Too lazy to be able to help replace a battery. They told me that they had to do too much work to be able to help me change my battery. Mind you if they were really busy I could be okay with them not being able to help, However this time was not one of those cases. They had no customers and had more than enough people to help each other out and get my battery replaced.

The Ankeny Walmart Auto crew was super friendly. They got me in to get my battery changed out between appointments. And it didnt take that long!

This is a joke. They use valve caps that they know corrode and are impossible to take off without breaking the valve stem (per the staff and the reason Im here). The lifetime rotation is only good till they think you need new tires. At least they didnt argue with me for 30 minutes like another store did before fixing the tire that was under warranty.

Brandon and his team did an excellent job. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Went for an oil change and they put new oil in my van and didnt drain the old oil first. Damn near ruined the entire vehicle and gave me months of issues. After $1000 in repairs, the van still works, but with issues incurred from oil overflow.

Quick and painless

They put 2 brand new front tires on my car, and they squeezed me in quickly. Unfortunately one of the tires keeps losing air, making winter driving treacherous on any surface. I took it back once a few days later (I live 60+ miles away) and they looked at it, took the tire off and put it back on my rim, then said they couldnt do anything because I didnt buy the hazards warranty, add $20. Said I could take it up with Goodyear. I will never let them touch my car again. Wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy.

Paid extra for protection plan on my tires which includes rotations. Ive always been told to make an appointment to insure I get in. Now they refuse to make and appointment and its first come first serve. I now have a protection plan with free rotation that is VERY DIFFICULT to use because they refuse to make an appointment. Now I may end up running around walmart for hours waiting for my tires to be rotated after I prepaid for a plan! DO NOT work with walmart auto center and DO NOT purchase tires from walmart.

Hit or miss with these guys. Some days I’ll come here and they’ll walk right past me, completely ignoring me for 10-20 minuets. They’ll then take 2-3 hours changing my oil (Go figure). Other days they’ll have my car done before I’m done grocery shopping. Both days Their customer service Sucks. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you have patience and you’re free to sit around all afternoon waiting for an oil change.

Great service we were there in late had a bunch of things done on a new car we just bought they took care of us great couldnt ask for a better bunch of people then at the Ankeny Walmart

Refused to put on new tires due to a stud that was missing! State law says you only need 3 per wheel.

Needed a new tire back in August and they were the only place that had it on hand. I got my tire pretty quickly, I didnt have a chance to get my shopping done!!

The man at the counter was no help at all. I went with the intention of spending over $500 for tires, but it did not seem that they were interested in helping. They had three tires that I was looking for, but did not have the fourth. They could not check to see If another store at the last one. I was not able to pay for the last one and have it ordered and held for me, he told me I would have to catch them when they had the tire there in stock. The entire time his demeanor suggested he did not want to be working the cash register in the auto area. With this kind of help quality, I will not go back. I will spend my money somewhere else

Show that they are open but no one will answer the phone. costumer service answered the phone three times and sent my call back there over and over but no answer.

Waited 30+ min to get checked in and there was one car in there being repaired, no cars in line. The workers would glance at my car and look away, wasn’t busy what so ever to be waiting that long. Ended up leaving without services and all I needed was a tire repair.

Horrible service if i could have left zero stars i would have. Only one car in their shop and 3 employees standing around waited over a hour to get them to even start on the car and still waiting. Do not go here

Waiting 2 hours+ (still waiting) on getting a tire repaired. They are not busy. No excuse for this!
