My daughter and I stumbled across this adorable little store recently. WHAT A TREASURE! We could have stayed for hours. Staff was helpful and there is such an amazing selection of books and the Fair prices are always a plus!Well definitely be back!

They usually have the materials/books that I am seeking to purchase. And if it isnt in stock, they can easily order it for me.I prefer to go to their store, as I am one who likes to browse and get the feel of a book or other materials. Something one cant do online.

Going into this store I was very impressed. Found a book immediately. I walked in alone and my husband followed a couple minutes later. As my husband walked in he asked if they had any business type books. He clearly missed the title of store and papers on door ect. But instead of the workers explaining what kind of store it is. A young lady took him back to a section that he asked for, which they actually did have. After my husband walked away one of the women at the cash register stated to the customer at the register. We aren’t a business book type of store and quote we don’t sell sticker books. Which I interpreted comparing my husband to a child who needs a sticker book for his stickers. All of this being said to a customer of all people and I could hear from the book case I was looking at. So I walked to the back to let my husband know we needed to leave. I was waiting for a moment because I wanted to ask the woman at register why she said such a thing and to clarify but there were other customers standing there and I wouldn’t be as rude as I feel we were treated. Hence this review. I hope it was just a bad day for the woman as this appeared to be a positive store as far as their products. And I really hope this didn’t happen because my husband is African American. I will give the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately we will not be back.

I came for the tea room and found a beautiful bookstore and metaphysical/spiritual supply store. The tea room was closed and I cant wait for it to reopen. I loved everthing they had inside.

Great store and I had a great experience there! The jewelry selections are amazing and I found the cutest bee ring there a few weeks ago that I cherish so much. I’ll have to go back again when things are more open and check out more the store has to offer!

What a fun quirky little shop! Great assortment of books and giftable items, two stores, featuring a reading room and a cafe. Really loved the deep dive into niche categories - there are a bunch of sections for eastern religions and more - something difficult to find in a larger chain store. The reading room on the second floor is quiet, and there’s even an elevator so it is a fully ADA compliant store.

This place is the mecca of spiritual & metaphysical wisdom in the Ann Arbor area. They have literature on nearly every esoteric topic, from Buddhist to Christian to Wiccan and in between. They also have crystals, tarot cards, incense and a tea room upstairs. I look forward to my visits every time.

Friendly staff, a good selection. They had both oracle and tarot cards and lots of good selfhelp books that were nontraditional. They were a bit crowded when we were there. Their tearoom is closed until 2022 because of COVID. Their mask wearing policy remains in effect even now. It smells nice in there. The pricing is what you would expect from a local bookstore and its always important to support local businesses :)

This place is hard to describe. If you like crystals and stones, artisan jewelry, incense, natural healing, tarot, tea, or books, this might be the store for you. Definitely worth checking out, if only to poke around or grab a beverage upstairs.

Adorable 2 story bookstore, second floor has a small cafe. There was live music playing when we went. A lot of tea choices. Cozy and comfortable.

Still one of the best bookstores foot by foot Ive ever been in. Good LGBTQ book selection. They have some nice crystals now, as well. Under an ideal circumstance the tea room will be up and running again soon.

They always have the right book for what I need, spiritually and emotionally soothing atmosphere, and friendly and helpful people.

All new books and some journal supplies, incense and small knickknacks. Found some quality books on poetry and spirituality. Good selections. Only 4 stars because I didnt notice any old print or specialty books. Otherwise, awesome place!

Cute bookstore in a walkable area. We ate right around the corner and wandered down the street and saw this cute shop.

An A2 treasure! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, wonderful variety and quality of products, and (when open again) the cutest little coffee shop upstairs. Over the years of bringing friends here, Ive found that this place has something for everyone.

Be careful when purchasing things here. They have false representation of their goods. Especially if you’re buying decks. They use old versions of products that are visually different than the newer versions. They have a policy where they don’t exchange if you’ve opened the plastic, but you can’t see the deck unless you open it. So if you happen to get something that’s not what you thought you were buying, you’re basically SOL, even if you just bought it from them minutes beforehand. I choose to buy local because I want to support local businesses, but it’s really hard to see the pros of buying local when I can get things cheaper, and with a better return policy from other retailers.Update: I spoke with Sarah, who was understanding and did let me know that they pulled the deck and were in the process of putting up a replacement for the new version. Sarah also offered to refund my purchase, but I opted to keep the deck. I was still offered a small gift certificate, which I thought was super nice.

Absolutely love this place. Cute, cozy and friendly. I will gladly do the hour drive just to go here. A lot of interesting books.

