I had some issues with customer service at the beginning but I found out that it was due to an employee who is not typically at the front working with customers. I became more understanding after that was explained to me and had a pleasant experience thereafter. The Reason I gave 4 stars was due to this, but overall I had a good experience and was not disappointed by the engine swap at all. The shop even let me store my engine temporarily until I was able to find someone to pick it up and transport it for me; which I was very grateful for. This place is a good shop, with quality auto care!

Had a Groupon, never used, mask mandate, appts 2 weeks out. Nope. Wasted Groupon.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would have. Staff was rude, place was dirty, had a headlight restoration done and they scratched up my head light, also did an alignment and they couldnt take for a test drive after because the mechanic, was 300+lbs and couldnt fit in my SUV. Wouldnt you have had the manager just sitting in the back do it then? Or, another mechanic? Ill be posting pictures as well as support for the claims Ive posted. Wouldnt ever go back. Tried a Groupon out and I now know why they are using them. My guess is they need the business.**Youre claiming in your response that I was happy?! How is that? You never allowed me to look at the vehicle prior to leaving! I had to sign off on the papers before you gave me the keys. As far as the headlamps go they were completely fogged over and I was told not to get them went for 24 hours and they did not. You are the only people that ever works on my headlights and so I never knew what to expect. I waited 48 hours and discovered the drivers side fully scratched up looking worse than when I brought it in. I do give you I told you you could not adjust the seat. However, you had multiple mechanics and employees it could have test driven my car. I even asked you that and I was told, nobody could do so. However, if there was a problem with the alignment I could bring it back in 7 days Thats fine. Nothing in regards to the headlight. NEVER. I didnt know what to expect since Id never had this service done. So, your feedback is UNTRUE. If you were surprised by my feedback or concerned went not contact me like I tried and failed to get a response from you.? Wow..If anyone reads the comments I think they can see by the pictures alone whos the honest comment here. I have no reason to lie or made something up. NONE. If want to resolve this and make it right please feel free to contact me and Ill bring my vehicle back and make sure you do show me that you replaced the plastic headlamp cover that you scratched up. However, at this point Im almost afraid that you would do damage to the vehicle That I did find later. The alignment was fine. My only claim was the truth and that was you couldnt find someone that could fit behind the steering wheel in order to test drive it. Truth! it didnt matter if it was the manager just sitting in the back, or a different mechanic. I was told literally by the guy behind the desk that there was no one that could take the time to test drive it that would fit behind the wheel. I think that says a lot. Please, I do encourage you to contact me and work it out. If that is done I would be more than happy to change my rating and Rave about my experience. Yet, that hasnt been done has it?

Ive visited this establishment several times. Service has always been very fast and affordable. Technicians explained the nature of problems to me with as much clarity as they could.

Got to my oil change early this morning at 7:45 thinking someone would be here to open up the business. My appointment was at 8am because it was the earliest available. I have a very busy schedule every day and it’s 8:24am and no one has even showed up to open the business! Very very disappointing!! I do not recommend this business for auto services!!!

Precision was the worst decision.$939.97 is in the invoice below of repairs completed, (Tuesday 9/21/20).Immediately as I drove out of precision auto parking lot- my car was driving worse than it did before I brought it in. Due to my work schedule and the shops hours I couldnt bring it back in until Thursday (9/24/20).When I brought my car back they told me An additional $700 in repairs from a strut spring breaking while they were tightening the front end of my vehicle during the repairs preformed on Tuesday. I cannot afford this! A mistake that was made by them should have been taken care of without a question. Now I am out $939.97, a car that is unsafe esp transporting my kids ( for this upcoming winter especially) ! Thanks a lot for this catastrophe that I cannot afford to fix! While we are in a pandemic, youd think there would be better service so businesses can stay open. Ive lost 2 parents from Covid-19, I am not even making ends meet, a single mother, and now I cant even drive to work to provide for my kids and the little life that I do have!

They were able to get me in on a Saturday on short notice. The car was due for an oil change and a new battery. Service was professional and courteous, and they took care of everything while I walked to some nearby shops in the neighborhood. No complaints, and I would go there again.

I have used them for years and through multiple manager changes. They have still been able to continue their high quality and service throughout and I am most thankful for it.

