Visited the Sephora inside JC Penney in Amarillo TX to get help choosing a color for the fenty foundation, an older woman with dark hair that works there said she couldn’t help me because of covid yet she turned around to help a woman and her daughter get color matched HANDS ON. The other customer was of different race than I so of course I feel that was the reason. I turned around and told my husband they couldn’t help me because I couldn’t get color matched a second Sephora employee heard and came to help she said they definitely could color match me and gave me a color to try I didn’t see her again because she went to check out a customer all while the first woman continued to color match the other customer hands on. I left and called the store to get the name of the lady who denied me service and I was told her name is Lacey. Now, I’m not one to assume I’m being racially discriminated against right away, but I very much believe I was today. I’m absolutely disgusted by the service I received from this Sephora employee.
I have NEVER had any product fix all of my skin issues, but Starr found it! Most sales associates push items on you to get sales, but she genuinely cared. She found my Holy Grail product, and after 10 years of wasted money and time, thats a big deal. Of all the times Ive visited Sephora, she has been the only truly informative and attentive sales associate there. I truly appreciate her and will not buy online, but shop in store for that particular product. A genuine employee!
Found what I was looking for but got laughed at by one of the workers because I asked for a blush/Eyeshadow combo which she quickly retorted was too dark to be a blush even though it says on the box multiple places that its a blush, is advertised as a blush, and looks great on any skin tone as a blush! So maybe keep your unwanted opinion to yourself and do your research before you try correcting customers and make yourself look like an idiot!
Anytime I need help finding some random makeup or fragrance my wife is wanting the manager, Starr Avilés, is always great to help me. She practically lives there lol so its good to have help anytime its needed👍
So many things were out of stock. Service was almost great, until one of the workers rolled her eyes at me for asking for someone else for help because she was busy. Yikes

Everyone is really nice when I walk in offer help but when Im at the register I never get my 2samples even when I ask for them and usually I get an eye roll or an annoyed face.😒
Store was extremely unorganized, testers were messy, used cotton swabs and pads were left on displays, staff was unhelpful and unprofessional (sitting at makeover station and singing obnoxiously).
Never going back after my third time visiting . Horrible service everytime . Girls were very rude and seemed annoyed with the questions I asked about getting matched for foundations .
