It would be nice to tell your coworkers that someone has been waiting to order for 10 minutes while you’re talking to a girl, even when you are off the clock. Even more unprofessional, offering said girl free cookies while talking to your coworkers. Word of advice: do this behind closed doors, not near your customers. I usually don’t critique places, but this was just a little bit irritating. Once we got service, the workers were nice.

I ordered a dozen cookies, and got the call that the delivery driver was there, so I went down to get the cookies. The problem was that there was no cookies and no one there. I called the driver, who said they left them outside on the ground. Mine you, this was in front of a dorm where a ton of people are going in and out constantly. And it was raining, hard. I was waiting inside for the call, too, so I came outside within a few seconds of getting the call, and there was nothing there. Either someone took the cookies immediately (and of course they did, free cookies were left for anyone to take), or the driver just didnt show up at all. I called the place itself and they said that would resend them, and call me when they got there. I was up all night with friends and never got a call. I paid $30 for cookies I didnt get. I waited by the door for over an hour for the resend and they just didnt show up. Will not be ordering again.

Waited in line...got all the way to the front for the employee to say we couldnt order. We understand the cookies available were limited as she told the person before us but we didnt even have the chance to take one of those. Also, stated people could order online instead of just taking our in person order which somehow felt worse. Definitely could have been handled better.

Whoever takes the orders via phone isnt actually at the store. I placed my order at 12:30AM and she was like yup they have all the stuff and someone is coming. Then they called and were like were closed. They close at 1:00AM. I understand if there is a time at which you stop taking deliveries, but why take my order then? The woman that took my order was at a franchise call center or something. Unconventional. Whoever is managing is unprofessional and rude. I worked in restaurants for ten years.

The cookies are good but I feel like I either have horrible ordering luck or the employees are way overworked or something. There’s always something wrong with my order. I really like the frosting dip they have, but it seems like maybe 50% of the times I order it it actually comes in the order. Was missing tonight. We were also missing the cookie dough topping for our ice creamAnd the order took nearly THREE HOURS TO GET HERE. Were they really that slammed? If they get so many orders that they get literal hours behind on them why hasn’t the business hired more people? And trying to get any kind of refund or credit for missing items is SO obnoxious it’s almost not worth it, until it starts adding up with every order. I’d chalk it up to ordering on a Saturday but this happens on Monday, Sunday, we’ve had issues on many different days of the week.And honestly my craving was mostly for that frosting 😭 😭😭😭😭

I come in almost every day to pick up the daily free cookie that comes with the Cookie Magic membership. Everyone who works there is so nice and the cookies are always delicious! :) They can get very busy when the university is in session and all the students are on campus, especially on weekend nights, so be patient if youre ordering during peak times!

Amazing place as always, love going to this place every time I wish the town, which is like 3-4 days a week on average. Staff is good people are great. Awesome vibes, cant ask for anything else.

Went after an event on a Saturday night. Placed my order with a friend and waited about 30 mins for our cookies to come out. No problems there. Got all the way home, excited to eat my cookies and found out I was not given anything that I ordered. Very upset that I did not get what I asked for. The people working definitely did not appear to want to be there and the customers were on the ruder side. I will not be returning here.

Ordered at around 10:30, heard nothing for an hour and a half. Called the location and was informed there was a “road bump” and they would have sent the order out but tried to call me (never received a call) about it 12:30 in the morning and no delivery and when I called they said it would probably be a half an hour until they could send it out. Super unorganized and unsatisfactory.

This place is terrible in a business sense while having awesome cookies. They post they are short staffed while we see workers sitting around. The app and website are laggy and dont give give customer all options. Its terrible how they are giving customers are below par experience for a really good product

Here is an example of a business that Id never heard of, offering a service I didnt know that I needed, and craving I wasnt aware of being satisfied.I was staying with a friend one night and she said lets order some cookies. At 1 AM. I was confused. I dont remember how events unfolded from there, but I ended up with delicious, warm, chocolate chip cookies in my belly and joy in my heart without ever having to leave the house.Yes, they are a bit more expensive than youd like but the cost is worth it. Give them a shot.

