Im a super edgy rebel so I obviously like...totally love this store. I can buy my 40$ super cool red jeans. I got a really rebellious sticker. Its flounder from the little mermade. Flounder is such a roll model to me and other emo kids because he broke the rules and played music in King Tridents kingdom and I just wanna play music in the library one day.

This is the best hot topic I have ever walked into! The store itself is much larger than any other Ive been in, the aisles are large enough to walk through without knocking over everything in your path. Merchandise is grouped intuitively, and fully displayed and clearly labeled - not the usual hunt and hope to find the items you are looking for. The staff was very pleasant and while keeping a watchful eye on customers, there was not the feeling of being spied on which makes shopping here a really pleasant experience.

I honestly have always liked hotopic.This one in the Asheville mall is pretty great just a bit small but it seems like they all are.Ive gotten so many things from here and have been happy every time.

Do you absolutely need to add another inch wide rubber bracelet to the strong collection of inch wide rubber bracelets already shielding your arms further from the sun? Well this Hot Topic has all of your needs and wants. All you could steal from your moms purse was $20? No problem! This location frequently holds specials, deals and blowouts! Sulk your way down to AVL Malls very own Hot Topic and make whatever questionable decisions that you want.

When I was a young boy, my father took me in to the city. And we went to hot topic while we were there. It was a pleasant experience. A+

I received some of the worst customer service I ever had from the manager at this store, Lindsey Phipps. She arbitrarily refused to refund me for a graphic t-shirt and sunglasses with no explanation other than we dont do refunds this close to Halloween. I was not informed that these products were nonrefundable when I bought them. The products I bought are not even listed as nonrefundable on the hot topic website or at any other hot topic location. When I called the store again for clarification, Lindsey Phipps was adamant, unresponsive, and highly unprofessional. She seemed to think I had used the products for a Halloween costume, but the tags were still on, I had the receipt, and the glasses were still in their case. How else could I prove that the products were not used? She even suggested that I come to the store again to talk instead. Why would I have wasted the drive since she still refused to refund? I suspect that she thought she could treat me poorly as a customer because Im also a student. For a store that supposedly caters to young people, its preposterous that they would have managers that act so unprofessionally towards student customers. I will not be shopping here again.

Its a cool place for pop culture retail, but they demand a lot of personal info for an account with them which you must have to return items. Not a problem for those who wont return items but this whole process feels invasive and slows down the line significantly.

Mitchell in customer service is great. We needed to order something and there were computer problems. He was persistent and patient, even though it took 20 minutes. As we were leaving, my daughter complimented one of the button pins he was wearing & he took it off and gave it to her for being so patient. It made her night!

Management needs to have additional maturity, training & be experienced in listening with analytical thought to consumers. Not everyone walking into your store is 18 years old, she could use some social skills, and manage her attitude.

The staff is cool. They have a lot of very different kinds of clothes and accessories here.

This used to be better in the early 2000s when it was filled with goth clothes and band merch, now they that they are trying to forfil pop culture references too its just plain crowded in there and WAY to expensive, I still enjoy looking around but I rarely buy anything.

I went in looking for some earrings and hoops. Lindsay assisted me and my friend to find what we needed but made us feel not worthy and just acted as if we where an inconvenience. I’m not sure what we did to make her treat us the way she did. I’d be curious to know what happened to her to make her so rude to us. Overall poor customer service.

Trendy clothing for teens and got me t day shipping for a special order

My latest visit was not at all pleasant. The staff was extremely rude and body jewelry was way overpriced. I wont be returning any time soon. Customer service is what keeps my business and they are failing miserably in that department.

Practically everything I own is from hot topic.

I used to be a very big fan of hot topic but recently as in earlier today I was falsely accused of stealing a pair of 10g tapers which dont even make sense given the fact my ears are stretched to 7/16. And not only did she call me a thief but a liar as well, she threatened me and she also banned me. Im very upset by the fact Im not allowed back in given the fact that I was not stealing and the fact that she had no proof I was stealing. Yes I am a teen and I may be a lot of things but I am not a liar or a thief and Im very offended that a lady that doesnt even know me feels like she has the right to call me a liar and a thief.

Its a great store. Its probably the closest emo/scene store to Waynesville.

The store is kind of small, but they have a lot in there, like anime shirts and band tees, and jewelry, and lots of Funko Pops. Because its so small, you might have to grind past another person if you are walking in the same aisle, so you might have difficulty getting a wheelchair in there.
