This place has very delicious food. The best part is all the options, including vegan and gluten free choices! The vegan burrito I got had good flavor and the salsa was a good add to it. My dad got the omelette and said it was really good as well. Definitely the place to go for breakfast! Can’t wait to try lunch here sometime!

I loved this place. I was a little skeptical when I visited this place but, the food was amazing, my husband and I visited this place for breakfast on our wedding anniversary. We started our day with yummy breakfast. There are a lot of vegetarian options too. We came for vacation to Alaska and had a very good start. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Came by this place for Breaskfast. I am new to Alaska and we came here because of the good reviews. First impressions were great, had no problem ordering our food. Menu is easy to read as they have it on the wall. One suggestion would be a hair nets for the guys handling the food in the back. Either than that, the stuff was great and the food was good. A bit unorthodox but thats why its a great place to eat/visit. What looks like a small stop in a strip mall is a restaraunt you can walk in the front and out the back to the patio for some sun. Order at the horseshoe style cash registers and sample a bit of everything or just order one of their baked goods, a coffee, and enjoy the artwork sprawled along the walls, all of which are for sale.

Their food is so great, but the wait time is inversely proportional. You have to make sure you’ve got a block of time saved off if you plan to dine-in here, especially with the covid reduced seating. Vegan-friendly, GF-friendly; lots of options here. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you.

They have to be one of the best gluten free, paleo and vegan restaurants I’ve been to...anywhere. They started small and worked their way into their current space over many years. Took their time to perfect their brand and it really worked out for those of us who appreciate a varied menu. In non-Covid times the place is a constant bustle of folks dining in and those just stopping by for their take out sandwiches, salads, coffee and baked goods. I’ve never had bad service there, everyone is always extremely friendly. Their portions are hearty and everything is delicious. They can be busy, even during these pick-up-only times...like other popular restaurants in Anchorage, best to either call well ahead or opt for the pre-packaged options if you are in a hurry.

Came here for lunch and wanted a burger. Liked the toppings for the coyote burger but didnt want a lentil patty. Asked the cashier to sub it with a beef patty. I would pay extra. She said it is beef. I thought to myself thats odd, but assumed she knew. When my burger came out, sure enough it was a lentil patty. I hate to be that kind of person, but I had explicitly asked for beef. I think maybe the cashier must not know the menu. I told the women who brought my order, the runner, that I had asked for a beef patty. She walked away without saying anything. I sat for awhile wondering if she was going to correct it, or not. Just as I began to get up to go ask the cashier for a refund, after 20 minutes of waiting and not knowing--the women brought out my order with the beef patty. That burger was terrible too, sad to say it but its true. It was rubbery and tasted freezer burnt. Will never be back. Bummer, cause this place used to be on my list of favs.

Lovely ambiance, clearly a popular place, super busy. In town to visit family and stopped by to grab a bite. Ordered to-go and waited in the public space for fifty minutes or so. Asked about the art (turns out it goes down at the end of the month and they dont ship it, so no joy there), stood around for another ten or so (bought a can of diet coke). Eventually I walked up to the counter, and lo and behold, its in the cooler. I was most surprised by the fact that although i gave them the cell number they required to text me was never used, in addition to the fact my name was never spoken aloud. Anyway, I ate my lukewarm parfait and mildly warm juice. I also stole a spoon.

We ordered two breakfast burritos and an omelette with sourdough toast. After a 50 minute wait we got the omelette with wheat toast (not sourdough) and only one burrito. We waited for another 15 minutes before going to the counter to ask what happened and the lady said they must have lost the ticket but will put the order right in. We then waited another 40 minutes and still no other burrito. Went back to the counter and the lady was very rude and brushed us off even after we said we’ve been waiting for and hour and 45 minutes. We ended up just walking out with one of us still on an empty stomach because they lost the burrito order. Twice. Food was good, but the 50+ minute wait time combined with the staff just loosing orders and being very rude is really just not okay.

Ordered vegan and gluten free food to-go after waiting 20mins in line and they mentioned they were out of avalanche burgers, so we went with the lentil burgers and some other stuff. People who ordered after us got their orders and for us after 1hr they called to let us know that they are now out of lentil burgers and can now substitute it with avalanche burger option, which is as confusing and time-consuming as it gets, so over all we spent 2hrs at this place (12.16pm ordered food and came out with the to-go at 2.08pm). People who ordered before us were told they lost the order ticket in the kitchen, so they left after waiting hr plus. They need more staff and more coordination to sustain the demand and craze for this place. The burger tasted good but the price, time and confusion wasnt justified.