NEVER order delivery from this place!!! Ordered delivery for 8:45pm, it is now 10pm and no order at all.Called once around 9:15 and a woman said it would be 20 more minutes. Had to call the delivery service and cancel after i called the store 7 times, hung up on 3 and nobody ever picked up!!! Dont order delivery, here. Ive done it twice, and have had two bad experiences. The first time, I placed the order a few days in advance. The good news was that the delivery came on time, but the driver dropped my order before getting to the door, which smashed the cookie cake with writing on it.The next time, I placed a delivery order just one day in advance, which didnt come on time. An hour after the scheduled delivery time, I called and was told they had too many orders and were experiencing delays. Then three hours later, the online tracker said that the order was delivered, and it wasnt. So I called and had them re-deliver.The employees were nice and offered refunds and re-delivery each time, and everything did taste good. But theyre kind of a mess when it comes to executing a delivery. So if you want to order from here, Id suggest to pick it up yourself.Update: After asking to get the second order to be re-delivered, the original order came a few minutes later. Then shortly after that, part the re-order came. It was supposed to be a condolences cookie cake for someone who lost a loved one...but it said happy birthday. A few minutes later, the other half of the re-delivery came. We now have a sorry cake, a happy birthday cake, and two batches random cookies.Im tempted to give an extra star because I appreciate comedy, but two stars seems more than fair.

I thought it would be nice to deliver cookies to my daughter but it ended up being a terrible experience. I was told they would be delivered around 4pm but could be between 4-6pm. It is now 11:20 pm and she still doesn’t have them. She wants to go to bed but I have been on hold with insomnia cookies for HOURS today and do not want to call them back. I was told at 7 pm they were out for delivery. I called back again at 9 pm and was told they didn’t know when they would leave the bakery. Then around 10pm I received an email there was a problem with my order. After another hour on hold, I found out they didn’t have the ice cream I ordered. I am so disappointed and frustrated! I would have given 0 stars if it was an option.

This place has the best ice cream sandwich in the world. I hear it’s busy, but not on rainy fall nights. Some come through off season and get your mind blown. Barely a wait. Double Chocolate Mint Cookie w/ Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

We waited about 20 min to get in (there were only 2 groups ahead of us) and when we ordered, they only had 5 kinds of cookies available. The cookies were okay, but really tasted like grocery store bakery cookies. They were open at midnight during the pandemic, so I do appreciate that. Everyone wore masks and the employees were nice.

Told my friends about this place on how good the cookies are. They drove all the way from Detroit, for the girl to give them an attitude. She was so inpatient. She didnt understand it was their first time there. I hate I recommended them just to get bad service. I was so embarrassed.

Terrible experience every time I order here. It takes over an hour to get your cookies, sometimes 2+ hours. They often forget some of the cookies in your order. Customer service sucks, they will keep you on hold for 10 minutes and then hang up on you.

It had been a while since Ive been. There were two girls hanging out in the building not in uniform and not obeying the 6 foot distance and no makes on and playing dominoes. The cashier ignored my friends order who placed it first. And when my friend told her what she wanted the cashier tried to get her to change her order so she wouldnt have to make fresh cookies. Insomnia cookies is known for fresh cookies and friendly atmosphere. That definitely did not happen today.

Insane fast delivery brownies were still warm. Life is good.

Parking can be a nightmare but what do you expect from a college town but cookies are always delicious and and the customer service is first class.

It is rather pricey, but you are unlikely to complain about the cookies. They are really good. This is exactly the sort of place you would expect to find near an expensive university. It certainly fills a niche and scratches an itch.

Went one night with a few friends. They were out of a couple options (understandably) so I had to get a different kind. They ended up giving me six instead of two, even though they didn’t have to and I didn’t make any complaints. Thanks to the staff on the night of Sept 16 for really going above and beyond what was expected.

I used to love coming here, not so much. Cookies arent as fresh as they used to be, but theyre good when they are nice and fresh.

