I have been waiting anxiously for a week to get this done only to be told the day before that my support cannot be in the room with me. I specifically asked during scheduling if my support and I could be booked with the same wax specialist and also be in the same room together. I was told that we could be seen together and the scheduler said that she just had to let the wax specialist Diana know. To give a brief history without being graffic. I have had traumatic experiences with men and women before, during and after the military. I explained this to the manager Ivania. She claimed to understand and spoke to Diana only to come back and tell me that this time she will accommodate me but next time I cant have anyone in the room. Im sorry but thats not how trauma works. I even explained that I would have to build up a comfort with Diana or any wax specialist before I can do it on my own. I also mention that there was a possibility that I may never be able to do it on my own. I am just very disappointed that policy doesnt allow any services for people in my situation. I think that its pointless to get a wax one time with my support if I cant come back regularly if and when I need to due to my special needs.

Poor attitude, like you are a hassle to them as a customer. Learn to appreciate your customers and be respectful of their time and business. I won’t be back and don’t bother to contact me.

This was my first visit to EWC!!! The front staff employee was pushy and board line rude. They called me to tell me that the technician was running behind and then called me again to ask where am I at my reschedule time as I was walking to the door. After arriving I then had to wait 25 more minutes to be seen. The business model is run based on 13 minute appointment. I felt like it was a factory with no relationship building with you technician. The technician was ok but I wont go back. They have high pressure sales to buy packages for their services.

I had an appointment with Raythia yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. She has a glowing personality and was a pleasure to meet with. The staff at the front desk was so polite and friendly. Hands down the best waxing experience Ive ever had! Purchasing a membership plan was a no brainer and I look forward to going back next month.

I AM a long time user of EWC in multiple states. It is convenient especially if you travel a lot. I find this particular centre to be the most accommodating because of the personnel. I have been getting waxed using RAYTHIA for a very long time infant since she began. She is the most honest, upfront and thorough wax professional I have known and I know what I am saying because I have gotten waxed in almost every continent since I was 11 which was 22 years ago!She makes sure she gets all the hair and will communicate any issues right there and then if there is any trouble removing hair.I have never found hair after being waxed by her because she is that thorough. I find her to be a great conscientious employee which EWC should take care of as businesss are made or broke by employees.Even during the pandemic, through everything even servicing pregnant people such as I HER COMPASSION shines on and she solicits you for nothing hence it took me eons to write this absolutely well deserved review.I am hoping the admin at EWC is paying close attention as we spend especially in my case 1000s of dollars on full body wax passes. Please keep up the good work and retain your excellent employees!

I came in on Saturday (12/5) for my first Brazilian wax ever and I was super nervous. When I walked in the manager Christine was kind and courteous when greeting me. My waxer Francesca was amazing. She talked me through the entire appointment, and she was very gentle and it was a great experience. The other employees treated me with kindness and respect. I will keep going back!

Great visit! This was my first time at a EWC. I no longer live near the salon I used to visit for waxing, so I had to try somewhere new - and I’m so glad I did! My appointment was with Bianca, and I let her know ahead of time that my skin is very sensitive, and would appreciate some extra gentleness. She was fantastic, friendly, accommodating, gentle, and fast! I was in & out in less than 15 minutes for a full Brazilian wax. The front desk associate was also very friendly & informed me about their package offerings (but wasn’t pushy at all). Overall, super happy that I came to this EWC and will certainly be back!

So far all the wax specialists I had are super nice and accommodating. As for the front desk staff, sometimes it sounds like they have an attitude when they answer the phone.

Just got my first Brazilian wax yesterday with European Wax Center and had a great experience. I was beyond nervous as I heard the 1st time is very painful but April made my experience as comfortable and painless as she could. She is very knowledgeable and made sure I understood how to create a routine of care after my wax. Im so grateful to have hadher for my first wax. She was very caring and understanding as I know seeing many people can sometimes make one lose their sensitivity. Im officially a waxer!

I would not recommend this business to anyone I know!! I have been to this business 10+ times but never I have had a worse waxing experience. European Wax will never have my business again. I went in to get my eyebrows done and the woman ended up getting wax into my hair. She proceeded to cut out a chunk of my hair without even asking me for permission. Then when I finally realized what happened, I asked her to stop and she said you wont even notice and blamed the wax getting into my hair on me. She never asked me to push my hair back or anything. I just cannot even believe she cut my hair. I could have gotten the wax out of my hair myself.

First time at this location. Morgan was awesome. Super friendly and fast. The receptionist was great and professional. Enjoyed myself and will be back as a gift to myself monthly! Thank you Morgan!

The service was okay but as soon as my hair from the vikini area and underarms started to grow I had a terrible irritation, which is weird because o be doing wax before in a different place and It never happen before

Got a wax and my skin is so irritated and getting bumps!! This had never happened before. I got my wax over 24 hours ago and my skin is still raw and irritated!