On 8/23/18, Precision Tune Auto Care replaced the engine in my car and I was issued a one year warranty. The mechanic told me to stop by if I had any issues. I brought my vehicle to Precision Tune Auto Care in Apple Valley on 9/27/2018. I explained to staff that they recently replaced the engine in my vehicle and that I was issued a one year warranty. I did not have a copy of the warranty and the staff person was unable to find it in the computer system. My check engine light had come on. The staff person stated they would take a look at it and give me a call. A mechanic called later to report the issue was the oxygen sensors and not the engine. They included a quote to replace the oxygen sensors, but I decided not to have the work done. I went to pick up my vehicle and they insisted I pay a diagnostic fee. I explained I had never agreed to that. I would not have left my car there if I thought I was going to be charged.

Im impressed. It was wonderful to. be treated so well. Nice to be taken home and made to feel important. Great prices. We sure want to bring our business here and will tell others!

I really like this place! After working as a mechanic, my Volvo XC90 started driving much more confidently. Im very happy. I also serve my old Dodge Grand Caravan in this place. Very polite and professional guys! All here !!!

Great place. They put in my starter for $200 labor and let me buy the part from whoever I wanted. The Dealer and other shops insisted I use their new parts and wanted $900 for the job. I saved close to $500 using Precision. The friend who told me about them highly recommended them and now I can see why!

Got an oil change here Saturday morning, with new wiper blades installed as well. Service was faster then a valvoline, and the staff were very friendly!

Had my timing belt done along with my two front sway bars. I dealt directly with Matt, the owner of the shop along with Mike the manager. They were very friendly with exceptional candor and got the job done right the first time! I am the kind of guy who uses the dealership for all my major repairs but I was referred by my girlfriend to try them out and I am not disappointed! If your the kind of person who pays the extra money for dealership service and piece of mind I recommend giving these guys a shot. It just might change your mind about small shops.

Whenever I want to have my car checked this is my go to place. They always take care of the problem or maintain my car. Guys are nice and always have some things to add to my car just because I do my service there. Great place and great people.

Happy to report top-notch, excellent service! We developed brake issues that needed addressed as soon as possible. They had us drop off the vehicle late Friday afternoon and had all the requested repairs done by 2 pm Saturday, even offering to pick us up & drop us off. We were very impressed with their prices, workmanship, & customer service. As of now, theve help us avoid new car payments awhile longer (since we were considering to driving to a dealership to trade it in). After recently moving to the area, were happy to have found a good, trust-worthy mechanic! Thanks!

I gave 3 stars because while the customer service is very good, Im not entirely sure they fixed my car. I went to this location about 2-3 weeks ago to get my front brakes/rotors and sway bar links replaced. I dropped my car off in the morning and was able to pick it up same day. However, my brakes still squeak like they did before, and my car is still making the same noise as before the sway bar links were replaced. Since its been too long to go back and have them look at it, I guess Im screwed. I just hope they replaced what was needed.

I find it really hard to believe all the 1 star rating on this site. I have taken all of my vehicles to Precision Tune over the last few years and I have never had any major issue. I have come to trust Matt and his team as they never try to pressure you with repairs. I cant count how many times my wife/daughter have come back from some other shop after a simple service such as an oil change or tire rotation with an itemized list of $700-1,500 worth of work that the other guys say should be done ASAP. I always send my work to Precision Tune where Matt and his team will be honest about what should be done now, what can wait and what really isnt a problem. Keep up the great work guys!UPDATE:Mike and his team still provide the highest quality professional honest work. I continue to take all of my vehicles into this shop for maintenance and repairs.

Been coming here to the self service wash no complaints. Until recently had the pleasure of meeting the manager very unprofessional and rude. Machine was taking my quarters but not adding them to the amount that was due. The man that helped me acted like I was trying to get over on the two dollar wash. Thanks for nothing and didn’t even have the decency to give me back the change I told him it took.How did you go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service when you were very rude during the situation. You never told me to use the credit card scanner you simply said I will not be coming out here again to help you if it happens again as you were walking away. Sorry for interrupting your day about the wash.

