I like the location, good parking, and good hours. Staff are usually friendly and knowledgeable. Prices have gone up on some things the last few years but still enjoy doing business there and I do recommend this location / store.

Theyre one of the best parts stores in town. Them and OReilly.They are also one of very few that will pay you for old battery cores to recycle them.

Have what you need or can have it shipped in with 1-2 days. I wish their website was easier to shop on though.

Went in the morning, and got the parts I needed quick. The original store didnt have them so they called the hub and had them hold them for me. Fairly easy to get what was needed.

They have always had the auto parts I have needed, so Ill continue to go here first to avoid the hassle of not finding the part elsewhere.

I went in and needed a new light bulb for my headlight and I had no idea if it was low beam or high beam and the lady helping me put on her coat and went outside to check with me to make sure I got the correct bulb. What great customer service with a positive attitude!!

Inexperienced and sub par, at best. Spend the extra .75 cents and go to NAPA where they know what theyre doing.

I ordered and paid online for my wife to pick up a car battery for a 2016 Honda Civic. My wife arrived and clarified to the male employee at the register that she was picking up an order that her husband made. My wife stated it was under my name. Regardless, he confused my wife (he read off my name and the order) and had her unknowingly pay for it AGAIN. In the end, my wife saw on her bank account the charge for the online order $188.67 AND the physical store purchase $192.37 of the same item. Why would I want to get charged for the same thing?The online order break down costs: $159.99 for the battery, $18.00 for the core charge, and tax $10.68. Total: $188.67.The physical store break down costs: $159.99 for the battery, $3.49 for battery installation kit, and $18.00 for the core charge, then tax $10.89. Total $192.37.I want a refund of the physical store charge, and will be returning the installation kit.

They have a lot of products and parts, just a long wait period on certain things I need for my car. Great customer service as well.

Just stoped in at the ankeny location to pick up an air door actuator. My service was horrible. CSR#08 had to come back to computer five times to look at a part number to pull for me then he grabed the wrong part. When it came to check out he scanned my rewards card then the computer froze instead of waiting. He canceled the sale which lost my rewards points. Therefore I had to pay full price instead of my rewards points being deducted first. No other compensation was offered for the system/ employee mess up.

Had RV breakdown at rest stop between Desmoines /Ames Ia 3/28/2020. Store employee Ashley was knowledgeable and sensitive to my situation. She delivered part needed on her own time (over her lunch hour) and waited until part installed and was on my way to home in mn. I had contacted at least 5 other parts supply stores in area who did not deliver or offered any suggestions on delivery options. I will be a definite user of Auto Zone stores if needed in the future and would recommend them to others There needs to be more Ashley’s in this world. Wishing her the best now and in the future. ..

Really great service. I bought and air conditioner refill with the gauge. The guy that I talked to there came out to show me how to use the gauge correctly. Got my air conditioner blowing cold again.Good friendly service. Always seem to help you with what you need.

Very helpful staff, only reason for a 4 star rather than 5 is that some items are very overpriced, other items are spot on for price. But I still shop there, just know what you should be paying what you can get it for at other places. Otherwise a great auto parts store.

I bought a battery for my pickup. They installed it in 5 minutes for no charge. Interstate Battery was 15 dollars higher for the battery and wanted 15 dollars to install. Thank you AutoZone.

I typically always shop at an auto zone for my car stuff! But this one is so terrible!!!! You can tell these gentlemen and women k ow absolutely nothing and rely on the computer thats it no general car knowledge at all!!! But they seem to think and act like you are lower than them on the totem pole.

After purchasing this part from west Des Moines location - I confirmed the vehicle numerous times and them NOT having a book on my vehicle they had me purchase a part that was stated to be the part and nothing else.... $40+ after all that it turned out to NOT be the part or even part for my vehicle and the part that was required for my vehicle was listed under different year in there data base and as far as getting I store credit for the part I purchased in the first place -yeah they credited NOT EVEN half of what I paid. Keep in mind I informed the manager on the phone that I didn’t have the receipt but he remembered me ... he sent me to a different store since they had my part. And NO. They didn’t honor the credit the way the other manager stated only caught one name and that was Shawn . It’s amazing how items are messed up in store yet not online ... sorry auto-zone, looks like online parts services will get my family’s business from here on out ...

Quick easy online order and pickup!

Good place to pick up oil and filter, but if they need to get the part from another store its a different story, they failed twice two days in a row, saying it would be there 4 difference times and still havent heard from them, Orellys got the part in an hour, should have started there.

The woman behind the counter today was awful. Had no clue what I meant when I said Duramax, or even when I gave her the technical term of Chevy 2500 HD! She was very rude when she couldnt find what we asked her to find. I was about to take over the computer for her, knowing I could find what I needed quicker than she could. This place definitely needs better employee training!