. I have been coming here for over 2 yrs. I have seenSarah and April . They ARE no longer here. I tried someone new. It was very painful. It even hurt when she APPLIED the wax!!! She was rough and scraped down as she applied the wax. This was first time I felt pain just from wax application. I have had at least 20 Brazilians..this never happened before.She took off very large section of hair and also removed skin!!!! I bled through my clothes 😩 😫 Im very sore and have open wounds in a sensitive Area!!!!I liked this place before...it is clean and staff seems nice!!! I just dont recommend this waxer!!!!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I went the EWC in Rockville and reconnect with APRIL there (she’s Awesome). Making appointments is a breeze, the associates there are friendly. I typically schedule my appointments on Sundays, I’m coming from the Bowie area which is a 25-30mins drive (worth it) roads are clear. I’m happy to have found my New EWC RockVille family. Clean, Professional, & Friendly.

I understand during these trying times that this can be difficult. But, I was turned away because they asked if I have been out of the state within last 30 days. I said, yes. Well, when I booked my appt they never said that was a requirement. I then said this was not lock down Larry’s law. She said it was European wax rule. If so, it should be asked when booking. I live across state lines 45 min away and was told no. Because I reside in a different state. Utter bull!! This needs to be addressed while booking is going to extremes! I will not be returning!

Used to travel 40 minutes out of my way to come here but they seem to have a retention problem especially with their best wax professionals (my 3rd waxer who left in the last 8 months). But I found April!!! She’s over at the Rockville location but I have no worries going there because she’s the BESTTTT!!!! Will be going to Rockville from now on

I’ve been coming here for a very long time and usually I’m always satisfied but today was not the case. I felt rushed. I’ve been getting waxed long enough to know you have to let the wax dry before you rip. After applying she waited about 1/2 secs to rip it. Didn’t fan it or anything. The wax of course ripped halfway through making it more painful. It was blamed on my hair follicles. I’m not saying it’s not possible but as long as I have been coming here I’ve never had a problem. Once we were finished she didn’t even look over to see if I needed to be cleaned up. I went home and found multiple visible hairs along my bikini line. Never have I gotten a wax and then had to go home and shave to clean up what they missed. Highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend her.

I had Molly as my waxer for the first time && she is awesome! Amiya used to be my usual waxer but she is no longer there. Its quite alright as Molly is my new fave!!

I love European wax center... I love getting in and out. A Brazilian takes as little as 15 minutes! Ive seen a couple technicians at this location and have been very pleased. As a cosmetologist sanitation is super important to me, and its always clean from the restroom, to the reception, to the service rooms.

First time going to the European wax center and I’m never going anywhere else. Everyone was so kind. Megan did amazing on my eyebrows cause they were just horrible. I definitely would recommend Megan!!

I was sooo nervous to get waxed. The last time I was here for a wax my experience was not the best. It was sooo painful that I waited 5 years to try again. Lol. This time the lady who waxed me was named Ray!! She was incredible!! She made it less painful for me fast and applied pressure after. Ray made my experience soooo much better. Will be going to her next time for sure.

I called to schedule an appointment on my break and Nalah (hope I spelled your name correctly)took the call. I asked for their first available appointment and it was at the end of my work day. I then explained that I used to go to another EWC close to my home and that the waxer never listened to what I wanted and just did whatever she wanted, so I never went back to EWC. Nalah immediately asked if I could be there in an hour because she was going to schedule me with one of their waxer’s who was very good with listening to clients needs. I hope the waxer is as good as the scheduler - I will have a permanent new wax place🤞

I have been a long time customer of European Wax Center. Every time I find a good waxer-they leave. I like consistency and am very picky when it comes to my waxer preferences. I was a longtime client of Kenya from Pikesville & Sarah from Annapolis who are both sadly no longer with the company.I had to pick a new waxer & went with Molly. Molly was very friendly, professional, and thorough. I was so ecstatic! Molly made me feel comfortable during my Brazilian & Underarm waxes. She asked for permission before she plucked any stray hairs & was extremely cleanly and organized. I felt safe and valued during my session with Molly. I highly recommend Molly & will continue to get my waxes from her.

I am literally in the parking lot reviewing them because I did not want to forget names. The online reservation system was very easy. I walked in and Nialah greeted me and came around from the desk, stood next to me and talked me through EVERYTHING! Who does that, who walks around from behind the desk? So personal! Then April was my wax specialist, she was SO NICE! This was my first wax in awhile and she explained everything and did so in a very patient manner. I am not a girly girl so words like exfoliating etc are not in my regular vocabulary. I told her she needed to come to my house and teach me! April, START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL! Cant wait to be back in 2 weeks!

