Thank you for making my Mothers Day Sweet! I was in last week and decided to order ahead my favorite croissants to pick up today! I wont mention favorite flavor, because I often come by too late in the day to get it, I will keep it a secret so I dont make it sell out quicker. The rich flavor profiles and lightness of the pastries here are unmatched! The owner and staff are kind and friendly. They remember our names and always ask how my daughter is doing, if I come in alone! My favorite local business! Thank you for making sure I could get my special order for my special day! I lived in Paris for a year and I can attest that these are the best croissants Ive had outside of France ever! The cafe is clean and the service is so kind. Everything is beautiful and I really dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. This is one of the places that I always try to take visitors because its so good!!

What can one say when they strike GOLD... Coming out of an 8 week long Lent fast the first thing that touched my mouth was an Egg and Cheese Croissant.. Between the crisp and flaky shell and the buttery taste I was in heaven...Now how to get this everyday somewhere close to Silver Spring is the question....

This little cafe is such a hidden gem in Jefferson Manor! I had an iced vanilla latte and it was absolutely the best coffee Ive had in a while. The espresso had perfect strength/flavor and it was perfectly sweet- they also have almond and soy milk. The raspberry chambord was fresh and so tasty! I will definitely be back!

This place is SO yummy! We got the Lemon Meringue, something amazeballs covered in almonds and some brownies. Everything I ate made me say WOW. We were visiting from out of state but if were EVER in Alexandria again, well be stopping here!

We went today to get two coffees and two desserts. Because there were no tables to sit, we got everything and went 10 mins driving away. The coffee tasted and smelled really bad like being burnt. Also the desserts while they looked amazing, were just okay taste wise. We got disappointed from our experience. I dont think we will go back soon.

New to the Alexandria area and wanted to find good French pastries like Napoleon, Eclair, and others. We didnt find those goodies so we got a pistachio gateaux, linzer cookies, and chocolate cookies. We loved the linzer cookies and the others were good. Would go back to this place.

Delicious cake and good coffee. However I am in search of a bakery which could produce a cake for a special occasion. They were unable to do it until November and it is now late August. The three stars reflect my disappointment.

Absolutely the best croissants Ive ever had. The spinach and feta is to die for. So is the maple pecan... And the raspberry goat cheese... Ok they all are. Macarons are incredible. Everything is.

Voila is a bakery and cafe (with coffee!) in south Alexandria. Its in a strip mall so its small, but does have some tables inside. They have fancy pastries and a few cookies, etc. They also sell turkey and cheese croissants. I ordered three small chocolate chip cookies and a turkey/cheese croissant. The order was only $6. My food was just okay.

I loved this place. It is a little pricey but I felt like it was worth it. The coffee and the pastries are fabulous! If your looking for a treat, give this place a try!

This place is the best! Such a hidden gem. Breakfast croissants are absolutely delicious (but you gotta come early cuz they go fast)! I haven’t had a piece of cake that I didn’t love and the service is always great.

Definitely give this place a shot. It is always clean, the staff are always friendly, and the assortment of pastries and breakfast items is pretty amazing. It sticks out to me in the area for being different and has great coffee.

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon, around 4pm, and was surprised that there was nobody here. It is a gem of a place! Atmosphere is mellow, pastries are amazing and pair up with your coffee so well too! They have great coffee and just a wonderful place to even get some school work done or meet with friends. They do have wifi, which is a plus, just gotta ask for the password. The chairs can be a little rough but not bad. Parking should always be available since they have plenty of it out front. Customer service was great and have nothing to complain about.They are also hiring at the moment, so maybe they do get busy at times! All in all, really great place to relax and have some great coffee!

My wife and I came in the evening after a dinner date. They were about 20 mins from closing but the guy there was very accommodating. Great service and he brewed some fresh coffee that was phenomenal! We selected 3 different pastries to try and each was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Excellent bakery and coffee place. I dont like Starbucks or other coffee chains, so I always look for smaller locally owned coffee shops. The coffee was very good, much better than most places.The pastries themselves were pretty good as well, but a bit pricey. we ended up spending almost as much on Coffee and pastries as what we spent on a fancy lunch at another place.Maybe not an everyday visit, but definitely worth coming here if you are in town for some excellent coffee and good pastries.

I had a birthday theme and an idea of the cake I wanted. They delivered a fabulous version of the cake I had in mind. Unmatchable customer service too! Guests were impressed by the design as well as the taste. Thank you for a job wonderfully done!!

I visit every weekend and grab an iced caramel macchiato. This coffee is unlike a franchised coffee shop for example its savory and correctly made every single time. I would suggest trying every pastry lol Im taking it slow with trying a new one each time I visit. P.S I have not been disappointed yet.

