Always a huge fan of Aldi for a multitude of reasons. The store is easy to navigate, the selection isnt overwhelming, the prices are always right, and everyone seems to understand whats going on when you visit. The cashiers here are as efficient as ever, the carts require the quarter so no ones leaving em in the lot, and theres a counter to bag your groceries on instead of all the places that just have you bagging your own stuff at the end of the belt, causing a jam while folks wait for you to get out of the way. This parking lot is plenty large and never difficult to get in or out of. We visit monthly.
Aldi is great. Avoid the rip off dollar store next to it. They are part of a debit card scam! Seems to be run by some Armenian people who just rip people off all the time. Youll find extra charges from the dollar store frequently and if you dispute it they say you were there even when you werent in the town. 100% fraud dollar king store!
German cheapness at its finest. Want a bag? Gotta pay for it. Want a cart? Pay for it. Want a clean cheap place to shop? Free. 🇩🇪
IF YOU NEED ICE forget going to Aldi. Wierd selection of items although reasonably price really not a good store but the dollar store next door is awesome
Great place to shop but I recently couldnt find bleach there so I gave 4 stars
I was so happy when Aldis came to Altadena my neighborhood before I was going to Arcadia Aldis. Still great customer service and products a must stop for me 2 or 3 times a week. Very pleased
The place is a small/med size place with a good amount of selection to choose from. They do not have a big selection of produce or meat/chicken. But for all the ambient stuff is good veriety. When time to checkout, theyll ring it up, but you got to bag it yourself. Oh the best part of Aldi is their price is incredible and their meat/poultry is real good.
It was so organized one long long line from the beginning to the end of the store two people in the in the store
I love the things and groceries at this store i go very often
Aldi stores in the US look just like they do in Germany; same logo, same size parking lot. Even the shopping carts manage to look just like the ones in Germany! Nothing in the stores suggests that Aldi is a German company. But it is! Their worldwide headquarter is located in my hometown, Mülheim Ruhr.
Convenient location n nice associates. Highly recommend for daily groceries
Interesting items, mostly processed foods. Small section of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I found brown bags for my project at church,,, I asked a friend and she referred me to ALDI of Altadena,,, bought also groceries at unbelievable price...Thanks ALDI
Great selection of food, beverages, wines, beers at great prices.
They have the freshest food you could find
Great prices and very efficiently run. About half the price of other places like Vons.Only complaint is that they on out of stock on certain thing much more than other stores.
I enjoy this market because it has good quality, excellent prices and I love that the customers have to bring back their carts if they want their quarter back!
Like all the rest of the ALDI stores in orange county! Great personal, clean, affordable and full stock of different products and groceries.
We love this store... This is where we go on a weekly basis
Fabulous service! Clean easy to navigate isles. Gleefully staffed!
Love this store, the prices are so low compared to the other grocery spots. I can always expect great prices
Great prices. Fun stuff to look at and food. Nice staff.
Low prices and easy to get in and out of. Few choices of brands, but that simplifies shopping.
Simple stop and grab with good prices.
Love shopping here. You have your standard items/favorites and all at great prices. Very clean market and friendly staff.
Great prices. Excellent and very fast checkout. Clean. Easy parking.
Fresh produce, great price
One of the worst Aldis for customer service. Cashiers are very unfriendly, they must be stressed. Dont they stock shelves at night? Maybe they need to hire more people. Shelves are empty of items, on a Wed. At 11 am???If you ever ask someone if you can finds them. They dont know wth. What happen to the few good workers they had in the beginning. One African American cashier is the ONLY friendly, helpful person I ever saw there. Havent seen him in the last few months. Corporate needs to get something going here. Its horrible.
Its hard to go to any other grocery store with the level of FAST checkout and CHEAP prices. The lack of options ensures your shopping is not overwhelming. Its a Trader Joes with none of the crowds for a quarter of the price. You will be hard pressed to find anyplace more affordable than ALDI. Highly recommend.
Clean, well stocked, wide aisles. Excellent meat. Courteous checkers.
I like the variety of EVERYTHING they have. Its hard to resist to buy and try it at least once.
Very good store
Oh my God I cannot believe the prices
Im always happy with my shopping experience at this store. Its a bit of a drive for me, but worth it with how much I save. I get all of my basic grocery items here, but I save fresh meats for my trips to Ralphs, and pull ups/diapers for my pickups from Target. Oh!... And I always stock up on the $2 wine!
Great checkers, clean stores. Good variety of offerings..prices are reasonable. Go at least once a week. My regular stop. AAAAAAAA+++++
Great prices, great products, great staff! My local favorite!
Prices are good. Selection is a little ... eclectic. I will be back!
Love Aldis. My favorite go to store. Everyone that works there is super nice and helpful.
