Outstanding local business! I bought a snowblower several years ago here and had a great overall experience. I then went back this year to buy some gear oil for said snowblower. Due to the supply chain disasters lately, they didnt have any in stock. Rather than just shrugging and saying sorry like youd get at any big box store, the owner went in the back and got me a partial bottle from their service stock and gave it to me, refusing any compensation. They have a customer for life and solid recommendations from me to everyone who will listen!
Was looking for a high quality (commercial grade) zero-turn mower for my 1 acre residence. I had shopped around. Countryside helped me choose and had the product I was seeking (Gravely ZT XL 42 w/ Kawasaki motor). The price was reasonable. Their service is Excellent!
Staff seemed knowledgeable and nice but it was not a good place to sharpen my chainsaw. The price is cheap, $10 per chain, but you get what you pay for. All 3 chains were half sharpened☹ Compared to Weingart, where price is $13, they do a really good job, chain came out like new. On to Weingart from now on.
If you need a part or a question about anything related to a tractor ask Steve if he doesnt know he will find the person you need to talk to.
Very helpful advice on the problem with my lawn mower and help to order the right parts.
Always have a good experience whenever I take a piece of equipment there. Very quick service and good rates.
Tried to purchase a mower from this establishment. I looked at the machine on a Saturday 05/09/2020, and asked was given their advertisement with the machine at a price of $5,399.00 and an offer to finance the machine for 0% interest for 48 months. I assumed I was paying the advertised price $5,300 plus 6% sales tax totaling $5722.94.I filled out the credit application and was called on Saturday evening and told everything was approved and I could have the machine delivered on Tuesday free of charge. On Monday, the owner called and said in order to receive the delivery, I needed to drive back there and sign the paperwork.Upon review of the paperwork, he had a finance charge included of $150.02 which he explained was what the the Loan origination fee cost. Below on the Sheffield financial contract int he area titled ITEMIZATION OF AMOUNT FINANCED there was a loan origination fee of $150. (no idea where the 2 cents came from). Also in this area was a $21.00 charge which the owner said was required to bribe the local officials. This was just the beginning of the DECEPTION. The amount financed was $5,972.86 + the $150.02 from above totaling $6,122.88. Not the $5,7221.94.$399.94 MORE THAN AGREED UPON!The owner Steven then explained to me that he had to add 4% to the mower as this was another cost he experienced by offering the financing. So the subtotal on the mower (advertised at $5,399) actually had to be sold to me for $5,614.96. I told Steven that I did not appreciate them not disclosing all these fees in advance and if they had done so I would have handled my business differently where they were considered. At this point he told me This is how everyone does business and I will unwind the whole deal right now! Keep in mind that I was at the business for over an hour on Saturday and NONE of this was discussed. Steven ignored me and left me with his service tech (who was a great guy) the whole time so this is the 1st experience I have ever had with Steve. This man is a LIAR. I called Sheffield and found out they do charge the dealer 3.75%, but most dealers DO NOT charge the customer. I called four other outdoor equipment dealers since and upon asking about financing they all disclosed the costs to the consumer (the highest was $125).DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I was spending almost $6K on a mower because he had the brand I wanted. He had no investment in bringing me to his location and then would not live up to his own ad. Which he said was not his. I drove to Jackson Michigan, opted to not pay the $125 finance charge and paid for the mower. Go to the POWER BARN!
Had a zero turned picked out and ready to buy. I figured I would support a local business by purchasing from Countryside and have my service done nearby. Nope. After calling to inquire about it I decided Countryside was not for me. The person I talked to sounded irratated and rude that I inquired about a Gravely even though they are a Gravely dealer. He told me I could sell you one but you have to pay the shipping since we mainly deal in Scag. I even said doesnt seem like you want to sell me one which he didnreally respond to. They didnt have to do a thing other than order it and they had a $10k sale. If they are this rude before a sale I cant imagine getting service. I went to Ohio to buy and couldnt have been happier with that dealer. I later found out that a family friend tried to get the same Gravely from Countryside and was treated the same way. $20k in sales lost on 2 customers. They should really rethink their business.
This is the only place I take my equipment to be repaired. Owner and staff are friendly, informative and honest !!!
Always have what I need, from repairs to parts.
Personable, honest, knowledgeable. Ive been to Countryside a half-dozen times over the years, and every time the experience has been great. Same great service today so I thought I would provide a supportive review and comment. We discuss my lawnmower ailments, formulate a diagnosis, and they usually have parts on hand or order the needed parts if needed.
Service was good.
I was desperate after my mower broke. Found this place on line and was blown away with the zero turns in stock. Then I had the best ever customer experience with Steve. He listened to what I needed and delivered! Great price. Great machine. Even the delivery guy was awesome. I highly recommend going here. Dont waste your time with the big box stores. I am actually looking forward to mowing my lawn again! Thanks Steve!
Very educated and friendly staff. I was looking for an ECHO leaf blower that would also vacuum and shred. I called Countryside and spoke to Artie. He was very helpful. Unlike other businesses I called he knew exactly what I was talking about and said they had that piece of equipment in stock. He said to come by any time and I would be able to see the blower and get a demonstration. Later that same day I went to the shop and was assisted by Steven. He showed me everything about the blower and gave me a very good overview and demonstration on how this piece of equipment works. I was very pleased with my interaction with both Artie and Steven. They were both very professional and courteous. I would recommend Countryside Lawn & Garden to my friends and relatives. Keep up the good work.
Love countryside. Steve and the guys are the only dealer and repair shop I want to spend my hard earned money with. They have always been friendly, honest and have always provided me with excellent service. Coming into fall and winter I will definitely be by to purchase some new equipment. Thanks for all your help and support Steve!
