I have never been to the store physically, but I have spent $100s of dollars on their online store. Let me tell you that these guys have all the options you could want and their customer support is fantastic. I have gotten all my stuff on time with no problems or damages, and the fact that they take preorders and hold it for you is fantastic.To go back to their customer support, I was $0.08 cents short of free shipping, so I reached out and asked if it was possible to get it because I was so close, I even said Ill round up the order if it makes things easier. All they did was give me a code that gave me the free shipping for being so close. I honestly didnt expect it cause a lot of the times stores are super greedy with your money. Not only did they do that, but their rewards program is great! If you spend a fair amount of money here, you get $10 off every now and then. Its not much, but combined with their frequent sales its really nice!Boardlandia is everything that game stores should strive to be. They dont overcharge you, they care about their customers, and their quality of care and service is remarkable. Youre doing yourself an active disservice by not giving them your business.

Stopped in to get a few games for the family. Staff member (Cody) was knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. Shop is well laid out, and while it doesnt have an enormous selection, it had a good amount of both established and newer games.

Slowest order fulfillment ever in modern times. They took four weeks to get my game sent out. It was meant to be a Christmas present, but not now for 2020. I would also add they are not upfront about their fulfillment problems either. Everything on their website made it look like Christmas orders are no problem. Sure I’d get emails stating we are doing our best, we had so many orders etc etc etc, but Boardlandia never once offered to cancel and refund when it became obvious it wasn’t going make it in time.

Boardlandia has amazing customer service! My husband and I ordered a expansion pack that we were having trouble tracking down. Not only did it arrive VERY quickly, due to the current world environment, I was also sent a personalized email giving me a heads up that they have been experiencing delays. That extra touch was lovely! The package arrived very quickly and was perfectly protected with no wasted packing materials! We will definitely be ordering from Boardlandia again in the future!

They were very frank and honest in their communication - not easy to get things shipped at this time of year especially with extra delays from Covid. Package arrived before Christmas which was nice, but their communication is the shining star here.

I am/was trying to complete my collection of Arkham Horror LCG. Stumbled upon Boardlandia. Had some of the items available to order when no one else did (at a reasonable price anyway).Placed an order but didn’t reach the free shipping threshold. Minutes later, spotted several more items I wanted. Placed another order but didn’t reach the free shipping threshold again. Quickly emailed Boardlandia to ask if it would be possible to combine the two orders. Didn’t expect much but thought it was worth a try. They were able to combine them and since the combination reached the free shipping threshold, they refunded both shipping charges. And did so in a very friendly manner! (Thanks again Amanda! :))Package was delivered yesterday. It was very well packed. Great first impression. Fantastic prices. Great service. Exceeded my expectations.It may have been a little slow going out their door, but the hard-to-find items still got to me before anyone else could have (without paying extreme prices).Recently decided to collect Marvel Champions LCG too. Only experience with their online store, great website and sales on games with competitive pricing especially on card games. $80 plus is free shiping but shipping fees are nominal at $5.99 for boxes and $3 for card packs. You can also ask them to hold an order at their warehouse until you accumlate $80 plus for free shipping, held an order for about 3 months no problem.Customer service is friendly usually reponds sometime day of. Also has a youtube channel that does a bunch of giveaways.

This is an amazing store and exceeded all my expectations! It was very clean, well organized, and smelled amazing. The staff were very friendly and didnt bother us while we browsed. The two used games we purchased were in amazing shape and were exactly as described. The new game we got was also perfect. The only thing I would change would be stocking more base games. There were a lot of expansions that looked interesting but the base games were not also available. I can completely understand that though as small shops have to be particular with the stock they carry. We will definitely be returning!

Boardlandia is a great board game shop, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and ample room to pull out a game from the extensive demo games shelves and try it out. They host events nightly, check their calendar for more info! If they dont have the game youre looking for, ask them to stock it!

It’s really awesome to have one game store within about an hour drive from me that is all about board games. Their store is clean and well lit, the staff is knowledgeable, there’s plenty of demo games to play, plenty of events, their Facebook communication is great, and their prices are better than amazon and the other huge online tabletop gaming juggernauts. I would definitely recommend ordering from/stopping in to Boardlandia!

I cant recommend this place enough. The owners really care about their customers—you can tell they have a heart for people. Ive had nothing but good experiences. Ive been coming here for years, and the prices are always competitive. With the new stores extra play space, the store as a whole is even better. Even on Facebook they continually keep you updated with whats going on, as far as conferences, new games, specials, game nights, what theyre doing at the store, etc. From my experiences the owners Tim and Carissa have been very hospitable— yes its a business and they want to keep their customers happy, but you can tell its more than that for them. And no, I didnt get paid for this review, I just love this store that much!

They are a shop truly for the board game community. If youre new to gaming they have tons of great entry level games, are always ready with excellent recommendations, and are willing to teach you. If youre a bit more experienced they have many of the lastest hard to find games at great prices. If not for sale they will often have a demo copy you can play. In the event they dont have a game in stock email them the game and they respond very quickly. I have yet to request a game they could not get me with in days or at the least pre-order for me. Their pricing is very competitive and worth every penny. If local to the fox valley stop in and check it out, I guarantee you will not leave without playing at least one game. If buying online I highly recommend making them your first stop before any other site.

I’ve always found the people to be helpful and friendly, even for someone like me without a lot of experience in similar stores. The selection seems great and there is a good amount of games for kids as well.I like to shop local when I can. I like to avoid being gouged on price. Boardlandia doesn’t make me decide between the two. Why buy my next Star Wars Armada expansion from Amazon when I can get the same price (or at least within $1 or $2 at worst) here? I’ve even gotten things cheaper there than I’ve found online on an occasion or two.

All of their prices are lower than MSRP, making them competitive with online gaming stores. Thats remarkable in itself. Yet the service is better than some of the other friendly local gaming stores in northeast Wisconsin. Theyre the best of both worlds.They host gaming events at local coffee shops, usually with promo giveaways and a slight discount on featured games.In recent months, Ive come to rely on them over Miniature Market, which still has the best prices overall. But much of Boardlandias stock is so close to MMs prices, if not equal, that I prefer feeding my money into the local business. Theres also something to be said for being able to order online and pick up in-store, or simply purchase off the shelf.

Staff are very friendly, environment is clean and cozy. Theyve always helped me find just what I needed, and ordered it if they didnt currently have it in stock. Also quick to respond to emailed or Facebookd questions.Theyve moved into a new location across the hall with much larger floorspace. They regularly run game nights at local coffee shops (Copper Rock and Fireside Café), check their Facebook page for upcoming events.Best part, their prices are routinely lower than Amazons or a big box store. Plus, they ship to anywhere in the continental US, but as a local they are my go-to board game shop.
