We find ourselves here almost once a week on average! Love to support local hardware stores when possible instead of the Home Depot & Lowe’s. We also noticed this perfect wall for a mural on the side of the store. The were very receptive and gave us creative freedom to do what we do best. Thank you and enjoy the artwork too! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is always somebody available on the floor asking if you need help (a far cry from the non floor service available at Home Depot where you have to hunt around the whole store for someone to help you and they more or less run away from you if they see you coming).

...their friendly, curious, etc. But like ALL stores that I ( a man in his 60s, yet, a working poor man, that happens to have a small amount of color / lm a hebrew ) patronize: EVERY employee is on HIGH ALERT; and therefore, if ( say ) 5 employees pass THE ISLE that I happen to be shopping in ( I DONT STEAL!! / Eph. 4:28-30; John 10:10a; Prov. 15:3; Rom. 2:16 ...K.J.V. only! ) ...EACH one of them LOOK ABRUPTLY at me ( every single time, as if Im a THIEF at some level )! ...WHEN we ALL stand before Gods JUDGEMENT seat ( II Cor. 5:10-11; Rev. 20:11-15 ), MANY people are going to be GREATLY SHAMED!! ...And, by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, I will NOT be one of THEM. So glad I found this place. Its a little out of the way for me, but worth it. Didnt expect how large it would be and how big their selection is. I recently needed a specific M2x10 screw. Called Home Depot, and the guy who I was directed to just searched their catalogue and clearly had no idea what that kind of screw was. Called here and the guy who picked up immediately knew the exact type of metric screw I was looking for and physically checked their inventory before I drove in. Long live the brick and mortar.

Ive lived in Altadena for 25 years and used these guys the entire time. Super friendly staff that is willing to talk to you and offer advice. Of course they dont have the selection of a Home Depot, but who cares. For 85% of what you need these guys have it and unlike the big box stores theyll actually talk to you and take the time to understand your project. Very friendly. Love these guys.

A very high-end hardware store the prices are almost compatible with Home Depot. The staff is very knowledgeable and they have plenty of items to purchase. There is almost always someone waiting near the door to show you where your merchandise is. If you add the time and gas money that it takes to get to OSH or Home Depot it isnt worth bothering going to either place.

This is my favorite non big box hardware store. And it is a MUST if you need nuts, bolts amd screws. Amazing customer service. They do screen repairs. Mix paint. And they cut glass (for my medicine cabinet). They have gardening supploes. They have canning supplies. Amazing cleaning products. And they have fantastic sales (e.g. on hanging baskets in the spring). Dont let the outside appearance fool you....for a seemingly smaller store, they have a fantastic assortment of goods. And good quality goods......like different polishes for stainless, copper, silver, and stone. Oh. And I rent the drain snakes from them. And I have to say it again, AMAZING customer service.
