I would give Roy and Heather 10 stars if I could. They were so helpful and created the ring of my dreams! I was nervous about making such a huge decision on a piece of jewelry, but they were very patient, let me try on all the rings I wanted, and answered all my questions. After deciding on a style, Roy found a few stones for me to choose from. You can tell they take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of the jewelry they sell. The whole process was just so easy and wonderful. I will definitely be going back to them to get my wedding band and any future jewelry purchases. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I cant recommend 5th Avenue Jewelers enough! I recently crushed my engagement ring in heavy equipment and damaged the head and some of the rings intricate detail work. After reading Yelp reviews of several Anchorage jewelers I called Roy and brought in the ring for an assessment. From the get-go, Roy was lovely and very helpful. I showed him photos of the original state of the ring and he assured me that if anyone could get it back to its original state, his jewelers could. The whole team went above and beyond with the ring. It ended up requiring a rare head that needed to be ordered from abroad. Roy kept me in the loop the entire time. When I got my ring back, I was BLOWN AWAY! It looked better than it did before the accident. The gold shined brighter; the details were just stunning. I also had the ring resized and soldered to my wedding band and the fit and design are just incredible. Im converted - we will definitely continue to work with 5th Avenue Jewelers for all of our future jewelry needs!

The best jewelry store in Anchorage! My now-husband and I shopped around looking at engagement rings last year and found the absolute best selection and service with Roy and Heather at 5th Ave Jewelers. The engagement ring buying process was smooth and easy for my husband and so was buying our wedding bands 8 months later. We planned our wedding last minute and Roy was able to have my husband’s band ready within a week (and I was even able to sneak a message to Heather so I could get it engraved for him). My set is absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be more happy with it.

Wow! another wonderful buying experience. My first experience was in 2011 when I was in Anchorage on business and happen upon 5th Avenue Jewelers. I purchased a beautiful pendent for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Recently, I contacted the store and inquired about possibly buying matching earrings. Heather was my store contact and after a few emails exchanges with pictures, we were able to identify earrings that were a perfect match to the pendent purchased six years earlier. I have been interested in gold quartz jewelry for a couple of years now. When I found out we were going to have a business trip in Anchorage I started looking at jewelry stores that carry gold quartz. 5th Avenue Jewelers had great reviews so I thought we would start there. Their selection was amazing not only with the gold Quartz but with everything else they carried including nice carved fire opal specimens we were not expecting. The ring I liked the most just happened to fit perfectly and the price was amazing! I could not have imagined a more beautiful ring! Thank you so much Roy and Heather for being great Jewelers with warm inviting personalities. You took us seriously and gave us the respect I hope for in jewelry business but rarely receive. 5th Avenue Jewelers is the best jeweler in town. Locally owned by a great family who are easy to work with, dependable and overall good people. I bought a ring here that I absolutely love. Heather helped me purchase it and it was as if she knew exactly what I was looking for. I cant even begin to count the number of compliments I get on it. I also purchased a bracelet as a Christmas gift that turned out perfect. I was down to the wire, but they worked with me yet again and had it here in plenty of time. Amazing! I was on the hunt for a specific piece of jewelry about a year ago. Went into a few stores in Anchorage, and felt that those stores seemed like they were more for the tourists. I did some research and found 5th Ave Jewelers. Once in the store I felt comfortable. Never taken advantage of, no pushy sales. Just open and honest sales. Roy and Heather are great and work well as a team. Our family now owns about 5-6 pieces from them and more in the future!

They helped me decide on an engagement ring for my wife which turned out even better than I was expecting! They have a great selection for men and women and are more than willing to work with each customer that comes through their door. I would highly recommend paying Heather and Roy a visit in the heart of downtown Anchorage!

We took two rings to 5th Avenue Jewelers to be refurbished. Both were old and needed quite a bit of work. The people there looked at them carefully, and offered a very fair estimate of how much the repairs would cost and the price of an appraisal for each. Later when it appeared it was going to take more to repair them than originally thought, we were called and given a new estimate and an offer to return the rings if thats what we wanted. Even the new estimate was very fair considering the amount of work that needed to be done. When we picked the rings up, they were even better than new, with no more worries of losing a stone. The people who run the store are awesome. If you visit there you will receive much more personal attention than at a national brand name store. If you are in the Anchorage area and need work done on your jewelry, or are looking for something special, I highly recommend this locally owned and operated business. We will be back.

I meant to write this review back in September . . .I was looking very intently for the right ring to propose with. I went into 5th Avenue Jewelers and Roy was very helpful in explaining all of the different qualities in a ring (color, cut, etc.) He provided a number of options and we quickly got it down to the right ring within my budget. The trick was (and this is why I am giving them a 5 star) that I had been looking tirelessly for the right ring for many weeks and time was running out. I was preparing to propose in a WEEK, and Roy was able to quickly get the diamond set on the band I had chosen! I got the ring just in time for the big moment (and I should say it was perfect). Roy and his customer service/efforts were fantastic and I am recommending this place to anyone who really cares about the quality of jewelry they want to invest in.

