I brought my 30 year old German sedan needing TLC from many perspectives (create hands-free options, sound quality of 2021 not the 1990s, old body style requiring everything being run via hard wires). While other installers found excuses as to why the job couldnt or shouldnt be done, Kevin at Sonic Sound didnt hesitate in taking on the task. My old school car now has new school sound while respecting the aesthetics of its classic design. 5 stars isnt enough!!

Finally replaced my factory sound system after 15 years. Great experience at Sonic Sound. Henry gave me some options and went over all the costs up front. Dropped off my car and got it back after about 5 hours. Very well done. You could hardly tell any work was done in the car. Brian went over all the features and answered all my questions. I came to Sonic Sound to get some work done on a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I got a new head unit and full sound system installation done.. I worked with Kevin, and I could not recommend him and the Sonic Sound team enough. The work might as well be from the OEM. Clean & Professional installation. Shortly after the install I wanted a tweak to the system and he had absolutely NO hesitation to take care of it after the fact. If youre looking for a new system look no further.

I Had my 12 inch Type R Alpine sub with an Alpine Mono Amp installed at Sonic Sound. Went to sonic sound to get a qoute about installing a subwoofer and amp i had everything with me i just needed installation, well he qouted me 350$ without even asking what kind of car it was or take a look at the sub and amp then send my friend 2 days later he told him its 150$, i think they wanted to take advantage of me because im 19 and i looked young, it just didnt make sense at all

We had an intermittent problem with the sound getting to the speakers in our 2013 Mustang with a Shaker stereo with Sirius. After a few attempts to diagnose the issue they found it and were able to fix the problem(replacement radio unit) in the most economical way while listening to our request that the radio work exactly as it had before. Kevin and Henry are super nice, efficient, honest and fair. I would highly recommend.

I had such an easy time coming in to get service. I needed to program a new key fob to my alarm system that I didn’t even have installed at this place. The gentleman helped me within 30 minutes and was so pleasant to work with. The price was cheaper than a lot of other places as well especially considering this is an actual shop who gives you a tangible receipt. I will definitely come back if I need anything again

Had two cars tinted here after Audi replaced the first one they did. Amazing job, tint was filed right at the edges with absolutely no like. No bubbles or scratches either, and I was in and out in under 2 hours. Great service, one of the windows peeled and I didn’t notice until rolling the window down and they fixed the mistake no issues.

Kevin and his team installed a complete audio system and backup camera in my Porsche 911 convertible and I couldnt be happier. He is a true professional, is willing to work with you on various products, and stands behind his work. For example, after the subwoofer we agreed to broke during installation, he installed an upgraded speaker at no cost in order to get the job done on time. I went back several times in order to tune the system to my tastes and he always fit me in quickly. Thank you Kevin!

I had two after-market hands-free Bluetooth devices installed in my cars around 2010 by Sonic Sound. They continue to function well. On occasion when I have needed some tech support I called the owner, Kevin, who was immediately responsive despite the fact that the warranties had expired. He told me what to do to reboot the device. I did it, and the problem was solved.Sonic Sound has reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Kevin is friendly and helpful. I am pleased to recommend his company with enthusiasm.

Sonic Sound came highly recommended to me by my Lexus dealer, Pohanka Lexus, so if that doesnt already tell you something good, I dont know what does. I wanted to install a remote start for my 2012 Lexus, which was the last year my ES 350 came without remote start as an option, and Pohanka didnt have anybody who could install, because they did not make an OEM remote start for that model year. The second my car was no longer covered by its powertrain warranty, I high-tailed it over to Sonic Sound and ultimately so happy I did, because Kevin (owner) and his very skilled and professional crew did an excellent job ...such an awesome job I came back to them on a few more consecutive Saturdays to have more customizing work done to my car, and each time the work was done as good as, or better than I hoped! The remote start (I highly recommend getting it with Viper Smart Start with GPS) works great! Next I got my windows tinted to the maximum legal limit in VA (they will advise you what it is) and their work was very professional and well done. (Lifetime warranty for any bubbling, peeling or fading). Then, I replaced my OEM halogen fog lights with brighter LED bulbs (they sell a nice bulb set or you can bring your own). I got some other minor customization work done - just talk to Kevin about what they can and cannot do for your car. While most jobs take a few hours, and youll want to arrange to drop off and pick up, they have a nice clean shop, with leather couches and a TV if you wait. I cannot more highly recommend Sonic Sound for the customization services they offer!

The front staff are very nice and attentive, they helped me with all the info I needed. The rest of the team working in the back are also helpful and attentive. Sonic sound did a great job on my M3. I would give the craftsmanship a 4/5 since the tint did not go all the way to the edge, however the owner and workers are all very nice and they were able to squeeze me in last minute.