Very neat bookstore in downtown Ann Arbor! Wide selection of books from the mainstream and not-so mainstream (Cooking for Two! Your Cat and you! and Scratch and Sniff Guide to Beer). The atmosphere is very relaxing and while we didnt try the tea room I can easily see sitting in there with a new book purchase and sipping tea while people watching on Main.

Crazy Wisdom is a great spot to meet a friend, have tea, do work, and find cool books / trinkets to buy! The baristas upstairs are great and also have amazing carrot cakes / cheese cakes. Almost every Saturday, they feature free live music from local artists which is a real treat. I especially love the Indian Music Night that happens once a month! Its definitely worth checking out in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor.

This place is a gem. There are so many surprises. You can find almost anything here having to do with self improvement and the world that we live in. Its a nice and unique store with more to offer than what you see on the surface. There are also a few hidden books thatll make you laugh out loud like the one in the attached photo. Definitely worth a visit!

The store is well worth their time if youre looking for any kind of alternative healing or spiritual information or just a really cool gift. It is well run and the staff is kind and considerate so its worth a visit even in covid.

Crazy Wisdom is and always will be my go-to place to go to in Ann Arbor for that special mini getaway. The vast assortment of new age reading material is plentiful and upto date. Id like to see a bigger selection of crystals and rocks but it will do in a pinch. Of course the tea room upstairs offers the best end atmosphere for a good coffee or tea and a mid-afternoon snack. If youre there on the weekend in the evening you could enjoy some live music. I recommend the Indian music night.

Great bookstore with lots of extras if your into eastern religion/ philosophy, spiritually, chackra, new age, holistic healing, etc... And there is a very cool tea room upstairs you can grab a book and check it out before you buy. Also the staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Crazy wisdom has a rewards program for loyal customers too. I had a great time hanging out with an old friend of mine the first time I went here. I met her for dinner last night and we made sure to come back for a visit..... You should too!!!!

This place is an oasis in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor. The large tea area on the second floor boasts the best view of Main street while featuring carefully handcrafted drinks. I enjoy looking around the store which has a somewhat eclectic variety of items in addition to books. I also enjoy flipping through their newspaper. If you are on Main street and looking for a place to come in and take a break, this is your best bet.

Its so peaceful, the staff are friendly, the tea is delicious, and there are so many great books to choose from.

As a former employee there, I will never shop there again. The treatment and lack of living wage plus the illegal reason to stop selling my metchandise because of a sideline managers personal issue with me is why. I think it’s sad that a bookstore that touts acceptance and wisdom is filled with so much of the opposite..

My friend and I stumbled upon this gem while exploring Ann Arbor. It was at first a refuge from the intense heat but became a huge highlight of our trip!You walk in and its suddenly calm and serene and helps balance your mood. The first floor is dedicated to book after book containing a wealth of knowledge from fiction to self help, most with the goal of self improvement on some level. Along with all the books, youll find many trinkets and tools like crystals and incense and jewelry and music. Its hard to take it in with one visit!Upstairs has a tea shop along with other spaces for meetings or yoga. Theres more info on that downstairs.The people we interacted with were sweet and were willing to help us find what we needed. I cant say enough good things about this place! Go check them out, its well worth the trip!!

My favorite place to go in Ann Arbor. My friend introduced this place to me over 10 years ago and I am still going. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and re-energizing. The main floor is a bookstore that covers a little bit of everything but is mostly aimed at mystic arts. Upstairs is a quaint little tea room where you can sit and relax for hours. Wonderful tea selection.

This is my favorite store of all time. I have been going here for over 10 years. The vibe is wonderful and they have a great selection of books and metaphysical items. I love the tea room upstairs and the kids section is cute with a great selection of books and small, unique toys. My daughter loves it! Crazy Wisdom is a one in a million store and I cant wait to continue to go here for years to come.

Good location and generally chill vibe. As soon as you open the door, youre hit with an amazing smell of the different aromatic products theyll sell wafting throughout the store. The clerk is extremely friendly and there are books and objects to be found of many different faith traditions and spiritual practices. Would definitely recommend if youve got time to browse and explore. While youre at it, take some time to head upstairs and enjoy the full service tea bar.

This is one of my favorite locations in Ann Arbor. Not only is there a massive bookstore on the main floor that serves all your health, current events, new age and other needs, there is the tea room upstairs. Everyone I have brought here is absolutely smitten with the selection of tea and coziness of the tea room area. A must try!

