Called ahead of going there to make sure they have a product on the shelf. The person on the phone put me on hold to check, and a few minutes later came back to confirm they have plenty in stock. So I drove over to the store, and when I got there I couldnt find the product. I asked an associate to help me find the product, and he told me that they dont have any in stock (that was 8 minutes after I made my phone call). Nice people, but quite incompetent.

Jeff and his team run this place with great customer care. Every staff member I have encountered has been knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The shop is well stocked for its size and is also quick to order and get you items that are not in current store inventory.

Convenient location and staff is very friendly. Not sure why but I can never find anything on my own there. I know my way around Home Depot and Lowes easily but here, I cant find anything. Staff is always available and happy to help though.

One of three great hardware stores in Arlington--Cherrydale and Bills True Value are the other two--Twins is more modern feeling than the other two. It has the widest selection of goods of the three stores and a lot of fun, not-really-hardware stuff. They also cut keys well. The staff is always friendly and fairly knowledgeable. Parking can be difficult.

Best service and staff I have ever experienced in a hardware store. Always have had luck in finding what I need in a pinch thanks to a helpful/friendly staff member. A true rarity in Arlington and more than just a hardware store chain.Been in the area for so long I forgot how normal people treat one another in stores/public... I walked in right before another couple...no one spoke to me as I walked in or asked if I was looking for something. I am African American...the couple that walked in after me was not black and as soon as they walked in they were greeted and asked if they were looking for something. I then walked to the section where I could find what I was looking for and the couple walked past me to the aisle next to me. Two other employees walked right by me without offering help and both employees asked the couple if they needed help. So at this point theyve been assisted 3 times and I havent even been acknowledged. I decided my money wasnt welcome in this establishment and went to leave. Another older white woman walked in as I was walking to the exit and she also was greeting and asked if she needed assistance. I am highly disappointed in the staff that was present and had I been a secret shopper they wouldve failed miserably

This location is the paragon of a good, old-fashioned friendly neighborhood store. Every visit to Twins ACE I am consistently greeted warmly by staff eager to help.On my latest visit I want to particular mention Derrick, Jeff, and especially Samyra. I needed sand but all I saw were 50lb bags, far too much for my purposes. I was resigned to thinking I had to add a stop to a craft store for a smaller size. On a whim I asked the cashier, Samyra, if there was any size smaller than 50lbs. She confidently strode straightaway to where the smaller bags are located. I was so relieved!I’m grateful that this is a store where staff are certain of where merchandise is located.

Nice store, helpful staff as always. Its small but they manage to pack a lot into the space. They validate parking for the lot located at 2001 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201 It shows up on google maps as colonial parking.

I like that someone greets you when you enter the door and offers to direct you to whatever you need. It saves me time rummaging around looking for what I want.

They have really friendly people working here . They’re on top of a hill with no parking, so walking to the store from my car was my much needed workout for the day. Thanks.

The staff in this store are always incredibly kind and quick to help. I was immediately greeted and told exactly where to find what I was looking for. Another employee helped me pick out the product that fit my needs the best. I dont always know what Im doing when it comes to buying supplies to fix up my home, but the staff at this store clearly do and seem eager to help. I would especially like to thank Billy for helping me even after he had completed his shift.

The manager went above and beyond. I rode one of them rent-a-scooters from crystal city all the way to clarendon (I dont recommend lol). Although the store had closed 7 minutes before I had arrived (Get a bird scooter theyre faster than that slow lime). The manager not only allowed me in to get the items I needed. He helped me pick them out.. just the customer service youd expect from a family owned hardware store.

In a world where Lowes and Home Depot have overrun the home improvement market, this store is the idyllic neighborhood hardware store. The staff is always friendly, and they can make great recommendations on how you can best complete your projects. I really appreciate their candor and transparency. Every time I have visited, I have felt like the staff is genuinely trying to help and they arent just trying to upsell me to my own detriment. When it comes to home improvement, its hard to not feel like everyone is trying to scare you into buying the biggest, most expensive item. At Twins, the staff make knowledgeable recommendations based on what I can actually accomplish, and what is best for the safety of me and my family. This service makes the frustration of street parking in Courthouse worth it.

If you havent discoved ACE Hardware, youve neglected yourself. Not only does ACE provide a strategic supply of consumer hardware goods, that VERY often surpasses a hardware home megaplex, their customer service is remarkable in knowledge of their stock, professional familiarity in craftsmanship and building things, but theyre readily-available and FRIENDLY. If ACE isnt your First Choice for hardware, projects or even great tools like Craftsman, youre short-changing yourself. Adjust your shopping priorities and start at an ACE Hardware.