Aldi is great could use more cashiers but great deals every week good spot for milk, eggs, cheese, and butter
Convenient place to shop your groceries.
For me best value for price. I would recommend this place for my friends. Every Monday im here for another shopping. Thanks for your service.
Aldis is always a good place to do some fast shopping. May not have everything you want but they have some of most things.
The merchandise is great, but the store has not evolved with the demands of the pandemic. I left very disappointed. Carts are not being sanitized like other stores. Precautions are not being taken to maintain a clean check out experience either. I normally take my own reusable bags to gather my groceries, but while shopping at Aldi, it really is irrelevant. Since Aldi has a no bagging policy for their employees, every customer must use a cart at check out, sanitized or not. The cashier looked for the nearest cart to throw my items in, and he literally threw my items. I found him incredibly rude. Until check out, I had really enjoyed my experience. Id rather go to a market with better customer service and higher sensitivity to the consumers needs.
I love Aldi. The store is always clean and organized. I am able to find great deals and get a good bang for my buck! The cashiers are always polite, friendly and work quickly.
New Aldi to me.Didnt know that theres one in Altadena
Great prices! Great service! Well stocked!
Good basic products at exceptional prices. No frills, but youre not assaulted by tons of advertising or infinite competing products that make getting out of the store a chore. Easy in and out, thats what I like.
The clerk was a little unhelpful, the broccoli was ringing up a wrong amount. I didnt realize until I got to the car and looked at my receipt. I took it back in he called someone to look at it they just wasnt friendly Im not used to Aldis being so rude
Aldi is such a great place to buy non-brand food. I mean, its kind of like a swedish trader Joes. Go there for good quality good for less.
I love shopping here. They have outstanding prices for quality food...eggs, yogurt, bread, cheese, milk frozen items, bananas. The produce is good but higher than Im willing to pay.
They end up charging us the for two items when we only bought one and this is like maybe the fourth or fifth time theyve done this enough is enough and what we have to go back up there we dont have a number to call them and let them know what they did wrong and this is up and altadena were going to have to start reading our receipts when we walk out the store
Theyre a employee there that is so rude, makes mistakes and mistreats customers due to his short comings I believe his name is David!!
I love the store because it has alot of cheap things you could buy which is helpful during these times. But one thing my family and I didnt like was how u have to bring your own bags to put your groceries in. It was our first time of course but still.just wanted to let you guys know
Aldi is a rare gem and Im very happy top babe this here. Once you understand there philosophy over typical American grocery store atmosphere, you will enjoy their efficiency and super low prices on many items. Staff is friendly and while sometimes hard to find, they are always willing to help.
Quality and price is great
A lot of well priced items. Most product brands are not familiar. Some staff are friendly some are not. Store is fairly clean and organized. Ample parking spaces.
This place its getting so popular this is now my favorite store, I just wish this store carried low carb bread like some others aldis
I love how it is always clean and things are easy to find
I like their selection of a wide variety of food items and their prices.
Better than outlet.... great prices
Basic food and supply store; easy parking. You need a quarter to detach a cart. No name brands but their own brand can be tasty. They are a subsidiary of a European (German?) grocery company so youll find a lot of international foods. The prices are lower but you have to bag your own groceries.
I always find what Im looking for here. An entire shopping list for half the price. Some of the brands are not exactly popular brands, but they work out just the same, (if not better) for the price. The employees are helpful, the store is tidy, and my only issue with this location are the long lines. Make sure you bring a quarter (coin) to borrow a cart. Yes, you need to have one on hand.
Great!
Clean store, amazing prices, a good selection of organic and gluten free items with very reasonable prices. You have to have a quarter for the shopping cards but if you don’t the store employees will allow you to borrow one. Overall a really good store I just wish they had more selections of merchandise.
The cashier was extremely. Helpful to me
Good deal good service
Good prices, Excellent choice, but need more deutsche goods and bonus Card will be greate ))
I like Aldi...good prices, selections. This location is very convenient to drive to, park and shop
Aldi rocks...
Prices are lower than their competitors. Variety of products are available. Bring your shopping bags and 25 cents to get a shopping cart. Plenty of parking. Safe location. Good for smart shoppers. Convenient location. Store is clean. Staff was helpful to me. Items are always in stock. The store even have flowers for special occasions!!!! Store is adjacent to main road artery. There is small shopping areas, restaurants and even a post office is near by the location. Safe for locals and tourists. I definitely recommend the store if you like to save on your groceries.
They have great food options
I love this market so much. Great prices, great quality of meats and chicken. Fresh produce always. Over all good market to shop at
I have to say 4 stars because everything there is so low price. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I dont think it has a lot of food. Other than that I would recommend going here
Best quality foods, best price, great service, like Europe you take cart with 25 cent and will never leave the cart on parking area!!!
Good deals!
Love this store! Clean & the employees are friendly!
