I am an avid collector of vintage accessories and exclusively wear vintage costume jewelry circa 1930s-1960s. I visited this shop on NYE and was so excited to see the lovely collection of jewelry and bags...but the prices are absurd. I know its old town, but come. on. I ended up getting a pair of aurora borealis clip earrings because I needed them for that night, but ON SALE the price was over $90. Absurd. They werent Weiss, or D&E...just run of the mill AB rhinestone earrings. I would be in here all the time but for the prices. Such a shame.
Great and helpful staff. They didnt have what I was looking for; and a small selection for curvy girls. Its a nice shop in a good location. Parkings scarce; and metered. Will definitely visit again.
If youre looking for something off the wall and really obscure but in great condition and really authentic - no matter what era - this is the place to go. I was floored at the selection and the quality of the pieces. But also wanted to spend hours there just perusing...unfortunately I didnt have hours, and if I did, Im sure it would cost me because it was not cheap. Prices are fair to high. So just be prepared to find something you really love and than pay for it.
Some neat things, but the proprietor is condescending, patronizing, and less than intelligent. I returned a dress I decided not to wear. After scouring the store for an hour for a way to expend my store credit only, (with her one step behind me to ensure I didnt try on anything that was too small because I might bust a seam) she told me that she would need to see a photo of me in the other dress as proof I hadnt worn her dress (?!). Not only insulting, but rather illogical. The neat things they do have are very expensive and I regret having ever stepped foot in there.
This place might have been okay if not for the owner. I was drawn in by a sale today and she was incredibly rude the entire time I was in the shop. She followed me around much of the time I was in the shop, and when I did find a dress I probably would have purchased, she refused to let me try it on, and told me I was too large for it. I was wearing a wool pea coat, so I dont know how she can presume to know what size I am, but based on the measurements she had written on the tag, it would have fit. I know my measurements. I sew for myself and I shop vintage regularly, online and in person. She tried to point me toward casual modern mall brands in much larger sizes instead. The dress I had wanted to try on was a formal dress. She lost my business today and I will not be returning.
This boutique is beautiful. Gracious owner. Many unique authentic vintage pieces, especially dresses. Very nice selection of jewelry.
This far exceeded my expectations in inventory and customer service. Highly recommend this treasure trove. Love love love it!
Great Store, Good Selection, Employees were helpful.
Great selection of vintage items. Clothing and accessories. The owner and staff are helpful and attentive.
Stopped in and enjoyed talking to owner, many lovely and unique items. Purchased earrings, however find for a consignment shop to be a bit on the high side $$$$, however, I will go back for the jewelry.
The owner wants to take your purse. she follows you all over the store watching your every move. NOTE: with alot of professional women in Wash DC area, I strongly suggest staying away from this store!
