If I could give a 3.5, I would. What makes this place good, is that it has most of what you need. Ive never gone to this hardware store and not been able to find something that works for my project. I do feel like when I walk in Im walking into the late 70s or early 80s. This is a pretty old store and hasnt been upgraded in a very long time. Its still completely functional and who doesnt like a little nostalgia now and then.

Extreme bad parking lot and unusually disarray displays made me that if I thought I were somewhere else. I usually am happy to visit just about any Ace H. But, oh, boy, not this one. Sorry. That how I felt when I visited this Ace H.

A little pricey and the staff lacks personality. Outside of that its useful.

If you need hardware or other repair parts for your home such as plumbing, then theyre convenient but pricey.

Most of their stuff is overpriced but its great when you need something quick for a repair. The staff is friendly and the cashier Jesus is always polite and sure to make you leave smiling.

Altho they didnt have the right size venting hose I needed, the gentleman who helped me was most courteous & tried his best to show me where the product is kept & determine what was the correct size I needed. There definitely is a wide variety of merchandise in this hardware store. Parking is along the driveway but plenty of spaces in the back.

More expensive than the bigger home improvement stores but its nearby and convenient for small items I need.

This is Ace Hardware store, I got the wrong size belt thinkng I had the right one, so I needed the man to help me and he got the right one for a very old vacuum; man I should have ask for help when I first went there. As you see when you need.help you need help..... just ask for it😃

Its an old building but they have a lot of materials that can help with your emergency needs and projects.

I have been coming here for years, ever since I bought my first house in Altadena in 1986. While the selection is not as extensive as Home Depot or OSH, they almost always have what I need. And being a neighborhood store, that means I dont have to drive 15 - 30 minutes while in the middle of a project and needing something. Thats worth the few cents more I have to pay!

A great resource... I think a few folks are missing the point of the neighborhood store. This may not be the place to go if you are building a home, but for one or two items it sure beats driving to HD or OSH. You might spend 0-20% more on something, but Id gladly spend a few more dollars and complete my tasks now, than drive, waste gas, and an extra 45 minutes going to the Big Boxes - Whats your time worth??They usually know what they are talking about. And, their selection of plumbing parts is amazing - also, generally of significantly higher quality than the-cheapest-of-Chinese-junk found at HD.

This not home depo or osha but they have things for the older home still. Like old style light fixtures for the older fashion kitchen. Older fluorescent ceiling fixtures. Above the washer dryer area fluorescent. Older bathroom light fixtures. They plumbing pipe lengths from plumbers that did jobs for bigger homes but still good lengths for small homes. Replaced a old wall heater for the bathroom. Ordered a new one that fit and worked perfectly. They have plder bricks for driveway walkways. Rewired my whole house and garage. Got all the proper wire size. My electrician needed include new electrical boxes and breakers 50 and 30 amp breakers. Prices about the same. Older style door knobs.

I dont know about their pricing generally. However, theyre the only store listed on OCedars site that actually has the mop refill I need in stock. After driving to two OSH stores and Throop I discovered that none of them have carried the item for months. At least this place updates their inventory. Thanks.