Pastries are fantastic. Favorites include the lemon meringue cake, mocha chocolate cake, & devils food cake. And the Madeleine cookies are delicious as well. Their coffee is fantastic. SO much better than Starbucks! And their iced tea is the best Ive ever had. Love stopping in for a coffee or iced tea on the run. But, enjoy hanging out with a cup of coffee & and a sweet treat as well...while using their Wi-Fi. LOVE Voila!

I buy an assortment of sweets from Viola Pastries every weekend and eat them throughout the week. They remind me of the cakes and tarts my grandma used to bake. They have a homemade taste. You cannot buy anything like this from any grocery store. I do not miss the preservatives, oils-and-sugar-overload and artificial flavors the grocery stores offer in their selection of boxed sweets.

Good croissants, but honestly.... a mouthful of butter and sugar for something supposed to be a cake. The cake had no cake in it.And way too sweet. They are all practically the same cake with little differences. And then it melted in the car.As for the croissants, they were not bad at all. I would definitely return for the croissants, seeing that they were softer and had a variety to choose from (including a vegetarian spinach and feta!)

I live really close to this place and we always stop by here for dessert. Cookies and really good. They have decorated, really fancy small cakes. The caramel squares were too sweet as well as the praline pyramid. The nut ganache was delicious though! They are a little too expensive for their prices in my opinion. About $5. Oh and they have amazing croissants (spinach/ham cheese/ roast beef) I dont know how they do it but they make the bread part perfectly. Im definitely coming back to get me some more:)

An absolute local gemI absolutely love the place.Their pastries are baked on the premises and are fresh daily. They have incredible variety of cakes, croissants, madellines, etc.Their coffee is strong and brewed frequently.The owner is extremely kind and generous. She took the time to describe all the pastries to my 6 year old and assure him that his choice was free of peanuts as he is allergic.

Be transported to another country when you step through the doors. The desserts are so out of this world it must be sent from heaven or a massive sin, I cant tell.As a local I enjoy a large cappuccino and flaky croissant any day of the week.

I love this place. Amazing pastry. However, u less you are getting regular coffee I would suggest you pass on the beverages. Very inconsistent lattes. I have tried multiple times to love their speciality coffee drinks but the young staff seem to not understand that lattes are not 10 ounces of milk in a small iced latte. Even the Americanos are watered down beyond saving. It would be 5 stars if not for the beverages. Great ambiance and decor.

First time and last time, I’m talking about my experience I don’t care to Pay $10 for a piece of cake if the cake is good, but if the cake is bad is really hurt to waste money .. I try the cake very dry and specially for $5.50 very small piece not worth it .. I try many cake from different places .I give it a try because is a private bakery but not impressed is better to buy a costco cake bigger better and less expensive ..

Delicious little pastries tucked away in a non-descript strip mall. Lovely little shortbread cookies and everyone was impressed with the macarons. Slightly pricey but on par with quality.

One with half eaten cakes and coffees in pretty dishes. The coffees each have a tiny complimentary madeline cookie on the saucer. Very sweet presentation.French music is playing softly in the background creating an elegant and tranquil ambiance.I select various cookies to try, which are all piled on top of each other in the same bag.The barista informs me that theyre sold by weight, like the bulk section of my grocery store.Not individually, as I would expect from a high end café and patisserie.I also order a café latte, which was made quickly, (by no means meticulous) and presented to me in a to-go cup.If I had wanted to grab a coffee, and leave, I would have gone to Starbucks.Its a good idea to ask the customer whether theyll be enjoying their pretty treats here, or to-go.I told her that I actually wanted my coffee in a mug, to sit and sip it here.Rather than making it again, with a lovely design on top, she takes the to-go cup, and dumps the contents into a mug. Adds a madeline cookie she dug out of a large jar, then sets it on the counter for me to fetch.Trying to be a good sport and enjoy my afternoon treat, I got up and brought my unappealing coffee back to my table.This was not a latte at all. Very disappointed. The coffee was very weak, and tasted like crappy drip coffee from a diner. With some hastily steamed milk froth on top.It had very large bubbles, one the size of my thumb. The steamed milk was dark and yellowed. This is not at all how a latte should be.The madeline cookie was very stale, dry, and not sweet at all. I could barely taste butter or vanilla. Only flour.For the coffee and madeleine, Id rate 1 star.Then I tasted the macaroons.They were tasty, and the texture was nice. Nothing special, but as good as other macaroons Ive had.Their other cookies were dry, flavorless, and stale. I dont know how old they are, but surely not made fresh this morning.As I was sipping my disappointing coffee, the barista started mopping around me, and the smell of bleach flooded the room.I definitely wont be back.