After all the overwhelming US stores with their confusing huge selections and deli counters and frozen convenience food aisles and coupons etc., this store is a breath of fresh air for an European expat who just wants to cook his own stuff. This is definitely German style, down to the deposit-unlocked carts (no carts standing in parking spaces ready for you to crash into). Bring your quarter, or get one from the cashier. The German style Brats are pretty much real German style. The only thing I could criticize is the produce, theres better options concerning taste & freshness.
So so !!!! They have off brand items.
Aldi is an excellent value, with small brand items and some brand items of Their Own. You will be able to find all of your Staples here. There are some minor idiosyncrasies but you should know before you go. The baskets require a deposit of a quarter to use. There is There is there is a large metal basket in the store folding cardboard boxes were you to use to box up your groceries instead of bagging them. The store is great and definitely worth checking out.
Great pricesBring a quarter for the shopping cart.
You should come here and see all the great snacks they have. It is super affordable too...! Please do yourself a favor and come to Aldi. You will not be disappointed. 🔥
I love this place! Great prices. Only thing is i have to travel a couple of towns over to shop here. Wishing they would put one closer to downtown l.a.
I love how inexpensive almost everything in this store is and all of the people that work there are so friendly! Ive never had a bad experience at this location and am willing to drive a half hour just to get my groceries there every other week.
My go-to grocery store for 43 (!!) years now. When they moved a little farther away from me, I keep going there because, the pharmacist is very helpful with my med questions. Her support staff are great, too!
Friendly staff in a newly renovated facility providing friendly and prompt service. great selection of international, Latino, and domestic foods and housewares. low-cost alcoholic beverages, fresh fruit, vegetables, and breads as well as delicacies imported from Germany.
Its good for staples.
Interesting. Place is not that big. A lot of items are less expensive than Ralphs, Vons. Some of these brands Ive never heard of, but them seem good, fresh.
Good place to shop
Store clean, cashier was friendly. For myself, its a store of convenient for just a few things. I would not shop for a pantry/refrig fill up there. Good buy on the off brands.
While at first I was totally unfamiliar with Aldi, its become my go to store. I love the fact that you need a quarter to get a shopping cart because this eliminates the ugly cart abandonment problem in the lot and surrounding neighborhoods. Not to mention car dings from runaway carts, which was a big problem at the former store occupying this site due to it being on an 8% grade. While Aldi does not have shelf after shelf of extremely similar competing products like other stores--I actually find this very helpful--I dont want to have to look through 30 types of cereal to find the one I want, what they have is excellent in taste and value, it often being their own store brand. Found some peanut butter and chocolate cookies at $1.38 a package, and they taste totally awesome, and would easily cost $3.00 or more anywhere else. Wine selection, while small, has a good range of prices, and the store brand, Winking Owl is an excellent value at $2.39 a bottle, and very suitable for everyday consumption. Likewise with the produce department not having a huge selection, but they have what you need and always have something great on special (like blueberries 2 for $3.00). Three is a large baked goods section, and the 12-grain bread at $1.69 a loaf would cost far more at Whole Foods or Sprouts, and tastes GREAT, toasted or not. I feel the meat department is the weakest department --its Costco style--where one must buy large packages to experience a cost savings, and since its just myself and my husband, its a hassle to buy a large package and have to divvy it up for the freezer. I buy my meat somewhere else, but thats about it. Dairy is one of the best values in the store, and I like the cage free eggs at at least $1.00 a dozen less than anywhere else. Dont mind bagging my own stuff, and the staff is always friendly and helpful here.
The isles are very wide. Means it easy to move around. They have small selection is products, but good options of food items. I had their bale at home fresh pizza and it was pretty good, well balanced flavors.
Im sure this place works for some, I just always feel that they are either just opening or about to close their doors because there never seems to be enough stock. It always feels empty. The people are always nice, so that works on their favor.
Aldis is a great place to shop, and prices are terrific. Love the atmosphere in that store.
If youre looking for good quality everyday products and you dont give a fig about brand names,Aldi is the place to shop. Good quality meat,a fair selection of vegetables and baked goods, a very good section for beans, rice, etc ...eggs at an incredibly low price...and an honest If you dont like it, bring it back policy Ive only had to use once for some mediocre coffee cakes... You have to bag it yourselve and pay a quarter to rent a cart (you get it back when you park the cart) but I dont consider that a disadvantage, especially since they use real human beings at the check out and not a machine. And if it matters... Aldi is the parent company of Trader Joes...
Great place for mostly all your shopping needs. Only some name brands but its all basically the same stuff and far more reasonable. I frequent
Not what I expected, and Im a little torn on the experience. I prefer Sprouts or Trader Joes. Im very interested in seeing how long this model lasts in this community. I wish it was Fresh and Easy
I wish they would open up store in Glendale
