Worst company EVER to deal with. First, drive from Valdez to Anchorage, after being told they were open until 4PM, arrive at 2(ish) and they’re closed. Can’t get our truck. Second, they avoided all our calls requesting an update. Third, they lose our keys and decide it’s best to not let us know and see if we have spares, and instead punch out the entire mechanism to replace it. Fourth: drive back up to Anchorage and they don’t have the keys we’d sent up... a call would have been cool that the keys never showed but not surprising they’d fail again. Blank look on the gent’s face like the ant trailing the one that stepped out of formation! Good luck to anyone daring to give ‘em a go 🙄

This place is a total scam and rip off. $50 just to check your engine light?? Auto parts stores and most other actual mechanics do it for free smh. Don’t go there! Save your money and go somewhere legit!

After my experience today with this shop that I had been using for the last 5 years, they have lost my business forever... it broke my heart to see a shop that I use to rate 5 stars crash and burn to 1... They tried to charge for work that wasn’t authorized. The front counter girl was dishonest about saying I authorized work when after two phone calls said put the wheels back on and I will pick up my truck to her twice that they were not authorized to complete a $1000 dollar brake job or change my winter tires over. They decided to change them anyways and try to charge me $42 which I refused to pay since I did not authorize the work. Not the same shop it use to be. Sad to see. I made sure to return the stack of business cards I had planned to give out to those in need of a good shop.Former post: Nick and his team are nothing but kind and professional. I have taken multiple vehicles to them and they always get it right the first time and they have excellent rates and they do not try to embellish on what repairs you need. I have also referred many people to them and they always tell me good feedback. I was previously married to a mechanic and they are not all equal Ive seen what good and bad mechanic do, and these guys are trustworthy!

I have had extensive work done with these guys, because of buying a lemon from a used car lot. The people here are honest, and stand by their work. They have been more than fair with me, even paying for a tow to the shop. I’ll continue to use them for any work I need done. Thanks

I randomly found Rally online, and was so glad to have found an honest, reliable auto shop. I was new to Anchorage at the time. Rally saved me over $700 from what a competitor quoted me. They told me that they wished that they could sell me on it, but that the car just didnt need the work. Ive never heard that in my life at a car shop. Ive been back to them 4x, all were pleasant experiences. I would definitely recommend them.

The only place in Anchorage to go for vehicle repairs. Nick is friendly, extremely knowledgable and most important, trustworthy. Not only do I bring him my work vehicles but my personal ones as well and in two years, I have yet to complain about something. Tough to find a shop like this these days.

I made an appointment on Tuesday to have my car worked on on Friday. I made special arrangements to have someone pick me up and take me to work. They didn’t touch it. They had my car all day long and did not even test drive it. When I returned 10 hours later to pick it up it was exactly where I had left it and had never even been moved. They did Not work on my car even though I made an appointment three days in advance. They did not even touch it.

The first few appointments seemed OK - especially liked Nicks response until they werent fixing the car completely. Brake issue took me three service appointments before they repaired. Meaning, they said it was fixed but it wasnt. Then, I took the car back for a power steering leak. They kept my car for nearly 5 MONTHS - telling me nearly every week that it would be done the next week, then Nick was on vacation for a couple of weeks and then it was fixed but they road tested and found out it wasnt. Every week it was a different excuse. I kept, mistakenly it turned out, trusting them. I called and called - left messages - no response. So, after 4.5 months, thinking they might have gone out of business because they werent responding, I drove by. Seeing my car was still sitting outside in the snow, I finally got ahold of the owner. Stan, the owner was belligerent and non-apologetic about the status. I had it towed to another service shop who were able to diagnose the problem in one afternoon and repaired in two days after waiting for parts! I would never, ever, recommend Rallys to anyone.

Used to be our favorite auto shop, no idea what has happened to it over the past couple years. Had a coolant issue, dropped it off for 2 days and they couldnt identify the issue. Took it to a different mechanic and he knew what the problem was within a few hours. Cant reccomend this place anymore

Unfortunately Poor-Fair is the lowest rating I can give these guys or theyd be getting something much less complimentary. Terrible service. I wish I would have known prior to my visit that this shop already has an established reputation in Anchorage for being ripoffs. Go somewhere else, itll pay dividends.