This store combines everything you loved about neighborhood hardware stores of the past with the best of 21st century shops. Well stocked with wide inventory of standard hardware products as well as beautiful plants, small toys even refrigerator magnets. Their prices are comparable or lower than those in big box stores. Spotlessly clean before COvid & now all employees wears masks, maintain distance & have plexiglass panel at register. I wanted an item not in stock, they ordered at no additional cost to me& called when available 3 days later.But the best part of this store is the SERVICE. I have shopped there for almost 5 years & in every visit the employees are available to help you find the items in your list & actually listen to your questions. They are able to answer questions about which item best meets your needs or find someone who can whether it is lightbulbs or varnish. I always go out smiling after shopping there.

So I almost hesitated to write a review because, as your can see, Im just joining a chorus of praise. But its worth joining: this place is amazing. All the staff are as knowledgeable as they are kind. Every visit has been a 10/10. There is no local store I could possibly recommend more.

This is the quintessential local hardware store in spirit and service. I bought a bunch of ductwork for my condo and wasnt sure how much I would need. They let me return the unused ductwork - no questions asked. In and out in 5 minutes.

Cashier was very inconsiderate. The rest of the staff was very polite and helpful. They should try and save a spot for curbside pickup.

This place renewed my faith in hardware stores. I have dreaded going to HD & lowes in the past few years because the people that work there (with whom Ive interacted with) really left me wondering why they worked at the hardware store because they were not helpful and not useful in helping me find solutions. This ACE changed that for me. The worker i dealt with was great. He listened to my issue and then took me to the exact spot with all the stuff I needed and showed me all the options and then I picked the thing I needed. It was amazing and I am going back there today thats how satisfied I was with their service and selection. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Vicente was amazing! He sharpened my mower blades on a quick turnaround while I waited in store. Other hardware stores needed 5-7 days!?!? I was able to cut my newly seeded lawn with a sharp blade before it rained. Couldnt have done it without their awesome customer service.

Been in this store a few times, and most recent. Like it! Sales associates are always helpful! Met the manager recently and he was very helpful as well. It’s a nice change from the large home improvement stores that we are all accustomed to shopping at.

Great place helpful staff

Lyndon was super helpful when I needed a battery for my car keyless entry. No “check isle 8 (and don’t bother me like the big stores).” Lyndon let me change my key battery in the store, took care of the packaging and old battery, and gave me tips on how to open my key battery compartment. I went to the cash register with just my key with a new battery and the bar code from the packaging. Thanks Lyndon and Ace Hardware. Will definable return.

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks. As soon as you walk in, youre greeted and whisked away to the aisle that will best suit your needs. Reasonably priced nails (15 cents each).

Friendliest staff around! I had a defective product and they replaced it right away with no questions. They told me they would notify the manufacturer and also gave me helpful hints for the future. The reviews are true, the folks working here are the most helpful Ive ever encountered in a hardware store - I came in looking for a metal washer (1-1/4 screw size, its uh...not the most common) and while they didnt have the exact part I needed, they were able to work with me to give me a good workaround with a different set of parts that ended up working! Friendly and helpful, exactly what I needed today! 12/10, will drop in again.

I love this store and could easily spend hundreds of dollars in it, and Im not even that handy. As you enter the store, someone will greet you and immediately ask if you need help. They know where everything is so if you are short on time...you wont waste any time scouring the aisles. They also have a great houseplant selection.

Incredible customer service! What was maybe a 5 dollar transaction took an hour of the teams time but they were relentless in addressing our needs. Where do I begin? Having a hardware store you can walk to in a place like Courthouse is rare. This is one of my favorite stores. The staff is so kind and incredibly helpful. They certainly know what they are talking about. Turning my apartment into more of a home has been so helpful because of ACE and its team. Thank you all so much! One note: if you are driving to the store, plan ahead for street parking. Although, there is a parking garage right next door, but that may be just for residents of the apartment building.

Great friendly, knowledgeable staff, but they are taking advantage of people during the pandemic by price gouging on masks and disinfectants. For example they are charging $50 for a box of 50 disposable masks which you can buy today online for $10-$14.

We needed play sand for our son’s new small sand box. Home Depot and Lowe’s only had the dangerous kind (with silica) and we decided to try there. We called ahead and they had the sand waiting at the check out and helped us to load in the car! Amazing costumer service. Wow. They validate for parking if you spend $10.

I didn’t know about this Ace location for my first year living in Arlington. I used Amazon and the Home Depot in Seven Corners for all of my home improvement needs. Getting anything done around the house was a time consuming, frustrating, and generally expensive process.Discovering this Ace was a total game changer. It’s obviously not as big as a Lowe’s or Home Depot but it has 95%+ of what I need.Most impressive to me, though, is the staff. Every single associate working in this store is not only knowledgeable but also a total pleasure to work with. It couldn’t be a further cry from the big box home improvement stores where you can hardly find someone to help you (let alone find someone who is enthusiastic about doing so).One of the better chain stores in the Arlington area - couldn’t recommend more highly.

Friendly staff but they only validate if you spend over $20. We paid $4 to park to buy $4 pipe tape. Won’t be back.