We have been going here since we moved to Apple Valley just over a year ago and they have always been honest. There have been numerous times that the dealership told my husband that he was due for a repair, and Precision found that we actually had about 30,000 miles before it was time to fix. This morning, I took my car in for an oil change and to diagnose a humming sound and Mike found that it was a wheel bearing and called the Honda dealership because he thought it would still be under warranty. It was, and he sent me there to have it fixed for free. He could have just fixed it and charged me (I wasnt sure what was covered under warranty), but he not only let me know it was something that should be under warranty, but called Honda to confirm that it was. They have always been honest and shown great integrity. I worry about car shops ripping me off because Im not a mechanic, but I dont have to worry here.

PTAC Apple Valley is a trustworthy and easy to work with shop. Matt (owner) is a great guy and they do not ever try to upsell or push something on you that you dont need. Its a good feeling to find a shop you can feel confident in.

Went in for an alignment. The night before, I did a full flush and bleed on the brakes on all 4 corners. Dropped it off about 6 miles later and they call to tell me I need a brake flush because the fluid is bad. SCAM! the bleeders were still marked up from the flush and I even spilled around the reservoir...you could CLEARLY tell the fluid was just changed and it was clear as day.

I went to get an oil change. Even though I didnt have an appointment, they let me in and got my service completed in a timely manner. They are trustworthy and friendly.

Called in at 8AM today and made an appointment for Noon. I brought my car in a little bit early and parked it, went in, and then dropped off my keys. I was bringing it in to simply have my brakes replaced as they were (and still currently are) making weird noises. After I left I got a call about 3 hours later saying that they were not going to be able to do the work on my car because they were behind. When I went in to pick it up my car was in the exact same spot and looked completely undisturbed as if they had not even brought it into the garage. The gentleman there said the same thing to me in person as in the voice mail that was left. We are behind today. He offered me an appointment time on Monday or the next weekend which also proved the car never moved because had he gone out to it he would have seen the Wisconsin license plate. I declined both offers because if they couldnt keep the appointment the first time, so Im not going to waste my time AGAIN by making another appointment and risking that they wont have the time to do it. I will not be back to this place ever again.

It was a Friday afternoon and my wifes car (04 Taurus) overheated and spilled coolant all over when she parked. I had taken my vehicle to this shop before since it was close to where I live. They said they could fit it in on Saturday. We brought it in and they called and said that it was a clamp at the bottom of the water pump. $53. My wife picked it up and took our 1 yr old and was going to visit family in WI. The car overheated and did the same thing in Woodbury 30 minutes away. My wife called the shop and they said not to worry they would have it towed back to the shop. She asked how much the tow would be and they said they would take care of it. I got a call that the car was done on the next Wednesday. I stopped on my way home to pay for it. They had to clean out some debris and change the thermostat. $323. I got home and to my surprise there was a $100 tow charge on the bill! I have AAA coverage thats why my wife asked how much the tow would cost us! When I called they said it wasnt their fault since we hadnt specified the problem, so we had to pay for it. Im not a mechanic if i knew the problem I wouldve fixed it myself! Low and behold the very next day it does the exact same thing! She calls them again because at this point we just want them to fix what they have screwed up and overcharged us for. My wife talked to a mechanic friend of hers and he said it could be the radiator cap. She brought it in to Precision tune and they put a $10 radiator cap on and it has worked perfect. $375 dollars later they graciously said they would cover the price of the radiator cap. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. They are unprofessional and dont care about repeat customers. Cars are expensive enough to maintain but then to have someone take you for as much as they can is just wrong.

I went there to get full Synthetic oil change. I was told that it will be two to three hours before they can service my car. I agreed. I told him that I will catch an Uber you think it will be ready on time when I came back? he said it will be ready. I left the car with them at 9:00 am, I got back at 1:15. when I got back, he told my car was not ready yet. When I Questioned him that it’s more than three hours, he said to me with very angry voice take your car somewhere else. I told him that you redeemed my Groupon coupon, how am I gonna get my money? He said he will reimburse me the money. I said ok and then he was like I cannot do that either. Take your car one of our the shops and threw the keys at me.I tried to speak, but he said that there’s no talking here, take your car and I am the manager like he can do whatever he wants. That was the worst experience I ever dealt with as customer. I won’t advise anyone to go that shop in Apple Valley. Stay away. Especially if you bought your Coupon from Groupon. I dealt with him in very respecting way, because I figured that is who is towards people with color and minorities, but my money matters and you won’t ever get money again or someone that I know. Words of mouth also matters.