I bought a gold chain here which was absolute junk. I paid approximately $250 for it. I live out of state and it broke within a short time. I mailed it back to the shop and they replaced it. The replacement broke within a short time and they replaced it once again. That chain also broke and they would no longer do anything about it. I am not hard on jewelry I took very good care of it but the owners wife insisted I was not taking good care of it. I would never recommend buying jewelry here. One of the reviews on here is from the owners wife so it makes me wonder if the other positive reviews are from her also. That is not a very good reflection of honest reviews.

This was actually one of the place I found I came up that I really wanted to see but cant even get in! We went by Saturday an hour before they were supposed to close and it was lock up. The guy leaned out the door and said that he had to go to a wedding and they were closed the next day too. Was a bit irritated that a business would do that especially without putting a note or something on the door. So we downtown again today (Tuesday) its an hour and a half since it opened, the open sign is on but again the door is locked and no one is in sight inside! Was really disappointed after seeing all the good reviews and cant even go into look.

Roy and Heather both were wonderful for my engagement ring saga. They were professional, responsive, and so passionate about their work, the jewellery, and connecting with the customer at a level that becomes a long standing friendship and trust that will make future visits for cleaning and new purchases a joy to have.Its so much a better experience to walk into a store where the employees greet you with cheer, remember your name, your ring, ask how youve been, and are excited to hear the answer.I worked through a custom ring design with these guys. They interfaced with Gabriel and Co. for the process. We worked through multiple changes and got to just what I wanted with a few revisions. During the process I got to walk away with 2D plans of the ring with multiple views and later a 3D render with the ring rotating.To those who are tech savvy - you can look up MP4 to GIF online and convert the video to a looping GIF that either loops in one direction or rebounds so that the ring can keep rotating in a spin or rotate and then turn back the other way repeatedly.I heard of these guys from a friend recommending them after his great experience and I can do no less. Check them out!

The diamond fell out of my ring, so I took it in for repair. He had to rebuild the prongs. My ring looks more beautiful now than it originally did. Highly recommend!!!

Weve purchased a couple beautiful items dating back to 2012 including another ring we bought from their website. After several conversations with Heather, we ordered with a short timeline. It was delivered on time and again exceeded our expectations . Their gold quartz jewelry is a higher grade quality than we have seen in other shops or online. They have an extremely awesome collection of unique pieces in all price ranges. I purchased myself a very nice bracelet and a lovely necklace for my fiancée. The owners were so kind, they even went above and beyond and provided me with their email address in case I ever needed an expert advice even though they knew I lived in Montreal and was just there for a short period of time!If you ever visit Anchorage, don’t miss this one!

I wont buy from anyone else in town! Amazing experience/customer service. Do not get ripped off by big name retailers with fake certificates for inflated prices. After a ton of research and stopping by a lot of different jewelry stores not one could beat the quality and price this shop has! The nicest diamond big name retailers carried in stock was an SI diamond with IGI certifications which are not as strict as a GIA or AGS grading criteria allowing them inflate the price/grade, meaning you buy a lesser diamond for a higher price. My 1.24K VS1 excellent round cut solitaire with GIA certification cost less than the competitions IGI certified SI diamonds. To top it all off my purchase came with an appraisal at no extra cost. Couldn’t be happier.

I have been going to 5th ave jeweler a for years and have never been dissappointed! Theyre customer service is amazing, they truely care that you are happy with your experience. I looked everywhere for weeks for the perfect ring to propose with. My mother recommended to me that I should go to 5th Avenue Jewelers. She said that’s where everyone goes. Asian mothers can be very persuasive, but I had to do all the looking myself first. Now I wish I would have just taken her advice from the beginning. I wasted 3 months looking around at all the typical places; Fred Myer Jewelers, Kay’s, every place in every mall. And all I saw were rip offs of other rings I saw in other stores with lesser diamonds for more money.So one day on my lunch break I walked over to 5th Avenue Jewelers. I had never been there before, I’ve walked by it a million times and just thought it to be another store downtown that I had no business in. Little did I know that it was the perfect place for me. The staff was excellent, very nice and easy to talk to. At first I was skeptical about revealing any information about what I needed and my price range. But after talking to Roy and Heather, I felt like I could tell them anything. They were super patient with me. I practically looked at every ring they had, even the ones in their catalog, for about 3 or 4 hours before I finally decided on the one I loved. After that, I left it in their hands and my fiancé and I are not disappointed. They provided above and beyond. Our ring is gorgeous and I will be returning to purchase our wedding bands sometime next year.I highly recommend this place, don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. I got my engagement ring and my wedding ban from Kays. My main stone came loose so I took it back to Kays, They claimed they fixed it but they didnt! So when I lived in Oregon I found a place to take care of it. I moved back to Alaska and my main jeweler had retired. I was super scared to try some place new. I did research and 5th Ave had high reviews and great ratings. So I finally decided to make the jump and trust 5th Ave with my rings. Once we got married pairing my rings made them too tight. So I needed them resided so they would fit on my finger together. I also needed them replated and just touched up. They only took a week to be done where as Kays took 3 weeks for one ring. I picked them up and they were perfect! They sized them spot on and they feel amazing and look amazing! I am so happy and will be using them in the future when I need them fixed again! Thank you!