I brought my car into Rally Automotive in December 2016 for an oil change and tire changeover. When I dropped my car off they said they would call me in the afternoon when my car was ready. Around 4pm I called to see if the car was finished because I had not heard from them. They told me the car had not been started yet but they were going to pull it in right then and it would be finished by 5pm when I got off work. The manager told me if there was any delay he would call me and if I did not hear anything that means the car was done.I showed up a little after 5pm and when I got there I was informed that my car had not been brought in and started yet and was still outside waiting to be brought in. I was annoyed but said just bring it in and complete the work, I will wait.It took 45 minutes to an hour but was completed a little after 6pm. It was an inconvenience and a little unprofessional, but I understand things can get busy, yada yada. I just thought water under the bridge, it wasnt their best day.Fast forward to today, a month later. I am selling that vehicle and a buyer brought it in to another mechanic for inspection. That mechanic says the company who did the last oil change was sloppy and spilled oil all over. So not only was management incompetent but the mechanics were sloppy/hurried and now theres oil all over the engine compartment.I wasnt going to write this review but the lack of professionalism and pride in their work is astounding. While I was in the waiting room 4 or 5 other customers came in or called to pick up their vehicles. None of them had all the work requested by the owners completed or their vehicles just werent completed yet. It was just one excuse after another. I also had the pleasure of hearing the owner/manager deal with the Nine Star reviewer above. One the phone the owner/manager was rude and condescending, I feel bad for that person.I figured how bad could an oil change and tire changeover be, this place makes me think twice.

Rally used to be Warfield automotive, I absolutely loved Warfield, I always went to them for everything and always felt great about the service. Then my favorite shop, right up the road, turned into Rally. Their name changed but I continued to go there. The first issue I went there (Rally) for was my ABS brake warning light being on. I called them and was hoping for a 1-2 day job, I was going to college and just started a family, I really needed my car. They told me at the end of the first day it was the electrical system and it may take a bit to fix, maybe 2 days. I was okay with that, but then I didn’t hear from them for 2 days, I called them and got to Stan who said it’s still in the shop completely torn apart and it may be 2 more days. That night I had my friend run me by the shop to make sure the car was actually inside. It was in the exact same parking spot I had left it in. I think it took like 3 more days after this, my attendance suffered (graduated cum laude though). The ABS light was off so they did the job. I’m thinking that’s alright because they did do the job even though it was very suspicious the car wasn’t “torn apart in the garage”.I ended up getting bit the next time though, I went in for new tires and Stan had just got a set of 4 used tires from a previous customer’s car. I informed him that the tires were a different size and he said that wouldn’t be an issue because the rim size was the same. Later that day I’m called by Stan and he says my drums need to be replaced they are overdue for servicing and falling apart. I go ahead and let him take care of the drums, I get my car back the next day.I start heading down the road and not even a quarter mile away I notice smoke blowing out of the back of my car. My tires were too tall and were rubbing on the shocks. The drums were still dirty and didn’t look new at all. I had them put my old tires back on the car. Looking back, I never got refunded for those tires, or the drums. I just wanted to go I was young and not too smart at that time I should’ve demanded repayment. So, a couple weeks after this incident my ABS break warning light comes back on. Of course, I call them and they tell me to go ahead and bring it back in but it would be a new charge. Being fed up with the poor quality of service I started Googling. I figured out where that wire was under the car next to my passenger door. That 6 or 7 day job turned into some electrical tape connecting exterior car wires instead of using proper wire connectors like heat shrink terminals.I do owe them one thing though… The next time my car started acting up, I started Googling, and I started buying tools, I started fixing the problems by researching and using high quality parts, not cutting corners, and not giving up. I suggest not taking your vehicle to Rally.

I was travelling in Alaska this summer and went to Rally for a repair on my truck. It started well, very friendly but they could not deliver,Changed the back wheel bearing and one front bearing,I had to go back for both repair( front bearing broke and back differential leak because of changingthe back bearings )repaired again, no charge. The differential still leaked (got it repaired elsewhere but Rally paid for it )Front wheel bearing broke again, got it repaired elsewhere I was on my way back to Canada, but then Rally would not pay for the repair, the bearing lasted 1 month.I had a disagrement on the payment of a towing, the conversation went through 911and was recorded, when I confronted the manager with is mistake I was yelled at and he hung up on me.Cannot judge the intention but the results are unacceptable.