Super quick, friendly, funny, and professional guys! They were able to take me in with a virtually last minute appointment and -- though I came in a little earlier than scheduled -- they were able to get started on the job almost immediately and finished the job about an hour quicker than originally projected. I was searching for a good place in the area for tint removal and stumbled across Sonic Sound. After seeing the reviews I decide to schedule an appointment. They did not disappoint! Everyone there was very friendly. They went over my car with me in advance and even warned me of a brake light that was out that I hadnt even noticed. They also walked around the car with me once it was finished. They did a fantastic job of removing my tint that had been on the car for around 10 years. They got me in early and got the job done faster than originally promised. If Im in the market for another tint job in the future, they will be my choice!

I needed to get the blown speakers in my door replaced on very short notice before a road trip. I called around to a few places and looked around online for speakers. Everyone I talked to and everywhere online said my car was going to take 6.5 speakers, except the people at Sonic Sound, who told me they knew it would take 8 speakers, which is rare. I told a few other shops that it may take 8 speakers and no one else agreed. Luckily, I ended up going with Sonic Sound because of their professionalism and helpfulness. They had the speakers overnighted for me since they didnt have them in stock, and it turned out that they were correct and my car did indeed take 8 speakers. They installed the speakers the next day for me and they sound great! Henry and the other employees I met at Sonic Sound were fantastic and I will definitely recommend them to all of my friends.

The speakers in my 2007 were just busted and flappy, was time for new ones. The owner of the shop was happy to explain all my different options and helped me pick a good range. Install was around an hour which was faster than I had expected, especially with how many other customers were there. Having a million times better speakers, they are perfect, completely changed my commute. Highly recommend this shop.

I talked to several places about getting a new head unit and back up camera for my car, and Kevin at Sonic was by far the friendliest, most knowledgeable, and most responsive. Super honest too - I went in planning to buy new speakers as well, and Kevin suggested that I hold off on doing that until after I heard how it sounded with the new radio. He was right; the sound quality was much improved and I didnt need to spend the extra $$ on speakers I didnt need. Things like that give you confidence. I had the work done this week and it couldnt have gone better. Great quality work, good demo of the unit, and even better follow up after the sale. Sent in my 2 day old Jeep Cherokee for front tints. These guys were great! I dropped it off when they opened at 10 and I was driving home by 11:15. As other reviewers mentioned, they do a walk through your car to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. I tracked in some dirt when getting in and out of my car. They cleaned that up for me without asking. The owner, at least I think he is the owner, is very nice and skilled at his practice. I will turn to them for anything in the future as well as suggestions on future upgrades to my new Cherokee. Go to Sonic Sound, you will not regret it!

I called to get some information about getting work done to my car and the people that work here are rude and disrespectful not to mention OVER PRICED.

My car had its radio stolen and a lot of the console was ripped up, and Sonic Sound did an incredible job of making my car look like new with no hassle. They were very friendly, professional, and helpful, and were also amazingly fast. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is my 2nd time back at Sonic Sound. I called earlier in the day to make an appointment to get my new truck tinted. I was expecting to get an appointment for the following week but the guy on the phone asked, can you come in today at 6? Without a doubt I jumped on that and took that appointment.The first time I went to them was when I got my 2015 Santa Fe. Then I went back just yesterday for my 2018 Santa Fe Sport. I didnt spot it but the new truck has lighter windows in the back. When I said I wanted 20% the guy stated that the factory windows seemed lighter. He went back to measure it and sure enough, it was lighter. He said that over the years, the factory tint has gotten lighter on some trucks. So he recommended a percentage for the tint that would be similar to the back windows. I went with the basic tint. Even though I had an appointment at 6pm, they took the truck in earlier while I went to have dinner. By the time we got back (roughly 30min later), the truck was already done. They did an excellent job. Ill be back with my future cars and I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

This was a very good experience! Kevin was able to install a new radio in my old VW and sort out some other technical issues such as getting the original antenna working without needing to buy an expensive new unit. He was very thorough and took the time to explain and demonstrate how all the controls on the new radio operated. They did the project in the estimated time.10/10 would use again!

I recently visited Sonic Sound to get my windows tinted on my 2006 Scion xB. Overall the experience was one of the best I have had at a tint shop in a while. They were very polite, very friendly and priced competitively. Plus they have a lounge where I watched Sports Center while my windows were getting done. That deserves an extra star right there. The radio in my 2007 Honda Accord died. The dealer wanted $1900 to replace it! I went to Sonic Sound and got a better radio for 1/4 of that price. The service at Sonic Sound was great and the new installed radio works perfectly. I would recommend this place for your car audio needs.

They tinted my Charger in under 2 hours, and even welcomed me back to repair an imperfection in the film (factory issue not SS) and smoothed out bubbles that popped up after the initial installation. Great work and solid customer support!

