It was great. I ordered it for curbside and they had it ready in 15 minutes. Very friendly girl brought it out to me too.
I went to the Best Buy in Ames again. The employees are great and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions, even the ones I didnt ask. The prices are good.

I dont think I could be more disappointed with a store. I have been buying through BB for YEARS & am in the process of building my new home. Ordered all my kitchen appliances in August to be delivered Oct. (As this was the earliest delivery date)... One week before delivery I got an email saying EVERYTHING IS CANCELLED! NO EXPLANATION. I called, on hold for an hour & they told me one thing was on backorder so they canceled everything. Theres nothing we can do, you should go to the store & see what they have for you there so thanks for nothing BEST BUY clearly youre not the best buy.

Dont get me wrong I would buy everything in here, the customer service needs to be a tad bit better. Nobody likes to be waiting to cash out, and nobody is around or only one person is at register. But over all nice place to shop.

I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I was greeted and helped as soon as I walked in. I told them what I wanted to purchase and they pointed me to the ones that worked for me answered all my questions helped me get all the accessories I wanted and that was it.
Stood around the phone area for 1/2 hour, no one came to ask if needed assistance, they dont need my business
I was assisted in purchasing an 80 TV by one of the best sales person ever. He knew the answer to every question I had. Before leaving I asked for his supervisors name and he tells me hed only been at his job for 2 weeks! Amazing.
I ordered a dash cam installation with Best Buy for $60. After doing some research online it seemed like Best Buy would be able to hard wire it to my cars fuse box and hide the wiring under the trim for $60.When I got to the ames store I asked to speak to the installer to confirm what I had read online. I spoke with someone named Ricky who told me they could only plug it into my cigarette lighter for $60 and it would be an additional $70 to get it installed the way I wanted.From looking at customer reviews of this service on the Best Buy website it seems other Best Buy’s are able to do the hardwire installation without charging extra, however the ames store charges over double the standard installation fee which is outrageous.The only good thing about my visit is a worker named Josie who was very helpful in both getting me to speak with Ricky and helpful in cancelling and refunding the installation.
Had a network switch I needed, but not the one I wanted. Otherwise a good place. Seams like these days of online shopping, places like this arent as well stocked with variety as they use to be.

15 day return policy is a scam. Afterwards you have to go through manufacturer which is a gamble on whether youll even get your product replaced. Amazon has better policy and prices

This store does not have alot to offer. The staff ask if you are looking for anything and you tell them no and they follow you around and act as if you are an inconvenience when you just want to look at things on your own and at your own pace.I fully understand that there is a pandemic but there is still room to be a good employee and kind to your customers.
Looking for car audio and I knew what I want and needed. They didnt have what I wanted on the floor but they did have it in the installer parts in the back. The kid that helped me had a passion for car audio and it was great to talk to someone that knew what they are talking about.
Salesman was very knowledgeable and did not pressure our decision. Offered alternatives as well.
I have been waiting on hold for 30 minutes trying to reach management.. I am usually someone who doesn’t feel the need to complain but this is unacceptable. I work in customer services and this is on the top of DO NOT. Yesterday, my mom came in to buy a TV. She knew which TV she wanted and proceeded to ask for help from BEN F if she needed any cords to hook up her DVD player.. she told Ben that she hasn’t gotten a new TV in years and he said she didn’t need anything. When I got to my moms I found that she needed an adapter and a HDMI cord. It would’ve been helpful to know that so we didn’t have to make a trip back to Best Buy. When we got there the SECOND time, Ben was being so very helpful to another customer... he helped her carry the tv out and made sure she had everything she needed.. so my question is why did my mom not get the same service BEN gave to another customer? I went up to Ben to tell him that is the kind of service my mom should’ve received and he proceeded to tell me “I think it’s been a frustrating day on your part and tomorrow’s a new day” that is not how you speak to a customer who is supporting your business. We made a big purchase just to get awful service and for our feelings to be disregarded.. i do have to say thank you Will for helping us out in 5 minutes and for actually being a nice human being.. I am very upset with how you guys are running this establishment.

They lacked the knowledge on whether they had an item in inventory or not. Ordered from them and its taking longer getting it that way. Also, I am not claiming to know how or when their inventory comes in but I cant imagine they would wait so long to stock their inventory.
Bought several appliances here. Utilized curbside pickups due to covid-19. Very efficiently executed by their staff, and the prices are great, beating Amazon prices. Will definitely buy again.

I’m located in California and today I spoke with Ivy who helped me get a product that was only available in their store. The general manager was very helpful and supportive also as he was able to get everything approved. Their goal was their customer satisfaction and they truly exceeded the expectations.You guys are the best and I’m truly thankful to what you have done today and everyday to make your customers happy.

I enjoyed my stop at Best Buy Ames. I browsed for a few minutes before an associate came over to help out. I gave him the basic rundown of what I needed, and he matched me with a laptop. I left without purchasing at first to go price check at Walmart. No one there helped me at all. I also didnt see the type of computer I needed.I turned right back to Best Buy for my purchase. I ended up signing up for a store card, after another associate and I had a nice conversation about credit lol. I enjoyed that they let me think out loud and have honest conversation without pressuring too much on the card.
Every pickup order I have placed has been delayed. Last order was changed to delayed 45 minutes before the store closed while I was in the store to pick up my order. The only solution offered was told to wait until an unknown date or cancel my order. Very disappointed.
If you arent buying a major appliance or new phone, you are not important. Staff is rude and not to be bothered with things like questions OR accommodations for the disabled. Yelled at a deaf couple when husband moved his mask aside so his wife could see to read his lips. They werent near anyone. Shameful.

Revision from my review 7 months ago. Just visited and walked around the 15 min with not one salesperson asking if I needed help. In fact, one guy kept making eye contact, turned and went the other way. Twice. They barely have any computer component stock anymore. Best Buy sells vacuums? What the ??? It’s sad but this store has totally changed. Floor staff are not motivated or friendly. Manager at the exit eyes every person leaving like he’s ready to pounce. Horrible experience. I received car speakers for Christmas from the online store. Went in to exchange the rear speakers in the store, they called someone from “auto” who said that was all I needed.(Turns out it wasn’t). I called and scheduled an appointment to get them installed at the store and the women CLEARLY had no business answering the phone. She set up an appointment a month out and told me it would be $100 to get my speakers installed. After waiting a MONTH I took my car in and found out from the auto tech that everything was wrong. The women had scheduled an hour of general labor not speaker installation, which would take over an hour for just the front set! So I couldn’t get them installed that day. Also, I needed special parts that they don’t sell in store to put in the rear speakers and would have to order online and wait for them. It also was over the quoted price! God bless the auto tech for fitting me in for half of what was supposed to be done! There was a month to correct these errors before they happened. Will never buy from here again, except for installation, they clearly don’t know what they are doing in sales and scheduling.

Decently broad selection of products, was able to easily find what I needed by walking up to employees and communication between their departments is good. Only complaint is that theres a small selection of electronic adapters compared to other stores. Shout out to the employee Chris from mobile that was super helpful and knowledgeable.

Found the item I needed on a competitors website while I waited for 16 min with no employee answering the phone. 3:49pm/03/02/2021 the time I quit believing in bestbuy.
I took my laptop that was not starting properly to their tech support (geeksquad) section, and they were very very helpful! They gave me advice for free and I was able to fix the issue. Thanks Best Buy! Thanks Geek Squad!
