Amazing bagels and sandwiches! Staff is always friendly and helpful! I always seem to want to go on Monday’s and Tuesday’s when they are closed. Finger crossed they change that soon!

My wife and I had a nice experience at The Chewish Deli this morning. We ordered a mixed bakers dozen, a breakfast bagel with lox, a bagel with cream cheese, and a coffee & mocha on ice.We waited outside and our order was ready in approximately 8-10 minutes. Drove down to the Oronoco Bay Park and had a relaxing breakfast.My bagel with the lox had a nice balance of onion and capers which was nice. My mocha was perfect. We enjoyed the whole experience 🙂

Just went to the amazing new small business owner bagel shop. Service was 10++++ ******While I was waiting for my breakfast sandwich - Egg, cheddar cheese on rye, 6 firemen came in to buy sandwiches. Due to 9/11 being on my mind I treated all of the firemen for whatever they wanted. The owner came out & it was an blessed experience of gratitude for all of us. I will be back. I live 4 blocks away.

Best bagels in Alexandria and the entire DMV! Go at least once a week for a breakfast sandwich and iced coffee. Look forward to it! Don’t waste your time at any other bagel place — this place is legit, tasty, and always 100% on point! Can’t go wrong. Order the day before if you know your plans and skip the line but if you have to wait it’s never more than ten minutes.

Ordered the pastrami on rye, lox with everything and a plain bagel. The pastrami sandwich was pretty good and the best item of the three. The plain bagel had the chewiness but lacked the taste of a NY bagel. The lox bagel wasn’t bad but I feel like I’ve had a better lox bagel at some of the Korean run bagel places in DC and Northern Virginia.

These Bagels were delicious! 10/10. They had a hard exterior crust with a beautifully soft and chewy interior. Got half dozen and shared with friends so I tried a little of each flavor and they all were fantastic. My favorite was the everything bagel and the sea salt bagel! If you are in the area definitely stop her for breakfast or lunch!

Get the bagel breakfast sandwich. Those are amazing. The sugar and cinnamon bagel is not a donut so don’t think it’s a dessert bagel. Service is reasonable for having to wait outside (10 mins). Cashiers are very friendly and helpful.

Overall really good bagel and really good cold brew. In my opinion, they over did it with the amount of seasoning (sesame and everything seasoning) on the bagels, but it was delicious and would go back.

We have loved Chewish Deli since the beginning! We recently had them cater a 35 person brunch party. They delivered everything to our home right on time. Everyone raved about the bagels. The platters they brought were beautiful. The iced coffee was fab! We were thrilled and would definitely use their catering again.

I have been enjoying bagels from the best bagel shops in Brooklyn NY for years. If anyone tells you that Greggs dont match up or are not the real deal take my word that they are full of it. Greggs grammy lived in Brooklyn her whole life and he knows what bagels are about. He brings that Brooklyn authenticity to his bagels. ENJOY!

Very good bagels especially relative to other DC area establishments. The bagels are chewy, ingredients are fresh and coffee is good too. My only suggested improvement area is extreme amount of salt on everything bagels, with salt crystals clearly visible all over.

Really good bagel place just on the edge of Alexandria. Love how the pastrami bagel feels homemade like how a mother would make it. The lattes are good as well.

Best bagels in Alexandria, VA. This is a small shop so it is carry out only. We have been a few times for bagels in the morning and bagel sandwiches for lunch. They have a simple menu with some fun cream cheese combinations that change seasonally. Even if there is a crowd outside (most days) they get through the orders fairly quickly. The sandwiches are filling and come with bagel chips on the side.

Showed up on a Sunday morning around 930 to a 5 minute wait. Cashiers kept it moving and waiting outside was great. Take out only. Had the breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage and a veggie cream cheese on everything. Both were fantastic. They serve oat milk and cold brew! Win!Definitely a bagel place that is much needed in old town! Will be back!

Delicious everything bagel, finally a place in NoVa with great bagels! I got the Tzatziki cream cheese which was very interesting. Will be coming back!

So we found thisbplace using Google and decided to walk in and order a bagel spread which consisted of salmon and white fish. From the staff being personable and the owner alone was a 5 star. This was ordered for my cousins birthday and I tell you that she has eaten alot of Lox amd she said this is the best she has ever ate down to the bagel. I would give this place another 5 stars if I could.

Bagels werent very good. DEFINITELY NOT New York style. Not sure why they claim they are...We got better breakfast from Royal Farma.Very disappointed in the food. Bagels were no better than grocery store bagels and bacon was undercooked and chewy.

Best bagels in Old Town, but still not as good as Call Your Mother or Bethesda Bagels. Showed up at 11:30AM on a Sunday to multiple bagel flavors being sold out already (including Everything), not sure how a bagel place runs out of bagels that early. The bagels we got were inconsistent quality wise - some were over cooked and rock hard, some were absolutely perfect, crunchy outside and chewy inside. But with Bethesda Bagels being in Rosslyn now and Call Your Mother right over the river, I’d make the extra drive so that all the bagels you get are consistently good.

Old Town had been seriously lacking on high quality bagels and the Chewish Deli stepped into fill that void. Our family’s personal favorite is the Everything but all flavors are delicious! Do yourself a favor and pick up a baker’s dozen and schmear. You won’t regret it!

Ok, so I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to so called NY Bagels. Someone brought a dozen bagels to a brunch I attended this morning and I was literally transported back home to NY. SOOOOOOO good!!! I cannot recommend these bagels enough!!! I dont live in/near Old Town, but I will definitely be schlepping there for bagels from now on.

Simply the best!!! I ordered online Wednesday to beat crowds for a Saturday am pickup. On Friday, I got a courteous email from Greg, the proprietor that their shop mixer broke, but had enough dough for the online orders, so he drove to our place and dropped off fresh hot bagels, these are so delicious warm and delivered. Will be returning again and again.........

Fantastic bagels! I tried both the plain and the Asiago, the latter having more of an understated taste of cheese that isn’t overpowering. I also ordered the pastrami which was also delicious, supplied by a local spot in Maryland.

Delicious! I tried the cinnamon sugar one today and it was *chefs kiss*! I’ve also tried the whole wheat or wheat (I believe) a little while back from the food truck! I can’t wait to spot the truck again! 🙌🏻

I equate these bagels to a Charizard card in 1998. You want one, it looks amazing, you are so excited to get one. BUT its almost impossible to ever get your hands on one! I am 1/5 trying to order them.The time I got one it was great. but its super irritating trying to order. Saturday is impossible. I waited until the shop opened and they were somehow already paused.

The product is good but the service is lousy! I have been there 4 times and every time the order was screwed up.

They have super great bagels ...need to expand checkout and longer hours! Theyre swamped but manage ojay. Suggest opening at 7:30 not 8:30. Closing at 1.
