Ok... this place is really cool. The first thing I noticed when my family and I walked into the store was a wooden swing, right in front of the register. Naturally, I immediately tested out the indoor swing and it was everything I’d hoped it would be. My 3 year old then needed a turn. We spent a good amount of time swinging before exploring the rest of the store. We were visiting on a Saturday, and they were giving out free beers, which I thought was really sweet. My husband and I didn’t drink any beer, but still...the gesture was nice. I parked our stroller up front so the ducklings and I could navigate the store effortlessly. There was quite a few people shopping so that made for the typical awkward rerouting and going around, and that made for some unique discoveries. I found my dream coat. It was out of my price range so I didn’t ask to have it taken down from it’s very high hanging rack to try it on, but still I loved it so much. (More on that coat layer) We made it to the back of the store where we found a table that had free snacks on it. Score. The kids were starving and I can never pass up sour cream and onion chips, so we all had chips. My oldest daughter found a beanie she really liked so she purchased that and signed up for their emailing list. I found the perfectly sized orange carabiner for my keys and the 10 year old wanted a bracelet that they size and burn on...and the cashier gave that to her on the house. It was such a nice thing and an unexpected surprise ☺️ I swang again and noticed the TV FISH! Yes, it was a fish tank in an old TV set. So. Freaking. Neat. We could have spent hours here. But we were hungry and our toddler was starting to get irritable due to the lack of nap and food he so desperately needed. We all walked out with smiles on our faces and that sweet feeling of discovering a new place that we all really loved and enjoyed. The next morning I looked for that coat that I fell in love with. It was a new Cotopaxi in teal, and there was nowhere online that I could find it any cheaper. Lo and behold, moosejaw sent my husband and my teenager a 20% off coupon. My husband used the coupon and bought me my dream coat. I didn’t know if the sizing was true, but I went with my gut and decided on a medium. It arrived the following Tuesday. Exactly two days after it was ordered. And it was perfect. It fit perfect. I’ve worn it every day since and I will wear it every day until the cold weather dissipates. Moosejaw included return info and a cure little trial sample of toothpaste! I read the info paper that was stuffed in the box, and decided after that, that I love this company even more. They are funny. They are personable. They are warm and welcoming. This is my new favorite place. I’m really happy we discovered Moosejaw I’m Ann Arbor ❤️

I got a backpack here a couple years ago, and the staff were very helpful. They also included a complimentary coffee cup with my purchase. Great selection and top rate service.

I have had decent experiences in the retail store, but do not ever order from them online. Placed an order on 11/20, and realized immediately afterward they had my old address. I emailed that night, and contacted customer service the next day. I was told no problem, all fixed. I then watched for the next ten days as my package headed to my old address several states away, including being on the truck for delivery twice. I contacted them FIVE TIMES over this time period, and was told each time, Oh, now its fixed. I was also told twice I would receive a phone follow-up to confirm, and was never called. On the 10th day, when the package was still in my old state and they were saying they were working on re-routing it I gave up. Nice people, broken business.

Cool outdoors shop, with pretty knowledgeable staff, although one guy that works here made me feel dumb for asking too many questions. Definitely lots of fun camping toys packed into a smaller store.

Visiting from Indiana, was my first time in a Moosejaw store. The staff was very friendly and I left with some items for myself and gifts for family members. Could have spent a lot more time and money here for sure!

Cant say enough great things about this place. The customer service is phenomenal, they have quality products, a legit rewards program, real giveaways, funny adverts in town, and the shipping/delivery is incredibly quick... Good. Spot.

If you like anything about the outdoors, this is the place for you. Great feel to the store. Its hep, functional and trendy with a central focus on everyone enjoying mother Earth.

Staff is really nice, maybe a little too cool, but that comes with the territory. Prices are high, but that has more to do with the brands they carry, and you get what you pay for when it comes to performance garments. Having said that, I was able to get a Topo Subalpine for what is easily the best price out there. Overall, you probably already know if youd like a store like Moosejaw in Ann Arbor, but they were playing 81 Grateful Dead, so they deserve your business either way.

Who can ever dislike Moosejaw? Staff is welcoming and friendly. They had an Easter egg hunt within the store (coupons inside!), and were serving craft beer selections to shoppers (if desired and of age, of course). It was a good day at Moosejaw AA!

We stopped at the store in Ann Arbor on our way through to visit relatives. We live in a different state, and have ordered from Moose jaw online. They dont have a store in our state. I ended up trying on several ladies backpacks. The staff was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. Because of this visit, I was able to pick out the perfect backpack (though Im ordering online because the color I wanted wasnt available at the store site).