Good family owned business. Small enough to pay attention to detail, successful enough to not have to hard sell you, big enough to have good repair services. Been going there ten years, never a problem. Dont go to the three big boxes or weingartz on Jackson, get a knowledgeable service experience and a longer lived product here.
One of the tires on my snowblower came off its wheel last week. Amazon wants $300 (I kid you not) for a replacement. I brought my old wheel in to Countryside this morning, and in 15 minutes they had it repaired and I was on my way. Cost me $15! Plus they were extremely polite and friendly. Great place!
Good prices. Great knowledgeable staff who are eager to help. Even on equipment they didnt sell you and dont normally service. Cant say enough nice things about the crew there.
My no spill gas can is the bomb, no problem filling up especially during the Spring cutting season when my lawn is very thick and it takes several cuts a week to keep it looking the best I appreciate Steves recommending the right product for the right job. I will be taking my snow blower to Steve in the fall for a preseason tune up. Steves knowledge is invaluable to a semi clueless consumer. Thank you.
I have been a customer for 7 plus years and have never had any problems of any type. I have always been impressed with their knowledge, their prices and their helpfulness. I have purchased a lawn mower, a riding mower, a gas powered grass/weed trimmer, and most recently a snow blower. I have had a couple of these serviced there, and have not had need yet to have any service on the others. This is the only place I would consider when that becomes necessary. Yes, they are busy, and during the prime seasons, I am sure there is a wait list. They are a well run local company, locally owned, and do a great job.
Nice guys, but takes weeks and weeks to have mower serviced, at least a month longer than originally estimated. No one calls with an update on timing. Finally was told the mower was ready to pick up (after several phone calls) and then arrived to discover that the mower was irreparably damaged by a crack and unfixable. Unless we buy a brand new mower with them, we lose the $48 deposit we paid for the repair. Not the best experience.
Great customer service!! Fair prices.
Have had great purchase and service experiences in the past. Needed some service today, and got good advice on the type of snowblower to meet my new needs. Stephen and Gene are very personable any were great with my kids!
I went in to have my mower looked at under warranty I got there right as it opened and was greeted politely, offered coffee and asked what they could do. They took my mower back and had it running in no time. Cody, the dog, entertained me while I waited. Short wait, no hassling - I thought this place was great.
Fantastic service. I took in my Stihl chainsaw that hadnt been started in over 10 years. My attempts to start it were unsuccessful. They had it running immediately, checked it over, and I was on my way in 10 minutes--and no charge. I have bought several products from them over the years and have always had good service.
I think there fare in prices. Much much better then going to Lowes for anything. Nice to have a repair shop that can repair😃
Friendly staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Showed me various options on riding mowers and never felt pressure to buy. They were all around a friendly group of people.
They are very nice to do business with.
Every once in a while you run into a shop that really knows what theyre doing, and they have reasonable rates as well. This is one of them. My mower wouldnt start - in 1/2 hour they had new plug and new filter installed, and the oil changed. Mower runs like new again.
Countryside has helped me to keep my 20 year old mower in operation, and I have taken it to them many times for service of all kinds. They have done a great job getting the work done on time or ahead of schedule, at extremely reasonable charges for their work, I cant recommend them strongly enough.
They provide great service for my mower and snowblower. Highly recommended.
Friendly and good service
I thought I would try to support the local businesses and order a part for my Snapper Pro zero turn. I ordered the part on Monday and the guy said that the part would take a few days and they would call me when it came in. I called them Friday and they told me that the part wasnt in. Told me that they would call when the part came. its been three weeks with no call. On to Amazon.com
Great guys. I am a commercial mowing customer. They always go above and beyond for me.
Ive had nothing but great customer service here. Not only did they fix my equipment but they showed me how to keep it running properly so I didnt have to bring it back to them to get it fixed in the future. The turnaround time wasnt as quick as I would have liked but that is because they have so much business.I will absolutely be a repeat customer.
I use this place for my older Cub parts and mostly tire work. (Have a 1450 and 782 with all the implements. GO IH !)I cant comment on the repair service, or delays, but my tires are usually repaired in a day. Ive learned that, with any repair shop, I get clarity when things will be complete and stress I will be driving in to pick it up.Anyways, the people are nice and willing to look up anything you need. Even obscure makes/models. Parts prices are the same as online. Some are even ready in 2-3 days.
Outstanding service, and really knowledgeable folks! They have a lot of service parts available, too.
They fixed my mower in about 15 minutes and for less than $20. You guys are awesome and extremely professional!
Great people, doing great work. Doesnt get any better than this. !!
Nice friendly people and had what I needed for my Lawnmower.
The store picked my lawn tractor in March. It took them eight weeks before they can fix it. In the entire eight weeks, not a single time did the store ever call me to give me status. Every time I call, it will be next week or they dont know. It is like they didnt care. I dont who run this operation, but I certainly would not recommend this store for any services.
Great local family owned store that provides wonderful personalized customer service
Great guys. Honest and helpful.
Good staff
Well stocked but staff was not very helpful. Felt like I was an inconvenience walking in the door.
For the second time in two years, I brought in a poorly running smaller machine and they quickly diagnosed and fixed my minor problem, WITH NO CHARGE! I cant guarantee free work for everyone, but I can definitely recommend this company.
When you need the correct part, they will have it or get what you need! Not sell you what you dont need!
I called countryside to have new cone bearings put in a dixon transaxle on a ztr mower. They said they did not work on my model transaxle.
Friendly staff will help you get right parts
They have always done right by me.
By far the best service ever.....
Brought my small generator in, and they fixed it in less time and for less money than the initial quote. Friendly and helpful - highly recommended