One of my favorite spots for vegan food in Anchorage. I have been a customer for years despite the exorbitant prices, but recently have found the cashiers to be overtly rude, bordering on hostile. I placed an entire order yesterday, only to have a surly employee glare at me and say, “I didn’t hear a WORD you said.” When I asked for a bag for my leftovers, I thought she was going to slap me. She handed over a small pastry bag for half a burrito. Sadly the food is not really worth the potential for hassle and humiliation of ordering it.

Went here for vegan food, wish I didnt. Im not a picky eater, but these were some of the saddest dishes Ive ever tried. Please dont invite your non-vegan friends here to try vegan food, theyll get a wrong impression. We ordered two things: Unicorn Bowl - can barely taste anything but onions and cilantro; beans and cauliflower rice are otherwise tasteless. Vegan BBQ Burger - the patty is a mix of dry and compressed veggies with some spices; this is as far as you can get from a proper juicy burger one expects.

The B.A.L.T was great. Ordering the food was fine: got it to go. They asked for my phone number so I assumed I would get a message when the order was ready. I waited around the pickup counter, keeping an ear out for my name, nothing. 30 mins waiting for a sandwich, I finally approached the counter and the three people there seemed to mysteriously loose their vision and hearing. I stood there staring at them, « hello? », one of them turned around and answered the phone. Another was prepping the tortilla chips bags while staring at me trying to get someone’s attention and still do nothing other than fill the bags up ONE chip at a time. The other had no choice but to confront me just to act like I’m interrupting their workflow. Ultimately, I’m willing to pay a little more because it’s simple, healthy food. I don’t mind waiting a bit and I understand that it can get busy. I do mind having to go through this each time I go in there. The only time I can get in and out of there with no problem is when I buy a smoothie. 2 stars cause the food is decent.

I visited this restaurant today with my husband and toddler, and had a really nice experience. They were a bit busy, and we had to wait maybe 10 minutes before we could order, and the employee told me it would probably be about 25 minutes for food to come out and asked if I still wanted to order. We were ok with that. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the menu options and the quality of the food we received. The manager (or maybe owner?) came out to check on us while we waited for our meal, and brought my daughter a fruit cup to snack on while she waited. That was very kind. The portions were hearty and typical diner items come with a special touch that made this place memorable. For example: the thick cut bacon, the berry butter that comes with French toast, and the sauce on the breakfast burrito were all unique touches. From all the positive reviews we saw of this place, we were excited to go, but it turns out the atmosphere and food presentation was the best thing about this place. their food is over priced and mediocre at best, and thats be generous.I ordered a 16oz cappuccino and after sifting through an enormous amount of flavorless milk froth I get to find barely any coffee at the bottom. I took my drink to the barista and asked why there wasnt more coffee in the drink even though I had ordered a larger sized drink. From whom Im assuming was the manager said they only put 2 shots of espresso in, regardless of the size, so realistically im paying for flavorless creamy coffee. When i asked to just switch it out for an Americano she told me i would have to pay for it, even though i barely touched my original drink. i didnt even entertain it, i settled for water because at least the water tasted better. At least I could depend on the Mexican eggs benedict that everyone was also raving about??? WRONG, it tasted like they dumped all the generic taco seasoning that you buy for family taco Tuesday onto a plate. I didnt even get halfway through the meal, no reason to force myself to eat something I dont like at all. Even my English muffin was burnt. We have to pay for our food first, and they dont even try to make sure their guests are satisfied. At the very least their Tropical smoothie was great, but Id really question life if they couldnt even blend some fruit.

Generally it was ok. Its a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly, prices are average for serving size. I had the greek salad with the tomato balsamic vinaigrette... It was a nice sized salad, but I found the vinaigrette to thick and strong; it needed to be cut with water or a little oil. I only put about a third of the container on as it was pretty thick and gloopy. By the end of my salad my mouth was not happy from the extremely sting vinegar. My wife had an omelet that had squash, carrots, and maybe sweet potato. She said is was good but needed salt. She did say the side of potatoes we very good.Id try it again but would skip the greek salad, it just not for me.