Moosejaw is great, but Mary (the store manager) is even better. Every time Ive gone in there she has provided service above and beyond any similar store in the area. Shes great with questions, recommendations, and getting you rung up and out the door with 0 inconvenience. You cant really complain about price, they will match anything you can find locally or online so you might as well support a local business (especially now that amazon charges sales tax). Overall the store is small but they are willing to bring in anything from their website so you can check it out before you buy. I cant speak highly enough about this place .... just go there.

I am so completely disappointed with your company. I thought Moosejaw was a reputable and trustworthy company I was very wrong. 1st you tell me I can price match and use promo then you tell me no it’s one or the other and it’s to late to cancel because it’s shipped but I get the return label before the shipping notification. Then I’m told promo and price match can be done 2 days later all I’m done again by some team leads and Cassandra. Mean while my tent that was suppose to take two days is not here it’s been almost a week shows delivered guess what no help from Moosejaw I am out $500 plus because no signature confirmation required?! This is rediculous I have never felt so scammed and taken advantage of I am calling the better business bureau and will share this message with plenty of other out door enthusiasts.

Love moosejaw, its just an awesome store, its got a lot of high quality clothing and is really my go to for all winter clothing.

Fun and caring staff has always been helpful. Ive learned that stopping in often allows me to watch stuff go on clearance as seasons end. I truly appreciate their presence in the community.

Went into the shop today wearing a MooseJaw shirt I’ve had for a little over a year. The shirt was pretty faded, mainly due to the fact that I wear it at least once a week because their shirts are awesome and that I’m bad at laundry. The cashier noticed and offered for me to exchange it for a brand new un-faded one. Super generous, and the fact that they were minutes away from closing made it even more considerate!

Im going to start off by saying it is expensive, but its worth the price. First thing I noticed about this store was the awesome friendly and helpful staff who had no problem giving me a verbal tour of the city (I dont know Michigan or Ann Arbor well at all yet). The second thing I noticed was the huge assortment of awesome stuff that they seem to keep heavily stocked.My girlfriend and I ended up leaving with a shirt with a moose sporting shades and some extremely functional toe socks that I never would have known existed. I wouldnt come here bargain hunting but if you are looking for performance hiking, climbing, trekking or even just walking gear I cant suggest this place enough.There is free parking not too far away every Sunday, so plan it out if you dont live nearby.

Super pleasant and friendly staff. Very easy to interact with and joke around with. Felt like I knew them for awhile. Had another option for a product I was looking for that was not in stock and made sure I left the store happy. Would drive to Ann Arbor from Illinois just to go to this store again (maybe a bit of an exaggeration).

I had bought a nice backpack from them, which I used everyday for over a year. Eventually busted the zipper. I went in to buy a new bag. I offhandly mentioned the busted bag to the sales clerk as an example of what I was looking for. Had a new bag in hand, ready to make a purchase, when the sales clerk informed me that my old bag had lifetime warranty. Brought the old bag in and got it repaired in under a week. Good stuff, awesome staff.

A2 Moosejaw is the bees knees. Staff is always friendly, helpful with questions and will give you an honest, thoughtful opinion on gear. Always some sort of special discount going on, and to top it off, they have a swing. Yes.

Expensive outdoorsman retailer but high quality and style meet here. I got a thearmus there cause im a poor boy and $20 was all i was willing to spend. Honestly this place is pleasant and the displays are inspired, but its definitely geared towards either the rich hiker/ climber or tourist/ hiker types.

The staff at moosejaw are the absolute best! Any time I stop in it easily becomes one of my favorite parts of my day. Theyre super helpful, friendly, playful, and silly. Theres a lot to do in the store while shopping including swinging on their swing, doing the pull up challenge, checking out the tv-turned-aquarium, and whatever cool temporary thing they have going on at the front that week. The products are great and easy to return if need be.

The Ann Arbor store is a small, boutique shop catering to the outdoor enthusiast. They do not have a gigantic selection, but what is carried it is very high quality

I went into the store wanting to buy a full set of backpacking gear. They were very knowledgeable about the gear they were selling, and they let me test all of the gear out in the store! If you have BCBS medical insurance you can get a discount as well.

The draw string on my rain coat broke off from inside the hood. I dropped by the store with my receipt and they exchanged the jacket for a new one in under a minute. Great service, great store!

So much cool outdoor stuff here. If you love the outdoors then you must visit this store. Clothes, shoes, hiking stuff, camping items, water bottles, hammocks, etc ect ect. This store is in a great location downtown. The employees are friendly and very knowledgeable.

Basically they are like REI but more expensive. Comparable like items are 15 to 20 percent more. They have a wide selection and the employees are friendly. The store space is tight and not well organized.

I like Moosejaws online offerings and service. The physical store is cramped and has very limited selection. Also they dont really do much by way of sales. I recommend just shopping online but maybe pop in to try on a jacket or something physically first.