Great place for cookies and ice cream and when they are combined into a cookie ice cream sandwich, especially late at night when the other restaurants are closed and you need something to eat to get through the night. The cookies and ice cream are all very delicious and tasty and enjoyable to eat.

Interesting place and it starts with the smell of freshly baked cookies when you come through the door. Always busy with the college kid crowds and they deliver.Cookies were fantastic... Made me want to place a second order.

This place never disappoints. Their cookies are amazing. Although the line was long, it went by pretty quick. I wish they had more locations, not just in university towns.

Just save yourself from the pain of waiting. I’ve never waiting less than an hour and a half. The usual is two hours. I don’t know why I punish myself and continue to order from insomnia cookies. You can literally drive to the store, buy all the ingredients and have better cookies in the time it takes them to bring your cookies. They’re always “backed up” no matter what day or time. You’ll always hear that they only have one delivery driver. It must be called insomnia cookies because you can’t sleep because you’re waiting hours for someone to show up with your delivery.Update: After waiting 2.5 hours, I received a call telling me that they couldn’t guarantee my delivery (I ordered at 8:30pm and it’s now 11:00pm) and that I should call customer service and cancel my order. Customer service representative, Pam, was the only helpful person in this entire ordeal.

Amazing cookies and icecream at a very good price

For me going to Insomnia cookies is usually just based on craving. The cookies are always pretty good - warm and goey. There is usually a great ratio of chocolate chips, etc. depending on the type of cookie you pick. Unfortunately I really feel it is a horrible value, the cookies are regular sized and come in rather expensive at $1.75 per cookie. It feels like even Starbucks cookies are bigger at essentially the same price.

Not only are the cookies better than LIFE. They have amazing customer service! I order from there a lot, but tonight the address was somehow messed up. I’m still not sure how it happened because I never change my delivery address. Anyways the staff was very accommodating, quick to handle the problem. The drive drove so far out of his way, which I greatly appreciate. Not to mention they took ownership as if it was there mistake. Idk but I love when a company takes ownership! I would put ZERO stars if I could! I have made two different orders this week. The first was a small delivery to my apartment that took 1.5 hours to be delivered. When the order finally arrived, it was missing half of the order. Today we order two dozen cookies for a coworkers last day and it took over 2 hours to be delivered. When we called after 1.5 hours of not being delivered, the lady called the store and they said they were short a driver today (I dont think this matters because they are slow everyday). The driver still had to go back to the store to get our order. When we asked for an estimated time, they couldnt provide us with a time. She said well I usually say 30-40 minutes, but Im not really sure. Insomnia Cookies is SO slow and their customer service is poor. There are delivery places that bring a full dinner for a family faster than bringing a 6 pack of cookies. If you want cookies, might as well drive to Meijer to get break-n-bakes. Theyre still good and are WAY cheaper.

Insomnia Cookies is a blessing. Open extremely late, selling wonderful cookies, and even having ice cream available, there are only two complaints to be made- they have extremely limited seating area, due to selling cookies and not meals, and their prices are... Perhaps a bit too high. Regardless, I highly recommend them.

Good cookies, but I ordered them 2 1/2 hours ago. The same thing happened last two times I ordered and nobody calls to give an update or anything. It is currently 2:05am and they close in less than an hour. When you call to ask whats up, you get a call center. This is the last time Im ordering.Only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 because the cookies are REALLY good.

Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced. We have been waiting over an hour and a half for 4 cookie sandwiches to be delivered. We finally decided to just drive to the store after their customer service center couldn’t estimate a delivery time. We arrived at the store and they hadn’t even made them yet. I’ve had a 12 person meal ordered and delivered faster then that. Put some ice cream in between 2 cookies and get going.

Ordered a chocolate chip cookie vanilla ice cream sandwich, and it was really good. The ice cream was soft and the cookie was warm and gooey. Wish there was more spots to sit though.