Great place to get your waxing on. Found out about this place from a friend this past summer and i went in for a bikini wax. I just wanted to say its worth it. The customer service staff are friendly and answers every questions you may have and the wax specialists are very professional as well. You definitely will feel comfortable being there. Try it sometime and you wont regret it.

This was my first time at EWC and I would definitely return. I had my eyebrows waxed and was very nervous they would come out skinny and fake looking. I was pleasantly surprised and they looked great. Erin was very good about explaining the process and while she did recommend a product she was not at all pushy when I decided against it. The front desk staff was great and the overall experience will have me going back.

I just love my visits to the wax center! The staff is always welcoming. Ive been coming here for about a year now and not once have they disappointed. Especially my Wax Tech Casey. She is freaking awesome! The Annapolis location is a must.

Casey is the best! She walks you through everything & talks to you while she is doing the waxing so its not awkward. I go to her faithfully, even when she got moved to Columbia because Annapolis got fire damage. I absolutely recommend her to anyone who wants someone they can trust & feel comfortable with. I received a call advising my tech had a death in the family and I would have to call them to reschedule my appointment. I still have the voicemail saved. When it came time for my appointment the receptionist called and told me I missed it. I told her received a call I would have to reschedule and she rudely told me it’s still considered a missed appointment because I didn’t call and cancel. YOU LEFT ME A VOICEMAIL STATING I WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE. I will never be back.

I have been a customer here for years. Many changes with techs, I’ve had mediocre, good and bad. For the past few months, April has been my Tech. She is beyond amazing. I can say she exceeds any others that I’ve had. She is very professional and she answers any questions regarding skin care. Take my advice and book April. She is a 10+!!!

I went here for my first Brazilian wax ever. It was also my first time at The European Wax Center. The place itself is nice. Very clean. However, I hadnt even had a wax before the receptionist was pressuring me into buying a package for future waxing. After my wax, which was painful, I was very raw and red on the left side. The entire time during the wax I was being told about their products and when I left the room with the technician, I was HIGHLY pressured to buy their product. When I said no thanks, she put the lotion back but still insisted I get the serum and took it up to the counter where I was to pay. After being told that I should schedule my next wax FOUR TIMES, the receptionist finally let that go. I was highly irritated with everything by this point, AND I was still in pain on the left side. I paid and left a 10% tip... the receptionist told me just so you know, customary is $15. Then she waited for me to give more. A tip is not simply for services rendered. It is a gesture of gratitude or appreciation for a service you believe was well done! I was so offended! How dare you tell me what I should be tipping! You didnt even ask about my experience. Also, a 10% tip indicates a fair/poor job. 20% is excellent. A $15 tip is far above 20% for that service.That night I took a shower and noticed the burning on my left side. When I looked in the mirror I could see it was red and oozing. I had my husband look at the area and he told me they removed some skin. It took about 3 days to heal. I used powder to help sooth the area, but I will NOT return to this location. I highly recommend going to a different place.

Charged me $30 extra and blamed it on a computer malfunction and didnt offer a discount. Came in to get a wax for someone as a gift that I had paid for on a prepaid card. Upon time for the payment to be received I was informed it was a $30 extra because the website always malfunctions, then was told that I could not be reimbursed for my inconvienince even though I was told my price by someone on the telephone. Apparently the staff is new and untrained according to the manager. Wont be coming to this location again. The waters are good but the management is trash, also watched the manager recommend a preferred amount of tip $ to a customer

Finally found the right waxer, and life has been good. So I bumped it up 2 stars to 4 stars. Before that I really didn’t like it that much. It feels very “assembly-line” like and the waxers Can only use the hard wax (wax without strips) and don’t tweeze if there are stubborn areas. But it’s cheaper than other places. I don’t like the overbearing sales talk by the front desk to purchase packages but I understand it’s part of their business model.

After my horrible experience at the EWC in College Park, I was so happy and relieved to find this amazing location! The staff is always nice and prompt, and I’m in and out on schedule. If I need to make any changes to my reservation, they accommodate me. I’ve been going here for two and a half months now and as long as I’m living in the DMV it’s where I’ll continue to go.

Had my first ever Brazilian wax with Erin, she made me feel very comfortable and at ease the entire time, was not pushy on selling me products, the entire staff was welcoming and friendly, salon is very professional looking. Highly recommend!

I had a not-so-positive experience this time (my first time at this location) and there were multiple factors as to why but I won’t divulge too much into it. I’m sure you’re curious. It had to do with the waxer likely having had a rough day as it was sow waxing which meant longer pain, initial dirtiness, and overwhelming smell of rubbing alcohol. I’m sure she felt embarrassed. I contacted EWC about it and posted my initial review on google reviews.I was finally reached and felt like my concerns were fully acknowledged. I understand we all have bad days. I get it. I’ll be happy to go back to this location after how I was treated by corporate and will fully take into account the recommendation to try going to Sarah as myWaxer.Thanks EWC for addressing my concerns on my experience and helping turn it into a reallyPositive one. I look forward to getting a wax from Sarah next time.