Went in to do a window tint on a Scion tC. Called ahead to get some information and they let me know I could do it today. Went in 2 hours after calling and had my windows tinted. Took about 1 hour.The tint itself came out somewhat greenish, like a very small amount. I doesnt match the manufactures tint on the sunroof but thats okay.Very nice and professional. 4/5

Im surprised to see some of the lackluster reviews for this company. Ive never received anything less than stellar service from them. They installed my amplified Bazooka bass tube back in May of 2012 and everything went flawlessly. Professional install and great sound from the compact unit.I realized recently that the subwoofer had stopped working and called up Sonic Sound to have the problem diagnosed. They had me come in and they tested all the connections etc determining that the unit itself had failed. Unfortunately it was beyond the warranty period so they reccomended replacement of it. Because there wasnt any problem with the wiring they encouraged me to order the exact model and they would throw it in and tune it.Sure enough I ordered another one from Amazon (this time making sure to use my Platinum credit card for the extended warranty) and they installed it for it packing the old unit into the box. Both the diagnostic services AND the re-install of the new unit were COMPLETELY FREE. You cant find better customer service than that. They have certainly earned a customer for life in me. You should def. check them out!

I am not one to write negative reviews, but this place really earned it. I called with a question about replacing a rear view camera. I spoke with a female on Monday and she said she would call me back later that day or the following day. No call. On Thursday, I called again and left a message. It is now Tuesday of the following week and still nothing. In the end this is probably for the best. If this is the customer service they provide for a prospective customer, I cant imagine what would happen if there was an issue that needed to be dealt with.

Called Sonic Sound based on positive reviews here and on Yelp, spoke directly to Kevin (the owner) and told him what I was looking to do (upgrade the radio on a 12 year old car to get bluetooth and hands free capability). He immediately gave me a list of options in single and double DIN that would work for me and fit my budget. He was friendly and easy to work with and his guys knocked the job out in 2 hours.He has parking available behind the shop if the strip mall parking in front is overrun, just call ahead and hell take care of you. I definitely dont think he tried to oversell me on any equipment, and he worked with me on the price when I brought in research from online shopping. Would DEFINITELY send my friends there!

Im not sure why some reviews were so poor but I am more than satisfied by their customer service.I had some questions about speaker/radio upgrades for my new truck and they were very responsive and provided excellent feedback and additional information as well as a handful of price quotes on the different options I was looking at. Though I didnt make any purchases today I know I will be back once I decide which route Im going to take with my audio upgrade.I actually stopped in to try and get my front two windows tinted so they would match the rear factory tint. They were able to apply tint to my truck then and there. I was unhappy with the end result because I felt like it wasnt a close enough match. He explained to me difference in the facotry tint and the film they just applied and went ahead and removed the tint without a question and free of any charge.I ended up using another tint shop that used a different type of film and they promised it would end up a closer match. In the end the tint applied from the other shop cost a little more and still insnt as close of a match as I would like. I shouldve saved my time and a couple bucks and kept the tint from Sonic on.

18 months ago, I upgraded my the factory sound system at a different shop (in Falls Church), where I got hosed over big time (bad installation, bad sound, inflated price, slow service). To cite but one example, the Falls Church shop installed my amp so that it blocked the access port (for transporting long objects) in the back seat (their installation also made lowering the back seat for large packages damn difficult as well). There were other problems with this installation, but, I wont dwell on them here.Sonic listened to me and my needs, and worked out what was necessary to correct the first shops screw-ups. They carefully arranged the installation around a specialized item I usually carry in the trunk of my car, and also minimized the amount of space required by the new sound equipment, which I asked for. Sonic customized their installation so that, I have can get to a little-used access door in the trunk, should I need to get at it; very impressive, guys. Sonic closes early on Sunday, but, they stayed open late for me, so I could finish up watching the Redskins game, then collect my car.Its true, Goodwill is next door; they are very busy and and parking can be problematic (I even got loudly yelled at by Goodwill - AKA the Parking Police Nazis - for driving thru their parking lot; thanks guys, I love you too). However, I simply pulled into Sonics service area and Sonic took it from there.I spent $800 both at Falls Church, and at Sonic, for essentially the same work. Who am I going back to? Guess.

Kevin and his guys are great! I had them tint my car last year, and they even redid the sunroof due to an installation error at no charge. Yesterday, I had them install a full sound system in my Subaru which had a horrible system from the factory. I needed to keep my stock head unit, but they swapped out all the door and dash speakers, added a DSP and amp, and installed an 8 sub in the trunk. The difference is night and day! I can now hear all the highs, mids, and lows of the music I love as well as FEEL it. Even though it took longer than planned, I am very happy with the installation, and Kevin made sure to keep the price in my budget. I will definitely keep coming back with my cars and refer my friends and my family as well!

These guys are great. They know a ton about car electronics and do great installs. They worked on my van and replaced the factory unit with a new touchscreen radio/dvd/cd/media player. Have been enjoying it ever since. I am about to add a new unit to my wifes car and window tint and these guys are the ones I will use. Now if I could only get an appointment, this place is always super busy. :)

He emailed with me with possible fixes and ultimately fixed the problem when I noticed the subwoofer was not turning off when the engine was off. He did all of this for no cost--you dont find customer service like that very often.

They were able to accommodate my schedule, give me excellent product advice, installed my new radio quickly, and were happy to teach me the ins and outs after the install. Furthermore, the same service would have cost me thousands of dollars more had I elected to stick with the dealership!I cannot overstate how appreciative I am for Sonic Sounds customer service.
