About 5 years ago, a friend recommended I try the shoe store as I had a hard time finding shoes that helped my specific needs. Been going there ever since. Professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable prices.

The shop replaced the footbeds and soles on my Arizona Birkenstocks in February 2020 for around $75 if I’m not mistaken. I didn’t start wearing my sandals until Spring this year. Towards the end of August 2020 the glue failed on both left and right sandals on the sides where the leather is glued to the cork. This shop has repaired my other Birks in the past and this is the first time this happened with me. Did you change the type of contact cement you use?

My dog chewed up my Birkenstock’s!! Thankfully these guys know what they’re doing and got them looking good as new! I’m so happy I didn’t have to buy a new pair!

This gentleman is a true craftsman ! He also offers a fair evaluation of the value of having your item repaired...or if it is beyond repair. He has also ordered leather for belts so that it is a solid belt ...nice quality for dress or for use in mens work ...so the key clip is secure! And he is a qualified Birkenstock repair representative! His work has kept my sandals in great shape....no need to purchase new sandals !! We have also purchased slippers and boots from him !! This business is a 10 + star business !!!

Waiting until the last minute to pull out the shoes for a party I have tomorrow I realized I needed a repair... brought them in at 10:30am and they had no problem rushing them for me and completing them by 3pm. Definitely would recommend Appleton cobbler to anyone who needs and work done in footwear. Great experience!!

I was able to not only keep the same pair of Clarks that I paid almost $200 for for 8 years, but John and Dan suggested insoles to make my every day life more comfortable. I now put them in multiple pair of shoes and will be back for more great craftmanship to keep my favorite shoes like new. Thank you both!

They are incredible to work with, so very helpful in finding the correct shoe for you. Plus, they are awesome at doing build ups for orthopedic reasons. Also, they do great repair work on shoes, purses, and so much more. They are hometown folk, that treat you like theyve known you all your life. Ive been going there for at least 15 yrs. I came here for the first time to bring two pairs of custom made boots I own to be resoled along with new plates installed. It took a week to perform the work. I didnt really take notice until after receiving my boots, but Im impressed with the quality of the repairs and materials used. Its refreshing that these boots which I had made overseas and use frequently were restored properly. I will surely come back here for future business!

I have lived with back pain for as long as I can remember and just recently found out one leg is shorter. I went to the Appleton Cobbler Shoppe where I had many questions answered and had a wedge added to the sole of my shoe. I have been standing straighter and have actually been pain free! I buy shoes for the vintage reproduction style but they arent always top quality as far as construction. No matter; they go to the shop and come out better. Ive had several pairs re-heeled and I will just keep taking them in for wear and tear. If you have shoes that arent easily replaceable this is your solution. The prices are very reasonable, too.

Timely work on some unusual athletic items such as adjusting shoes for powerlifting for squat and deadlift. Also repaired and adjusted my running shoes accounting for my unequal leg lengths. Very pleased.

My podiatrist recommended John and you will be hard pressed to find anyone anywhere that knows more about shoes and how to fit those shoes to your feet. You also get old time customer service. John and his son both know me by name when I walk in and really take the time to listen to what I am telling them. I had an issue where I bought some shoes from them but felt like my arches where still caving in. I mentioned it to John and in 5 minutes, he had created a custom pad to go into each show get my feet properly aligned, all at no charge. Just recently, a manufacturer discontinued the type of show I like to wear, so John reached out to me to let me know so if I wanted to buy some extras from their warehouse while they still had them I could. Long story short, if you have foot issues, you need to stop in. The shoes they sell are not the cheapest, but they are high quality and they know how to fit those shoes right. You will not be disappointed.