I brought my 03 Chevy Malibu to Rally automotive for diagnostic services on 12/13/. I Informed the front desk person of my three main concerns that needed repair for me to be able to commute safely. 1-Not able to accelerate adequately/ felt like I was pulling a trailer. 2- Whistling noise/ sounded like air, not metal squealing. 3- Check engine light was on. I requested a diagnostic for repairs that would fix those problems. The front desk attendant, was writing while I was talking. I assumed he was relaying what I was saying on paper. they knew and were alright that I was being financially aided by Nine Star Services. I initially did not want to use Rally Automotive due to all the awful reviews on diff sites, however Nine Star said they were most likely to approve services through Rally then anywhere else.I finally receive a paper diagnostic 8 days later. The diagnosis included: Coolant/ Antifreeze/ Engine Intake Manifold Bolt Set Lower/ Engine Intake Manifold Gasket Set-Valve cover gaskets and upper set included/ 5 Quarts premium oil and a new filter/ all the labor, $1,056.00. I think I was talking with nick when I specifically asked him if these repairs would get my car running correctly again, will it fix my acceleration problems, and will it get rid of the noise. He responded by saying yes. Astonishingly Nine Star approved these repairs to help out my family. After receiving that check, I had exhausted all options to finance any vehicle repair. But that was alright because my vehicle was supposed to be up and running again. Rally had my vehicle and the check for the repairs on 12/23.I get to pick it up on the 30th. Immediately the vehicle is whistling and lagging in acceleration still. I bring it back and nick doesnt take any time reminding me that Nine Star only paid for the estimate. I assumed they would fix the problems because I was notified the thousand dollar repairs would fix these mechanical problems. They pulled my car into the back after about 15 minutes of me making phone calls. Ten minutes later they came out telling me there was another problem (one that for some reason wasnt found that 8 days they were diagnosing). They fixed that and now its on a test drive. At that moment nick hands me the phone and tells me the owner wants to talk to me. The man on the phone immediately starts demanding me to take down a review Post on Facebook someone else had made about my experience already that I had vented to. The man on the phone would not let me get a word in, he continued to tell me they wont do anything with my car that was sitting in the back until it was taken down. He then continued on to say that he would contact my case manager from Nine Star and request for disciplinary actions. This man who said he was the owner also mentioned contacting my work at Alyeska resort, Girdwood if I did not take the review down. These actions made me feel that my rights were being threatened, that I would have to sacrifice my car, my Nine Star assistance, and my job for someone to have freedom of speech. He made it very clearly a threat. I hung up and told them to get my car outside now. It took them a little more or less than ten minutes to bring my car out, at which point they told me my transmission was going out. After a week and a half long diagnosis and all of these dramatic events and my transmission is going out according to them. I will now have to take my car to another mechanic and make sure no further damage was made. The employee Drew needs to be employed elsewhere with a more credible biz, he stands apart from the rest with his customer service and has a much better sense of professionalism. This was all so freaking stressful, unnecessary, and the whole time he was trying to make things better.

These guys saved my car! Its very likely they saved my life, too!So I bought a used vehicle recently. I initially brought it to another mechanic - L&M Motors. Those guys had no idea what they were doing. They fixed something in my vehicle, and it stopped running properly. The car would stop in the middle of the road, and day or night I had to tow it back to their garage, get a rental, etc. The car was actually running with no issues before I brought it to them. It happened on 4 different occasions within one week, which cost me a lot of money and nerves. I became really good friends with the towing service people. More than $3,000 dollars in repairs later and the problems persisting (not to mention the exhaust getting into the cabin), I was ready to give up on the vehicle and just trash it.But, I gave it one more try and brought the car to Rally Automotive Repair, just to see what another mechanic would say.Within hours, and just for $300, Rally Automotive Repair fixed my car! I was speechless! I was amazed! After going through the nightmare with the other mechanic, I could not believe it, I thought I was dreaming! My car was running - and still is running today - like a champ. No smoke in the cabin, the engine is running like a swiss watch. I love the car, my life is back to normal. I even had enough confidence in it to drive it to Fairbanks and back several times since then. I have absolutely no issues with this car now (its been more than a year). I just change my oil (at Rally Automotive Repair, by the way) and tires as necessary, and thats all. Guys at Rally Automotive Repair really know their stuff. I hope they stay in business and prosper forever because I would not want any other mechanic to touch my vehicle.p.s. In regards to saving my life - the other mechanic screwed up something in my engine when they were changing some gasket and the oil started splashing out onto the hot engine creating smoke that entered the cabin. It turns out it was a dangerous situation where oil could have caught on fire. I am glad I brought the car to Rally Automotive Repair guys, who quickly and affordably fixed the problem, possibly preventing the engine fire and the car fire.

Worst experience Ive EVER had with a car repair shop. I understand things happen, dont always go a planned, and that people get busy, so I was pretty patient-despite the hardship of not having a vehicle. I got a different story every time I called. I was told I would get callbacks, and didnt. I was told numerous times they tried to call but I didnt have missed calls or voicemails. Initially I was told that the car would be looked at same day or next day. (Aug 30) Had my car towed on a tuesday afternoon. (Sept 1)Called two days later in the afternoon- I was told they were still confirming diagnosis -but worst case scenario, it would be $1000, the repairs could be done over the course of two days and that the parts were in town. (Sept 6) Didnt hear from them so I called for an update. Was told that it was not the worstcase scenario. (Sept 7) ws told that the parts were not in town as they thought, so they would have them overnighted. (Sept 13) Received a call to say they had the parts. (Sept 16) called for update because I hadnt heard from them-was told I would get a call right back-didnt. (Sept 19) Called and told them that if it wasnt done that day then to forget about doing the repairs. I got it back at the very last minute that day. Even though it was not the worst case scenario it still cost the $1000. I ended up with problems that I never had before I took my car in. When I called and asked for an appointment to address the issue since it appeared once I got my car back, he said they wont make an appointment and denied that the new issues could possibly be caused by them. When I doubted him because of something the owner told me, the guy said the owner knows nothing and that he must have lied to me to buy time. He said he had to get off the phone and hung up on me. Horrible experience.