Today I was supposed to be having 4 services done before leaving on vacation. I had booked the packages and made this appointment at least 2 months ago. When I arrived I was told that I was a no show for my appointment which was an hour earlier and couldnt be helped.Apparently they had called and left a message that my appointment was changed to earlier in the day - a message I never got and the new appointment was scheduled for while I was still at work. None of this was communicated when I called and asked to add an additional service onto this appointment or when the service was confirmed.The receptionist told me that they had called and my appointment was changed, regardless of the fact that I never confirmed the time change and that I wouldnt be able to make the new appointment time anyways. She then told me that she couldnt fit me in period and couldnt help me see if any other locations had openings. I had to call myself without success.I asked to speak with a manager because I didnt understand how this happened. I was told one wasnt there, the receptionist wouldnt call one and instead my complaint was left on a customer complaint form and added to a pile from earlier in the day. I am guessing that this happened to more than just me today. She told me that one get in touch with me at their earliest convenience, which will really help since I leave tomorrow for vacation and was hoping to have all of this done and taken care of.The one thing that the receptionist did offer was to help me waive the no show which was now on my account because of all of this. Of course it couldnt be done immediately, and she could only leave a note on my account. I am hoping that when someone does eventually get in touch with me about what happened earlier today this is fixed as well.Save yourself a headache and go somewhere that communicates with their customers and honors scheduled appointments. I now have waxing packages, which were specifically purchase for this trip, that I cant use. Its a complete waste of time and money. Now Im trying to find a day spa to do a last minute waxing that should have been a routine service st the European Wax Center.

I came in on Tuesday or Thursday for my monthly wax and as usual my Waxer does a grade A job. I was greeted by quite a few gals and the 3 of them welcomed me in with the biggest smiles on their faces ! After my procedure was finished I went to check out, the girl who was checking me out I believe her name was Nidia, Sabine mentioned that she was the regional coordinator and trainer, -and she made sure I was comfortable being checked out at a slower pace since she was training the lovely gal. The process wasn’t even slow, Sabine seemed patient and walked her through it and with such a leadership quality. Nidia was telling me about the price increase and helped me decide on which package I should buy and the other training gal, Eugenia, (Sabine graciously told me their names so we can be on a name basis) was having a little side conversation with me, we joked a bit, the end result had me leaving really happy, I didn’t feel attacked or pressured ; it felt personable!!! I love this location, if every EUROPEAN wax center had girls like these, I am sure clientele will build up, if you need any Waxer; I will tell you Amiya ; she is THE ONE! The establishment is great; clean, very spa like, 4 stars because If I come any other day, there’s maybe two girls who barely have personality and look miserable.

Im giving a 3 star rating because I have very mixed feelings about my experience.The receptionist, Tori, is very pleasant and professional.I came in for an eyebrow wax as a first time guest and ended up also adding a Brazilian. It was my first one and Erin made me feel very comfortable during the entire process. The experience wasnt nearly as awkward as I imagined. The most awkward part was getting undressed from the waist-down while the waxier is in the room... probably because im used to doctors stepping out for this part. No big deal.My eyebrows were waxed first. Erin explained the 4 step process to me and it was painless. I was surprised when she offered to fill in my eyebrows after. This part made me feel pampered and fancy, haha. She did a great job with the waxing as far as I could see at this point.The brazilian was next. Erin was very upfront about how some parts will be quite painful and others wont be as bad. A lot of hairs were left behind and I was told its because theyre too short and to just leave them for next time. Im not the professional here, so I accepted this statement. She asked what kind of body wash I used and told me Bath & Body Works or any soap you can buy in a store is bad for you and leaves jello behind. She told me to start using their product.On the way out, Erin took me directly over to their product wall and had me smell the different scents. She took the scent I liked and put it in a bag for me to buy, though I never verbally agreed to it. She is quite a salesperson. I am VERY curious how this soap is supposed to be so much better than others. So, we will see.I didnt know what to expect after this treatment and was told no sex, pools, or working out for 24 hours. I could feel the heat radiating through my pants, which is kind of funny. I am covered in red bumps, some white bumps, and also noticed I still had wax on my labias. Pulling out single pieces of hair while removing the wax is not a fun experience at all.I also noticed I have a lot of fine hair left between my eyebrows. If Im paying $20 for eyebrow waxing, I should not have any hair left where its supposed to be removed.Ive read that other places supplement with tweezers for stray hairs left behind. Is that supposed to be something that happens here or is standard to just leave the waxed areas as-is? Im curious before I decide whether or not I should actually return next month. The reason I decided to get the Brazilian is because Im at the doctors all the time for cervical cancer treatment and thought it would be nice to have to do one less thing.