Took my order, and my money, (35 dollars) and never brought the cookies. I had to call and get a refund. They didnt call me, they didnt make any attempt to notify me, absolutely nothing. Ive never ordered from here before, but it sounded like something nice to do for the people I volunteer with, but it wont happen again.

Delicious cookies but absolutely terrible service! On multiple occasions my orders never been delivered. They never fix things and it comes incorrect. Can’t reach anyone at the store and no one ever returns calls.

False advertising on the delivery time, but cookies tasted great. Shame we had to wait for 2 hours when the website states ~ 35 minutes. Just placed another order and Im still waiting although its been 1.5 hours, hence the negative review. I got a triple chocolate chunk deluxe cookie for my first time trying out Insomnia. I ate that soft, warm, and chewy cookie while walking on a cold and (slightly) windy night and I was in heaven. The cookie with its large chocolate chunks was all I could think of. That experience is something I will remember for years to come. Needless to say, Ive found one of my all-time favorite spots.

Don’t even order here. Placed an order at 10:30pm it’s now currently 12:57am. They don’t answer the phone or anything you’re better off picking up some batter and making your own cookies.

After over two hours late, I called to cancel my order. When I finally got through to someone, they said they couldnt cancel it once it was in transit. This is the fourth time Ive ordered, and only one did I get the order...three hours later. The peanut butter cookie was very good, but the m&m and chocolate chip, I could have gotten anywhere. I wont be giving them a fifth try.

The cookies are always fresh when I’m there. I’ve also had delivery a couple times and both times I got my cookies within a half hour. The staff are friendly and super easygoing when customizing what you want to order. Definitely a good place for a late night snack!

It was my first time, and the place was way to hyped up for the price of the cookies. I ordered a box of 6 cookies and I was expecting it to be warm and super soft for the price I paid. The cookies were warm but not that soft. They were hard and it was too expensive for just 6 cookies.Being a new customer here, when I went to make my order, the person working the cash register seemed like she didn’t want to be working there. She seemed as if she didn’t care for the customers and just wanted to get the order and be done with her shift. I felt I was rushed into my order because of her attitude and as a result didn’t get to try all of them but only 2 cookies. The other staff was very friendly and nice. I don’t think I’ll come here again based on my first experience.

When driving home from work today, I encountered one of their delivery drivers. I was about to enter the left hand turn lane when I saw a car speeding past traffic in the left hand turn lane with no regard for traffic law.The road was busy, not congested, but busy.The driver then sped past me with no regard for the safety of other drivers.When we arrived at our turn, the delivery driver sped away with no regard to the speed limit.What happened next takes the cake though. The driver turned into my apartment complex and proceeded to ignore traffic signs and the posted speed limit of 10mph. Speed limits in residential areas are there for the safety of children that live there.As a representative of this business, delivery drivers are the face on the street of this organization. If the behavior of this driver is any estimate of the type of people they employ I will never be doing business with this company.Blatant disregard for traffic laws, driver etiquette and the safety of a neighborhood.

Really, REALLY disappointing: Our office has placed an online order three different times within the last two months, and only received the cookies once. These orders were each placed with the S. University store several days ahead, so if there is an issue with only having one delivery driver, or any of the other excuses weve been given, Insomnia knew of our order and should have contacted us. Instead, over an hour after they should have arrived, after weve called and emailed, the tracker still says baking.When we place an order, its for a meeting, so not showing up makes the napkins and cake plates look pretty awkward. The food is delicious, but if we cant be confident that its coming, we have to spend our money somewhere else. Today was incredibly embarrassing in a room full of hungry faculty members. And now, almost two hours past delivery time, theres been no apology, no hey, the next ones on us for your hassle, nothing.

My coworkers and I just ordered cookie ice cream sandwichs out of mid day sugar crisis & the amount of ice cream we received to make our $6.00 cookie sandwichs was a spoonful !!! Like a bite of ice cream once it was placed on the cookie it melted immediately- jokes on us for paying $25 for 3 cookie sandwichs :: the concept of this is neat hence the two star rating but the prices are comical & we will not be ordering again.