This bookstore and tea room is one of the gems that makes Ann Arbor so homey. With a great selection of books, friendly staff, a tea room that has delicious and warm offerings, and occasional events like live acoustic music you really cant go wrong. Excellent way to expand your mind. You can find just about any topic of todays world literature here, any metaphysical accessories and supplies, all of the world culture traditions religions and rituals. Beautiful music events live. Great advice from the people who work at the store. Information on the lessons teachers healers. Comfortable reading room and delicious selection from the cafe. Around 80 different kinds of tea based on chakras and different modalities.

Great place to shop. I love the variety of books and different handmade jewelry and meditation tools. This has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff seem to be delighted to help.

Great 📚 books

One of my favorite book and crystal stores. Always has cool findings. Unique merchandise, right price bracket, friendly people. Great place to spend a few having a drink and grab a book. Some of my favorite crystals have come from here.

Crazy Wisdom is the place to be in Ann Arbor - good tea, good food, and good service. The items are pricy but esoteric, and every good in the store feels laden with meaning, which the music and atmosphere lends heavily to. All in all, a five star experience. Much more than tea and books!

They are very intuned w spirituality. Very nice people, and also clean. They have a lil bit of everything from crystals to educational books. And for spiritual folks they even have tarot card readings on occasion (call for date/times.📚😁

I love Crazy Wisdoms tea room! Enjoyed apricot tea with a strawberry mousse layered cake today. My friend enjoyed a chocolate torte with Witchs Brew tea. Yum!

Great selection of books on holistic health & nutrition as well as a kids section. I didn’t get a chance to look further but had a cup of lavender latte which was satisfying. Hot chocolate was ok. I found it a bit too ‘milky’ and sweet. Friendly staff. Quiet atmosphere.

I love Crazy Wisdom Tea Room! Great place to study and relax. They have excellent herbal tea blends for a variety of tastes and health needs (warming, cooling, mental stimulation, digestive aids, etc). Delicious light snacks and sweet treats as well!

I really enjoyed hearing David Hall talk about water yesterday. I came back today to do some shopping. I bought a beautiful incense burner and a bottle of essential oil. I am looking forward to burning some handrolled incense sticks in this burner because they are too thick for the holes in my other burners. They have an incredible collection of books on every subject imaginable that are not seen in mainstream outlets. Thank you Crazy Wisdom, you are crazy wise!

Awesome, awesome, awesome bookstore, New Age mumbo-jumbo supplies (I love the incense, oils, soaps and scents available!!!) Lots of room to sit and read, excellent tea room/coffee shop with great vegan and non vegan snacks. A community room upstairs hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings several times throughout the week, and there are spiritual talks and workshops held there as well, all for free. The selection of books is amazing: lots of UFO books, aliens, religion, spirituality, archeology, Buddhism, Gnosticism, travelogues, and novels by underground authors.

Went in to spend some money on my birthday, I planned to buy some sage and jewelry. My daughter was admiring the tea sets and an older woman who works there came over, took everything away from my daughter and told me that she would put everything back... She got well in our personal space (6ft please!). Very abruptly and with no one asking her for help.On my way out I informed her that we were not impressed with the customer service we recieved. We then took our business two doors down, to the shop with the Tibetan goods.

Got a reading in the tea room and I was amazed at what Gail picked up from me. She was accurate and I felt better after I left. The stones are $3 and I purchased a few important ones that I needed. I will be back soon and very soon.

My FAVORITE witchy shop in the Ann Arbor area! A great source for books and resources on the topic, as well as lots of other new-agey interests as well. They also carry TONS of smudging and incense options, candles (for spells or for smells), crystals, jewelry, spellbooks and notebooks (etc). The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful, and theyre happy to special order in anything they dont currently carry for you. If you have some extra time to spend there, be sure to check out the upstairs tea room! Its an incredibly cozy space to work, read, or just relax in, and the latte I ordered was delicious. 💗 I make sure to stop by every time Im in town!

I love shopping here!! So many things to explore and read. You never feel rushed and can take a break in the tea room if needed. When I walk in Im always greeted and it just feels relaxed and comfortable. Its laid out well and has everything that a beginner would need and a novice would want.

Its the one of the nice spiritual/ritual one-stop shops in town. In all my years stopping at the shop, Ive never had a conversation with the staff outside of business and pleasantries.A lot of popular spiritual aesthetic home pieces here.

Crazy Wisdom is a fascinating place! The tearoom upstairs is lovely, and the store offers many interesting items, including a wide selection of spiritual, metaphysical, and magic books (among others). They send me a weekly email telling what they have going on in the store, and they have many really interesting lectures, performances, group meetings and author visits. I want to spend more time there!

This is one of the best book stores I have gone into! It is quaint with many interesting and unique titles and gift options. It has an excellent little cafe for coffees and deserts that can be enjoyed while reading your newest find! I cannot wait to return!
