delivery until Tuesday. There is no excuses for such slow shipping. I would advice everyone not to count on JCPenny for a timely shipment of your merchandise. If JCPenny wants to stay in business they should speed up their shipping .

Used to love to shop for curtains and draperies here. The staff was always helpful, and there was a great selection. Fast forward a couple of years later, and the place is a wasteland. Shelves unstocked, poor selection, no staf anywhere to be found. Ill never go back.

I like the fact that it has baskets to put your stuff in a nd push through store. Man that checked me out on second floor was very polite

Jcpenney has went down hill. They no longer have great selections and have half full racks everywhere. They have hardly any items. And all the registers are closed!

I went into Pennies today finally found what I went in for. Looked everywhere for a place to check out. Finally found the check out and no one was there. Waited 5min. Or more I started to walk off and met a person in the isle ask if he worked there and he said yes. Walked up to the check out and he walked off. Waited another 2or 3 min. And he never came back. I had to go down stairs finally found a check out that someone was working. Told the person who helped me what had happened. I will tell you if things dont change at the Asheville store it will be closed like the Hendersonville store is . Doug if I go back. Bad part is I have always shopped Pennies.
