Have used Overhead Door of Appleton since moving into my condo in 2015. Always dependable, honest, responded quickly, advised me of cost (consistently reasonable), explained/showed me the problem each time. In the six years Ive lived here – and condos have been sold and bought – glancing out my front windows, I believe ODCofA has a fan club in our complex! Thank you, kind ODCofA people!! And youve done it all without billboards or TV commercials.

Overhead Door Company are what they say....Pro-Customer!! Today I was prepared to replace 2 garage openers & instead the techs (sorry I did not catch their names) solved my problem and saved me the expense!! I will be a Overhead Door loyal customer for life!! Thank you!!!

Brian responded quickly to our request and Jack was out the next day to look at our 60s original wooden garage door. He looked at all functions of the system, made some a djustments and replaced a broken hinge and talked about the maintenance and care moving forward. Very personable and professional. Overhead Door is highly recommended.

Our garage door broke on a Sunday, and it was beyond repair. I called Overhead Door Company Monday morning, and decided to go with a whole new door and opener. A sales rep came out that afternoon, and quoted us a price less than I was expecting. Wednesday morning it was installed. I couldnt believe how fast this whole experience went! And it was one guy installing it. 4 hours, he installed everything. I think his name was Andy. Very nice, and informative. Prompt and friendly service. I needed a sensor to be replaced and some basic maintenance of our garage door. The service man was able to repair the damage and put a new seal on it. He also lubed the entire garage door very well. He was friendly and informative and I will use him again for my next maintenance service. Hands down!

Installation was prompt and well done. However they quoted me $511 for everything whrn I specifically mentioned my tension spring broke in the phone call. They replace everything and then charge me a extra $245 because they didnt want to live up to there quote is why there getting a low rating.Per the response. If I specifically mentioned the tension spring breaking in the phone call why didnt I get the higher quote then? The main reason I called was for a broken tension spring.

Excellent service! Had a garage door with a bent tension spring bar. The technician was professional and friendly. He checked the other garage door and lubricated everything. I also thought the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

They showed up on time, calling ahead to give me an ETA. The cost was what was quoted. Shane (repair guy) was friendly and professional. He even pointed out a broken bracket on my garage door and replaced it at the cost of the part. I will definitely recommend them to others as they were recommended to me by my friends.

Josh came down to Oshkosh within 45 minutes of my call for help. Fixed the problem quickly and was very courteous and professional. He could have tried to sell me a new door because I was curious about whether my old door, which looks pretty bad, needs to be replaced in order to avoid future problems. He will get my business if I do decide to replace it in the future. I appreciate his honesty.

Ordered a screen garage door. Came the day before 4 th of July to install and ran into snags. Josh and Jacob stayed late to get the job done and we were able to enjoy our screen all holiday weekend. They were both amazing. They put off their holiday to make ours great. Can’t wait to get the colored garage door installed next week to complete the look. I know it will be amazing.

Had them install a garage door opener at my house. They came the next day to install! They did not run new wires for the garage door and where they tapped into old wires they left bare. I called next day and let them know that this had happened and they assured me that next time they were out that way they would have an installer come fix. its been 2.5 months and no response.

I called for an urgent door issue after hours, got Steve on the phone immediately. Nick came out to install a replacement door and opener. I had great service and the door works smoothly and quietly. Highly recommend this business!

As per a previous reviewer, this company does not bother to mention that they will charge you a fee just for coming over to discuss a problem even if it only takes 5 minutes and they provide no service.When I called, I was told someone would come out to look at the problem I had the next morning (garage door opens randomly). The guy showed up, I explained that our garage door would open randomly and that I had tried several things to fix it (disconnecting wires, resetting remotes, etc.) and he was at a loss and figured hes just reset the remotes again and said to let them know if it continues. I specifically broached the subject of a charge at this point given that he didnt do anything other than tell me to let them know if the issue continued after he did something Id already done and he said not to worry about it and if I called him back out theyd probably replace the opener or circuit board.I called the company when I received the bill and explained the situation and relayed what I was told by the service person. The lady I spoke with said shed talk to him and call me back. When she did, I was told that he would never say what he said to me and that I would be responsible for the bill but theyd come look at it again for free (why would I want the same guy that already lied about the conversation we had come and look at my problem again when he wasnt helpful the first time?)Ive worked with several handymen over the years and theyve all been up front about a service charge if they had one, and if they werent, they didnt charge one. I understand it does cost a company time to send a person out to look at a problem and diagnose it, but this service was no more useful than having an untrained friend or family member come over and shoot the breeze for 5 minutes.It seems so petty of a company to treat a customer this way over such a miniscule charge. Again, Id have been more understanding if the guy did anything more than greet me at the door, push a button on my garage opener, and then leave (and then lie about what he said to me).Ill be getting my garage door opener replaced by a different company.

I was blown away by the speedy service. I called at 10:30 AM and requested service for a broken spring on my garage door. I was surprised to hear that they could come out same day. He said the tech should arrive between 11:00 and 1:00. I thought Yeah right, 11:00 is only 1/2 hour The tech arrived early, was friendly and efficient and left with the job done at 11:30. That is only 1 hour from when I called. Great job OHD.

I live in rented apartment. My landlord engaged your firm to replace broken cable. One male worker had garage door working again under 20 minutes. Boy, was I impressed.

Had them replace a spring and should have adjusted the garage door before leaving. I took the techs word they did. Well they had to come back and adjust the door and figure out why the door clicked everytime it closed. First bill 185.00 and the second 95.00 should have been no charge since it wasnt done correctly the first time. Gave me a lousy 50 percent off second bill. Would not recommend them. These were not unrelated issues as they replied.

Id requested that our door be installed before the 4th of July. On June 30th it was installed by Nick. Nick was focused and never distracted - stayed on the job from start to finish. He was personable and thorough. The garage door looks great and we are very pleased! My husband said, if we had a business, wed hire him! - Tom and Sue

5/27/2017 Update: While the below story remains accurate, there is now more to add to it (in a good way!). In an effort to make this right, the owner of the company contacted me earlier this year to apologize and discuss what he could do to help. He had the collection account closed and the collection agency removed their entry from my credit report. Obviously, I wish this had never happened in the first place, but its great that the owner decided to step in and do something about it. Thank you! As such, Im changing this review to 3 stars.Original review follows:Atrocious customer relations. I called to ask them about a potential issue with my garage door. I was told that, since my home was on the way for an employee the following morning, someone would stop by to take a look. There was no discussion of a charge for this, neither implicitly nor explicitly. That person did stop by and was both courteous and helpful. However, he was only here for a few minutes and told me there was nothing they could do about the issue. Again, no discussion about a charge took place (though Id happily buy the guy lunch in exchange for the few minutes he spent). A month or so later, I received a bill for this experience and a threat to take it to collections. The office refused to offer any sort of compromise or attempt to acknowledge the oddness of this bill. While I thought a dialogue about it was still ongoing, they went ahead and sent it to a collection agency. Despicable.

I have used their services since we built our house in 1987. The one time their service guy screwed up, they promptly made corrections at no cost to me. This company goes the extra mile to take care of their customers. I would recommend them to everyone.

We have worked with this company for over 35 years (including today) they are very helpful and professional.
