We got bids from all the big guys (Anderson, Pella, et. al.) and decided on Marvin composite windows from AVI. We couldnt be more happy because the color works with the brick and they were able to do all the non-standard windows I have in my home. Plus, they were cheaper than Anderson or Pella.
They have a good selection of materials. However, my company made a purchase of close to $4,000 about month ago. At the end of last week, I got a call saying they need me to pay for the materials again because they took down my company credit card information wrong. While we will be rectifying their mistake, this is still strange to me, because I watched them take it down and it was accurate. I even remember seeing the charge authorized when I was doing our accounting. This error on their part was an extreme inconvenience, as my business processes thousands of dollars of money going out every day for multiple projects. Finding out we weren’t actually charged almost a month ago forced me to sit down with the bank account and go through pages and pages of transactions over the last 30 days to confirm. It is no small “oops” to say “Remember that $4000 we all thought you paid us last month and gave you a receipt for? Mind sending it again?”I would have only bumped a four star rating down to a three star, had the woman who called me not been condescending and taken a defensive tone that suggests she thinks my company is some kind of flight risk when this was their own mistake. We process millions of dollars in annual company revenue, and this company will not be seeing anymore after this payment.*EDIT: I am downgrading my review to one star due to atrocious customer service. I asked their accounting department for a copy of my invoice, so I was not having to simply take their word for specific amounts of charges that were supposed to post the week of September 22nd. They called me at the very end of last week, meeting that this was three weeks since my visit and presumed payment. Instead of receiving an apology for a large inconvenience and waste of my time, I got heckled and forced into meaningless debate about it only being 10 days from September 22nd when I purchased the materials to October 12th when I received a call. I wouldn’t recommend this vendor to anyone. Shame on me for not buying from PMC like I usually do.
